##3 Roasted Rascal (T) (SF) on a Dutch crunch
    Tiffany S.

I was a little daunted by the price point, but after seeing how large the sandwiches and salads are, I think it's well worth the price! The sandwiches and salads are easily big enough for two people with how stuffed and loaded they are. I personally really enjoyed the barbecue chicken salad and I'm looking forward to trying to king Louie next time! I prefer the wheat bread over the Dutch crunch here. The staff were sweet with helping me make a decision as it's quite a large menu! The interior has two small tables and the exterior has three tables with some shade. Parking is easy and this was a great stop while running errands in foster city!

Ordered to go, was ready on time. I tried 1x before but did not come back because the sandwich was very skimpy on meat. Figured would give it another try I do live pretty close. Thats it no mas....

Tried this place with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. No lines, fast service, great parking, and delicious hearty sandwiches. I had the King Louise Sandwich which was really hearty. Glad we chose the Hungry size instead of the Starving size. The King Louise sandwich came with honey ham, breaded chicken patty, and Swiss cheese. The toasted sourdough bread had garlic-pesto sauce and mayonnaise. There was a generous amount of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions. The aroma was so enticing especially when you first opened the wrapper. I have to say it's best enjoyed while it's warm!

The sandwiches are so good. I tried the Italian sandwich regular size and I still couldn't finish it. The guy was quick to make it and got out of there in less than 10 minutes. Sometimes they even have one buy get one through Uber eats as well. Parking was relatively easy but I think it was dead that day. Not a lot of foot traffic, and I can only assume that if it's actually lunch time and everyone is working it would be busy.

    #12 Italian Jungle $13.20

With a name like Sandwich Monkey...I am very curious.  First of all the shop is part of an apartment complex.  There is parking but most of the parking spots are marked "visitor parking". We phoned in our order when we realized that when you order online it goes thru Grubhub. Wanted to make sure the shop did not have to pay any service fees. We ordered: The  #12 - Italian Jungle($13.20)  on a sweet roll.  Loaded with veggies... artichoke hearts, pepperoncinis, and the normal sandwich veggies.  There was supposed to be oregano and a garlic sauce.... but honestly I did not taste any of that.  There was a real thin layer of salami, capicola, mortadella and provolone .  Honestly the sandwich is a bit on the bland side.  I could barely taste the vinegar but nothing really stood out.   The #02 - Monkey's Uncle ($12.50) on Dutch Crunch.  The mistake here is this is a toasted sandwich...as you might imagine what happens when you toast Dutch Crunch.... the top of the roll was well charred... so it will shred the roof of your mouth much more efficiently.  This is their interpretation of a warmed Reuban.   Really good sandwich... the meat to bread to filling ratio was pretty good and this was actually a decent value.  The sauerkraut is not overpowering...it was a really good balance of flavor.   -- Jerry G. 9. Avocado Gobble Sandwich - Starving sized it's as long as my elbow to my finger tips! It's a biggie!

Well, now I gots me a go-to sammich shop near the hood! The Yelp reviews really hold true to their near 5 star ranking. These Sandwich Monkeys make a dang great sammie! Everything is so fresh!! It's re-FRESH-ing to have such fresh, excellent quality sammie. Nestled at the base of a nice apartment complex, Sandwich Monkey makes some fantastic sammiches. I ordered the #9 Avo Gobble on sweet roll. Every ingredient is thinly sliced and super fresh. I love their turkey, shredded lettuce, a few thinly sliced red onions, American cheese slices, yellow mustard and mayo. You have a choice of (2) sizes; Hungry or Starving. I ordered Starving just to see the sizing. It's massive, about from my elbow to my fingers tips massive. The sweet roll is perfection! You're given many bread options but I'm partial to sweet rolls. It's not scrawny and it's not a big bunch of bread. Overall, I really enjoy this sammie. I ate half later. Next time I'll order Hungry sized sammie. I'm sad I haven't found them sooner. They've been around for many years and do some serious sammich making. A little side note, one of my first jobs was working in a very popular NY style deli making sammies. Peeps loved my sammies so much they would request me to make them. These sammies threw me back to those sammies, especially the turkey meat. I have not had great turkey sammie meat like this since back at that first job. On my breaks I would make myself sammies. Man, I was living the dream in my teens, haha. The owners loved me because I was very honest and trustworthy. Very nostalgic, loved it! If you're in Foster City, looking for a sammie, give them a try. You better be hangry, too. Cheers!

I love deli sandwiches. They're my favorite lunch food. This place bummed me out from the gitgo. The staff seemed disinterested and unhappy. There were no smiles or even a hello. The music was loud, too, for some reason. Everything seemed odd. Anyway, I had to tell the guy that it was my first time. He gave me a few of the popular choices and I settled on the pastrami and also a turkey avacado. Long story short. The pastrami sandwich was terrible. There was no flavor. The sandwich fell apart and was messy (see picture). Parts of the roll were hard like it was stale. It was just a bummer. I didn't finish it and I finish everything. I just powered through my $40 lunch as best I could. The rest I balled up and threw the rest away. The turkey avacado wasn't much better. Management: Turn down the music. Train your staff on attitude and customer service. A smile goes a long way. Instead of a number just ask the customer for their name. I was the only one waiting and your employee kept yelling "Thirty six! Thirty six!". And please train them on making a good sandwich. You're expensive so it better be great.

Super disappointed! We visit this place often but today I am especially bummed. I understand price increases BUT please please make an exceptional sandwich. Asked for no onion on both sandwiches but got onion on both . Asked for extra mayo on both sides of bread but did not get that and got extra mustard on one of them. Both sandwiches are dry. For $42.85 I am really sad that my order was not made correctly. Definitely will be trying out new sandwich spots.

    12 Italian Jungle Sandwich

Very disappointed in the sandwich I got. The picture says it all. I felt like I was eating a vegetarian sandwich. I've order Italian jungle from this place before and it was fine, maybe I got unlucky and it was an off day. But looking at the other reviews, maybe they're cutting back. Bread was also soggy, even though I ate the sandwich within 5 minutes of pick up. I've been to other sandwich joints like Mr Pickles or Ike's that give at least double the meat

I was hungry and started eating the sandwich while walking, but after just a few bites I had to throw it away. The grilled pork was unbelievably salty--easily one of the saltiest bánh mì fillings I've ever had. It tasted like the meat had been heavily over-seasoned with salt, to the point where that was the only flavor I could taste. The sandwich was also loaded with mayonnaise, which made it feel very heavy and greasy. Combined with the salty pork, it ended up tasting like mostly fat and salt. The bread didn't seem particularly fresh or house-made either, which made the overall experience even more disappointing given the price. I hate leaving negative reviews, but for the cost and quality, this was not a sandwich I could finish, let alone enjoy.
