I was in the area for business and looked for something close and decent, but this place was not good. The service was good, but the food and sushi was awful. I literally ate just enough to satisfy my hunger before returning to work. I ordered a lunch specials with chicken teriyaki and spicy tuna, plus on speciality crunch roll which was $12.95. The crab meat (all imitation) was smelly and the shrimp was not good either. I picked it off my food. Overall I will not return and was disappointed considering this place somehow had 4 stars on yelp. read more

I went here on a date. No reservations were made and we were able to be seated in less then a minute. The service was a little off. Multiple people kept asking us the same thing, "What would you like to drink," "Are you ready to order," which seems great but at the same time it's annoying because we already ordered. They have a vast variety of food, including the special rolls - our family favorites were the kamikaze, fire and TJ wasabi. Attentive staff, decent/good sushi. I live around the corner from this place and was craving sushi. I usually drive a little further out for my sushi, but I decided to give this place a try. I came alone and sat at the sushi bar. The sushi chef and regular staff were all extremely attentive, everything came at perfect timing. Ordered: Yellowtail sushi- amazing. Extremely fresh Sweet shrimp- sushi chef warned me it was frozen and asked if that was okay. I ordered it anyway. The flavor was great, but the texture was really weird. But fair enough, because he warned me it was frozen. The fried shrimp head was perfect. Albacore- decent Salmon skin hand roll- delicious Tea- waiter noticed when I finished and refilled it right away. Props to him because I hate waiting on my tea. Pro: The portions were freaking HUGE. Not sure if they're usually that generous with the portions, or if they felt bad for me because I was a tiny lonely girl sitting by myself at the sushi bar. Regardless, it was very nice of the sushi chef. Con: Only bad part about my experience was paying for the check. As soon as I finished my last bite, the waitress promptly asked if I was ready for the check. I said yes and waited for the bill to come out. And waited. And waited. And waited. I was sitting under a freezing A/C and I kept staring at the waitress, wondering when she would bring me my check. I think the other waiters were starting to wonder why I was sitting there so long. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and got up to ask the waitress if she was ready yet... then I realized they expect you to pay at the counter. Strange, since it's a sit-down restaurant. I feel like the waitress should have at least given me a heads up to tell me to pay at the counter-- if not immediately, at least after she saw me sitting awkwardly for 15 minutes. Especially after she was the one to ask me if I was ready for my check. I don't understand why they make you walk to the counter to pay. It made no sense to me. I actually saw this happen to a couple people. Not too big a deal, though. Just kind of weird and awkward. Besides that, my experience was good. Good service, decent sushi, good atmosphere. A solid spot that I'll return to whenever I want some sushi nearby. read more

This place is ON POINT. The Fire Crunch roll is one of my favorites. This place is usually empty when I go so the service has been super speedy and nice. But I typically just order take out. The rolls come just as amazing for take out as they do when i eat there. And for some reason, I feel like their wasabi is better than other places I've had. No complaints here. Mondays are the time to go! Their sushi special is great if you want a lot of sushi without a hit on your wallet! I go as often as I can and eat until it hurts, yet it still stays under $20. The owners are super nice, the chefs are fun, the place is an all around enjoyable time! I have been here twice and the food has been consistent. Its not the greatest sushi in the world, and the menu is pretty standard, but its solid food. Better than many other sushi joints. I went on Monday night and if you want nigri sushi it is a great deal (just clarify what fish is $1.00 as I ordered halibut and unagi and they were full price). For what this place is, they really do it well. For authentic Japanese style sushi go to Sushi Koyo in Diamond bar, but for american style sushi, done right.. SUSHI!!!! I came here about a week ago with a friend. It was my first time eating sushi in a while and I was definitely craving it. As expected, the prices were pretty normal, it is sushi after all. For the most part everything was pretty good. They have a huge variety of sushi rolls as well as teriyaki combos such as the bento combo. However, I only ordered rolls and basic sushi and Sweet Shrimp which is just about the best sushi I've ever had. If theres one thing your going to order, ORDER SWEET SHRIMP. Its basically like ur standard shrimp roll except afterwards they give you the shrimp head fried with some sauce. It might not seem appealing, BUT TRUST ME, it was gooooood. I wanted to like this place because it's so close to my house, but the service was awful and the food mediocre at best. There was one server for the lunch rush, and we waited a long while just to have our order taken. He screwed up our order, and we got a number of dishes we didn't request. That's simply inexcusable. The fish was par to subpar. We ordered chirashi, and while most of it was decent, some of the fish was definitely not fresh. I wasn't sure if it was edible it smelled so foul. I had some of their lunch special ramen. Now I understand that this place isn't a ramen house, but it takes special talent to screw up ramen this badly. I swear it was instant ramen noodles with the blandest miso broth I've ever tasted. And who puts cabbage and carrots in miso ramen? If it tasted good I wouldn't mind, but that's a mismatch. This could be a good place if they worked on their service and the freshness of their fish. I bet on some days the fish is fresh, but we must've gotten the leftovers from the day before or something. read more

This place is great. The staff is always so friendly and they always make us feel welcome. we have been here many times. The sushi is always fresh and they even make their own teriyaki sauce. Wow!.
