I discovered a minor warranty issue with the system Same Day had installed a couple of years ago, and getting the problem addressed could not have been easier. First, the receptionist on the phone was polite, friendly, and efficient. Even though this is, I presume, a crunch time of year, two techs, Brandon and his assistant, showed up at my place the next morning. Same Day kept me informed about the appointment and Brandon's expected arrival time. When they arrived, it took them only a short period to time to locate the issue and correct it. During that process, they were professional, friendly, and (again) efficient. It tells me that the culture at Same Day is one that fosters this kind of approach, which is, of course, great from a customer's point of view. We purchased a unit from them about 5 years ago. It was noticeably louder than our previous unit but we chose to ignore it. The capacitor went out about 4 years later. We were told over the phone it was under warranty and they were quick to come out. Once they were at our residence we were informed that we were not paying into the home shield maintenance program so there was no warranty on the unit. After the repair, we were told we could pay for the part and service or join the plan and the repair would be included. We tried the club and had our 1st maintenance check, he looked at the unit and started trying to sell us stuff. Nothing currently wrong with the unit. Additionally, the capacitor failure was related to our ducting being too small. They sold us a unit too big for our ducting. So, in addition to selling their monthly program, they told us it will continue happening until we upgrade our ducting. I felt slimy about it all when we joined the club and did the repair but now it's feels like a terrible joke. read more

I'm not the most appliance savvy person - I don't always follow the recommended upkeep of my tools, machines, and appliances. But when I turned my AC on I could tell that something wasn't right - it felt more like a fan than an AC. That night I went to Same Day Heating & Air's website and sent in a request to have an inspection. The next morning I received an email and a text message from the company asking for more information about the house, the furnace location, and what the problem was. It was so easy to communicate with them about what's going on. We quickly scheduled an appointment for a convenient time; they had so many open appointments it was great to not need to stress over it. Leading up to the appointment, I received multiple confirmation and reminder notifications, which was great! The morning of the appointment, I received an email, text, and phone call from the technician. One interesting part was that the email had the photo of the technician so I knew I wasn't letting a stranger/imposter into my house! Wyatt was on time and really respectful of my home, he only went into the areas necessary and wore booties over his shoes to keep my house clean. The whole inspection took about 30-45 minutes and he was able to get my AC back on! He showed me what the problem was and provided me with various levels of repair as well as his contact information if we want to consider replacing it entirely (it is a REALLY old unit). I didn't feel pressured into buying a package; he emailed me the details of all the options as well as the photos he took during the inspection! Thanks for being so kind, Wyatt! Toney talked with us and walked us through the entire process, informing us how much everything would be and the estimate time everything would take. He made sure we got the best deals (active duty/veterans) and managed to get us in the very next day for installation. The installation team was amazing as well, Bryant, Gilbert, and Erick were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Super consultant who came out to speak to me first, Anthony Albanese and who helped me look at an other HVAC install they were doing in the local area. The team who came to do the actual HVAC install were great and did a pretty decent job. They were happy to answer my questions and kept me updated as the work progressed. Post project cleanup not quite as hoped / desired. Still working through some remaining issues from the project work including remediating attic hatch access work which had to be increased in order to get the old HVAC furnace down and the new furnace up. read more

Update- Mike ( manager) and Brandon ( tech) are excellent, very professional and on top of things. Not quite certain about the front office. That another story. Overall glad I gave them a second chance. I signed up as a member so hopefully things will get better. Set up appointment 2 weeks ahead , between 11-1. Recieved text technician is running late at 114, and again at 131 that he on his way. Technician Daniel called at 138 saying he was in Ramona about an 1 hour away and once he arrives the job takes about 1.5 hour if i still had room for him to come.. I live by the wild animal park it about 25 mins, but I said to myself maybe he needs to stop by and get something to eat . 315 and still no show. Called him, not even apologetic, so I canceled him realizing by his tone of voice he didn't really want to come.. read more

The appointment follow ups from the company were excellent. Reyes who performed the inspection of our existing equipment was on time and very knowledgeable. Within a day or two we met with Tony Eddington who furnished us with a quote. Again the appointment follow up by the company and Tony was fantastic. Justin was here today for a maintenance check of my air conditioning and he was amazing. He did a thorough check, advised me what were the most important things that needed to be done. My review is soley based on scheduling. I made an appt about 10 days in advance during which I said the home owner would be present for the appointment. During those 10 days preceding the appointment I received 2 text messages and 2 calls to confirm the appointment. One the last call, one day before the appointment, I was asked to provide the phone number of the home owner for confirmation of the appointment. I did. Same Day Heating did not call him to confirm the appointment themselves but I had him call Same Day Heating and he spoke with a rep and confirmed he would be present. The rep said he would update the appointment. Mind you have confirmed this appointment now 4 times and provided the owners phone number for confirmation AND the owner has called and confirmed. The next day, 2 hours before the appointment, Same Day Heating called the homeowner AND CANCELLED the appointment saying they never got confirmation the owner would be there. Mind you, the only reason they had the owners number is because I gave it to them so they could call and confirm. Based on these events I would not trust them with my buisness and will not be rescheduling. read more

Just this week we had our annual furnace Tune up/inspection. The technician said we had a cracked heat exchanger, and we'd either have to replace it or the whole furnace! Since this would probably cost thousands of $, we decided to get a second opinion. Right after the tech left I called Home Depot. They recommended Same Day. Amazing! Less than two hours later Same Day tech Esteban Reyes was at our house. After a 2 hour, very thorough inspection with camera scope, test equipment, etc. no crack was found ! I watched him do the complete inspection. Esteban is the best HVAC tech I have dealt with. He was friendly, honest, very knowledgeable , has many years experience, and answered all my questions. We decided not to replace the Heat Exchanger or the complete furnace now, saved us $$$$. We are going to use Same Day for all of our future HVAC tune up inspections. read more

We had our 24 year old A/C and Furnace removed and updated our systems. The entire process was outstanding, from the sales representative Bill D. Who explained everything to us in an easy not high sales pitch manner. They also had fantastic financing, and warranty policy. We were able to get it scheduled within 2 weeks. When the technicians [Bryant, Lamar and Richard] came out they were on time and ready to get started. Since they were inside and out and up in the attic they put on house booties and removed them numerous times during the day. They also completely sealed off the clothing, shelves and drawers in the closet for attic access. They also put down red paper throughout the house to walk on. The entire process was done with care, and expert knowledge. The team was pleasant and professional. They did a great cleanup job and you would never know they were here. Requested a tune-up and inspection because my unit is short cycling. No showed on the appointment . Persisted to say it was my fault for not confirming while there were no attempted calls or text messages. They confirmed when I called to make the appointment, and they gave me the date and time. They proceeded to tell me that they were sending a technician out here and then called and said we have to reschedule. Completely wasted my day and took unnecessary time off work. Needed to replace an entire A/C unit. Steven, the design technician, gave us the full rundown on what was needed. He assured us on what to expect and was very thorough. He was also able to give us an appointment the following week. Samson and JP (apologies if I spelled their names wrong) came to set up an entirely new A/C unit for my house. Robin and his assistant Jalen came to do a yearly checkup. They checked my plumbing which was fine but my hot water heater was not. There were toxic levels of carbon monoxide in my basement and I had no idea. Every time the hot water heater kicked on this gas was being emitted. My son plays in that area and had they not come I wouldn't have never known that he was playing in a very dangerous area of our home. I needed to put in a mini split air conditioner and heat pump in a room in my home.. I called MAUZY and received an estimate, but after signing the contract I thought I should have done more research. After cancelling the contract, love that 3 day window the government gives you to think it over, I called Home Depot who did some impressive work in my home about a year ago. They set me up for an estimate with Same Day who they have a contract with. The representative, Alex, was very knowledgeable and presented me with an estimate approximately $3,000 less than MAUZY. Additionally, the warranty was longer and the no interest no payment was for two years instead of one. Same Day was at my house in a couple of days and I had three installers, Jamie, Jeff, and Lamar. These guys were absolutely fantastic. Jeff and Jamie had about 50 years of experience combined, and Lamar was trained by Jamie. They did outstanding professional work and had everything up and running in about 6 hours. While they were working I also got an unexpected visit by Hector the Installation Manager for Same Day. That really made me feel good. On top of that, Elena Lopez, the District Service manager for Home Depot showed up. She checked the credentials of the three installers to ensure that the proper personnel with the correct licenses were working on the project. This blew me away. I did not expect this level of service, and I will not forget it. If you are looking to start a project on your home, do not forget Home Depot. You will not be disappointed. Just got a new heat pump (ac/heat), all new duct work, and insulation. Start to finish great experience from Steven (who designed/quoted) and team. The guys who showed up to do the work were timely, professional and all around nice dudes. My bulldog (who's a maniac) needs a bit of attention and having people in the house was quite stressful. Tony, Bryant, and Chris all made sure to give him a little pat'n'scratch each time they walked past him which made the whole thing much less traumatizing for him and helped put him at ease with all the commotion going on.
