Loveeee the ambiance here! Came here for a birthday dinner and the food and service were amazing! Our server was so cool and friendly! The steak and the fish and chips really stood out to me. The French onion soup is also really good! They have a really nice bar with so many cocktail selections. Can't wait to come back!
First and foremost, our server was Ce and she was amazing! Super attentive and very funny but helpful. Recommendations were great and it was pretty fast! The SMOKED TRI TIP HASH blew my mind. A base of fingerling potatoes that everyone loved. Stacked with bacon and tri tip. Topped off with bits of broccolini, eggs and a chipotle sauce. It was deeeeelish! The cocktail VIOLETS REVENGE was not too sweet and very good! The ESPRESSO MARTINI was also perfect! Loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall very nice place to go. Located in the old Lucille's building or for those who remember further back, the old Hofs Hut building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has a high end modern decor with a rustic vibe for elevated dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located on second street in Long Beach in the middle of a lot of great restaurants, Saint Second stands out as one of the best. For an appetizer I got yellowtail watermelon aguachile and the roasted bone marrow. The bone marrow was so good I will be bringing my Brother to try it. For entrees ordered rack of lamb and Asian chopped salad with salmon. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and so was the salmon. Seriously no complaints the restaurant was great the staff were friendly and our server Mark was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and friendly and great food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh and for dessert I got coconut panna cotta which was delicious.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice environment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], food was average for the price and way to much butter and spice to try and seem fancy. On a scale 1-10 food is a 6. Fries came out stale. Fish was good. Steak had to much butter and some kind of marinate. Bronco was super spicy. Not sure if I'd return. Employees were nice but a little snooty.

Our waiter was very accommodating and it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy our meal and chat without feeling rushed to leave. They checked on us often to make sure we had enough drinks. i was very impressed with the pork belly lettuce wraps they were so delicious.
We went on a vintage thrift hunt in LB on 4th. The row was awesome and very colorful and eclectic. Getting hungry we drove to Belmont Shores 2nd street. Nick's was across the street, a favorite, but wanted to try something new. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Saint on 2nd was a clean upscale place with a cool bar layout and a great upstairs terrace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food turned out to be excellent. The crispy chicken was so crunchy and succulent. The Korean twist was on fire! I loved it. The steak au poivre was on point. Delicious! The wedge salad was chopped for us and it was delicious and one of the best I've had in a long time. Refreshing, creamy, tangy and the bacon was finely chopped and spread on top. The wine selection was also very nice. My gf had a Rose to start which was very tasty. The Pino noir from Solace was delicious. The staff were courteous and informative. Overall a nice place to check out.
This food was amazing and worth every penny. We sat upstairs and the bartenders were great. We ordered three cocktails, a beer, the Parker house rolls, hummus, risotto, lamb, and basque cheesecake. Everything tasted perfect. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We liked that they had heaters upstairs and a tv to watch the Dodger game.
Came here yesterday for the first time. I was with my daughter and decided to try this place for lunch. It is a great looking restaurant with a nice second floor . You can sit up there and get a nice breeze and people watch at the same time. The service is also great , the staff is very attentive. My daughter ordered the traditional breakfast and I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. My daughter liked her breakfast ,she especially liked how creamy and soft the eggs were. Her dish came with bacon, a couple of slices of sourdough and some fingerlings baby potatoes. I think that is my biggest complaint. The potatoes are just seasoned with Parmesan cheese and that is all . They aren't sliced, they are seasoned they are just too plain. So much you can do with those potatoes and yet so plain.
Worth a visit! Reservations recommended for their dinner area on 1st floor. We did place our name on the list however made our way to 2nd floor which was self seating, first come, first serve. I ended up liking the vibe and atmosphere here more, considering the lounge seating, outdoor setting overlooking 2nd street, and music that was played louder but still reasonable here compared to 1st floor. We had the braised short rib appetizer, cranberry chicken, and seared salmon. Such beautiful, elevated dishes, flavorful with each bite. I normally am not impressed with dessert at restaurants but to my shock, the smores dessert was everything and more! Decadent, rich, not too sweet, the perfect balance. Drinks, perfection. Please note this isn't a trashy place. The drinks are elevated, with details and what I hope to be housemade syrups and flavors. Annalise was attentive to us, despite how busy it gets upstairs. She was sweet, personable, welcoming! An absolute joy. As was Juan, who was prompt with checking in on us and making sure our table was cleaned as we did have to switch tables when we got booted out of ours. He nudged us in the direction of dessert and glad we did too. Will def be returning.
Came here on a Saturday for brunch and honestly had one of the best experiences ever. Our server C took care of us and honestly provided the best experience ever: The vibe is cool and the bar is epic. But the food was amazing. Started with the French onion soup, the spicy tuna crispy rice and the mac and cheese. All 5/5! The tuna was fresh, the soup savory and the the mac and cheese gooey and full of flavor. The wedge salad with the steak was beyond delicious. And the chorizo tacos were to die for!
Wait Time: Arrived around 10 AM and had no problem grabbing a seat upstairs on the outdoor patio. Vibe: Lovely patio with that gentle brunch feel. Enough energy to feel fun, but calm enough to enjoy your coffee. Food: I ordered the Avocado Toast with soft-scrambled eggs, arugula, marinated tomatoes, parmesan, and pickled onions on grilled sourdough. The eggs were creamy and clearly well executed. The tomatoes and pickled onions added a bright tang that balanced the richness of the avocado, and the light salad on top kept it from feeling heavy. Service: Smooth and relaxed. Parking: Metered along Second Street. Easy at 10 AM, probably more difficult later in the day

This spot continues to be a favorite for both date night and for going out as a family with our toddler. She does very well at this place and I think it's because the kids menu is actually really good (the cheese toast is HUGE) and the tables are nice and low and she can see all around. We haven't gone with both our toddler and baby yet. As a date night spot, it's still a favorite with good food and tasty seasonal cocktails. We prefer the downstairs dining area over the upstairs open air. Parking is a little hard but that's no fault of the restaurant. Food is always fantastic and the service is friendly and attentive. This place is a bit pricey, but it's nice and I bet the rooftop is better during the night. Service was pretty good, Constantine was excellent by taking care of us today with everything he did and he's really nice. They have a large range of drinks and food to choose from, I personally had the Grilled Proveleta. I never had one before but it was pretty good the grilled mushroom almost was mistaken for meat while I was eating it. The texture kinda threw me off but I liked it. I didn't get a drink this time around because I'm a little ill but my party really enjoyed the drinks Constantine made and one claimed theirs to be perfect. It's 2nd street so parking is a bit rough, we parked in a neighborhood and walked over. read more

The space is very casual and fresh. Their menu isn't big, for food. They have an extensive selection of whiskey and wine. Our waiter was nice and attentive. We ordered crab cakes and a Mai tai. The crab cakes weren't the best. The drinks weren't nothing special. Not sure if we would be going back. read more

Service: great. Got seated right away on a Thur night for dinner. Food: their food was the star! Crab cakes were good. Steak and fries were delicious. So was the fish. Too bad their selection of dessert was small and did not have any that interested our party. read more
New Year's Eve Dinner. We made reservations based on what sounded like a great menu.of offerings. Unlike Thanksgiving, where they offer a special menu along with their regular, only the Special NYE menu was offered, which was fine as why we came dinner. Service as always was excellent. Our server, C, was very friendly (and funny). We brought a bottle of our own wine (very soecial bottle) and requested to.have it decanted (older vintage with sediment). Their corkage fee is very reasonable, $25. C took very good care of us, checked in often, refilled our wine glasses and waters. The food, a bit disappointing in comparison to our many other visits. Possibly new menu items and execution was not quite there. We started with the Parker House Rolls. I sure hope they consider keeping these on their regular menu! Rolls stuffed with garlic and Truffle butter, so good! Next we ordered the Gem Ceasar Salad, very good as it usually is (a staple and on their regular menu). I ordered the Beef Wellington. I was so excited to try this! It's usually quite a bit of work to prepare and an item I rarely make at home! A bit of a surprise when it was served. I would call it more of a deconstructed Beef Wellington. There were mushrooms (and a nice variety) on the side and the Beef sat on top of Purple Mashed Potatoes with a piece of pastry placed over the top (not a completely wrapped roll with the meat and mushrooms with thecsauce on top). The filet was done perfectly, rare, and tasty. The pastry wasn't completely baked and with the mashed potatoes under the beef and Bordelaise sauce under the potato layer that just gave an overall soggy feel to the entree. Soggy bottom and top! Moving on to the Tomahawk. My husband and son ordered the Tomahawk for two. The sides, including the fingerling potatoes, were all done al dente, which were great. The meat was sliced thick, with lots of fat, flavor was just okay. We have ordered Tomahawks before and definitely this one was no where near as good as the other ones we have had recently. It should have been sliced thin but guessing with all the fat, maybe they weren't able to? Not a great cut. We took Basque Cheesecake to go for dessert. We enjoyed it later. It was good just not amazing. Overall, we will be returning as we love Saint and Second just not for NYE. We spent well over $400 and left disappointed! I recommend this restaurant often, especially for out of towners! I will continue to recommend. read more
This was our first visit to Saint & Second. Had seen it on social media many times and thought of it for my daughter's bday dinner. I made reservations online that same day, for Monday evening. Simple! No issues! We were given the option to sit wherever we wanted. I wish I had gone upstairs to take a look but we sat downstairs near the bar area. Next time! I saw sofa seating and heaters. The restaurant is stunning, and hostess and server were great! Our server, I think she said her name is Cee was amazing, friendly and made our first experience, exceptional. She went over the menu with us. She answered all her questions and was informative. She had amazing energy. She gave us a little history about the restaurant and the kitchen and the fresh ingredients. She deserves the five stars, tbh. We all got something different, but we started off with the calamari, which I was told is the freshest calamari you'll have. It was delicious, very meaty. We all enjoyed our entrées. Portions were great, as we all took a box home. Cee even brought out a s'mores bar for my daughter for her birthday. It was the small touches from the server that just made the experience even better. She really hyped up the experience for us. She's a joy! I would like to come back and try their breakfast or a bunch menu. But I also need to try their 100 ingredient lasagna, because why NOT??? read more

This little corner restaurant with upstairs dining as well offers seasonal dishes from local ingredients, sourced from artisanal people. " and believe me you can taste every ingredient." One of my favorites was the ricotta meatballs. I loved the tomatoes with the grilled bread. The corn cavatelli was not what we expected, but it was bursting with incredible flavor. You must get this if you can handle some gluten. The Stone fruit with Barada fresh watermelon mint with a champagne vinaigrette yummy And one of the star dishes was the superfood, crispy, quinoa, tomato, sunflower, seeds, chard, asparagus, avocado, fava beans this was a taste sensation. The service was very, very good . All street parking grab it if you can . They have a patio, which makes it dog friendly. It's a very fun, happening place. read more

The food here is amazing!!! If you're looking for a nice place to get lunch with a friend, try it out. There are huge windows and the upstairs is open so you can feel the breeze from outside, if that's what you prefer! We got the Mac & Shrooms to start and split the Pan Seared Salmon and they were nice enough to plate it separately for us. It's little things like this that go a long way for me, it shows how amazing their service is. Overall 10/10 and also unrelated, I love their bathrooms!! read more
Doing some walking prior to hitting the beach. Stopped into Saints for a quick brunch before the beach and enjoy the ambiance and the rooftop was not busy at all. Served and greeted immediately! Nice breeze to go along with great convos and food. Waitress extremely knowledgeable on the menu and shared her favs which was a plus. I ordered a French 75 and was extremely sweet.. after my first sip that's when I knew I messed up and I should have kept the Maribella champagne the crispy chicken sandwich with a Korean twist comes with either local greens or fries. I'm very familiar with chili crips as I fancy them on my loaded smoked Gouda grilled cheese/turkey sandwich... this for me was a miss. It tasted minty and I did my best to eat it. The bread ended up getting soggy and unfortunately I could not eat. I will give them a second chance, my stars are for the waitress. read more

Cool vibes Luvd the atmosphere. Can get pretty crowded on the weekend but bar is open seating. Luckily we found a spot right when we walked in. Service was wonderful, well taken care of during our visit. Food was good. Metered parking on the street. A nice area to find some good eats. read more

Saint & Second nailed it--pure indulgence. * Burger: glossy brioche, juicy patty with caramelized onions and melty cheese. * Truffle parmesan fries: crispy, cheesy, loaded with parmesan, chives, and truffle vibes. * Oysters: fresh on ice with perfect sauces and citrus. * Fried calamari: golden rings on vibrant orange sauce, topped with crispy bits, charred peppers, and parsley. Ambiance was very upscale and rustic. Came for some drinks and appetizers, loved the seating of up rooftop bar. I ordered the Matchi and for appetizers had the calamari and some fries. The matchi was matcha, vodka, pineapple, coconut martini, it tasted very fresh!! I couldn't get a taste of the matcha, the pineapple and coconut overpowered the taste 8/10. The calamari itself was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, it was paired with chorizo and a savory chipotle sauce. The presentation was eye appealing but the sauce ratio was too much for my liking 9/10. Overall I can't wait to try more of the entree items and dine in!! Also our servers out in the bar seating were very attentive and made our night so much fun. read more

I rarely crave American food, but we were feeling it this time. This is now our second time back. We had the Mac & shroom, French onion soup, raw oysters, and gochujang pork belly to share. Mac & shroom - sauce was a little thin, very creamy and garlicky which I liked. They definitely didn't skimp out on the mushrooms, there were various kinds mixed in. The panko bread crumbs also added a nice crunch French onion soup - maybe more topping than soup lol, lots of Gruyère cheese and bread/croutons in the soup. Very tasty, more loaded than most places! Raw oysters - came with a tasty vinegar sauce and cocktail sauce, also had hot sauce on the side. Oysters were very flavorful Gochujang pork belly - loved the sauce, also came with some chopped kimchi and radishes. Loved that it came with lettuce leaves to easily pick up and wrap them like lettuce wraps. Kinda wish the lettuce pieces were a little bigger for more refreshing crunch to contrast the savory pork belly Service was quick and friendly. Interior is cute with outdoor and upstairs bar seating. Seems like a good place to go for drinks after work. Would come back to try their burger another time. read more
My partner and I had a reservation for Saint & Second for the weekend and we were seated immediately during our outing. What I found out is that they have three separate menus, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Staff were super accommodating and had some good recommendations. Parking can be tricky as there's a small lot behind Saint & Second but we parked in a nearby lot (parking meter) and walked over to the restaurant. 1. We ordered three dishes and the first one that caught our eye was the Huevos Rancheros, which had beans, onions, corn, tortilla wrap, avocado, and eggs. The mix of ingredients definitely had me taken aback but after the first bite, I was amazed with how flavorful it was. It melts super well even without the tortilla wrap but highly eating it with the wrap. Only downside to the dish is that it can easily fall apart, but still super tasty. Highly recommend. 2. Next is the Maine Lobster Roll, a nice dish thats just lobster meat in a toasted rectangle bread. It also comes with a side of fries which is a nice complimentary to the lobster roll. A bit messy to eat but rich in flavor. The toast is well made which is underrated in how it affects the lobster roll. 3. Lastly, my favorite was the Mac & Shrooms. A dish I would highly recommend to get as a shareable, the bread crumbs on top of the dish makes munching on it 10000x better. Super savory, rich, and crisp. Overall, the food here is incredible, atmosphere was really nice and chill, busy restaurant but very well managed. Will definitely come back to try their other menus. read more
Love walking down here for drinks on their rooftop! Such a cute little vibe. Solid selection of cocktails and I've enjoyed every drink I've ordered here. We love to come in the evenings and ask to go up to their rooftop bar. There's usually a good amount of open seating available. Can't go wrong with their apps either, but I especially love their truffle fries. read more
Love the vibes here! And I love their fish and chips their homemade tar tar sauce was so good. I also loved their meatballs, oysters. I didn't really care for their Parker rolls and their bone marrow. The service was ok because food took a while to come out but it was because we came at a Friday evening and it was super busy. Our waiter really made this a five star experience. He was so friendly and very knowledgeable of the wine list. He helped my spouse. Find the perfect red wine for the evening. I started off with a dirty martini, which was delicious. We had a variety of entrées and appetizers to snack on. Everything was absolutely perfection. My husband and I visited Saint & Second for brunch on a Saturday. We had a reservation for 11:30 am, but it was pretty quiet when we arrived, so reservations aren't strictly necessary. We started with a mimosa and an Everything Orange cocktail, which was delicious! You can really taste the fresh, house-made juices and syrups. For food, we had: Blueberry Pancakes: Our 1.5-year-old loved them, and they were a hit with us too. Fluffy, light, and perfectly loaded with fresh blueberries. Even my husband, who isn't big on pancakes, was impressed! Smoked Tri-Tip Hash: This dish was decent but didn't wow us. The broccolini felt a bit out of place, and the chipotle hollandaise was too sweet for our taste. Shakshouka: I was excited for this but a little disappointed. It wasn't as authentic as I hoped. The pickled onions, arugula, and feta overpowered the dish, making it hard to enjoy fully. Overall, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was spot on. Special shoutout to our waitress (sorry, I forgot her name) for being so attentive and even bringing slices of watermelon to keep our toddler entertained while we waited, definitely a lifesaver! Birthday dinner for wife . This cafe deserves a 5 star due to consistency ...Food , Service & Ambiance S&2"has plentiful staff with glib& creative serving crew. Drinks are xlnt. Prosecco is served in beautiful Fine glass "coupes .The Whiskey special actually paired with the Smores" desert! Start: Hummus & Pita ..The Hummus was made with Squash and tasted better than ANY Garbanzo based Hummus: The Pita is cut into scoop wedges ( Tip: ask for extra Pita) Next : fried Chix sliders: careful these have a "kick ".. but Prosecco helps ease the Zing" Next : Fish & Chips : the portions are large enough to share-lots of Fries-"Frites" style. The dessert was an itty bitty S'mores Cake and brought back happy Camping memories. A very happy birthday Bottom line : Saint and Second is THE Spot for upscale dining in Belmont Shore. The was everything I expected, since my close friends love this place. Our server was very attentive and we never had to look for him, it was like he was reading our minds. The very was well prepared and well seasoned. We had quite a few appetisers crab cakes, meatballs and a charcuterie board. We ordered the flat steak and the asian salad with salmon. We were in search of a delicious brunch spot (specifically one that served Bloody Mary's) that could accommodate our group of 10. Saint & Second checked all of these boxes. This upscale eatery is known for its elevated brunch dishes and lively atmosphere. They're located on 2nd Street in Long Beach, walking distance to a number of coffee shops, bars, and local happenings. We were able to book a reservation for 10 in advance on a Sunday (score!) I ordered an iced Campfire Mocha and the Chilaquiles with the additional overeasy egg. The Campfire Mocha tasted like chocolate milk.. not that I'm anti-chocolate milk. It was early and I really needed caffeination, so this drink didn't really hit the spot for me. The Chilaquiles was top notch and easily a fan-favorite at the table. There's street parking available and paid lot parking. A must visit in Long Beach. read more

My friend and I stopped by Saint & Second on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, and it was a great choice. We sat outside on the top deck overlooking Second Street--perfect weather, a nice breeze, and great vibes all around. I ordered the S&S Signature Burger and a Yuzu Mule, and we shared the wedge salad. The burger was delicious--juicy, flavorful, and super fresh. The wedge salad was also really good--crisp and refreshing, with just the right balance of flavors. The Yuzu Mule was okay--not very strong, but still enjoyable and paired well with the meal. Overall, the food was the standout, the atmosphere was relaxing, and service was solid. I'll definitely be visiting again! read more

Saint & second has great vibes with a second floor outdoor bar area that is self seating. I recommend reservations if you want to sit inside as it gets busy. We came for brunch on a Sunday and there was a 2 hour wait for 7. Luckily, we were able to get a table upstairs that has the same menu. The brunch menu is solid and actually reasonably priced as their dinner can be on the pricier side. I ordered an Americano and others tried their michelada and Bloody Mary. My Americano tasted like the espresso was a little burnt but tasted better when I added some sugar. My friends liked their drinks! As for food, we shared the mezze plate that came with 3 different Mediterranean dips and naan bread. I ordered the eggs Benedict which was on a cheddar biscuit, it was huge! I only ate half. All the food portions were pretty big - we also tried the biscuits and gravy, chilaquiles, fried chicken sandwich, and fish sandwich. We left very full, the food is good and worth the price. read more
I forgot food can taste this good. I kid you not I did not believe them when they said they made everything from scratch. But once you try it you'll see how this place won't even remind you of other food places cuz their food tastes so fresh and savory. I had the rosemary chicken. Chicken cooked to perfection. The cranberry sauce on top was tasty and added a great contrast. The pork chop was so tasty. If you're a fan of meat and presentation get the pork chop. It comes in a smoke bowl they reveal in front of you! The only down side is this place is sooooo expensive. But you are paying for the quality and the ambiance is so classy. Perfect for any special occasion or if you need to treat someone to a tasty dinner. For what you saw in my images and a Moscow mule we paid around 120 dollars read more

It was my friend Jerome's belated HBD and he chose Saint and Second for a Sunday brunch celebration in Woodland Hills. It's amazing guys! AMMMMAZINNNN! The ambience, the service, the location, art, foodies. All of it is delicious, elegant, and top notch service. Parking is easy as well. Will absolutely return to try more vegan items on the menu or perhaps a lunch menu. I ordered the Asian chopped salad Mix, wish there was a tofu add option. Alotta is girls in the business are vegan and have to watch our figures. I mean it's nearly summer, swimsuit season as well. Heheh. My fiance ordered a bfast sandwich, he loved it. We came to celebrate our anniversary. It looked like a nice place that we haven't tried before. Parking on a busy and tight street in Long Beach isn't the best feeling but it was midday so it seemed safe. We got a spot upstairs that was outside but covered, good crowd keeping the staff busy so it was a nice atmosphere. The food was really good! Odd that some appetizers came in threes. Tasty and high quality. Wish that it filled me up though. Restrooms were elegant. Always the sign of a good place. read more
Went for lunch and ordered: Smoked tri tip hash & mac n shrooms. The service was wonderful and they thoughtful to split our one shared entree into two separate plates. Their cocktails are amazing, service was great but the brunch item my friend and I ordered was not what we expected. The server assured us that the tri tip has was probably the most popular dish. It sounded great on paper and was pretty good but the meat was like tri tip pieces! Not a 4-5 oz piece of meat on top. It was over some potatoes but figured it would be on top of some mash instead.
