After standing in line for 90 minutes, paying $70 for chicken tenders and a steak, our food came out 45 minutes later and was freezing cold. That was such a damper on our experience, but now we know not to come to San Tan Flat at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. The vibe, is awesome! We loved the outdoor seating, fire pits, live music, string lights, and lively vibe! We'd come back on a day/time that isn't as busy!

We had an awesome time here today. We stopped by for lunch. The menu is limited at lunch but still not bad. I had the Mesquite Chicken Salad and a Chili Soup. I liked the soup a lot. It was spicy but not over powering. The salad was large with lots of chicken. We were the first ones here but we were allowed to enter a little early. We were given menus and told to order at the bar. When the food was done the server brought into us. She was friendly and came by several times afterwards to ensure we were OK. I loved the layout with a western theme. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. There is even a bar outside as well as a dance floor. Thank you San Tan Flats for the good time.

Loved the vibe. The atmosphere was so fun. There was live music Thursday night and that was the cherry on top. Was happy that there were plenty of misters, as someone who came from out of town-this was crucial. It was a very fun place to be. We ate outside and there was plenty of seating. The only fallback was the wait. There was an insanely long line, that took about 45 minutes to get through to order and then our food took another 45 minutes to get. We got a special menu item, the fried macaroni bites and they were delicious. They had green hatch chilis in them, which was a great touch. I got the bacon cheeseburger and I gotta say, even though it was a really long wait, it was a great burger.

What's up humans! Stopped by this spot while I was out in the area. Definitely worth checking out! The outside area ambiance was dope, can even start your own fire. Good music. Service was good. And the food was great! Check it out. Honey BBQ Baby Back Ribs - Slow cooked, literally fell off the bone, great sauce, incudes Creamed Corn & a Dinner Roll (both delish), and your choice of sides, I got the Asparagus. Fire for real! If you're in the area and looking for some BBQ, give em a go. Not disappointments. Salud!

This place was so amazing!! Ordered food right away and it was ready pretty quickly. We had the steaks, cooked medium, and they were perfect! Nice seasoning and still juicy/tender. The baked potato was yummy and the corn on the side was also delicious. We came late in the evening, basically missing dinner rush and had a lovely time. The live musician was SO talented and we definitely enjoyed the songs he performed.

Stopped at San Tan Flat to hear some live music, we weren't sure what to expect, WOW! This place was hopping! Lots of outside seating with fire pits, several bars that you can walk up to and order drinks or food...there was also a large restaurant area inside if you didn't want to eat outside , there was a wait to be seated though. The place has lots of things to look at/do, pool tables, smore kits for the kids (you have your own fire pits!) Everyone was super friendly, the band was great, we will have to come back and try them for dinner!

The ambiance is always great, especially when it's cool enough to use the firepits! Even in the hot summer days, it's comfortable, as they have misters. The food is good, but not great, for a steak house. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait in line for food! The place is always busy, but the bar does a really good job of getting people served pretty quickly. The workers are always pleasant, not rude! Most of them even have smiles on their faces. It's fun to have live music as well.

We came here on a Wednesday night with friends. We arrived around 4:30 PM and we were seated inside as it was still a little warm outside. However, they do have lots of misters so it's not too bad outside. When you sit inside, you have table service, which was nice. Our server was very nice and efficient. Our food came out within 10 minutes and was nice and hot! My husband ordered the full rack of ribs along with the steak fries. It also comes with cream corn and a roll. I ordered the flat iron steak with asparagus. It also came with cream corn and a roll. Both of our meals were quite delicious. I could only eat the top half of the asparagus because the lower half was a little woody. But there still was plenty of vegetables. We couldn't finish our meals so we took a little home for a lunch snack for the next day. Our friend's rib eye looked pretty good; we'll have to try that next time. They brought our friend out a piece of cheesecake to celebrate his birthday. It was a very nice birthday dessert. The outdoor singer was starting up as we were leaving. I think it would be fun to come back when the live music is playing. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyable dinner. Great atmosphere and not only was our dinner amazing so was our server. She greeted us with a smile all throughout the night and was on top of her game with all of the tables as we observed her within our seating area. We ordered the Wings followed by the ribeye and the filet. Delish and everything was cooked on point. The only thing that wasn't enjoyable were the two teenage hostesses. They NEVERED smiled when greeting new customers and it was obvious that they made people feel and unwelcome. This establishment needs to be educated on the laws regarding service dogs and service dogs in training. I brought my service dog in training. He was antagonized by several small children who kept approaching him too closely. I maintained control of my dog, but he barked once. He was not aggressive, but was only doing his job by alerting me to the behavior of the small children. I controlled him and got him to stop and relax. He is 7 months old, and was more well behaved than the children who continued to run around, yell and climb on the stage coaches and other tables. Instead of addressing the children's poor behavior, the manger told me if the dog barked again I would have to leave. I explained Arizona laws regarding service dogs, and service dogs in training, but she ignored me. I moved to another location in the establishment, and prior to leaving I asked to speak to the General Manager. She refused to provide me his contact information and said I could come to speak to him on Wednesday. I explained I never wanted to come in again, and asked for there general number. She once again refused to provide the number and I then asked for her to right down the number for the store. For an establishment who pretends to care about veterans and first responders, this behavior is abhorrent. There polices do not comply with Arizona law. read more

One of the reasons why we moved to Arizona was the flats (Greasewood Flats, Pinnacle Peak Patio, and San Tan Flats.) Dining service starts at 4:00 pm. Great Arizona ambiance, outdoor dancing, fire pit to chase the desert chill. We need more of these kinds of eateries around. read more

I stopped by here for my birthday and its not as great as it used to be. One of the bartenders didn't know how to make 2 of my drinks properly and I requested her to use a different liquor instead and she refused. My wife and I felt like absolute sick after eating the food and we still don't feel good. Also 1 of the cooks were being very disrespectful to my wife when she picked up the food. our whole groups food was cold when I started eating. Spent about a total of $200-280 on food and drinks for our group, not including tips that were left. I doubt this place gives any attention about the review or will do anything. But I'll go to Dierks Bentley or Denim & Diamonds before I come back here, at least the employees are nicer and can make my drinks right. I used to work in the restaurant industry so I know how things are done. I'm pretty patient with people in general but last nights attitude from the majority of the staff there was not worth going last night. In all honesty it kinda made me feel shitty last night and ruined it for our whole group. I don't take my birthday off and this is the first time in 6 years I've ever had my birthday scheduled off that I've had time to enjoy for myself. read more

I would highly recommend this place to all my fellow browns, blacks, Asians, and other minorities looking to experience the ugly and ignorant side of America. If you're a Mexican American or Asian American (and not accompanied by a white person) you will enjoy a comfy booth for as long as you like, just know that you will be waiting for food that's never going to come. If you decide as an Asian or Mexican American to leave before eating the food you ordered that was never going to make it's way to your table, be sure to pack your patience, because it will take 25-30 minutes to pay for one Diet Coke before leaving with an empty stomach. it took 3 San Tan Flat staff members to get me my change for the Diet Coke since they were making extra sure the $20 bill was legit. After all, it was a "brown" hand that gave the "white" hand the money.... Unfortunately, for San Tan Flat, I'm not one of those dumb "brown girls"... this establishment is refusing service based on race, ethnic background, and/or national origin, and that is against the law. I look forward to seeking legal options due to the Perceived Customer Discrimination I endured and I will be getting my story out there on multiple platforms. I am going to continue to encourage a more diverse population to support your business so your staff has no choice but to interact with the very people they fear and hate...our MONEY IS GREEN just like yours and WE are not going anywhere...I am an American and this is my HOME too! Hand down my absolute favorite place I have eaten at in this area!! I went to San Tan Flat with a group of 4 people. The place was packed but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. We all ordered a couple drinks at the bar and the service was fantastic. The mixed drinks were made correctly and were very tasty. They hadn't great selection of beer as well! I got some ipas that were fantastic. The food we ordered also came out really quickly. I had the ribeye and it was cooked med rare. My mom had the salmon. I will tell you that I have not had a ribeye this good in really really long time. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection with salt. This needed no extra sauce to make it taste better. The salmon was also really good. It fell apart great and had an amazing seasoning. If I go back to this area this will def be the first place I go back to eat at. I seriously was so impressed. If you get a chance to eat here you won't be disappointed. read more

My sister and I went here on Thursday night and had such a great time! The drinks, food and live music was perfect! All the staff was so friendly and very sweet. The singer was doing an acoustic performance and he was incredible! I highly recommend this place for date nights or even out with the girls or guys. It was such a fun environment! There are also fire pits around and you can make s'mores. read more

San Tan Flat is great bar/restaurant/outdoor firepit live music venue to bring a group of friends and family. PLENTY of outdoor seating and the live music is always a welcome thing! The food is stellar but ordering is a chore on a busy night there. I think if they added a virtual que or online ordering it would really speed things up. The staff is constantly cleaning and picking up things and are very attentive and they seem pretty happy! We had such a great time at San Tan Flat and always do. It's very much a country atmosphere. The outdoor space is awesome with plenty of seating, fire pits, and a good size stage with live music. LOL! I laugh at the negative reviews about this place being racists. I am of Mexican descent and a bit on the darker side. I have never experienced any type of racism towards myself or anyone there. I live in California and make it a point to visit San Tan Flats when ever I visit Arizona. Yeah, I know the wait times are long. But it is so worth it. For those that deduct stars or base the entire rating on the wait times, shame on you! You were aware of the wait times when you checked in and had the prerogative to stay or leave. Had we not gone so late on Saturday night I would have loved to eat outdoors. The firepits, live music and people having fun was the perfect ambiance that I wish I was part of. Next time! On this last trip my brother and sister-in-law went with us and they were not disappointed. I ordered the ribeye (medium rare) with the loaded baked potato. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. My mouth is watering right not just thinking of it. The potato and creamed corn were also delicious. My only regret is not remembering the names of all of the employees that interacted with us so that I can give them a shout out. Can't wait til my next trip to Arizona. read more

Dinner was 180.00 and underwhelming. My burger was a hockey puck! Asked for medium, it was clearly overdone and the server took so long to get back to our table didn't notice it wasn't eaten...also never asked if everything was okay. I do NOT recommend this place at all. read more

I will advise this first, if you're worried and/or stressed about catching COVID, this is NOT the place for you, as there are NO masks, social distancing or capacity limitations. Continuing: Husband treated me out to an early Mother's Day dinner and I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect. It was packed, which was expected, but thankfully we found 2 seats at the bar. We sat down and ordered our drinks. My margarita was delicious and sweet. Our beef tips appetizer was better than I imagined. Who would've thought that frying up a steak tip like a chicken nugget could taste so good. My main steak, the Ribeye, was even better. Perfectly cooked and to tender, I questioned needing anything more than a butter knife. The sides paired perfectly with everything, especially the creamed corn. Husband got a burger that he stated the top bun was a little burnt, but it didn't stop him from scarfing down the rest of his plate. No time for dessert this round, hopefully there will be during our next visit. read more

Food was ok, nothing special very basic menu. My steak was slightly over cooked, I am willing to overlook that. Service was decent, horrible ambiance, it is so freaking loud in there can't carry a conversation with your dinner companion. Outside is way too dusty so don't dress up to dine here. Overall I may go back but will not hurry back. read more

San Tan Flat was recommended to us by friends. This has to be the coolest place I've ever been in. The atmosphere, the food, and the theme of San Tan was welcome and refreshing. Coming from an ultra liberal anti conservative state I was happy to be there. The hand painted signs quoting words written by Thomas Jefferson and other patriots throughout history still apply in these times. I don't usually get political in reviews but I can't say how nice it was to find a pro freedom, pro constitution business in a country full of division and hate. On to the service and food. The server was friendly and efficient. It was like we knew her the way we were all talking. There is indoor dining and a huge outdoor area with a stage for live music. There are fire rings, picnic style tables, an outdoor saloon and a game room. Everyone was friendly and there were smiles everywhere. We ate inside but went outside after to enjoy the outdoors and the two gentlemen strumming guitars and singing. I had a NY steak medium rare with a potato and asparagus. It was all excellent. The steak was perfect and whatever rub they put on it was out of the ballpark. Mrs Billy D had a grilled salmon Caesar salad that looked very good. All in all it was a great evening at a very cool place. We will be back. Thank you San Tan Flat! read more

First time customer. It's a big ok .. Unique vibe with outside tables/ music Food was just ok -- medium well burger came out very over done . Too dry. Our groups all had burgers -- none were great - only one was not dry . Also ordered fried pickles - pretty tasty ! Not a fan serve yourself toppings. Someone dropped a pair thongs on floor and picked up and put on tray . Did not get any toppings . Service is non existent except for order counter and bartender . We moved to 2 tables to find one not covered in grime. From all the reviews had high hopes for a good burger joint -- kinda disappointed . I'm sure it's fun for drinks and music . read more

This restaurant is a 5 star rating. We waited 15 min max on a busy Friday night. We ordered and fast service with our food and drinks. The environment is loud music playing and a lot of people inside talking but good place to eat dinner. The food was 10/10 rating. The food was delicious!!!! I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family! The parking is crazy and packed with all parking spots filled. Came here for dinner, visiting family in the area. They were excited to take us here. Atmosphere and experience is like nothing else I've experienced. Very cool concept. Open/outdoor main area with park benches and fire pits to make your own fire. Live band, little building all around the courtyard to get different drinks or food items. If seated outside, it is fully self serve. Inside you get the full waiter/waitress service. Food was great, I ordered the flat iron steak per recommendation of family and it was cooked to order; medium rare. Was stuffed so I didn't have room for dessert. Overall would definitely come back, Very cool patriotic vibe with lots of quotes of the constitution all around. read more

I was skeptical as it's a big bar and they only had one bartender, but my man was on his game. Even the walkups waiting for tables got served pretty quick! Beer choices were amazing. My friends ordered cocktails both on and off the menu and were very satisfied. I haven't had a good Poutine in a long time, since Chicago, and this one was close. I blame inflation but it was still above average. I didn't smell anything, no bleach or sewage, and felt super welcome by attendees also watching March Madness. And $6 a pint in this economy?!? God bless the lovely barmaids, their kind service, and the free Guinness that an employee called Thomas bought me. He's a good bloke. However, this place is full of arrogant security guards (who throw water at the very kind barmaids) and...I hate to throw around the term "redneck," but when someone buys you three beers then asks a Marine/Afghanistan Veteran if you if you want your "a** whooped for no good reason (right in front of a "security guard" nonetheless) ," you tend to leave with a sour taste in your mouth. I received at least four to five threats that night for simply being there...as if I was acting like the most impolite and terrible human being in existence. I was basically fly-on-the-walling it most of the time and minding my own business even. Really, grown men conducting themselves in such a way to someone who proudly served their country (or any decent human being for that manner) is absolutely pathetic. Instead of simply asking me to walk on if I offended him (I have no idea how, for I was awfully kind), he threw down a threat first. Real Marines know what they are capable of, and are taught to walk away. And we do. And I did. I simply came there to socialize and have a good time, and met some decent folk, but this place is full of wannabe tough guy bikers and cowboys alike. I am never spending my hard-earned cash at this place again. For every one kind patron, there was at least 3 bad apples. To be fair, you'll find people like that at almost any bar, but the sheer amount of arrogance would have been too overwhelming for the average bear. If someone is bothering me I kindly ask them to move along or, if they do not comply, get up and leave. I'm only 24 and I know better than to go around threatening people who have done no wrong to me. If this is the kind of crowd that gathers at this place, it ain't worth going to. It's either a grown man-child in a cowboy hat, or some fake biker wearing colors he bought at the Goodwill trying to act tough. I ended up sitting by myself the majority of the time and listening to the VERY talented gentleman who was on stage because of all the attitude I received for no evidently good reason. This place seemed pretty veteran-friendly to me, as all the signs and quotes from Jefferson might imply...but in reality...it's just all about this country-western ambiance and wannabe poser "tough guys." Security should keep a better watch on the kind of folk that show up here, for there were a lot of mothers and fathers dancing with their children and having a great time- which did make me smile. When you have those types around women and children...you really need to pay better attention. However, when security is every bit as arrogant as the patrons...it REALLY leaves a bad impression on people. I think the management needs to take a good, hard look at some (definitely not all, for many were very, very nice) of their employees and how they come off towards others. Go somewhere else if you want drinks at a fair price and good company to go along with it- for you will not find it here. I've been to plenty of bars, pubs, etc and had a less-than-stellar experience at this place. I believe it's more fur coat than trousers. AKA- too much emphasis on ambiance than proper service. It's just another dive bar with more window dressing. For the record, I did not bother to try the food- but I overheard many complaints about people not receiving what they ordered, and some seemed to wait for a particularly long time and ended up getting what they didn't order in the first place. This place has the potential to be even better than it is, but maybe everyone's just become complacent to a certain point. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the ladies behind the bar were total professionals and quite kind. Also, I work in the Security field for a living, Armed Guard business in particular. That's why I'm so disgusted at the lack of professionalism. My moonlight position is the EXACT job they do, and we do not tolerate those who make threats towards others. They either don't value their jobs or they just don't care unless someone throws punches, when the entire goal is to avoid those situations to begin with. read more

We used to go here all the time. We like eating dinner outside by the fire pits. Their food is okay. The last time we went here it was very busy for a Sunday night. We waited over an hour for our food. We came as a large group and there were 4 separate orders for our group. The orders were done at the same time. One of the orders had an appetizer that came out 10-15 minutes after their meal. We knew that we wouldn't get our food at the same time however another order came out over 20 minutes later and the rest of us were already done eating. That order was for 2 hamburgers and it's funny that there were other orders that had ordered after us that were also burgers and got their burgers first. Even the customers who ordered after us that got their burgers first were saying it was ridiculous and that we should say something. We understood it was a busy night but we felt like maybe they skipped the order or forgot to cook it. We asked to talk to a manager who's name is "Megan" and she was extremely defensive. She just kept saying with an attitude "Sorry, it's a busy night", "I don't know what to tell you", "what do you want me to do about it?". It didn't seem like she cared about customer service. She was basically blowing us off and not sincere about her "Sorry". It was excuse after excuse... she would say "well the numbers don't go in order" then she said "it's because you ordered well done burgers" (btw, we were never asked how we wanted our burgers cooked)... We told her that we come here often and that after the way she was handling our complaint that we might not come back and she said "i think that's best". If this is the type of person that is representing this business, then it's bad for business. If you make a mistake own up to it or sincerely apologize and try to keep your customer coming back. We asked to talk to a general manager or the owner at a later date and she refused to provide a name or a phone number and said she was the only person to talk to and that the owner doesn't deal with stuff like this. Which may be true but if she truly felt like she handled this situation appropriately then she would have no problem giving us the owner's name. The manager Megan was rude, argumentative, impatient, and indignant. After some debate she refunded us the order only per the kitchen manager's request and then asked us to leave the business. Which we were glad to do after that experience. Anyway to sum it up, the atmosphere is nice, the food is okay, the wait for food is very long on busy nights, and the Manager MEGHAN is awful!!! read more

San Tan Flat is an extremely unique western steak house in the city of Queen Creek, Arizona and has found its place as a local hang out for a multitude of people. San Tan Flat is a highly American western dressed restaurant that does a phenomenal job portraying its country theme and style to its guests with the numerous decorations in the venue, ranging from rusted looking horseshoes on the wall to the saddle seat high chairs for younger kids. Not only is it an indoor steak house to enjoy a very well-priced meal or some drinks, but it doubles as a self-serve hangout with an outdoor lounging area often containing a bonfire used for making s'mores or just warming up. This is a venue that brings more enjoyment and novelty than your ordinary steakhouse. Upon entering San Tan Flat Steakhouse, you walk to the door and find a trough doubled as a water display coupled by a set of flowers and a wooden door. As you enter you are immersed into an environment of country musical vibes and an almost sepia color of 19th century American memorabilia hanging on the walls from the ground up. It is a very warm place and the staff are nothing short of helpful or welcoming. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by the nearest servers and similarly greeted at the front stand. After a 10 minute wait in the lobby, I was seated and immediately extended another warm greeting. The waiter as extremely attentive regardless of and almost full seating area indoors and was very productive towards our satisfaction. Now past about a 20 minute time period, I have received my food and am over joyed by the aroma of their fantastic chicken strips (I know, a steakhouse and I order chicken); the dish is paired with a handful of steak fries and a cup of buffalo sauce and ranch. Upon taking my first bite of a chicken strip dipped in buffalo sauce, I am overwhelmed by the sensation of a mildly crunchy chicken strip and the kick of the perfect buffalo sauce. It is a blissful moment that I enjoyed and will always remember. The food was nothing short of amazing and the environment was nothing less than unique and vibrant. Walking into San Tan Flat felt like stepping onto the Ponderosa set of a classic Western -- not in a gimmicky way, but in a way that instantly transports you. It has that rugged, nostalgic frontier charm that makes you feel like you've escaped into some hidden Arizona oasis. This is not just dinner. This is an experience. If you're looking for a patriotic, wildly fun night out -- date night, family night, or you just have a serious ribeye craving -- this is your place. Where else can you eat a great steak under the lights and build your own bonfire right at your table? Fire pits are everywhere, wagons are loaded with wood you toss into the flames yourself, and they even have little stations selling s'mores supplies so you can roast marshmallows after dinner. It's genius. The atmosphere was incredible -- packed with people but never overwhelming. Live music, line dancing, families everywhere, great drinks, and this huge open-air setup that somehow feels energetic and relaxed all at once. It felt like Montana met Arizona and threw a party. We were charged $4.50 for a beer which was served in not much larger than a dixie cup. The salad bar was disgusting and surprised it passed code. Small kids running around everywhere including up on the stage every 2 minutes. The set up with open fire pits all around seems dangerous even for adults let alone small children. We were looking for an enjoyable evening and thought the unique idea might be cool as we enjoy live country music. What started off to be a fun evening quickly turned out to be miserable! All of the above could have been overlooked until I put on my glasses and took a look around. CONSERVATIVE PROPOGANDA posted everywhere you look! I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience my group and I had at this restaurant and bar was truly disappointing. As a 34-year-old adult, I fully understand and respect the legal requirement to show ID when ordering an alcoholic beverage. Unfortunately, I did not have mine on hand, and while I had no issue with being declined a drink, what followed was completely unacceptable. The staff's attitude was unprofessional and frankly, rude. Instead of simply addressing the situation with courtesy, several servers and bartenders chose to gossip and mock us openly behind the bar -- behavior that was clearly audible and deeply disrespectful. Being treated with such immaturity over a routine policy issue was both embarrassing and unnecessary. A business that serves the public should uphold professionalism and kindness, even in situations where rules must be enforced. I hope this feedback encourages a higher standard of customer service in the future. We will not be returning. read more

I really enjoyed coming here! I see a lot of reviews that complain about the hour long line to order food, but there is also a place to sit down and order like a regular restaurant. We started with the fried pickles.. so good. I ordered a steak with potatoes and my brother ordered a steak with the lobster tail. Overall, both were really good.. especially for the price. I don't think I have had a steak that good without paying over $50 in a long time. Only complain is the service. Our server took forever to get our drinks I actually thought she had completely left because it took so long. Then it took another 25 minutes for her to come back and ask us for our orders. I was completely starving by the time the food came out, thank god for those fried pickles. However, it also didn't ruin the overall experience of the restaurant. I would definitely come again when I am in town next. read more

The kitchen staff and food were great! The waitress and bar staff..... EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!! PISS POOR SREVICE WITH A WHOLE LOT OF ATTITUDE!!!! The little girl who took our food order had a very poor attitude and the bar staff acted like it was a chore to take a drink order and they had no one in line waiting. Coke machine was out of ice. Asked bartender for ice water and with no one in line told me I had to get ice and water at the coke machine after I told her it was out of ice. Then went back for another drink order and was ignored completely. If this is how a buisness is ran and operated, guess I can go elsewhere and also recommend others to do the same. To the owner of this establishment...... I suggest you clean up your house b4 you lose a whole lot more guest!!!! read more

I enjoyed the music, the drink prices weren't bad at all, we got two wells drinks with tip was less than $20! Not bad. I would like to visit here at a later date during the weekday. The food options looked pretty good, while we were there people were still ordering!
