I ordered the taco meal with 2 pastor tacos black beans and rice. The tacos were so tasty I could've eaten 10 more. I'd definitely come back for happy hour which is $3.50 off because the drinks were so delicious and worth every penny. The staff was so nice and they had really good music playing.

The menu has changed a bit since the last review. Prices have gone up since the last review but the crowded lunch rush, packed into the ancient building managing to resist bursting at the seams remains a constant along with the high quality of flavors. I've been coming to this location since I moved to Dallas. Introduced to this place by a friend and still go here with that same friend. Here's some tips for surviving Salsa Limon. Come early to beat the crowd. 11.55 vs 12.05 makes all the difference. Make sure you get a bit of the refreshing infused water from the dispenser by the salsa. If you like heat, try the Habanero salsa, the bright orange that should be calling to you like a siren on a rock in the middle of the ocean. Finally, order whatever the heck you want because it will be good. Bon Appetit!

My husband and I were walking around (being tourists) and we decided to get something to eat.... I had the burrito with chicken...it wasn't bad but it wasn't "slap yo momma " good... it was filling and did the trick of curbing my appetite... service was good and very welcoming ..... the ambience was fine...I mean it's located in downtown so there's that.... But omg hands down the best margarita I've ever had!!!!!!

Wow this is a fantastic place to eat and just be!! Very cantina style. Very bright and clean! The food is off the charts. So many fantastic options. I had the Molca Bowl with chicken. So fresh! Well spiced. Fantastic flavor. I also had an asada taco that was heaven. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are fantastic. I got all that food plus some chips and salsa and a soda for $20. That would easily be $30-$35 back in California. This is my new favorite in Dallas. Greats salsa choices, lots of vegetarian options and vegan too! They also breakfast all day! Can't wait to come back. Don't miss this place! On point!!

After a long morning at a convention downtown, a Dallas native in our group wanted to take us to an exemplary local taco shop to complete our Dallas experience. As this is the only taco I have had in Dallas, it is the unopposed best. But for what it is worth coming from a Birmingham native, the Al Pastor taco was the best taco I have ever had, anywhere. The portions were generous, yet I could have eaten twice as much. I especially enjoyed the variety of sauces available, though I was taken aback by the heat of the habanero sauce. If you like HOT things, it is delicious. The cheese dip was yellow american cheese based. I tend to prefer white cheese, but it was delicious nonetheless. The restaurant itself was a little cramped, but it was peak lunch hour and they did a great job turning customers over without it feeling rushed. If you're visiting Dallas, be sure to stop here. You will not be disappointed.

Best brisket tacos in Dallas. I always get their brisket breakfast tacos which they serve all day. Recently tried the BÁRBARO which was delectable and I straight up drank the dipping broth at the end. Service is always very good. They have a good deal on drinks for happy hour on weekdays.

Staff is always extremely kind when you come in. The food is always excellent and hot. Suggestions on the menu... Burrito, the tacos are fantastic, as well Chilesquiles are on point here. Also the decos is really unique at each location. I appreciated the Chane masks they have up!

Location Downtown Dallas-just off Akard and Patterson Parking Lots nearby Atmosphere Local Mexican cantina Seating Bar, counters, high and low tables. Good for groups. Service Order at counter, number given-they call out number-pick up at counter or they bring it to you. Note-staff are tri lingual-english, Spanish, sign language. Amazing! Menu So many choices! I had the salad-note-the menu says "watermelon" but it's watermelon radish. The avocado ranch was a bit salty for me so I used the mild salsa. There is a choice of salsa's- mild to hot with cups to Place it in. There is a choice of meat/ veggies. I had the barbacoa which was a huge serving. So yum! They offer happy hour specials with free chips. Breakfast and lunch/ dinner menu-full bar. One of the only downtown lunch restaurants open on weekends. Summary Convenient downtown location, awesome menu-something for everyone, outstanding service! Love this place!

I'm staying at a hotel nearby for a conference and found this place within walking distance. They're the best burritos I ever had. Better than the any mexican trucks and bodegas I go to back home in Philly. Got the Pastor burrito. The best part is they offer sliced avocados (I'm in a Dominican household so you know we gotta have the sliced avocados) in the burrito at your request instead of the typical guacamole that everyone else does. The salsa was on point. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a spot in downtown Dallas.

OMG!! What can I not say about this place. I don't eat eggs which usually means I'm going to have a limited choice. Not here. The order taker allowed me to take my time and explained to me the different options with meats or veggies. Hands down the BEST breakfast Taco I personally have eaten. I have one more day in Dallas and I'll make sure to get two in the morning. Nice and quaint little taqueria.

I'll skip the pastor and chicken quesadilla next time, and try and get the birria tacos if I'm there on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of churros but they were the best I've ever had. Crunchy and flavorful. Service was fast, but the calling of your name (to pick up the order) is super low. I don't know how my friend heard our name. There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star.

The surrounding neighborhood, however, was a pleasant surprise. It's a trendy, energetic pocket of Dallas that I had somehow never explored before, and it immediately caught my attention. The restaurant itself is quite unassuming. If I'm being honest, it didn't exactly scream "come on in." On this particular night, there was only one employee working. It took nearly 10 minutes just to place my order and another 15 minutes before the food arrived. By that point, I was more than a little annoyed. Then the tacos showed up. Talk about a complete plot twist. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the flavors were absolutely unbelievable. Whenever I visit a taco spot, I like to order a variety so I can get a sense of what they're really capable of. This time it was the al pastor, carne asada, and Baja tacos. One word....incredible. I can't tell you which one was best! I've had great tacos before. I've had places nail one or two selections. But I honestly can't remember the last time three completely different tacos all delivered a perfect punch in a single sitting. Every bite was packed with flavor, expertly balanced, and memorable in its own way. Without question, this was the best taco trio I've ever had. What a roller coaster of a visit. I went from feeling completely ignored and wondering if I'd made a mistake, to wanting to walk back into the kitchen and hug the chef. Sometimes great food doesn't just redeem an experience--it completely rewrites it. The Taco stand is GOATED
