I do not know whether all of the saltgrass restaurants offer breakfast however, the one in Keema, which is what I am commenting on does. I would guess it's to complement the many Ferttita properties and since we spent the night at the Caya boardwalk and it was a great compliment and a close walk. The food is always very dependable and in this particular case was prepared perfectly. I asked for eggs over easy steak and fries and a biscuit with gravy and all were very good. The service was excellent. We had a lovely waitress. She made sure our coffee and water and juice were full and that we were satisfied with our meals. This brand is rather consistent now between the Katiy/Fuller operation and now the chemo operation. I would highly recommend either one. The ambience is typical of all saltgrass restaurants. Very Texan oriented and really very pleasant and this one has a significant advantage in that you're overlooking Galveston Bay, which is actually quite lovely. This is not a restaurant to be missed if you happen to be in the Kema area for breakfast. I can't speak to the remainder of the meals, but there's no reason to suspect that if their breakfast is as good as it is there lunch and dinner are likely close and the convenience within Caya is undoubtable. read more

Wife met up with some friends for dinner and the place was terrible. Two people in their party ordered cheeseburgers and they got sent out without cheese! They brought out cheese slices but it's definitely not the same. Their side of guacamole came out looking like gerber baby food. They explained that because they add water and lime juice, the guacamole is runny. Nice views. The two drinks I had, Rosa Paloma and White Cosmo, were quite good. The Paloma was a refreshing summer drink. Loved the sugar rim. I had the cheeseburger with Brussel sprouts. My mom and I just had lunch at Saltgrass Steak House. The place is right at the Kemah Boardwalk, very nice and inviting restaurant. Nice music. We had a oceanview, pretty sweet. As you seat down you get a small loaf of bread, with sweet butter., very good. My mom ordered a Top Sirloin Steak, with green beans and a Caesar Salad; I ordered a Grilled Pork Chop. Zane was our waiter, he was fantastic. My mom's steak was grilled to perfection, the green beans were very well seasoned, and the Caesar Salad was great, very good dressing and croutons. My grilled pork chop was super tender, and juicy, great flavor; I also had the Brussels sprouts, they were really tasty and tender. Good experience today at Saltgrass Steak House. read more

We celebrated and enjoyed ourselves at Kemah Boardwalk the entire weekend for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We had breakfast at Saltgrass Steakhouse Kemah on 3/14 and 3/15/2026. We were seated in a very comfortable booth with a beautiful view of The Gulf. Our servers, Danielle, Elijah and Sam were very personable, attentive and friendly. The food, prepared by Chefs Romaldo and Benito, was so fresh and delicious. Took a while to get seated, off season so I guess thats understandable, but when multiple tables that got seated and ordered after you get their food before you, it's a little upsetting. Waited over an hour to receive our food. When I asked my waiter why everyone else was getting their food, I was told "the kitchen is busy." Later I was told by someone else that the order wasn't put in until later. Own up to your mistakes instead of making excuses. I was expecting way better service after that, but it was always hard to get any help. After all of this, too add insult to hanger....I was offered a free desert...pretty insulting with how long we had to wait. I would have left if my kids weren't starving. I would've let this slide, and not made this review...but this was a trip where I was expecting to make memories with my family on rides not waiting over an hour for some food with a free desert. We really love eating here at the Longhorn when we come to town. The food is always on point, fresh and cooked to perfection. I usually always order the bone in Ribeye medium rare with a fully loaded baked potato and a dinner salad. They have never missed the mark. My wife is in love with the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. She usually prefers grilled veggies with hers and a dinner salad. I've tasted it and it really is good, I just prefer beef over chicken. Sometimes we'll order an appetizer of the Wild West Shrimp that are really great!!! We usually always have tea as our drinks. Our 9 year old prefers their Cheeseburger with just catsup on it and he's very happy with that and the side fries and a Coke. The wait staff are always very courteous and very helpful with what ever your needs may be. Another big thing is just the nice ambience there is here at the Longhorn!!! I ordered the Chicken Laredo which is supposed to come with Jack cheese, avocado, grilled onions, tomatoes, poblano peppers, green onions, cilantro, and feta cheese. They didn't have any poblano peppers and the waitress let us know. I chose to make my chicken how I wanted it. I chose No Jack cheese, and no cilantro. I added extra grilled onions and mushrooms. It was really good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The onions, mushrooms, and feta added extra flavor. For my sides I ordered tortilla soup which I didn't get a picture of but it was full of spices. I also had the herb rice which to my surprise had a yummy buttery flavor. Drinks were taking some time so we decided to go ahead and order. We let our server know that we wanted to do the 2 for 24 and he told us to hold on, he came back and said they do not offer this on a holiday. We still didn't have our drinks so we decided to leave. We also had fried mushrooms for an appetizer because hubby was hungry. We were seated right away in a decent area. Near the windows so we could see the roller coaster. Purple server Cam and the floor manager Kim saved our experience and we had an amazing meal. We arrived at the restaurant with our group of 11 mid afternoon at off peak time. The restaurant was pretty empty. The hostesses said they would get a table ready. We requested to sit by the water. The hostesses told us that was not possible. I am really not sure what was going on at the hostesses stand but they were struggling! We could see a multitude of empty tables next to the water but we were told we could not sit at them. I then proceeded to walk over to show the hostess what tables we were referring to because surely there was a miscommunication as to where we wanted to sit. This is where the floor manager stepped in and told the hostess to sit us where we requested since as previously stated the restaurant was not busy at all! Kim stepped in and made sure we were taken care and that we were able to sit where we requested. The next MVP that made sure we had a terrific experience was our server Cam. This young man did a fabulous job even with our sometimes, well let's be honest our often times difficult group. As mentioned we were a group of 11 which consisted of 8 kids(ages 2-15) and 3 adults and we can be overwhelming. Cam made it look easy. He was, kind, patient, and attentive. If it were not for Cam and Kim I would have left and never gone back. These 2 deserve a raise! The food was also delicious so kudos to the kitchen staff as well! Cam and Kim I hope you know what valuable assets you are to this restaurant. I cannot wait to go back. First - the service was great! If you go and want a great server ask for Elijah. The food was, as usual, hot and delicious. Two of us had steak and they were cooked exactly as we ordered.
