If I ever won the lottery and never had to work again, I would spend the day visiting places like this where the people are wonderful and really make you feel special. Coffee is coffee and it doesn't change much from store to store but the personal touch here is exceptional. I don't know who they are because I've only been here a couple of times but the ladies that work there in the mornings are wonderful, engaging and make you feel at home. I can't say enough about this little hidden treasure we have in Burbank. Actually, if I didn't live in Burbank, I would drive especially. It is that good. They roast the beans! How awesome is that? The owner is the sweetest, beautiful, lady who is always smiling and serving and friendly. I love that woman! Now, coffee. The raving reviews were kind of disappointing here. Since it is a roaster, I kind of expected drip coffee or something. Instead, you were presented with a cup to get your own coffee out of the dispensers you see at a bagel shop. My husband had a regular coffee and I took a sip, then quickly decide to go with a latte instead. It tasted quite watered down and definitely not strong at all. The latte was much better. At least he made it fresh! The shop itself is very small and only good for a drop in, pick up and back on the road. Not sure it's the best place to sit around and enjoy your coffee. $3 something for a coffee at a coffee roaster and I was quite disappointed. Sorry. read more

This was a quick stop to try some local coffee beans while we were visiting the area. I'm glad we picked San Marco. The guy was super friendly and let us know that he had just roasted the beans this morning. I went with their espresso blend since I mostly brew espresso for lattes. He bagged us up a pound and also prepared the dark chocolate mocha that we ordered. I was impressed with the mocha--great flavor and not overly sweet. As for the beans, they don't have the most airtight bags, which would be my only minor negative. But they made it back to Vegas fine and we enjoyed the resulting lattes for the next couple of weeks. This is my favorite little coffee secret in all of the valley. Always worth the trip. Vahan the owner is there to serve with a smile. And how rare is that these days? After the great reviews of this site - I expected more. There is no seating worth mentioning - 2 tables outside with funky (not used endearingly, in this case) seating, and 3 indoor bar stools which were being used by the staff reading newspapers. When I asked what was popular, the nice woman point at the AMPM-style coffee carafes where you pump your own coffee. I ordered a latte, which was OK - not bad, not great. Street noise is loud, so the outdoor seating isn't for anyone except the desperate to sit down. The staff was reasonably polite, but nothing I'd rate 4 stars. Maybe the coffee shops in Burbank are low quality to rate this one so high. As a non-Burbank local, I won't be stopping here again. read more

This is an absolute gem of a neighborhood coffee shop. The owners are super friendly and genuinely passionate about coffee, but not at all snobs about it. I go there on saturdays (when they fresh roast the beans every week) and get a couple bags now that I have my own grinder. They are always so eager to let me smell and try the different roasts before buying. It's a small storefront shop with only a few places to sit (which is the only downside, because I would love to sit there all day on the weekends), but it's more than worth the visit. I was driving to sprouts, when I noticed this little shop that roasted coffee onsite. I was in need of some fresh coffee so I took a chance and stopped by. Parking is ok, I had to wait a minute or two before a spot became available, but it seems like most people are only parked a few minutes at a time here just to pick up or drop off so a bit of patience and you should be golden. Once inside, the owner was ever so helpful, and asked me a bunch of questions about the kind of coffee I like, to give me a few options on which would be the best coffee for me to try. Once I made my choice, he asked me how I made it, to which I responded drip, and then he wanted to know what kind of basket I used - metal, cone or square, cos he wanted to change the grind depending on the answer. Talk about attention to detail!! Thus far, the customer experience was great, but we're talking about coffee here, and the most important part of coffee is in the tasting. So how was it? The owner and his wife are very friendly and definitely take pride in what they do. The beans are roasted at their location and man..you can taste it in every cup. The coffee has nuanced flavours that I don't get at most places. I especially love the dark mocha (which uses real chocolate!)-iced in the Summer, hot in the Fall and Winter. When I came in, I had to wait for the person working there to finish chatting with someone for about three minutes. After that, I got an iced latte which seemed like it was made with very little espresso and skim milk before being watered down. The espresso was also slightly burnt tasting.
