Came for brunch at SAGE Social Eatery on a Sunday late morning around 11:30am. No wait to dine in outdoors, though the picnic style chairs do not have backings outside if you need that. Chilaquiles ($14.25) + pulled pork ($3): Tortilla chips with sauce, sour cream, pulled pork, thinly sliced red onions and chopped tomatoes. I would have preferred pico as mentioned on the menu but it appears it perhaps was not available hence the onions and tomatoes on the side. Served alongside rosemary potatoes. The potatoes were unique with bits of kale intertwined - something different and was quite delicious. Dutch Baby ($16): Dutch pancake served with whipped cream and fresh fruit. The dutch baby comes out in a little cast iron skillet and takes 15 minutes to prepare. Though this was a signature item, we were disappointed as the pancake was a bit burnt throughout the top and the top half was completely dry. The Dutch Baby is fairly small but between 5 of us, we only ate half. Texture was more bread pudding like than a pancake. Small parking lot shared with 7-11 and a laundromat that has their own reserved spots. Street parking available otherwise. read more

started craving brunch after an appointment and sage social eatery was located close by. getting there was no problem and the parking lot is spacious with a few spots. we entered and were politely greeted with aesthetic decor and a warm smile. once we sat and ordered, the plates came out pretty quick as it was not crazy busy. the prices definitely match the portions and the food was more than enough for two ! my most favorite item would be the hot brown sugar latte. it is quite sweet, but i love it. the art and foamy top also adds a cute touch. second would be the side of waffles. i am not sure what they use to sweeten it, but it is so delicious and fluffy. however, after we got our food, we were hardly checked up on until we were finished and the bill was dropped off. overall the food is really delicious (though it could get a little oily) and service was OK. read more

Went out with a friend for Brunch Easter Sunday and what a wonderful surprise this place was. Very nice and quaint restaurant. Family owned and run. Every staff member we interracted with were very nice and you could feel they appreciated our business. This place scores a 9/10 in my book when it came to customer service. They have it down. They have an outside patio but we enjoyed the ambiance inside. Music they had playing was a perfect volume. The food was delish! Ordered: latte ...big cup! Nutella crepes..yum! Trio Avocado Toast..the favorite!. Chilaquilles with 2 overeasy eggs and potatoes. Spinach Florentine Eggs Benedict. For both these dishes, the eggs were sadly overcooked. We didn't find much spinach in the benedict and initially thought they.served us someone else's order. The english muffin was quite soggy but overall it still tasted good. There were absolutely no parking spaces, since liquor store as well as laundromat had their signs specifically for their customers only, there were at most 6 parking spaces available for SAGE. There's a taco spot right next door with about 50+ parking spots available, with about 10 signs stating, "Do not park or your car will be towed", and some kind man from SAGE came to every customer asking if anyone has parked their car next door because the owner has the tow truck on speed dial and will call... Food was mediocre at best. Ordered the chorizo skillet, 6/10. My friend ordered the Dutch baby, and stated they were ok. The waitresses were very friendly, although one had difficulty getting my order due to language barrier, so another waitress would step in. They were all very kind, which was probably the only upside for this spot. Wasn't sure why, but some of the waitresses kept on getting the outdoor table numbers wrong and serving the wrong tables food, a bit unorganized if I can be honest. Ambiance- cute little design inside but way too crowded for a spot that only had 5-6 parking spot. I'm honestly shocked by how poorly this was handled. After a truly bad experience here, the owner Abigail Rodriguez personally promised to make it right with a gift card. We decided to give them another chance--but when we showed up and mentioned it, the staff looked at us like we were making it up. No one had a clue. Not only was it embarrassing, but it showed a complete lack of communication and follow-through. If you're going to offer to make things right, at least follow through on your word. We have eaten here about a year ago and at that time the food and service was very good. Something changed! The water on the table was warm with no ice. There were three of us and one order came out way before the rest of the orders. Ordered biscuits and gravy and they had no biscuits so had to reorder and that delayed the second and third persons order. The food on the previous visit was very good but this time just ok. Expecting more when the prices are higher. The breakfast plate came with toast and no butter either on it or with it. Disappointing visit this time. Not sure about a return visit. So good! We arrived right when they opened and loved the vibes. Ordered 2 lattes, some chicken & waffles, and my wife got the French Toast. The lattes were not only good but huge! The chicken on the waffles was spot on, crispy and juicy, and the waffles were equally good. The price was right and a great breakfast spot for a morning date. If you are not lucky enough to get one of the 5 spots (LOL, truth) that are actually legit for SSE, you'll have to park somewhere on the street. This is of course, not their fault, so that's why no stars are removed. But just thought folks should know! Their service is always friendly and their dishes have been consistently creative, fresh, bountiful. During my last visit there (lunchdate with the Esposo), vegan hubby had their chorizo skillet and an almond milk latte. I had the Cuban sammie with a beautifully tasty (and surprisingly spicy!) side salad. I also had their mint lemonade which was not overly sweet. Pictures are very deceiving. The pictures showing the brick interior is definitely not the same location. No outside butterfly wall. This place looks run down. It needs a deep cleaning done ASAP!!! You'll have a good mix of flies and dead flies join your party. The service was fine. They are very nice. But don't anticipate them to check in on you. You may have to wave them down or get up and get their attention. Bathrooms are muggy and run down. The Baklava pistachio crumble French toast is ok, not anything mind blowing. The biscuits and gravy is a definite no! What chef sends out a dish with a layer of grease/butter. Don't expect homemade biscuits, those are flat pillsbury stale biscuits with water down jam. Lunch items are: Sandwiches, Paninis and Mediterranean dishes (Chicken, Steak, Salmon) to name a few. I tried the Boneless Fried Chicken that came with one Waffle, it was a great combination of breakfast and lunch. The chicken was not greasy, I liked the dry-rub flavor, and the meat was moist and tender. Simply cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed a cucumber Lemonade served in a mini carafe. We had a 12:30 reservation and had to wait 10 minutes for indoor seating, (because this place is popular!) and our server made sure to bring us in as soon as a table opened up. We lucked out with parking right in front. The lot is small, so you might have to park on the street. Food (3.5/5): Chilaquiles (4.5/5): delicious salsa, garlicky home style potatoes, I added two eggs overeasy, which were cooked perfectly. Raw red onions might've tasted better slightly sautéed or pickled, maybe just my preference. Chorizo skillet (3.5/5): good flavor, difficult to eat off of the wooden cutting board under the skillet, a plate would've been preferred (though I know these days wooden cutting boards are commonly used in cafes.), Also a second tortilla would've been nice to round out the meal which had a smaller portion that the other two meals. Jalapeño grilled chicken sandwich (3.5/5): appreciated the thin grilled chicken which allows for more flavor and even grilling. Seasoned fries were not crisp, kind of mealy like frozen reheated potatoes, not fresh. Brown sugar latte (3.5/5): good flavor, brought in a bottle that is awkward to drink from unless you use a straw. The FOOD...... it's givingggg REALLY expensive McDonalds quality. I got French toast plate, $20 for one singular piece of French toast topped with fruit and dry bacon. The coffee is very watered down every time :( I tried to be optimistic, but after 3 times of trying coffee with the same outcome, I fear that's just the way it is. Might've been the fact that it's a busy hour but we had reservations at 12 and waited until 12:15-12:20 along with 10-15 people waiting to be seated. I've always seen this place packed with people, so I finally decided to give it a try on a Sunday morning. When I arrived around 10:30 am, there was plenty of patio seating available, and we placed our orders quickly after being seated. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, the parking lot was full. Be warned, there are limited parking spots in front of Sage, so the next best option is parking on Badillo, which isn't ideal but will do. Now onto the food: it was good! The coffee and waffle were absolutely delicious. I tried the Cafe Horchata Latte, and it was possibly the best coffee I've ever had. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the house breakfast. My wife, daughter, and I dropped by for just a quick Cuban lunch, but to my surprise, they updated and upgraded everything starting from the outside. They did a beautiful flower/butterfly mural on the outside wall that will really catch your eye and added a new coach for customers waiting to be seated outside. When we entered, WOW!
