    Cheese Burger Little Savage

This place is so great! My friends brought Savage Tacos out for their wedding reception and everything tasted so delicious. Chicken Jerk Tacos - My friend said they were spicy but I didn't really feel any (I'm a heat seeker that burns my tastebuds off on a regular basis). So if you're sensitive to spice and heat, just be aware! Asian Wonton Tacos - Very delicious! Honestly could have eaten another order of these. The wontons are delicate so I recommend getting a fork to help eat it once the shells break. Carne Asada Fries - I'm a fan of brunt cheese, so the crispy burnt cheese in the bottom of the tacos was a great touch. Lots of umami flavor in one bite between the cheese, carne asada, sauces, and onions. These fries were great for sharing amongst a group of people. Enjoyed everything that I ate, would eat here again if I were to see Savage Tacos in the future!

Patty was so attentive while taking all of the orders with all the different dietary restrictions. Love the asada tacos, I ordered along with the fries were so yummy. The Dr Pepper was cold enough didn't require any ice. All the food is made to order totally worth the wait. If you see #savagetacotruck stop and support a local taco....

We love food truck especially when they don't cost an arm and leg to fill up our tummy! Everything from this truck is fresh and reasonable, 3 tacos for$10-11, small order of fries $3, large order of fries $5. Their menu is very diversed and well incorporated with many ethnic foods. We had asian wonton taco and fish taco with large order of garlic fries. It is a quite tasty dinner for a hump day while watching Dodger game on TV. My week suddenly seems better! Asian wonton taco 3 for $10, crunchy wonton shell with kimchi grilled chicken, tangy and slight spicy of wasabi and ginger aoli, fresh coleslaw are very tasty. Fish taco 3 for $11, fried cod with cabbage , cilantro and lime. The fish is well cooked and moist. Garlic fries... nothing fancy but it definitely takes me to the ball game! Who does not like fries... crunchy and fluffy, salty, garlicky... yum!

Event Menu during LA Comic-Con Dec2021

I recently had a chance to try this taco truck during the LA Comic-Con Event. Surprisingly, it was the shortest line among the options of ten to twelve other food trucks. It may have been due to the number of people and not knowing what line is to what truck. Anyway, after looking over the event menu, I decided on the Jerk Chicken Tacos with "authentic Jamaican jerk" seasoning. The wild fish and carne asada tacos sounded just as good. Prices were higher than expected, but it was okay considering the event and location. After a few minutes of waiting for my order, I found a spot to sit and start munching on the three tacos. I may have been extra hungry, or these were some tasty tacos, but I couldn't stop scarfing each one down. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The aioli sauce added a nice savory note, and fresh onions and pico added texture. A toasty tortilla held in the ingredients nicely. Only thought is that it needed more cheese. If the lines weren't too long after finishing my three tacos, I might have gone back to try the Wild Fish Tacos. Hopefully, next time! Still props to the friendly and hard-working staff during this LA event!

Taco Tuesday fun with Savage Tacos! So impressed! The fish tacos are fantastic!! So crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Everything tastes so fresh and homemade. For example, they make their own cilantro lime crema and it's divine. I also ordered a side of garlic fries. I could smell the delicious garlic all the way to my apartment and could not wait to eat them! These garlic fries are no joke! Wonderfully garlicky and a nice kick to them! Very friendly service, and quick too. I only waited about 5 minutes. Lots of fun menu options, and they are vegan friendly as well. I would definitely eat here again!

We are very lucky that we have opportunity to order street food on our campus, where we get different food trucks weekly during our lunch breaks, so I was excited to try Savage Tacos food, since they had vegan labeled food on their menu. Upon pickup, that excitement was definitely not there anymore. First, wait time will be very long. I ordered food trough their online service, 15 minutes later received a message that food was ready to be picked up, so I quickly ran in between my meetings to grab the food. When I got there, the line was so long and all these people were waiting for a pickup, only few to actually make a new order. So their automated system is not based on the actual status, it is estimated. Since there were only 2 people working, one to prepare the food and one to take new orders and hand ready orders, wait time, even after receiving message that food was ready, was additional 30 min. Now, they can note how they can not control that automated system ... but they can definitely control on how many orders they accept immediately and estimate prepare time. I can see how sometimes that could not be a huge problem, however when your truck is providing a service on the commercial lot and not public street, people are running in between the meetings, you need to either come prepared with more people, to be able to deliver the food during rush lunch hours, or fix your automated system, so message is not sent if food is actually not ready for a pickup. Now, the food. Presentation itself seems good. When ordered online, I ordered meal that is labeled vegan, so no animal products should be included. However, upon arrival, since preparation was delayed, when I asked if my food was ready, she asked me if I want dairy cheese or plant-based cheese. Thank you for asking, but if tacos were labeled vegan on your menu and I ordered them online without options to choose, cheese should be plant based. That makes me question if my food was ready in time as per the automated message, and I came to pickup the food, if cheese would be plant-based or dairy. In such a rush, and with so many backorders, I am not confident that they would not make a mistake and that can be very dangerous, since some people are not only plant-based by choice, they actually have dairy intolerance and certain allergies. Additional item in my order was garlic fries, and if you are vegan, do not order these fries, they taste like fish since they use the same oil as fish. Overall pretty disappointing experience, but 3 starts for the presentation and jackfruit meat in taco that was done well. If you are looking into providing a 5-star service, either add another person to your team, or accept only orders that you can deliver in respectful timeframe, specially if you are scheduled to provide your service on the campus. Also, if you have products labeled vegan, make sure they are really vegan ( dairy cheese is not to be added in vegan labeled food) and please have a note that you are using same oil for fish and fries. That is a huge food quality issue.

Very nice mobile truck service with tacos, burritos, assorted fries, breakfast burittos, and burgers. They have wild fish, jerk chicken, and Carne asada tacos, and I ordered one of each. They come in soft tortillas which were pretty good. The fish was really good, better than I thought it would be. I thought the chicken was a bit too spicy but still good, and the steak was good too. Overall good taste and friendly staff. They are stationed in Long Beach but I think they have 3 mobile trucks. This one came to Chino Hills. The food was a tad pricey imo, but I guess that is probably the norm today. It cost around $14.00 for 3 tacos. Overall rating 4 stars. I will eat there again for sure.

This truck was parked in front of my apartment complex and there was a good amount of people in line and waiting for their food. In total, I spent about 50 minutes between getting in line and receiving my order of carne asada tacos. This might seem like a long time, but I have to say the food was definitely worth the wait. I got one order of the carne asada tacos and they were absolutely packed with flavor. Not only did the cheese, corn, salsa, and other toppings add great flavor, but the meat itself also carried its own weight. I was completely satisfied with the amount of food I got and would 100% order from here again. Just make sure not to order when you're already really hungry and it will be perfect!

Was worth the price and great paired with beer. For SoCal locals, doesn't beat any SD Mexican restaurant or food truck, but was good for the location and limitations in street food for the area. We got loaded fries only though, so I can't comment on the actual tacos haha. Fries were a great snack to share.

Gave them another shot and tried the burger this time since the chipotle chicken wasn't available at this time. Not bad and maybe I just had an off day with the fries that I got last. Y'all still solid in my book so I recant my last review and give y'all a solid 4 out of 5. My only critique is the politic talk while I'm getting food with other customers about F trump this and Democrats that. Let's just eat and be merry can we xD

Jerk chicken tacos and Caesar Salad

They catered our staff appreciation for the second year in a row. I look forward to their tacos. Last year I got their tacos de asada and garlic fries and they didn't disappoint. This year, I tried the jerk chicken tacos and a caesar salad. Chicken was tender, slightly spicy, and delicious. Their Caesar salad was fresh and delicious as well. Generous portions! And they are super friendly and kind!! Definitely recommend and I need to hit them up again soon!! Thank you Savage Tacos

The taco food truck serves mainly in the long beach area. They have a very simple menu for food, and I've tried their carne asada tacos, seasoned steak, corn, pico, cotija cheese, cilantro lime crema, very tasty and recommended, it costs about $15 for a meal.

They're known for their handmade flour tortillas that have an amazing bite to them. They were just awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand award this week for their excellent, affordable food. One thing that I appreciate about their tacos is that their meats have varied textures. The costilla (rib meat) is a crowd pleaser as you get the taste of the grill/charcoal. They have tripe that is crispy with corn nut texture. Cabeza (face meat) has a stewed texture. Unlike most places in LB, there is two hours free parking conveniently located across the street at the Harvey Milk Community Lot. This is easily one of the best options for tacos in Long Beach and, if you haven't had it yet, then you really should! This is the type of place that we need to support!

We ordered caramelos with the poblanos inside, as well as their horchata. Tortillas are some of the best I've had. Super soft and flavorful from the grill. The fillings and salsa were good too, but it was really wet, and the bean ratio especially compared to the meat, was a little off. Always am going to want more meat. Horchata was unique since it was coconut based. Overall solid spot with patient staff. Tacos La Rueda is still better, but will be back when in Long Beach.

My go to is the sampler to get a little of everything. The cochinita pibil is one of my all time favorites and the mole poblano. Absolutely delicious!! The service here is good. We didn't necessarily have a great experience though. They messed up our order and we never got it fixed. We just happened to be there when there was a big party there too and it seemed like staff was a bit flustered. I told the workers about our order and they just forgot. We waited for over 15 min and when I went up to ask again, they realized they had forgotten about us and hadn't made our correct order so we decided to leave it and just go. Regardless of that hiccup, the staff were very friendly and they were apologetic about the situation. I would come back for sure and give it another try. The Boyle heights location has always been on top of it and I've never experienced a bad visit so I wouldn't say this location is bad off of one visit. The space is small and has inside and outside seating. We tried to eat outside but that bigger party took up a lot of the seats out there. They have a beautiful mural inside too and we luckily got a table. Overall, guisados is a must and I'm happy there's a location closer to me now.
