I was in a hurry today. So I decided to get a banh mi sandwich from here. I had my first bite in my car as I was told it should be eaten fresh and noticed that bread is extremely difficult to bite through. First I thought they toasted the bread but as I tried to eat more of this stone hard bread, I realized this bread is not fresh bread. They must used old bread. This is a big disappointment and I couldn't eat the rest of this sandwich at all.
Clean restaurant. Staff was very efficient and friendly. I came for the $10 pho lunch special and it was great! It came with a good amount of protein and noodles. The broth was very flavorful and delicious.
I've heard great things about Saigon Eden and finally go to try it last night when I meet up with a friend for dinner to catch up. Need to come back to try more dishes! They also passed out complimentary warm dessert to all their guest dinning in. Who can say no to a warm bowl of mung bean sago that's not too sweet. 124. Com Bi Cha Thit Nuong (Rice dish with Charbroiled Beef or Pork, Baked Egg and Shredded Pork) - we opted for Charbroiled Pork, tender and flavorful. Rice was well seasoned with everything on top and was good texture. 121. Banh Hoi Thit Nuong Chao Tom Cha Gio (Vermicelli sheets with Charbroiled Pork, Imperial Roll, Shrimp Paste)- loved that the vermicelli sheets were served warm, game changer. Soo good, refreshing on a hot day but filling from the warmth.
Pho is great anytime, especially when you need a warm soupy meal. They have 8 different options for noodles. I ordered the large bowl and the portion size of the beef was generous. The pho came out really quick and staff were attentive. The prices are reasonable.

Was craving for some pho one afternoon while running errands. This popped up. Small parking lot or street parking. Can be easily missed. I was seated and looked through their extensive menu. Went with the egg rolls and combination pho with the meat on the side. Combination pho came out piping hot. Broth check before adding herbs, veggies and sauces. Had a slight sweetness to the broth, but easily adjustable. The medium bowl alone was filling. It came with a lot of noodles and protein. Meat on the side is a must for that additional medium-rare chew. The egg rolls came out a little later. It came out on a huge plate with herbs, lettuce wraps and pickled carrots/daikon. This was meant to be shared, but I somehow managed to eat it all. Nice fry to them with the textured egg roll skin. There was a bit of a chew to it, but it all came together with the filling. All in all, decent place. Service was nice. They even gave out a small bowl of hot tapioca for dessert.
[ Food ] I ordered their Bun Bo Hue and Green Thai Tea, both were not really what I'm usually used to. The BBH was on the sweet side instead of spicy. The Green Thai Tea had a fruity taste, when I'm usually used to a floral/creamy taste. I would try their Pho next time to see if that's better. [ Service ] Customer service was nice. [ Parking ] There's street parking or a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant.
Extensive menu. A lot of times when a restaurant has a bigger menu, not every item is going to be a 10. I do like that thy have the options because I feel like everyone can find what they like. From what I've tried, I'd return and try some other items next time. We had the banh uot with bbq pork & egg roll The bbq beef banh mi & the bun Bo hue. First, the bbq meats were delicious. Great marinade, tender meat. Cooked perfectly. I love thin rice rolls. Good fish sauce. Bun Bo hue looked promising! Unfortunately that was the one that fell kinda short for me. I loved the housemate meatballs and the blood cubes, the pork hock but the broth didn't hit. Very shrimp paste forward in smell. Broth lacked depth. Service was great, very friendly, dessert on the house was a nice touch, I'd like to try the pho next time.
This is our FAVORITE pho spot in 626! Service is always quick and friendly. Food is always 10/10, so so good! The restaurant is spacious and clean. We've been coming here for years and will continue to come here as it is our favorite spot!
I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised about this place. I was craving some pho so I decided to check this place out. It's in the "Ge Plaza". The interior is okay. There's nothing too fancy about the place but it was a full house when I went. The bathroom is pretty clean and there's an RGB mirror. I have no idea why but there's one. I ordered a Large Combo Pho and 1 egg roll. They do allow you to just order 1 egg roll if you don't want to devour an entry tray. The Pho was actually really good. I did have a first world problem, there's not enough noodle for my meat. Yes, there was more meat than noodles and I like that problem. The only thing I can complain about is the bean sprouts, they didn't give much and it was all small pieces like they were broken. The soup for the pho was top notch. Tried it without adding anything and it tasted better than it smelled. It was flavorful and I don't have to drown it in Hoisin sauce. They also have free dessert which is great! Service is not bad, they actually come and check on you, even though everything is on the table. The parking for this place can get tight, there's not many spots and it can be hard to maneuver in if you have a big car. Overall, 5 out of 5! One of the best tasting pho I've had in a really long time.
It's my second time here - just been a while since my last visit. It was so long ago that I don't remember much about my experience so this time, here's my thoughts before I forget ... Like the parking, if you get here early enough. There's a parking lot adjacent to the building, as well as street parking or there's a large shopping center across the street. It's all free though I don't know what the restrictions are on the street. I know I didn't se any meters though. I didn't look for signs as I parked in the adjacent lot. Service was great. Not that much follow up was needed. Order. Served. Dessert. Bill. No refills were needed, but I'm sure with the way the staff is all over the floor, it would have just been an easy ask. Though busy, the staff was pleasant. The team all tagged team, including one who I believe may have been the manager - I noticed she was constantly scanning the dining area and directing staff. Then there was the food. See pics. You can't tell by the size, but it was filling. For me that is and if you know me, you know and I eat. I liked the broth - not too sweet nor too rich. The meat was a little on the chewy side but a generous portion. Noodles were standard. If I had to change anything, I would have liked more onions. Next time though, I just have to ask when ordering. It's an open dining area and got pretty to the point there were no empty tables. However, the tabled turned over pretty quickly allowing for more people to come in, in large groups too. There were two parties over eight people. I don't believe they take reservations but call ahead and ask. I could be wrong. So, this is quite a ways from both home and work for me. Not sure I'd make the trek just to eat here - but meeting a friend and catching up over a tasty hot bowl of Pho - I would any day, every day. BTW, cash and card are accepted. And I'm pretty sure I saw someone use either ApplePay or whatever system Android uses.
What We Ordered: -The Eden Special $22.00 -Thit Nuong Cuon $8.00 This was our second choice; we initially wanted to go to Golden Deli, but it was too crowded on this rainy day. We had planned to go after the lunch rush, around 2 pm, but it seemed everyone else had the same idea. I had actually been recommended Saigon Flavor by a friend, but I mistakenly thought it was Saigon Eden. We were already on our way when I realized the mix-up, so we decided to give it a try anyway. Turns out, Saigon Flavor was closed that day too. The service was excellent from the start. We were greeted immediately, seated, and accommodated when we asked to move to a booth. We were unsure about the Pho options, but the staff provided helpful recommendations. We also asked about the spring rolls and ended up ordering the charbroiled pork ones. The Thit Nuong Cuon was okay, but we felt they were stingy with the rice noodles. The meat portion was good for the price, but the spring rolls were large. We probably wouldn't order this dish again. There were a few mix-ups with our order. They initially tried to give us two bowls of Pho when we only ordered one, and they gave me the wrong Pho, the rib eye instead of the Eden Special. However, the server was very friendly and quickly corrected the mistake. The Eden Special with Ribs is pricey at $22 for a large. The Pho itself wasn't very flavorful, and the biggest issue was the ribs. The meat was tough and difficult to remove from the bone, which made eating it messy. While the food quality is closer to a 3-3.5, the excellent service warrants a 4-star rating. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert they gave us at the end of the meal. Overall, we wouldn't rush to come back, but if we were craving Pho, we wouldn't mind revisiting.
I really miss the pho in the SGV--nothing beats the depth and flavor of their broth. While in Pasadena, I decided to stop by this pho spot. The place was packed on a Wednesday evening, but since I was dining solo, I was quickly seated at a small table. Service was fast, and my large bowl of pho and egg rolls arrived in no time. Parking can be tricky in the area, but I was lucky enough to find street parking close to the restaurant.
We came here for lunch with the family since I was craving Vietnamese food. We got seated right away and received our menus. The four of us ordered the #8 Charboiled Pork Spring Roll ($8), #17 Large Combination Pho ($14), #46 Large Bun Bo Hue ($16), and #62 Banh Canh ($17). All of the food came out pretty quickly, but funny enough the appetizer came out last. The charboiled pork was more of a shredded pork than the nem nuong I was expecting, but it was a pretty big roll. Both the pho and bun bo hue were tasty, but could use a bit more meat in the bowl. I didn't care for the Banh canh as much as it was a clear broth, but my parents did enjoy this one for how clean it tasted. Great Vietnamese spot in the area with lots of options from soups to rice plates. At the end of the meal, you also get a small complimentary tapioca mung bean dessert to finish your meal. read more
Stop by Saigon Eden restaurant at friend's recommendation. It's at San Gabriel California. Glad it does have private parking lot. The decor is eatery, modern, and cafe style. Service is very friendly and we even get to order what's not on the menu. Banh Xeo is a Vietnamese street food crispy pancake made with rice flour, water, and turmeric. Inside the crepe you will find pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, and mung beans. The dish is served with Vietnamese greens / salad and sweet and sour dipping sauce. It's unique and I like it. Also pho xe lua - it's better than average and crispy noodles is also better than average. Overall the dishes are authentic and the size is generous when you order large! Good for company! read more

I'm disappointed, just when i made a little money to come support this place again, it raised the price again. The medium size for pho look more like a small. Inflation or not, the owner couldn't find way to keep the cost down? Well, I won't be coming here, not because of the foods. I don't feel like the owner care enough to want me to come back by not finding way to keep the cost down. I don't find the value in the medium size pho for 14 dollars. No complain about the service. Saigon Eden has become a spot I visit every so often, especially when I'm craving a comforting bowl of pho. Their dac biet pho is my usual go-to--the broth is flavorful, and the large size is genuinely filling, packed with a good variety of meats. I've also tried the banh xeo here. While the flavors were decent, the dish was heavy on the bean sprouts, which made some parts of it feel a bit undercooked and doughy. It's not bad, but I've had better elsewhere. What I really like about this place is the spacious seating, making it easy to enjoy a meal solo when I want a quiet moment. Occasionally, they'll surprise you with a free che dessert, which is a nice touch, though it seems random when they do it. Luckily, you can also purchase the dessert separately if you're in the mood for something sweet. All in all, Saigon Eden is a solid choice for pho and a relaxed dining experience. Came again today with friends and still thought this place was very solid in their quality! I got the Pho Tai Nam Sach without onions. There was a lot of meat and noodles were al dente. Hit my pho craving, and I would come back for affordability and quality! read more
I've been coming here since they opened and this is my first time back in a while and let me tell you it's as good as I remembered... if not even better! We got the pho băc (chopped filet mignon and ginger), the pho xe lùa(special combo), and the egg rolls. Everything was super delicious! The egg rolls hit the spot and might be one of the best I've ever had. Love that they also give a complimentary dessert. I'll keep on coming back! read more

I ordered the Eden Special and my friend ordered the Pho Xe Lua. Broth was clear, flavorful without having to add anything else to it. Both good signs of a great pho broth. The rib meat was tender and delicious. The coffee was strong and sweetened just right. The server and owner were super nice since my friend goes fairly often. They still remembered him even though it had been a while. The inside of the restaurant is what you'd expect for a Vietnamese spot. read more

Saigon Eden is one of my favorite pho places. They renovated the interior and it is much more clean and modern looking. There's plenty of tables inside, but it can get quite busy especially on the colder days. We came with a large party and ordered a variety of dishes. The pho is always a hit: their broth is so flavorful and they give an abundant amount of beef and noodles. The bun bo hue is also super rich and filled with pork blood cake and feet. It also comes with its own plate of veggies to be added in. The bun Rieu is also super flavorful and pungent. It is filled with tomato and crab/shrimp goodness. I tried their $5 egg marrow soup and it comes in a small ramekin. The broth was very concentrated and so fatty from the meat. The egg rolls are also always a hit. They come in a pack of 5 and they are huge! So really, it's pretty much 10 servings. The exterior was so crispy, even though it was sitting for a bit and the inside was filled with meat and mushrooms. I ate it with the Shiso leaves and it elevated the bite even more. However, I was looking forward to the complimentary dessert, but they ran out, even though I asked for it before the table next to us who received it. The $15.44 (after tax) Large House Special Beef Pho hit the spot even on a hot summer day! Entered Sunday afternoon, after lunch rush so no wait. The pho was hot and ready fast. The meat cuts inside the beef pho were tender and had a nice texture. Certain cuts of the beef were pinkish so they were authentic and didn't pre cook it -- they let the steamy broth do its job. More importantly, they had generous bites of tendon and brisket (some of my fav cuts) for the house special. The tripe inside also tasted fresh and crunchy so I will go for the option with more of it next time. This is the second time I had Saigon Eden (first was at their Alhambra location). While this location doesn't have as nice of a plant decor/entrance, I think the SG one might win cuz it has the same menu and delicious taste while offering complimentary mung bean sago dessert! read more

It has been pretty rainy so my friends and I were craving some warming pho. This is one of the few places that close after 8 in the area which is why we ended up here. And let me tell you I'm so glad we did - the broth was SO flavorful, the meat was tender, and I loved the noodles. I'm glad they have 2 sizes too because the medium was just perfect for me. Super solid Vietnamese food. - Shrimp cake, baked egg, bean curd with red rice is delicious. Customized, so it's not cheap, but so worth it. - all the Pho dishes have a classic tasting broth. Can't really go wrong there. - the Bun Rieu is rich and delicious. Highly recommended! They recently renovated the interior (within the last year or so), so it's more spacious and comfortable inside. Parking is easy. Service is always decent and fast. One of our go-to local spots. read more
i've had better pho spots. came here on new year's day around 11am hungover af and it was decently filled inside. we were able to grab a table right away and we had a waitress that was either very soft spoken or forgetful. she also barely checked on our table and had to continuously flag people down to refill our water or ask for anything else. i've had better pho ga and pho dac biet from other restaurants. place is pretty mid. on a funny note, they had these people ask for donations from a church and they busted out a guitar and microphone and started singing apt while i was heavily hungover and going through it. i really felt like i was in a simulation and was definitely overstimulated read more
Forgot how good this place is! I have no idea why I stopped coming here! Good service good phõod & easy parking? Yes yes yes! Broth is a bit msg herbally but definitely not complaining! The bowls stay hot for a very long time. It's feels almost low key but it's still a common spot for the locals to come to. They have decent condiments & the portions are average. Service is pretty decent here! They have resting faces so don't take it as if they are upset, just really relaxed. Parking lot it good and bathroom seems clean. Noodles soup were so tasty n delicious!! And seafoods like crab meat claw n shrimp were good enough!!! I believe their beef products pho should be good too!!! There are lots of tables inside and we were sitted fairly quickly. The food are great I had special pho it tasted very good, you can order medium or large. The medium portion is pretty good. But you can always goes for a large size. The food came out quickly after the order. It's location are very convenient, just the opposite side of market 168. I would definitely come back for more pho. The price is very good for portion given. read more
I have been coming here for years and they recently remodeled. Now the place is bright and inviting light blueish white tiles and walls. It's definitely different than the old look. The food has not changed and is so delicious and not too salty. I was quite thirsty so I started with a lime soda which was so refreshing. My buddy had the pho and I had the bun bo hue. It was so good, litely salty, sweet and very porky which has that note that hits the spot. After the tiring night I had, this made my morning bare-able. I was so stuffed after. Tried this spot for pho last night and really enjoyed it. The interior is cute with a lot of plants and seating. Our group ordered Kobe beef pho and we were pleasantly pleased by the flavor of the meat and broth. I have no idea if it was real Kobe beef - but it was tasty and tender with a balanced amount of fat. Overall, the was flavorful and Viet mother in law approved! Tried their Alhambra location and it was good. Sadly it's not the same for this San Gabriel location. It wasn't too busy when we arrived so got seated right away. Ordered the broken rice with charbroiled pork with shrimp bean curd & shredded pork and pho rare steak, but the dish came out with no shredded pork. The pho broth was way too salty and the rice noodles had a nasty taste and weird texture to it. The rice, pork, shrimp bean curd, and soup were all kinds cold and not flavorful. Everything tasted bland and not good. The foods were very disappointing. Service was okay. Definitely not worth coming back here. read more

I love to come here for their pho. Their chili satay sauce they have on the table is perfect in your soup if you like spicy! I normally can't eat a big bowl of pho but I can finish the bowl here. There's never a wait when I come and there is always plenty of parking. Service is friendly & food comes out fast. Overall a solid place if you're craving some noodle soup. read more

First time back here since they renovated. The place is bright and clean and modern. The staff is a young group of guys and girls all super courteous. We felt the beef is better than before, the noodle has a better bite and broth is tastier. But they said it is the same owner and samechef. The menu is elevated for sure, they now have wagyu beef pho and the ever trendy beef rib pho as well for $20-22. The regular pho is $14. Somehow I felt everything is slightly better than before. Maybe they are the same but it felt everything is improved. Whatever it is, it's definitely a good place worth going back. One thing not to my liking (and its personal preference likely) is the curry chicken. It's a bit more watery, great to dip the bread but by itself is a bit too runny for me. And the chicken is a bit rough. read more

Stopped by on our way home to get some Pho. The employees are super nice and friendly. I ordered the Pho with brisket and it was delicious. The place was nice and clean and pretty quiet. I forgot to take a picture of my bowl but I did get a picture of the spring rolls. read more
