The menu had a nice variety to choose from, including numerous vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. We went for lunch and had the roasted Brussel Sprouts and the Shishito Peppers for starters. I could happily have ended my meal there and left happy, they were soooo tasty! For the entree I got the Chopped Salad, which was so delish. Light, flavorful with so many textures going on with the crisp greens, chewy raisins, perfectly roasted butternut squash and topped with crispety-crunchety mulberries. I can't get enough SŌW!!! I have dined or or carried out probably 50 times since they opened. My favorite items: Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, breads and spreads, steak sandwich, side salad, pad thai, salmon sandwich, tofu lettuce wraps, and the cashew Mac and cheese. Nice upscale place. Very modern, sleek decor. Beautiful outdoor area with a nice bar and a great cocktail menu. People say it was pricey but we had the Mediterranean bowl priced at $10. (Try getting out of Brassica for under $15). Also had the Pad Thai, both were delicious. Okay, the bill did come to $60 but we had wine, the bread and spread appetizer and coffee after. I enjoy the food, drinks and service every visit. The restaurant reminds me of my SoCal favorite restaurant. The menu is fresh, unique and seasonal. Food, service, decor, everything was so good! For drinks, we got the beetroot juice, the watermelon cocktail, and another cocktail whose name I've forgotten but it features their (homemade!) kombucha. All three were pretty tasty, but I think the watermelon was my fave. We had the bread & spreads and blistered shishitos for starters. I've literally never had shishito peppers so delicious, no joke! They were well seasoned and flavorful just on their own, but the dip was also very good. And the cashew pimento dip was so unique and tasty. The guac was fruity and you could just tell the avos were wonderfully ripe. For dinner, I ate the carrots and daily soup (a kind of beetroot gazpacho), my mom has the pad Thai with tofu, and my dad had the veggie burger with pita chips. I kind of wish they'd had fries as a side option for the burger but other than that, everything hit the spot! The carrots came with roasted fennel & tomatoes all on a bed of delectable spread; each veggie was still crisp and overall delicious. The beet gazpacho.... my FAVE of our entrees! Not what I expected but so tasty. My dad's burger was hefty and each ingredient was good, and my mom's pad Thai was a little spicy but still yummy. We finally got the yuzu pie for dessert and I think yuzu is now my new favorite flavor. The crust was just a bit too hard/whole-grain flavored for me, but it was in general a great ending to a great meal. Luckily for us, it wasn't that busy so we got a table easily without reservations but I do hope business picks up for their sake (and mine) because I can't wait to keep going back! read more

Great happy hour for a Friday evening! And happy hour goes late until 7PM, so definitely plenty of time to enjoy the drinks and deals! I enjoyed the flatbread and two half salads with my friend. I was pleasantly surprised when I walk in the restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful. It was a nice, open space with a slightly upscale vibe. The outdoor patio looked very nice, but we opted to sit inside. As a table, we started with the tofu cups. They had a perfect balance of sweet and heat. We shared these amongst three people, and it was enough to have two lettuce raps each. For our entrees, we had more of the tofu cups (they were THAT good), the sweet Thai chili cauliflower, and the veggie burger. For our side with the burger, we opted to get the homemade pita chips and hummus. You could choose between that, side salad, or a soup for an up-charge. The cauliflower was phenomenal. It was a perfect mixture of sweet, had savory notes, and a bright mix of vegetables. The portion size was big enough for a meal, although it was advertised as an appetizer. The veggie burger was also delicious. It had more of a soft, bean texture than normal veggie burgers. The mango chutney was a great addition to the burger. The pita chips did not disappoint, either. This is a nice place, clean, elegant decor and good service. The food was disappointing, I had a breakfast dish that looked appealing but it lacked in substance and flavor. It was basically a fried egg in pasta sauce with a little vegetables and potatoes. I would suggest they update the brunch menu, add something a little more hearty or a healthy light item. There was just three options to choose from and I don't think any of them would pass for a brunch item in NYC or Chicago. I'm always disappointed when I can make a better breakfast meal at home then what is offered at a restaurant. read more

We ordered the beet salad with wagyu steak for protein and the sustainable white fish dish. Oh my! Both are delicious!!! Something about the paste in the beet salad was just so good! The steak was cooked at a perfect medium rare and it complemented the salad. The veggies were super fresh as can be seen in the picture. The white sustainable fish dish was .... wow... wowwwww l!! The fish was soft and crunch at the same time! It wasn't salty at all but filled with flavor! The sauce and potatoes and veggies just completed the meal! Loved the atmosphere and decor here is a very organic chic vibe! The food is also great, they have healthy options with good flavor and a wide selection! Service is the one downfall! We made a reservation and were seated on time, however it took 20+ minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us and even that was bringing water cups over. People who were sat later than us were serviced first. It was 8:30 by the time we even saw a waiter and could place a drink order. So slow! This place is amazing! Especially if you have any food allergies or sensitivities! I'm currently on a fairly restrictive medical diet (low-acid) that makes eating out nearly impossible. Everyone from the hostess to the servers was gracious and helpful. The chef even came out to run through the dish with me and help determine modifications that would make it safe for me to eat. I am always a bit anxious to not be too annoying with my many requests, but everyone made sure I was comfortable and they were so happy to help. They went above and beyond and I am so grateful to have found a place that I can enjoy eating out with friends again! Beyond that, the ambience is so beautiful and calming. Everyone at the table was impressed by the good feel it created and really enjoyed their food. The menu has a nice variety of options for all palettes and diets. The dishes were all reasonably priced, especially for the quality of ingredients and the use of local sources when possible. They also have a nice outdoor patio that will be good to try next time! Clean, fresh and airy that was my first impression when I walked into Sow plated. The white walls and green grasses makes the area feel big. A long bar on one side (large window that opens onto the outside patio) and the kitchen on the other. High top tables in the middle with additional seating around the outside of the room. Reservation are only taken for parties of 6 or more. We arrived early enough that getting a table was not a problem. Our waiter was good, a great talker. I was so excited by the menu, love the sustainable, local and farm to table idea. We started with the Roasted Brussels sprouts served with hazelnuts, gremolata (a dressing made with herbs, garlic and lemon) and radish greens - delicious, lovely blend of flavors. The shishitos peppers which were grilled and served with a spicy sriracha aioli. Around 10-12 per portion and a few packed some heat. For entrees the Pad Thai was recommended. It was OK in my view didn't live up to the reviews Lacked flavor, bland and not enough spice. The Faroe Island Salmon was nice, small piece of fish served in a spicy (which it wasn't) coconut curry sauce with bok choy. Both mains were good but a bit disappointing. All desserts are gluten free - bonus! I was sold on the yuzu (similar to a key lime) pie. But again disappointed, loved the crust which was crunchy and crisp but the actual filling, in my opinion, was to much like a custard and again for my taste, not sharp. This is honestly one of my very favorite spots in Columbus! It is on equal par with Northstar. Their menu has the most delicious dishes for a variety of tastes and uses top quality ingredients. I cannot recommend it more! Staff is friendly and ambiance is perfect--even down to the chill tunes. The pad thai with chicken is one of my favorites. Juices, cocktails, french press coffee and apps are all stellar. Every visit to Cbus this place makes the list! A++++!! read more

New restaurant that opened up in the shopping plaza in Upper Arlington. I decided to stop by because I had heard about this new "vegetarian-friendly" restaurant. The interior decor is beautiful. The restaurant has a very modern aesthetic and even has a outdoor patio and bar. It definitely makes you want to instagram everything - the decor and your food. I came around happy hour time where all appetizers are $2 off, so I ordered the shishito peppers. Good amount of food for the price. The dish came with a spicy Asian mayo which was great to dip the peppers in. I think the peppers could have used some acid (maybe lime) and it would have tasted even better. For my main meal, I ordered the pesto pasta, based off of positive Yelp reviews. Was disappointed in the flavor - the pesto and the almond ricotta seemed pretty bland and the dish in general lacked flavor. For a $17 dish, I was expected much more punch. I also ordered the ginger lemon kombucha - was OKAY. Didn't taste much ginger lemon flavor to be honest, but as a kombucha drink, it was carbonated and refreshing. Will probably come back in the future to try other items on the menu. read more
