Been testing this place out and so far been pleasantly surprised. I think the way they do their pork is just really good so we've had that with noodles, in a sandwich (bahn mi), and on a bed of rice. Just done very nicely with great sweet and charred flavors. They have a few other interesting options that we've gotten a few times as well such as their golden bao's. I think once it cools down we'll definitely be back to test out their pho. So far everything we've gotten here has been a winner! read more

I ordered a take out for lunch today. This place is more like a 3.5 stars. The spring rolls were ok. Probably won't order that again since it tastes better elsewhere. I also ordered the Banh Xeo aka Saigon tacos. I thought it would be like the one they serve at Saigon Dish in Lawndale, but this one tasted more like a fried pancake batter. I didn't taste the egg, however, tasted more of a flour batter. It was still good, but on the heavier side since it was pan fried batter as opposed to like an egg omelet shell. Was in the UCLA-Harbor area and stumbled across this tiny place in an unassuming strip mall, decided to give it a shot. I'm a recent transplant from Houston and feel like my pho standards are pretty high, but their product really blew me away! Ordering happens at the counter but all our food was brought out to the table. Shoutout to the guy up front, who was super attentive and even treated us to their new mung bean drink on the house! Here's what we got: - Special Beef Pho: 8/10 (great) Every part of this pho was excellent, from the broth to the meat and toppings. The broth here is everything you want from good pho: clear, clean, and intensely fragrant. I don't usually finish all my soup, but drank this bowl clean without the thought of adding hoisin or sriracha ever crossing my mind. The special bowl comes with four types of meat: sliced ribeye, brisket, boneless short rib, and meatballs. I liked the ribeye the most, thinly sliced and with a perfect fattiness. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the short ribs were a really delicious addition that I've never seen in pho but worked really well. Even the Vietnamese meatballs, which I'm not typically a big fan of, were tasty. Noodles were perfectly cooked as well! - Shrimp Vermicelli: 6.5 (decent-solid) Vermicelli with a variety of vegetables and a house-made fish sauce, topped with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was well-cooked and had good flavor, and the addition of mint to the veg created a nice pop of freshness. Vermicelli is one of my girlfriend's favorite things to eat, and she felt that this version was solid but not the best she's had (she's been more impressed by the fish sauce elsewhere). This is the best pho in Torrance hands down. Probably the best in all of Southbay in fact. The broth is amazing and the great price point is how it should be! I don't need to make runs all the way to SGV or OC anymore. It's up there with those guys too. The other amazing item is the marinated ribeye Vietnamese sandwich. Holy heck. Great crispy bread, great flavored meat, great sauce. Jalapeño cooked into it. It is freaken 10 stars this sandwich. My big dilemma when I come is should I get the sandwich or pho?! We door-dashed from Saigon Eatery twice while we were in town visiting family. We are hard to please because one of our kids has dietary restrictions and cannot eat wheat (gluten free) or beef. It makes finding pho that works for him difficult. So we ordered the chicken pho after I confirmed over the phone that there was no soy sauce or beef in the broth. The chicken pho was soooo good. I also had the chicken pho and the broth was flavorful. They sent so much that it made for two meals. The chicken, noodles, and sprouts were in abundance. Later in the trip we ordered from this once again and it was delicious. Our other child got beef pho and said it was great. I will definitely be back for gluten free chicken pho! read more

This place is self service order. There is a screen to the left to order what you want and to compare what is up on the board above to the left. The part I didn't like is the monitor doesn't match what it says on the board. I ordered spring rolls and it didn't say pork in the menu. When we received the spring rolls, there was pork. I was very disappointed. Before anyone says anything, I've been to many Pho restaurants that make without pork and it hasn't been a problem yet. The entire place is design for families and kids. This is not a place for young adults to hang out. You have to drop off your trays on the counter near the sodas. A little uncleanliness because when I was there we left with more trays and bowls stacking up against each other. I don't plan to come back. The taste of the food was okay. We ended up getting the filet-mignon x2 (pho Bo Phil le). My friend and I ended up feeling worse later. I don't know why but I don't think I'll be coming back. From the reviews here I thought that they sold Vietnamese crepes (aka Vietnamese tacos) but they don't. We ordered 2 bowls of pho, steak and chicken. The steak pho is as you'd expect, traditional flavors and with cooked meat. The quality was good. The chicken however had a more traditional flavor? It tasted more like 5 spice chicken flavoring than what I'm used to, so that was an unpleasant surprise. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. We also had the shredded beef papaya salad, and that wasn't good. I've never had it, but the beef reminds of the Chinese beef jerky kind of sweet kind of spicy and red in color. Lastly we ordered the garlic chicken and that was decent. I added pictures of the interior, because if you look closely there are no condiments on the table, which was a red flag for me! I have to have sriracha with my pho and I use a lot. This place gives you 2 tablespoon size of sriracha with your pho but nothing else. Maybe it's Covid or sriracha-geddon either way I was disappointed. The food here is OK but far for me to get to. The best item was the steak pho. read more

Had the ribeye steak banh mi and ribeye steak pho bowl. Enjoyed it all. I read some reviews about the meat seeming like scraps in the pho, because they were thin and stuck together. I still liked it since it's basically pho tai (but steak isn't served uncooked). I will try brisket next time and other things.The guys working are super focused on getting food and you out, so not focused on smiling and wishing you well in life.
