    What I could salvage
    Susette B.

I gave an extra Star because there was only one gal in the entire restaurant doing everything. I waited 5 mins to place my order and then another 10 mins for the worst Philly sandwich I have ever been served. Not much meat with very little cheese, onions or green pepper that I would expect in a Philly. Instead, to my surprise there was lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. WHAT???? I salvaged what I could and ate my $10 sandwich. Disappointed

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food came out fast and was extremely hot and fresh! Definitely coming back

Finally! Some late night food that isn't 100% fried or burgers. I feel like I've been waiting for this kind of spot to pop up in the Orlando area, but it's nice to find it here at least. Meals that would be $25 in a "$$" restaurant on a glass plate are made to order at Salem's in the $8-$15 range. There's also all-day BOGO milkshakes & $1.99 scoops of ice cream, which won me over before I even tasted the food. I got the large grilled fish bowl for $11.99 and my boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak combo for $12.99. They were both great! My favorite part was getting to choose the kind of fish I got, as well as the seasoning on everything. Since the drive thru and indoor seating are both open till 4AM, we ate right there and liked how clean they keep this location. 5/5 stars - totally recommend.

So much talk about this tasty place, and I had to see about it for myself. My friend lives in St. Petersburg and when I visit over the weekend, I stopped by. One of the things I heard about it was because they stay open late, and their food is made fresh to order. I chose their 5 piece Lemon Pepper Wings and Fry meal and it did not disappoint!! The wings were fresh, throughly cooked and so were the fries. The drive thru service was great and didn't wait long for fresh wings. I'd give this place a 10/10, I will definitely give it a try again!!

Just found a twist tie in my gyro form the Salems off 34th in St.petersburg. It cut my gum when I bite into it. Watch the food you eat from there.

We went back for a second time! It's one of two places we ate all weekend. I had to bump this up to 5 stars!

Food is cooked to order. The fried chicken sandwich is probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in the St. Pete area.

Wow! What a fun place to check out. There's ample parking. A lot of photo ops outside, some picnic…read moretables. So much bustle. So many people. You walk in and Theres a check out area. A fresh produce, meat, fish, sausage, pickled olives, section. You walk further down and Theres the grab and go food section. Then to the left you have wine and cheese. You go further in, and Theres a fancy cheese section. Unfortunately they don't give small amounts of cheeses and cut it for you. But you can buy some really good cheeses here. Then you go back to the very narrow hallway, and Theres a ton of coffee on the left. I just got into coffee and am a coffee snob. I noticed there was a "greasy" looking bean. Which just means it's well past its freshness. The price of bean actually isnt that bad. And they offer a lot of varieties. We bought two, Guatemala and organic Mexico. I wanted to try it out before writing this review. The Guatemala one was light, faint. The Mexico was a bit deeper flavor. I would recommend to management to better advertise the coffee bean so the product moves and stays fresh, or maybe move it to a different section where people can feel comfortable getting it. It gets so crowded in the hallway. I would leave the hallway was a grab and go area. You keep walking down and you have the coffee shop to the right, and a small bread stand to the left. Of course we got coffee. Theres a small area of seating to get coffee for there. Theres a big roaster to give the appearance that they roast their own coffee but I believe it's just for decoration. Fiancé got a cappuccino. It was okay. He normally doesn't get coffee with too much milk but the waitress said there was 3 shots of espresso in there. I would say it didn't taste like 3 shots. It taste like coffee with 90% milk. And it should be told to customers that a cappuccino there is more milk with coffee. I got the con panno. Which is espresso with whipped cream. I'm not sure if the whip cream they use is fresh, or if it's super sweetened, but my coffee was sweet. It was thick which I like but I didn't like whatever sweetener they used. But I'd probably order a macchiato if I ever came back so I could taste the coffee. On the other side of the coffee shop is the sandwiches and prepared food that you order. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fiancé had the #1 with all the fixings. It was nice but if you don't like soggy sandwiches, you can ask for no veggies. Which we would do next time. I had the 7, no sun-dried tomatoes and no veggies. It was so good. The mozzerella was very fresh! If you walk past that you have the dried cured meat, and down a hallway to the right you'll find dried pasta and fresh pasta. The fresh pasta looked so good. I wished we lived in the area so I could try. You head back the other way and pass the outdoor seating and Theres also a place for you to check out you grocery/sandwiches. Right next to that section you have the pantry area of canned fish, pickled things, olive oil. Then Theres the bread and pastry area. We only had time to see these and no time to see what other stores they had or walk around. But I'd definitely come back to check those out.

Morgan happened to be in the shop I selected. Very random and very fun! Plus, secretly delicious! (I learned later, Morgan also happens to be a very approachable and enthusiastic co-founder and co-owner). We've been back many times. Recently was a special day, April 20, and they had a 4:20 special, a sub for only $4.20! We had to go! We were excited! We were nervous! Would the 4:20 line be insane? Would the workers be frazzled? No and No. Everyone was well organized, cranking out custom delicious subs and salads. Chatting with customers. Enjoying sub life! And... Who sliced the meat for our 4:20 subs? Morgan!? Hello again! We recognized each other and chatted a bit. Sub life is still good! Liz rang up my order and was very helpful and gracious. Plus, she had a way cool alien t-shirt on. A real alien, not the movie! Gotta love it! Today, we went for the latest special, the 7.27! Matt and Randy provided professional, friendly, patient and helpful service. They really kept everything moving, worked together well, and somehow found time to keep everyone there informed of where their subs were in the process. I noticed they were at one point awarded best of the bay which could just be locals supporting local businesses which is typically how that list goes, because I would definitely not vote this as the best Cuban sandwich. Cute little local shop with mostly outside covered seating and a couple inside two seaters. This is an order at the counter restaurant near treasure island/madeira beach. Great flavor but where is the pork? The meats were limited and the most important one very scarce. They also want $11 for just the sandwich. Was it the worst I've had? No. Was it authentic? Yes. Would i recommend this Cuban sandwich? Sadly, no. If it were half that price and you just wanted a cubano I would say yes. But if you are looking for a truly good cuban sandwich because you've never had one or are craving one, I would not send you here. Decent. But not great. Price too high especially for the lack of meat. For that I give 3 stars
