We had lunch here on a weekday. I've wanted to try this restaurant for a while now. They have a nice weekday lunch menu, that has everything from burgers and sandwiches, to salads and steaks. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet with a salad and the Brussels for $20. Fresh baked wheat bread was served with honey butter. My tossed green salad was leafy greens and vegetables. The steak and Brussels came out, hot and delicious. The Brussels were shredded and spicy with bacon. The steak was perfect in size and flavor. My friends enjoyed their steaks and sandwiches, also. I would give this restaurant an 8 out of 5 if I could. I dined with a friend who worked in the restaurant business for 40 years and he could not stop raving about the food and the service. He said he has only had one other steak dinner that comes close to or exceeds the steak we had at Saltgrass. I want to give a shout out to our waitress, Ashton. She was friendly and efficient even though you could tell she was slammed. Another server who helped was Justine. She was awesome. (I personally liked her a bit better than Ashton because she was warmer, but both were great!) We ordered the steak and shrimp and the large sirloin. My friend raved about the shrimp because there was not too much breading and the grilled shrimp had great flavor. Both of our steaks were out of this world!! They had great flavor and were cooked to perfection. So yummy!! We also had salads, mashed potatoes and baked potato. The salads were cold and crisp and both types of potatoes were good. I had raved about how fantastic their carrot cake was so we got two pieces to go. We ate them several hours later. I cannot say enough good things about this cake. It is scrumptious! As we were enjoying the cake, we both wished we had purchased two more pieces. The decor of the restaurant is cowboy/western/hunter chic. I don't know what to call it. It is attractive and neither detracts nor enhances the dining experience. There are LOTS of dead animal heads on the walls so if that type of thing offends you, you should order the food to go. I know that I have done a review on this establishment in the past, but since the service was above par again, I felt the need to submit another good review. As usual, we had arrived with a big party, right after the first of the years, so I do apologize for the late Yelp review. Our hostess was Serina, and I had noticed her from being there previously. She was very upbeat, and joyful and made sure that all of our food was prepared correctly. And like previous yelp reviews, we always joke around with the wait staff. Sometimes, that helps break up their day, and hopefully it a better day for them (Were the family that likes to have fun with our host/hostess). Like I had mentioned previously, we were there with a big party (twelve to be exact). She made sure that everything (meaning the steaks), had been prepared as we had asked, an nothing was missing from our order. We've probably been here 10 times in two years and they've nailed it every time. Great happy hour deals with items like roasted quail with brussel sprouts slaw and gluten-free jalapeno poppers, we're hooked! We've brought friends and family here and the service and quality of the food always delivers a consistently delicious experience! I usually get the prime rib or filet mignon and my hubby gets the NY strip or rib eye. You'll always have enough for leftovers the next day which cooks up just as beautifully and reminds us of how much we like the place. Only downside? A lot of other people like this place too so get there early or you'll end up on a long wait list for a table. The cure? Same full menu available in the bar at first come, first serve. read more

No pics cuz it wasn't worth it. There was a wait no big deal especially for a busy night. The service was good right when we were seated but after orders were placed our waitress was MIA. I had to flag down other waiters for water or straws, etc. Food took awhile to roll out and was luke warm at best. They missed our salads completely but at that point it wasn't worth to complain. It made me feel like I was having dinner on a friend's ranch and that friend just happened to be a great cook with a fantastic wine list ;-) By far, the best baked potato soup with large chunks of perfectly cooked potatoes. Their loaded Cheddar Fries were a pleasant surprise because they weren't actually fries, but chopped roasted potatoes with real cheddar cheese, large chunks of crispy bacon and sour cream - delish! Their house salad is also delicious and features crumbled egg. Service was spot on. Our waiter was very attentive and had great suggestions. He also timed our courses perfectly. I took my family out there on a Saturday night for a special occasion. The place was crowded. The staff was friendly and nice. I ordered the shrimp combo. My food was cold. The staff was apologetic and prepared me a new meal. Unfortunately they served me my old, cold meal and quickly apologized and replaced my old meal with the new meal. The fried shrimp was OK but the grilled shrimp were dried out. My husband ordered the rib eye. He said it was a thin steak and dried out. He got the shrimp cocktail appetizer and said the shrimp were dried out. The pricing was costly. We will not eat there again. read more

This was the worst experience ever. I have severe food allergies. I told them that I cannot have gluten, dairy or soy. I ordered a steak, broccoli and salad. (Bowl of lettuce only). I could literally see crumbs from the croutons they plucked out. This is not okay. I have s severe allergy! I asked for my steak to be fried in a separate pan to prevent cross contamination. I was a little apprehensive about coming here after reading some unfavorable reviews. We were seated promptly, and iced water followed. A nice touch is an additional carafe of water for refills. Complimentary bread with honey whipped butter. If you like a sweet bread, then this is for you. Ordered a ribeye which came beautifully charred and perfectly done. Deliciously seasoned. We also ordered the "smothered mushrooms" which are button mushrooms with onions. Enough for a topping but won't be enough to share. Side of sweet potato was cooked perfectly. Smothered with butter, and why not? :) Caesar salad: fresh, delicious dressing with generous cheese and croutons which is the same bread served at the table. Arrived at 5:30pm on a Friday night with a party of six. Parking lot was packed, but not to worry, the place is pretty big inside and they can seem to handle the crowds well. For a chain I would say they are pretty decent for an upscale steakhouse. Casual atmosphere so come as you are dress code is just fine. We were seated promptly and served equally as well. The place is pricey but they really do a pretty good job and would say the food is of higher quality. I had the baked chicken sandwich which I would say is definitely above average. My wife ordered the prime rib which was also very good. The music was a little loud which I was shaking my head at but still was able to carry on a conversation. Normally I would request for them to turn it down, but like I said, the place is pretty huge so I left it alone. Not a real romantic place to take your sweetie, but good for families and larger groups. Overall, I was satisfied, but would only return if I was invited by someone else. When you're here, it's misogyny. So this whole experience was sub-par. I'm from Texas and the stereotyped "Texan" atmosphere was so over the top. When we were sat down we got drinks. I poured my own beer into my own frosty mug which did not hold a whole bottle of beer... and set my leftovers aside so that I could pour the rest in after I've had a sip. Well, my waitress decided ten ounces was enough for me and took my remaining two ounces off the table so fast that I didn't even realize it was gone until I watched her throw it in the trash. Granted it wasn't an amazing craft beer or something but I paid for it. The reason we were even there was for my roommates birthday. I certainly wouldn't waste my time here otherwise. The steak was overcooked and over charred. I imagine they were trying to hide the flaws with the pad of butter. I had back up A-1 sauce just in case. To be fair, the meat didn't taste bad, just over done. Salad fine, loaded baked potato left more to be desired like toppings, and service was total shit. When the bill came I grabbed the check and my buddy put in his rewards card. When the server eventually noticed that we were ready to pay (about 10 minutes after I put the card in and set it standing up open with card facing the room they took it away and came back and only addressed my friend. When the manager man came back with our tab he dropped it in front of him because it was his rewards card and never once batted an eye at the fact the card had a female name on it. So I'd like to thank the staff at Saltgrass for treating me like a second class citizen thanks to my vagina. It really would've been a full Texas experience if someone had come up and called me sweethart. I'd say maybe next time but I'm going to force my roomie to pick a better steakhouse next year. read more

Went there last week and it took just over an hour to get our entree and it wasn't even busy. When I got my entree, my steak was nuke warm and had to be sent back to be re heated. The manager came over after my stake had to be re heated and just put my steak down and walked away. Wasn't concerned about it having to be sent back and me having to wait even longer. Didn't ask if it was to my liking neither. The stake was mediocre at best. Not what I expected after spending $90 for our meal so I made a complaint online and haven't even heard back from them. Her response when we went to check in was "Most people these days who use restaurants know to MAKE RE-SER-VA-TIONS!" Came here because we had a a gift certificate. It was about what I expected. Much like any other chain restaurant. So many options that are deep fried and high in salt and fat. Ordered the bees knees cocktail for nine dollars and it was not good at all. Our server was super nice and efficient. The restaurant was freezing inside. I had to ask for a table closer to the fireplace, so I could remotely be comfortable while dining. Seems like a place where many republican type thinking people frequent. They took about 30 min to bring out our appetizer AFTER we ordered it, so 40 min before we actually ate something. We ordered our entrees and it took an additional 40 minutes for those to come out. We kept getting told the food would be right out, they kept checking the food and that the kitchen was behind. Well once we received our food ALL of them were cold. Then she forgot our soup when brought everyone's salad, the soup didn't come till the food did. Then ribeye was decent I will say that. The brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese were similar to a frozen side dish you pop in the microwave. My burger came out with toppings, when ordered with none. So I'm a Landry's card member and get a 25$ credit to use around my B-Day. I've been here several times and although the food is always good, service has been fast as well, I just think they are a bit over priced just a tad bit. We ate at the bar a few weeks ago because it was busy & I don't think they are a worth it kind of place to "wait" 30minutes. I had the steak salad and it was a good portion and I must say the price was pretty cheap for it. Hubby had the prime rib, it was Meh and pretty small if you ask me. I got my happy stranahans drink and over all it was an enjoyable night. Will it be on my list to hit in the near future....uhh doubt it, but hubby's never been here so I figure use the credit here. I get that it's Christmas and I get places are understaffed and it was busy. But if your that busy and run out of food when people have a reservation... you might need to plan better. Plus our server was not attentive to the 3 of us... yet the bigger party had everything they need. Another waitress ended up helping us and our original waitress never stopped and apologized for never telling us there wasn't bread left after we asked multiple times. They brought out our food but never brought out our salad and soup. I asked about it and they asked if we still wanted it?? I said yes because we were paying good money for the food. We will not be returning to this restaurant during a holiday. If our waitress would have stopped by to keep us informed it would have made things so much better. The chicken my husband got was terrible a thin grilled chicken piled with odd toppings that dominated the dish. The worst part was the mashed potatoes and the creamy gravy. I've been trying to get on somewhere to voice my complaint. My husband and I were there 9/22/21 at the one in Westminster Colorado. Prices were extremely high and we still ordered a ribeye steak. What we were given were New York steaks very tough. Manager apologized and gave an excuse they sent them the wrong steaks marked as ribeye. Your cook should know what a ribeye is over a New York cut. We visited this restaurant recently and were pretty disappointed. The steaks are pretty expensive and the quality is just okay. One of us ordered a T-bone for about 35 dollars. The steak that came out was a very thin cut of meat and way over cooked. The servers solution was to cook another steak. I would think that a steak house could get it right the first time. Just so our friend wouldn't have to sit there and wait while everyone else started eating they chose to eat their steak anyway. The other steaks were okay but not stellar. At other restaurant's when someone has an issue with their food a manager will come to the table to try and correct the issue. No manager ever came over to check on us.
