Sakura Grill is probably one of my favorite delivery places. I have never had a bad experience with them in our probably 20+ orders. I wouldn't necessarily call the food authentic, but WOW is it good. I'm not a sushi person, so I can only say that the 1-2 rolls I had from here were not revolting. In my opinion, the entrees are where it's at. I've had the chicken katsu and multiple hibachi orders - all of them are excellent. I generally prefer the chicken hibachi and ask for extra teriyaki sauce - they never have a problem with that and I'm grateful. The salads are always amazingly crisp and fresh, and the dressing is so good I could probably survive off that alone. Their delivery is pretty fast to me (I'm in West Springfield) and the food has never been cold. The packaging is also a really nice touch - all of their containers are very secure and well made, and it keeps foods with liquid or sauce (like the hibachi chicken) from mixing in with the other side dishes. I've even had them deliver a dessert and they put it in a bag on ice. They really think of everything. On the (very) rare occasion that they forgot an item, they brought it out to me, which was really appreciated. We ordered their sushi regular and spiderman rolls and both were ok. I hate it when a sushi restaurant includes same cut of the same sushi on the plate. Their sushi regular came with 9 pieces of sushi but only had four different cut of sushi. The spiderman rolls were good but it did not taste like soft shell crab at all. All you taste is the heavy mayo sauce and tempura batter. The food was three stars but I gave them an extra star for the effort in displaying the sushi and service. I have to say I am very saddened - they have upped their prices on all their sushi rolls by $1.5-2.00 per roll! Made a pickup order online and my order said it would be ready by 7pm. Got there at 6:50pm, and waited till 7. 7:20pm came along and my order was finally ready. First off, my food didn't look the same (and I get the same meal every time) but I said "Whatever it will probably taste the same". They have a good amount of fish and avocado, which I was pleased with considering some other places like to jip you on one or the other; or both. Same with the sashimi. The hibachi was delicious. The steak I got medium rare, and it was juicy(drenched in the sauce) and the scallops were really good too. Their yumyum sauce (the pink sauce that normally goes with hibachi) was on point. Always Delicious, Always Fresh! A small restaurant tucked away in a shopping plaza, this elegant and intimate spot is delightful to dine in. Sakura is a hidden gem in the NOVA area for sushi and Japanese cuisine. I have been coming here since they opened and this is my favorite sushi restaurant. The staff is always welcoming and the food is dependably excellent. The fish as prepared for their sushi is a slightly thicker cut than the other places in the area and they never seem to use too much rice which can overpower a bite. The hibachi dishes and the udon soup are solid picks and the gyoza dumplings are always perfect. The fried rice is light and fluffy and never too greasy or heavy.
