I was in a hurry today. So I decided to get a banh mi sandwich from here. I had my first bite in my car as I was told it should be eaten fresh and noticed that bread is extremely difficult to bite through. First I thought they toasted the bread but as I tried to eat more of this stone hard bread, I realized this bread is not fresh bread. They must used old bread. This is a big disappointment and I couldn't eat the rest of this sandwich at all.
Clean restaurant. Staff was very efficient and friendly. I came for the $10 pho lunch special and it was great! It came with a good amount of protein and noodles. The broth was very flavorful and delicious.
I've heard great things about Saigon Eden and finally go to try it last night when I meet up with a friend for dinner to catch up. Need to come back to try more dishes! They also passed out complimentary warm dessert to all their guest dinning in. Who can say no to a warm bowl of mung bean sago that's not too sweet. 124. Com Bi Cha Thit Nuong (Rice dish with Charbroiled Beef or Pork, Baked Egg and Shredded Pork) - we opted for Charbroiled Pork, tender and flavorful. Rice was well seasoned with everything on top and was good texture. 121. Banh Hoi Thit Nuong Chao Tom Cha Gio (Vermicelli sheets with Charbroiled Pork, Imperial Roll, Shrimp Paste)- loved that the vermicelli sheets were served warm, game changer. Soo good, refreshing on a hot day but filling from the warmth.
Pho is great anytime, especially when you need a warm soupy meal. They have 8 different options for noodles. I ordered the large bowl and the portion size of the beef was generous. The pho came out really quick and staff were attentive. The prices are reasonable.

Was craving for some pho one afternoon while running errands. This popped up. Small parking lot or street parking. Can be easily missed. I was seated and looked through their extensive menu. Went with the egg rolls and combination pho with the meat on the side. Combination pho came out piping hot. Broth check before adding herbs, veggies and sauces. Had a slight sweetness to the broth, but easily adjustable. The medium bowl alone was filling. It came with a lot of noodles and protein. Meat on the side is a must for that additional medium-rare chew. The egg rolls came out a little later. It came out on a huge plate with herbs, lettuce wraps and pickled carrots/daikon. This was meant to be shared, but I somehow managed to eat it all. Nice fry to them with the textured egg roll skin. There was a bit of a chew to it, but it all came together with the filling. All in all, decent place. Service was nice. They even gave out a small bowl of hot tapioca for dessert.
[ Food ] I ordered their Bun Bo Hue and Green Thai Tea, both were not really what I'm usually used to. The BBH was on the sweet side instead of spicy. The Green Thai Tea had a fruity taste, when I'm usually used to a floral/creamy taste. I would try their Pho next time to see if that's better. [ Service ] Customer service was nice. [ Parking ] There's street parking or a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant.
Extensive menu. A lot of times when a restaurant has a bigger menu, not every item is going to be a 10. I do like that thy have the options because I feel like everyone can find what they like. From what I've tried, I'd return and try some other items next time. We had the banh uot with bbq pork & egg roll The bbq beef banh mi & the bun Bo hue. First, the bbq meats were delicious. Great marinade, tender meat. Cooked perfectly. I love thin rice rolls. Good fish sauce. Bun Bo hue looked promising! Unfortunately that was the one that fell kinda short for me. I loved the housemate meatballs and the blood cubes, the pork hock but the broth didn't hit. Very shrimp paste forward in smell. Broth lacked depth. Service was great, very friendly, dessert on the house was a nice touch, I'd like to try the pho next time.
This is our FAVORITE pho spot in 626! Service is always quick and friendly. Food is always 10/10, so so good! The restaurant is spacious and clean. We've been coming here for years and will continue to come here as it is our favorite spot!
I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised about this place. I was craving some pho so I decided to check this place out. It's in the "Ge Plaza". The interior is okay. There's nothing too fancy about the place but it was a full house when I went. The bathroom is pretty clean and there's an RGB mirror. I have no idea why but there's one. I ordered a Large Combo Pho and 1 egg roll. They do allow you to just order 1 egg roll if you don't want to devour an entry tray. The Pho was actually really good. I did have a first world problem, there's not enough noodle for my meat. Yes, there was more meat than noodles and I like that problem. The only thing I can complain about is the bean sprouts, they didn't give much and it was all small pieces like they were broken. The soup for the pho was top notch. Tried it without adding anything and it tasted better than it smelled. It was flavorful and I don't have to drown it in Hoisin sauce. They also have free dessert which is great! Service is not bad, they actually come and check on you, even though everything is on the table. The parking for this place can get tight, there's not many spots and it can be hard to maneuver in if you have a big car. Overall, 5 out of 5! One of the best tasting pho I've had in a really long time.
It's my second time here - just been a while since my last visit. It was so long ago that I don't remember much about my experience so this time, here's my thoughts before I forget ... Like the parking, if you get here early enough. There's a parking lot adjacent to the building, as well as street parking or there's a large shopping center across the street. It's all free though I don't know what the restrictions are on the street. I know I didn't se any meters though. I didn't look for signs as I parked in the adjacent lot. Service was great. Not that much follow up was needed. Order. Served. Dessert. Bill. No refills were needed, but I'm sure with the way the staff is all over the floor, it would have just been an easy ask. Though busy, the staff was pleasant. The team all tagged team, including one who I believe may have been the manager - I noticed she was constantly scanning the dining area and directing staff. Then there was the food. See pics. You can't tell by the size, but it was filling. For me that is and if you know me, you know and I eat. I liked the broth - not too sweet nor too rich. The meat was a little on the chewy side but a generous portion. Noodles were standard. If I had to change anything, I would have liked more onions. Next time though, I just have to ask when ordering. It's an open dining area and got pretty to the point there were no empty tables. However, the tabled turned over pretty quickly allowing for more people to come in, in large groups too. There were two parties over eight people. I don't believe they take reservations but call ahead and ask. I could be wrong. So, this is quite a ways from both home and work for me. Not sure I'd make the trek just to eat here - but meeting a friend and catching up over a tasty hot bowl of Pho - I would any day, every day. BTW, cash and card are accepted. And I'm pretty sure I saw someone use either ApplePay or whatever system Android uses.
What We Ordered: -The Eden Special $22.00 -Thit Nuong Cuon $8.00 This was our second choice; we initially wanted to go to Golden Deli, but it was too crowded on this rainy day. We had planned to go after the lunch rush, around 2 pm, but it seemed everyone else had the same idea. I had actually been recommended Saigon Flavor by a friend, but I mistakenly thought it was Saigon Eden. We were already on our way when I realized the mix-up, so we decided to give it a try anyway. Turns out, Saigon Flavor was closed that day too. The service was excellent from the start. We were greeted immediately, seated, and accommodated when we asked to move to a booth. We were unsure about the Pho options, but the staff provided helpful recommendations. We also asked about the spring rolls and ended up ordering the charbroiled pork ones. The Thit Nuong Cuon was okay, but we felt they were stingy with the rice noodles. The meat portion was good for the price, but the spring rolls were large. We probably wouldn't order this dish again. There were a few mix-ups with our order. They initially tried to give us two bowls of Pho when we only ordered one, and they gave me the wrong Pho, the rib eye instead of the Eden Special. However, the server was very friendly and quickly corrected the mistake. The Eden Special with Ribs is pricey at $22 for a large. The Pho itself wasn't very flavorful, and the biggest issue was the ribs. The meat was tough and difficult to remove from the bone, which made eating it messy. While the food quality is closer to a 3-3.5, the excellent service warrants a 4-star rating. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert they gave us at the end of the meal. Overall, we wouldn't rush to come back, but if we were craving Pho, we wouldn't mind revisiting.
I really miss the pho in the SGV--nothing beats the depth and flavor of their broth. While in Pasadena, I decided to stop by this pho spot. The place was packed on a Wednesday evening, but since I was dining solo, I was quickly seated at a small table. Service was fast, and my large bowl of pho and egg rolls arrived in no time. Parking can be tricky in the area, but I was lucky enough to find street parking close to the restaurant.

I meannnn this places beef rib pho is to die for!!! On a cold day my friend and I went to go eat there and we had ordered a couple of items that were so good! Eggs rolls and pho beef rib were my favorite. Service was fast and order came out so quickly. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food. read more
One of the better pho restaurants in the area with flavorful broth. They offer regular or large size pho and provide the option of fresh or regular noodles. There's also a variety of dishes on the menu so there's something for everyone. If you order egg rolls, they'll let you get an extra piece if you opt for no side vegetables. I like that option but their egg rolls tend to be very oily. There is a parking lot but I usually have to park on the street during busy times. read more
I really enjoyed the summer and egg rolls. The spring roll was not skinny lol the egg rolls were xrispy. The pho was good too but I feel like a bit too much of msg. But I sure did liked their egg & bone marrow. That was fatty and hearty. It was clean. read more

10/12/2021 Came in here once when we could order from restaurants but no dine-in allowed yet. Came back again when dine-in was permitted. The rolls were good but I dip the sauce way too much. The large bowl with rare beef and lots of tendon and tripe is what I like. I was definitely satisfied with such a big bowl. read more
I decided to go Saigon Eden for some pho and it definitely lived up to expectations. It seems they've renovated since my last visit, as the restaurant now has a modern vibe. I went for the Eden special, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was wonderfully rich and flavorful. Plus, they kindly offered a complimentary dessert. Decent no frills place for pho in this part of town. Very typical Vietnamese spot with fair number of options for everyone in their menu. Pho will hit the spot on a cold day. Changed it up a bit today and tried their sliced beef with lemon juice and peanuts. Very well flavored and makes for a good appetizer. The lemon juice doesn't overpower the beef but will be enough to get you hungry and you can smell the seasoning even before eating as they have a good amount of onions and cilantro on top. read more

The quality and portion of the food surpasses other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The egg rolls are *immaculate*, a combination of crunchy, chewy, and soft. The entrees were no less enjoyable. I usually get the Bun Tom Bo Nuong Cha Gio and the combination Pho. They are both VERY decently portioned, leaving almost an uneaten half for me to take home. This place has always been at the top of the my list when I'm in dire need of comfort food! Note: -1 star because the service is a bit lackster, but the quality of the food still keeps me coming back. read more
Wanted to try this place for awhile so we went here to test out their phõ! The aroma when you wakes in the store seemed promising. Lots of combinations of protein to chose with your bowl of phõ. When we got our phõ, the broth is not as fragrant as it supposed to be. Couple of the cuts is a bit chewy while the tendon is a bit soft, not crunchy as it supposed to be. Very fast service and provide tampioca and mung beans sweet dessert, that was very good. The inside of the restaurant is clean and neat. read more

The food is great, wait time is more than reasonable, the staff are very friendly. plenty of parking. The only problem I ever had was on our first visit and it was with the menu. The menus were old dirty looking and smelly. I guess they heard me talking to my girlfriend about this because they have nice clean new menus. Very peaceful restaurant it's on our rotation. read more
Post-pandemic Saigon Eden still going strong. The Yelp page says they now accept credit cards, but I could have sworn I was told they didn't the last time I went to pay, hence I paid in cash. The parking lot in the back is less hectic an hour before mealtime rush, but it's okay at 7pm on a weeknight. My go-to order is the #26 Pho Tai Nam Gan Sach ($9.95 Regular, $10.95 large) add meatball for a couple dollars. If it's not too late in the day, a Cafe Sua Da ($3.95) too. It still comes to you table with the drip filter above the condensed milk. However, there is no longer the free mung bean and sago dessert soup after your meal. (Sadness!) I've given the Cha Gio fried spring rolls a couple tries, but I don't order it anymore since it's just okay. I've tried #2 Bo Luc Lac ($15.95). We chose rice to go with the sauteed Filet Mignon cubes. Instead of sauteeing the meat with the veg, Saigon Eden serves the romaine, cucumber and tomatoes raw on the side. It was good, but I thought it was weird to offer it as a wrap and over rice at the same time. I can't remember which Banh Hoi I've had, but it came with ground shrimp paste, peanuts, and cilantro. We visited here on a rainy day and it was a great idea. There was a a lot of seating available so we got seated immediately. I ordered the Pho Tai Nam Gan Sach and the broth was so flavorful. I had a sore throat that day and the dish completely soothed it. After a wonderful meal, they gave us a complimentary, warm dessert. Great place! read more

The old Pho 79 franchise used to be the to-go restaurants in San Gabriel/Alhambra back in early 80's-00's, but Saigon Eden branched out from Pho 79 (Garfield Ave in Alhambra) 15+ years ago and eventually the Pho 79 location in Alhambra was taken over by Saigon Eden as the 2nd outlet in 2016. Private parking lot spaces were pretty tight, but at least they were available. Our party came at 11 AM on Sunday and was able to get a table immediately. Service was efficient and in fact our waiter waited patiently after leaving the check as our waiter watched my friend took wallet out and placed the bills. All of pho options are #16 to #32 with medium or large bowl options. Kobe beef, ribeye beef, and filet mignon are some of more expensive options, but #18 Pho Tai (rare beef) is probably the most affordable & commonly ordered option. *** #18 Pho Tai (rare beef with rice noodle soup - $9.95 medium): Nothing fancy, but savory broth and good noodle. #10 Cha Gio aka Fried Spring Rolls (fragrant meant, mushroom enclosed in a golden shell - served with lettuce - $9.95): This appetizer was really good - crispy on the outside, but crust wasn't super firm. Filling was also great and personally it was one of the best spring rolls I have ever had. *** Personally I like Saigon Eden better than Golden Deli due to (1) no wait (2) easy parking (3) amazing fried spring rolls and (4) savory pho broth & not overly salty. read more

This is usually my go to for pho. However, I ordered takeout yesterday and found not one but 2 things in my charboiled pork with rice: a blue piece of rubber band and a strand of hair. Not only is this unsanitary and unappetizing, I can't help but to think that they are just being careless in the kitchen. Who knows what else I'll find next time? I will think again before getting food here again. read more

Had to go back to the SGV to satisfy a pho craving this weekend. Saigon Eden is the go to place for a no frills, fast, consistent experience. Eggrolls are served crispy and hot for wrapping in lettuce and herbs for a refreshing appetizer. And their combination pho is generously portioned with brisket, tendon, tripe, and rare beef. They renovated the entire place for a modern look. I believe they have new owners or managers. The food tastes the same as last time. I can't tell if sizing changed though. Maybe I'm just picky but I miss the mom-pop shop / homey vibes from prior. Now it just feels like any typical modern pho spot which makes it feel less authentic. read more
They remodeled the place about 2 months ago. The atmosphere is great and feels a lot bigger. Service was impeccable and they added a few extra waiters. The menu hasn't changed much except they added some extra special high-end options like a beef bone Pho. Today the Pho broth was a little bit off, but hopefully it was just today. Looks like the medium size Pho is a little bit smaller too. Prices have gone up but not to the extent of some other similarly priced places in the area. Overall, Saigon Eden is still one of the best Vietnamese joints in the San Gabriel Valley. Oh, the coconut cream is something and I bring myself for my rice vermicelli dish...Happy 2024! read more

Wow Saigon Eden reopened and they are coming out fighting!! Took out all the clutter and now it's simple and clean design indoors. We do miss seeing the Christmas lights to help find the restaurant at night. Ordered the Beef rib Pho, Eden special, and egg rolls. Everything was delicious. Staff was attentive asked us for drinks when we sat down and gave us menu. We saw the specials and had to try them. Now it's our favorite Pho fall off bone rib meat is so good with the pho flavor...hope they keep these items on the menu forever. read more

Newly remodeled. Very clean and friendly service. This place was crowded on a weeknight. They have some new menu items but we didn't try them this time. We opted for the dry noodle dishes and they were delicious. Parking can be a challenge since the lot is small. But street parking is also available. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a while and decided to visit on a late Monday afternoon. I would say honestly this place was a solid 3.5/5. The pho broth was flavorful and comforting and i love that it was pipping hot when it was served to the table. Each order came with a generous serving of veggies and herbs to accompany the hot pho. We ordered the house special combination and a rare and well cooked beef bristles with tripe in medium size. Both had a nice serving of noodles and meat. We also ordered a half size of egg rolls to share, and we thought it was just ok. I do appreciate all the fresh veggies that came with our order. But at $10 for one full order, it was a little bit on the pricier side. Overall, we would come back again if we were in the area, but wouldn't drive out of the way for this pho spot. read more
Amazing food and service. We were seated right away when we came in and we were able to order promptly. I ordered the Pho Xe Lua Large with the pickled onions. The broth was very flavorful and all the meats were tender. There was a table sauce bar so it was convenient. They also had little plates for sauce which I love and some places don't provide. At the end of the meal, you get a free che dessert which is perfectly sweet and a nice top off to the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed Saigon Eden and will continue to be a regulat here! read more
Saigon Eden has 2 locations. One in Alhambra and here in San Gabriel. I don't know which location I like better, but I do know I love their PHO. The Rib-Eye pho is my go to here. I have tried the Kobe pho, but their version taste like rib-eye to me. I don't think it's certified Kobe-beef from Kobe, Japan; however, their version of Kobe meat is fresh and decent quality. All orders of pho come with a nice amount of meat; I like adding extra rare beef to my soup. The meat taste very fresh here, I almost feel bad for eating it, lol. Now, the beef broth here for my taste is perfect. Beefy with a little lingering grease, flavorful, yet the pho "aromatics" of cinnamon, cardimom, star anise, etc. are subtle. The egg rolls (Ga Gio) here are a favorite of mine. It's the kind wrapped up in rice paper vs. spring roll skin. The filing inside is just the perfect ratio of pork, glass noodles, wood-ear mushrooms, carrots, and seasonings. It's oily, so ask for extra side veggies. :) Service here is welcoming and efficient. Once they bring your food to you, they leave you alone. Sometimes it's hard to flag someone down. What I like to do is request my bill in advance and pay. That way I can just leave when am done. read more
Yummy! We tried the small vermicelli dish with charbroiled pork, fried shrimp paste and egg roll. Comes with a side of veggies including mint, lettuce, chopped carrots and cucumber and mung bean sprouts. Overall the veggies makes the dish taste very light and refreshing but still very tasty as there's variety of proteins and textures from the noodles. I also like how their egg rolls are made with puff pastry! It is not very salty as it's meant to pair with the fish sauce. The fish sauce is pleasantly light and refreshing!
