This is my in laws favorite place to go and after a few trips with them for dinner I can absolutely see why! The staff is wonderful and always attentive to your needs while dining. The establishment is always clean and welcoming. They food is always consistently good and they are always open to accommodate any changes. Bar services are fantastic! Great margaritas and happy hour prices. I always find it comforting when a dining establishment has regular patrons that seem to enjoy their dining experience. My friend took me here after an evening of shopping and said I would love it. I am extremely picky about my tex-mex and have been since I was very young. I judge a place by their chips and salsa. If that doesn't meet my standards I will never go back, no matter how good the food is. With that said, this place has some of the best salsa I have ever had. I have been searching for over 20 years for salsa that can come close to our family favorite which closed down long ago (Tia's). The salsa is fresh and full of cilantro. Perfect amount of spice and not fire roasted or served warm which is not my idea of great salsa. Continuing on... The hostess was very friendly and got us to our table immediately which gave me a great first impression. Our server Mike (I think was his name) was very prompt, friendly, and readily available when needed. Great service from him for sure! It has been.... well never, up until tonight, that I have found a tex mex place with great salsa and enchiladas where I can also get fresh ceviche (not some garbage swimming in cocktail sauce) and tres leches cake. Usually I have to go to multiple places to get all of these. This place had all of my favorites and they were great! I told my friend they are a 10/10 or better! This place is amazing and I'm lucky enough to live about a quarter mile away. I moved out of the state for a bit, but when I came back this was my first meal. I went with the lunch fajitas and it was $10!! I usually don't like to go food but the quality was still on and they do not skimp on the food at all. I got the combo fajitas with plenty of rice, beans, guac, lettuce, pico, sour cream, a huge bag of chips with salsa and bean dip. The tortillas were amazing to. This place was a bit of a disappointment. The best part about it was the black bean dip that is served alongside salsa with the chips. This was a nice touch. Although we did take some time to come to an agreement on what we were ordering, after we had ordered, the food took an extremely long time to come out. We all got a bit antsy waiting for so long. I had ordered the chimichanga and subbed out chicken for vegetables inside to make it vegetarian. The vegetables were the most disappointing part of the entire dish. Spinach overpowered everything else, and the vegetables were barely mixed within the chimichanga itself. It was like biting into an unmixed salad. One huge bite of just spinach, followed by a mouthful of zucchini. Another person in our party had ordered the fish tacos, and was not very satisfied with the way the fish was cooked. Overall, this place probably has a couple of menu items that are home-runs, warranting its high Yelp rating, but all in all - the food was average. read more

New ownership and it is finally a hit. The food is good, the drinks are great, and people are packing in here now. I have now been to Salsa's twice. And I think the Bean Dip added an entire star on my review. We honestly choose Mexican restaurants based off their chips - so we'll probably be back to Salsa's just for their dip. The first trip to Salsa's was better than the second trip. That's not to say the second time was bad, but the first trip was a 5 star experience and the second time was a 3 star experience. That tells me there is a bit of a consistency problem, but nonetheless - it's a solid TexMex joint that will surprise you with their Bean Dip. Can that be all that bad? read more

Good food, bad customer service. Went with a group of 5 for the second time. Asked if I can get chimichanga with shrimp instead of chicken and answer was yes. It was good, can't complain about that. We asked for checks to find out they charged me for shrimp tacos dinner at $14.99 vs $8.99 for chimichanga. I asked the waiter why was that and got a bold answer : " we do NOT have shrimp chimichanga on the menu and you will be paying for shrimp tacos" . So i asked to speak with the manager and it seems like the customer service's mentality over there is messed up. So I gave my card to the manager and he charged me for $14.99 meal which i did not order or eat then i left without signing the receipt. After we got into my car and ready to leave, the manager ran into us asking me to sign my receipt or he will be calling the Cops :) . My family and I came here during COVID 19 to order/pickup our food. We waited for 30 minutes and when the food came out we noticed an extra $10 charge on our receipt. when we asked about it, the lady was not sorry for what she did. she took our food back and forth with her hands without the usage of gloves or a mask. I was very disappointed with the Asado de Puerco ( grilled and marinated pork tenderloin ) entree. It was over cooked, tough, and very salty. I only ate about three bites because I could not eat anymore. The black beans and guacamole were good, though the serving of guacamole was tiny -- otherwise, I would have given only one star! Tortilla chips were delicious and not greasy like a lot of places. The salsa and the mashed black beans served with the chips were also very good. I have supported Salsa since the first opened in Plano and normally love their food. I was so disappointed last week when I ordered the Camarones (shrimp) de La Casa! There was a dried out very dark sauce tasteless sauce covering the hard almost burnt bacon that was wrapped around most over cooked shrimp I've had ever there. Ugh! The guacamole was delicious! The grilled veggies were way over cooked and too salty to eat them. The waiter was attentive until I called him over to show him how overcooked the shrimp over. He picked up a knife and cut into one and said he found it cooked just right! Then he remove the player I saw him showing it the owner or manager. They took the charge off the bill. I ordered a take out of spinach quesadillas. I came directly home. I opened the box to put it in the fridge and found they had piled the sour cream, pico and lettuce on top of the quesadillas which ruined them! What happened was hopefully a fluke! It's still the best TexMex food in the Dallas area. I have been here many times from the first night it opened. They have now expanded to Frisco and Prosper. I will totally return here. Came in about 1:00 on a Friday for lunch and the place wasn't too busy. I was sat right away and had a waiter there in seconds. The chips, fresh salsa, black bean dip were great. I really loved the salsa. Fresh cilantro and nice little char bits from the fire roasting. I ordered the Mario, which isn't on the lunch menu, but since it was my first time here I wanted to try a little of everything. It was AWESOME. Recently my husband took me here to have dinner with friends. The four of us shared a shrimp plat as an appetizer and I just have to shout out..."the veggies on the side were delicious!" This time I had the pork Guiso & it was as great as the beef version. My hubby had a steak which was served with a chimichuri sauce and wow was that some yummy sauce! We took my mother along as I wanted to share the veggies with her. She had a delicious steak as well that had ancho chili flavor! It was so good my 15 year old son scarfed down the leftovers when we got home. I normally don't try food from the plates of others, but I just had to try everything on our table. Most places have a dish or two you love and the rest of the menu is of little to know interest; but everything here so far has us looking forward to coming back- torn between ordering what we love already and wanting to try the other items....ah, now that's a great problem to have. ok, so my Yelp Boo (Venus) and I were getting ready for the weekend on a Tuesday LOL! We had dinner at another local restaurant and decided to go for a margarita here at Salsas. People often tease me about being a regular at certain spots....well this was Cheers to Venus LOL! We walked right in and were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar. The restaurant wasn't packed but it had a nice crowd and the bartender was steady flow busy. By Venus talking about the margaritas, I already knew what I was going to order. The bartender was able to break away and come take our orders and made them right away. I've had margaritas that used fresh squeezed orange juice and I thought that was simply divine...I believe Salsas uses that same method (i'm not sure), but this was a DAYUM GOOD margarita. I despise a margarita that's straight mix tasting...this was not the case. It was so fresh, smooth and refreshing. Of course, I had my usual tequila shot and that was a wrap. The service was kinda slow, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was due to the demand of other patrons...but we shall see. OH....did I mention the margaritas are $3 ALL DAY Sunday - Thursday!!!!!!!!!!! "happy dance" LOL I'll definitely be back, can't say particularly for the food (as I've been to another location and wasn't impressed with the food...more than once), but I'll definitely be back for the drinks!! First off, don't go by the wait time the hostess give you because it's always a lot longer thAn what they tell you. Also staff is veRy rude. In Austin, you pay damn near $6 for a tiny ramekin. This was like hitting a goldmine! This small strip mall restaurant was a great find!! Fast friendly service, nice clean atmosphere, strong tasty margarita's, and the food was fantastic! I had the carne flameada. Tender flank steak well seasoned and marinated, smothered in pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. My friend had the fajitas. He said the meat was well seasoned very tender and flavorful.
