My husband and I have not been out on a date for a long time and we really wanted to try a spot that we've never been to before plus, we were in the mood for pizza. A friend of ours recommended Santora's at the Galleria Mall and I must say, we were not disappointed. I had the garlic knots and the classic medium pepperoni pizza and my husband had a Cesar salad with chicken and a buffalo chicken pizza. The garlic knots were very spongey, crispy, and perfectly flavored with buttery herby crust paired with their marinara sauce was an experience I will never forget. Having them with a taste of my husband's Cesar salad paired with the dressing was also very tasty as well. Then there are the pizzas. The ratio of crust, to the sauce to toppings was perfect and not too overwhelming. The pepperoni was burnt around the ledges which added an extra crispy element that was very much enjoyable. My husband's buffalo chicken pizza was very delicious, the crust was perfectly crispy. There was also not too much buffalo sauce which in this case was nice that it did not mask all the rest of the flavors on the pizza. Paired with refreshing draft beer, you will never leave hungry. An experience that was worth getting out of the house and will satisfy your pizza cravings. Highly recommend and our meal deserves 5 stars. read more

I ordered the chicken Milanese at the transit road location and it was one of this years best meals and figured I'd order it at the same thing at th Walden location as well and it was possibly one of the worst dishes of all dishes of all time. It had so much balsamic on it it looked like a BBQ sandwich and it had zero breading on it. The poor waiter had no idea what the problem was, because he probably was thrown into the fire with little training and was one of only two people working the entire restaurant. The place is awful in every way and if not for the location would be out of business, because no one comes back tot his place a 2nd time. How 2 restaurants can be owned by the same person and be so drastically different is hard to imagine. The manager & cooks at this place all need to be fired. read more

Since our favorite pizzeria closed(Bozanana's) we have been in search of garlic Parmesan wing. At last, our search is over! Just the right amount of garlic oil, then sprinkled with spices and Parmesan cheese after being fried to the perfect crunch! Finger licking good!! The pizza was also very good. Definitely returning and soon . The carrots and celery were crunchy and very fresh with excellent blue cheese dressing. The staff was courteous and very friendly. Tried two cheese/pepperoni slices. Sauce and pepperoni are very similar to Santora's on Clinton/Transit (cousins of the family) but dough is very different. It is a lot thinner and almost crunchy. This cafe location doesn't put the "zest"/"dust" on top either. Prices are a bit cheaper and building is very modern and clean, it is beautiful inside with a nice patio outside. Overall not bad and I would get it again if passing by - tough to beat the original, though. read more

if i could give this place no stars i would. went there last night with my boyfriend before a movie. brooke was our server (if u can even call her a server) it took a half hour to get my drinks that were god awful then another 20 minutes to get a replacement drink and she even stated that she forgot about our drinks and to bring them over. we had some guy clear our plates and present us with the check. food was okay. i'm a server so i know how things are supposed to be done. but they were NOT busy so there is no excuse for such terrible service. very disappointed. read more

Absolutely Terrible Went there for a bite to eat after class. Didn't even look open...... had to wait Atleast 20mins to be waited on, ordered a salad.... One of the worse salads I have ever tasted! Chicken was undercooked, salad tasted freezer burnt and dressing wasn't even cold. I don't understand how you can mess up a salad For $13 take your self to Wendy's and get 2 salads for the price of this one. read more

I've tried a handful of things on the menu. It's hit or miss. The people are great and friendly, but kind of slow service. Pizza was okay but i will say they had the best honey mustard wings I've tasted so far. Still a nice place to get lunch though. read more

This place is great. I live in Cleveland and come to buffalo a lot for work. I always stay at the double tree across the street so I can eat here. Great service and Beer selection is awesome. Haven't had an item on the menu I haven't liked yet. My favorite so far is the steak and chicken bomber sub. read more

LOVED this place!!! The Cup & Char pepperoni pizza is amazing!!! The mild wings are also a must!! The season fries with cheese sauce is the best I've ever had. Horrible customer service from Manager. They screwed up order, left a order of wings off the order. Tried to charge delivery fee for them to be taken across the street. When they did deliver wings were under cooked. Santora location on Walden Ave. The exterior. This restaurant is located in a split use building. There is offices for some sort of business to the right, what looks like a produce company in the back while they occupy the left side of the building. The building itself looks well maintained with a nice all glass and stone front. Winter was not kind to the parking lot, be warned. The interior. Upscale for a pizza place. Nice appearance with neutral tones and dark wood. The place was immaculately clean. The dining room is smaller than it appears from outside as it only goes inward a short distance from the doors, the left third is closed off in some sort of banquet room and the right side is dominated by a long glass topped wooden counter. A large monitor behind the counter circulates specials and several large preprinted poster boards hold the menu. The large counter conceals a sub station. The whole decor was somehow ... off. Is this a pizza place or an Italian restaurant? The menu itself didn't help. It's also half pizza joint/ half Italian restaurant. The order. The young lady who appeared out of a hallway behind the counter (no sign of the actual kitchen) after about a minute was very nice. She wore the standard pizza place black polo. ball cap and apron. I was half expecting a tux. Unfortunately she also had her long hair up in a white mesh restraint. I should have been happy to see the extra effort beyond health department regulations but honestly all I could think was 'past hair in the food complaints'. Hazards of being in the Industry I guess. The word pizza is in places name so that's what I went with: pizza and wings. The upscale Italian restaurant feeling was back... this place is EXPENSIVE! The pie: 18inch cheese and pepperoni, cut in eight wedges. It looked great in the box, full cheese coverage, lots of pepperoni and a sprinkle of dried herbs on top. The crust was a standard buffalo style, hand stretched, double rise, thick bread like pizza dough. Baked on a tray and then 'decked' right on the oven stones to finish. It was crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. A fine base for a pie. Thumbs up. The pepperoni was the standard 'cup and char' pepperoni that every buffalo pizza place uses. A bit greasy, but that's expected. The cheese. Mozzarella of course. Good coverage, gooey and stretchy. Clearly a quality whole milk mozzarella and given the way it melted, I suspect shredded from the block in house. The sauce... the sauce? Perhaps someday Governments will get serious and tackle some important issues - outlawing using canned tomatoes paste, dried garlic and herbs, watering it all down and calling it pizza sauce for example! I get why pizza places think it works, after all what is pizza sauce but reduced tomato sauce with garlic and herbs anyway? Here's the thing - canned tomato paste is reduced to paste before it gets canned. The extra heat and pressure of canning way over cooks it and makes it bitter. Unless you do some serious doctoring, it's always going to taste like canned tomato paste! Dried herbs are fine to use, but they require either heat or an oil to give up their essential oils and thus full flavor. Fifteen minutes in a pizza oven isn't enough time for that. Dried garlic might smell like garlic but it won't taste like garlic unless it's got oil or fat and time or heat to release its flavor. This sauce was just bad. It was made cheap and tasted cheap. It ruined what would have been a nice pie. Thumbs down! The wings: 10 hot wings, served with carrots, celery and blue cheese. They were all good sized and meaty. Well cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Clearly not brined but I'm willing to bet they were air dried on a rack before cooking. The sauce was butter (or more precisely that industrial margarine everyone uses) and Franks hot sauce, a buffalo standard. This one was doctored up a bit and had an excellent little something else to it. Very nice. The carrots (baby not sticks) and celery were fresh and crispy. The blue cheese... I don't know what this concoction was... but I know what it wasn't. It wasn't any brand name, mass produced, bottled salad dressing that is usually served up with wings! It was thick and creamy and sweet and salty with large chucks of blue cheese and it transformed a good wing into... oh mama! They give you a large container of this amazing blue cheese which really is more than enough. Yet I found myself wanting more. Thumbs way up! In summary: ignore the odd not quite a pizza place and skip the pizza, there's better for a better price, Go For The Wings! Order extra blue cheese. You won't NEED it, but you will WANT it! read more

I have been to this restaurant to eat and was not disappointed. However this evening my husband stopped and got take out for dinner after soccer practice with our granddaughter. He brought home a royal sub and a antipasto salad. The sub was horrible ..... seemed like it has been sitting around for a while although he ordered when he got there. The roll was soggy and the lettuce was brown..... there was so much mayo and Oil it was impossible to eat. I threw it away. The antipasto, although my husband liked it, did not contain much lettuce and what little was there was spring mix. I has to add my own iceberg lettuce to make it eatable. The Italian dressing was all oil, so no taste. I will not order takeout again. read more
