Not sure if the fault is with DoorDash or Saltgrass but I had a horrible experience. I ordered a steak dinner and with all the fees I was charged approximately $50. 3 hours later I got a call that my meal was on the way. I asked that my order be re-fired. No one wants to pay $50 for a 3 hour old steak. An hour later, I was delivered a salad with chicken and a rice krispie treat. I will never utilize Door Dash again or visit a Saltgrass. read more

The food was tasty, with customer service above average. My experience with Salt Grass has proven to me I can look forward to a nice casual environment to enjoy a tasty meal regardless of location. This Irving location is not different from that sentiment. Fast service, food prepared to my request and generous amount of follow up. One recommendation from an iced tea drinker. Servers - when you leave the carafe on the table, you don't need to be so eager to refill the individuals glasses. It grows as to quite a distraction to continue to re-sweeten the beverage when a self serve carafe is offered. Refilling the carafe may be a better idea :-) read more

Horrible,, I just left this place after paying my bill with my discover card and the waiter comes running after us accusing us of not paying our bill, I have bought the laundrys card (which I totally regret now) with my MasterCard and my daughter paid our lunch with her Discover card $65.99 we pay and leave, while we are driving off the water comes running after us accusing us of not paying our bill, I showed him I just paid and showed him my daughters card. He runs back inside with our card, so I go after him to get my card back with my signed receipt that it was already paid. will Never Ever come to this establishment again!!!!! read more

Saltgrass is one of my husbands and my all time favorites! The food and service is always above and beyond our expectations. A lot of times my husband and I share a meal to save money and they never look at us weird and don't even ask if we want our plate split. They automatically bring two separate plates with the food already spilt and never treat us any differently like some other places do when you share. They are the reason we became landrys members and go there all the time to eat. read more

Was there yesterday and I ordered the smoked pork chop with bacon jam and mac'n cheese. It was SUPER DELICIOUS! When it came time for dessert, our waiter, Robert, suggested the carrot cake. He promised me that if I liked carrot cake, I would REALLY like their carrot cake. I got a piece to go and man was it GREAT! The absolute BEST carrot cake I have ever eaten! Terrible service and mediocre food. I don't know why they ask how you would like your steak cooked because it seems they never get it right. I ordered a medium rare steak but received a steak that appeared to be almost raw. I requested that they put it back on the grill for a couple of minutes. Fifteen minutes later my steak returned to me looking like charred shoe leather. My advice is to skip this joke of a steakhouse and head over to the new Texas Roadhouse which will deliver great steaks and fantastic service. read more

I had never heard of Saltgrass before as there are none in my area of the country. Needed something quick while staying nearby at an airport hotel. I had the tenderloin cobb salad, and it was very good. It was not exactly what I expected, but I am not sure what I was expecting either, so it did the trick. What is most exceptional about this place is the customer service. I have never encountered such friendly, attentive, happy, cheerful people in my life. I always enjoy my meal here which is exclusively for lunch. The food is prepared well and taste great and the staff is very friendly. My only downside to this place is the time it takes them to prepare, plate, and serve my meal. I was just there yesterday at a 2 top with a started salad, entree salad, and chicken fried steak. All of the items we had we enjoyed, but it was nearly 30 minutes to the table for the entrees. read more

I've never had any issues with this restaurant until this evening. I ordered the grilled shrimp. I LOVE their grilled shrimp, but noticed my about 4 shrimp were not properly de-veined. The waitress was very nice and said they would cook me up some new ones, but when the new ones came, they were also not de-veined. I've had the grilled shrimp many times at this exact location and never had a problem with my shrimp being improperly cleaned. They did however deduct the price of the shrimp from the meal, but I was really looking forward to those shrimp, especially since moving back from AZ and not being anywhere close to a Saltgrass. read more

Had Jonathan as our server. Fantastic server. Filled out drinks before they were close to empty. Blocked the edge too while pouring so as not get splash us. That doesn't happen anymore! I know - another casual national steakhouse chain. But we find this particular location to be consistently good on service and food. And the price is good value. I go with the Cobb salad. My boyfriend either has chicken fried steak (lunch menu) or ribeye (dinner). We enjoy the bread and butter offered before the meal is served. We had been to a Saltgrass in San Antonio and liked it so when we moved into the area, we decided to try this location. We have been twice and leave thoroughly satisfied each time. We have tried the chicken tenders, chicken fried steak, sirloin and ribs. The ribs aren't the greatest, but everything else was very tasty! Our favorite item there might be the french fried onions, they are delicious! The service has been great both times also. read more

Great meal at the bar. I had their signature rib eye steak with a Caesar salad and a side sweet potato which was the perfect meal for an out of towner. The meal was made especially tastier with the bartender Taylor who made the best Texas tea. I was very happy with the friendly atmosphere at the bar and the fun conversations. This used to be a favorite, but it's just okay now in terms of the quality of steaks and service. I was disappointed when I ordered an end cut, the waiter checked to see if they had one, he said "Yes," promised it to me. When the dinner came, no end cut. At the same time, an end cut arrived at the table next to me. The waiter apologized, blamed the kitchen. The manager did something nice for me. These situations happen, but if you're a guy who loves end cuts, you know how you feel when this happens. read more

So this was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. To start, the host was rude and acted like our mere presence was bothering him. We ordered margaritas and they tasted like straight sweet and sour mix... sent those back and received margaritas that were somewhat better but mine had brown and black crumbs floating in it. Gross. Our food came out and the steak was tough, fatty, and almost looked grey in appearance. I felt like I was eating a steak at a high school cafeteria. The cherry on top of this wonderful experience was the piece of cardboard at the bottom of my ketchup cup. You can't imagine my disgust and disbelief when I found this, in something I was eating out of for the past 15 minutes. At this point, I completely lost my appetite and so did my boyfriend (his food was horrible as well). We got a small portion of our meal comped but couldn't wait to get out of there and never go back. I still feel sick to my stomach and I will never be eating at Saltgrass again. Overall a horrible experience and it ruined my evening. Spent almost $80 on an awful experience and a stomach ache. Thanks a lot! read more

Last night I was part of a party of 12 celebrating a birthday. Towards the end of dinner the waiter started asking diners if someone would pay for a piece of birthday cake for the birthday girl... tacky I'm very disappointed in Saltgrass. I paid for the cake and approached the manager after dinner and told her what happened. Her response was "oh". Kinda like too bad. I'm telling everyone to boycott this business.
