We love the food here and have been coming every week for the past few months, but we will not be returning after a terrible experience today. Every week we've had the same waitress and she is very rude, impatient and disrespectful talking about customers tips and attitudes after they had left. My dad had put his name on the list to wait for a table and when asked for his phone number he stuttered and the rude waitress made some comment to him that he didn't know his phone number. Already off to a bad start we waited outside for the call for a table for over 30 minutes and when we had gone back inside to check on it they had crossed our name off the list. We wasted over a half hour waiting to be sat to find out they had just erased our name immediately after. Will 100% not be returning back if this waitress is still there. read more

Went in around 1pm for breakfast but then I found out they only serve breakfast till 11:30....so I went with the Reuben with a side of potato salad....both were good...the Reuben had a shredded type of texture and was tender....it also had a good tasty dressing on it.....only bad thing was the portion size...it didn't seem like there was much for corned beef on the sandwich and the potatoe salad was super tiny....When I say super tiny it probably wasn't even half the size of a large potato...it would probably be suitable for a 3 year old but not an adult ..would give 5 stars but portion sizes drops them to 4. read more

When moving to Hamburg, this restaurant was recommended to me over and over again. So of course we had to try it. Everything is SO good. They have a super cute garden in back in summer. IM assuming that's where they get the veggies from in seasonSpeaking of veggies, try the Farmers Daughters omlette. The veggies are SO fresh. It's hard to choose just one selection from The home made bread list. Also check out the walls for the specials. There's always soemthing seasonal and extra yummmy. This place is always packed, and for good reason! Anything you get here will be very much worth the wait. Open for breakfast and lunch, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I don't venture out to Hamburg all that much. I should. Went to Savory's for breakfast Saturday around 11am. There wasn't a wait and there were a few tables open. My mom and I both tried the special they had- two potato pancakes, your choice of eggs and your choice of meat. I had scrambled eggs and bacon, my mom had over easy and bacon. It was $8.99 each. It also came with applesauce and sour cream for the potato pancakes. Extremely good. Can't wait to go back and try more. The coffee was delicious too. The service was great. read more

We came here on the perfect Sunday morning :) Blizzard kept the crowds down to a minimum, so we were able to get a table immediately!! Our meals were delicious. It's a walk in and seat yourself kind of place, which I like. I love that they offer so many seasonal specials as well as the common favorites. We came in for breakfast and absolutely loved that we got to watch The Price Is Right. Our waitress was AMAZING and I wish I could remember her name because she deserves a shout out. We got two breakfasts to share: the apple cheesecake french toast (which I'm still talking about to this day) and the huge breakfast that comes with everything (potatoes, eggs, meat, toast andddd two pancakes). The French toast was to die for and I wish I had kept it all to myself. The other breakfast is where they lose a star because the potatoes seemed old and the scrambled eggs seemed as if they were scooped out of a pan and possibly been oxidized with the metal (the coloring could have also been the blueberries from the pancakes). The pancakes were also just basic and boring after having a bite of the french toast. All in all, a great deal for the dollar and put some effort in to reading the specials boards ( I know they can be overwhelming). read more

Savory's is somewhat of a staple in Hamburg. When you ask the locals where they like to eat breakfast it's almost always suggested. So we've been here twice and the service is terrific. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. They have a garden in the back that provides some produce for the restaurant. The first time I went, I got one of their Bennys. It was delicious! Not quite at the level as Polked Yolk in West Seneca but still fantastic! This time around I got the Poco Loco which had chorizo sausage and vegetables with potatoes and eggs. The vegetables were so fresh and flavorful. The chorizo though? Terrible. So dry... it looked and tasted like rubber. Shame. I will be back to try some of their cheesecake stuffed French toast and possibly some of their lunch menu! read more

This spot is brand new. Breakfast served at all times. Very good neighborhood menu. Lots to choose from. Servings are generous, and a very good value. I had a mushroom burger, that was terrific. Perfectly done. Fries very good. Motif is 50's diner, and that is well represented. Different dinner specials each night. Companions had Turkey clubs a roast beef and gravy....they each completely enjoyed. We will definitely be back. I've been here numerous times since we moved to Hamburg, and while the service is usually pretty good, the food has always just been OK. We've gotten the breakfast sandwich, various omelettes, corned beef hash, pancakes etc., so I feel that we've tried a variety of their offerings, but we still haven't been WOWed by any of them so far. We were actually very disappointed with their biscuits and gravy because the sausage gravy just didn't taste authentic, nor was it nearly enough for the amount of biscuit. The gravy tasted very bland... and a little too healthy. This is not something I normally complain about because I typically like healthier versions of food, in fact - I am giving Savory's 4 stars instead of 3 stars because I like how my omelettes don't come soaking in a puddle of grease. BUT, when one orders biscuits and gravy, one obviously is not considering any health factors here. Just make the darn gravy with lard and don't be stingy about it cause nobody wants to eat a dry biscuits with not enough gravy. The service is usually good, and tables aren't hard to come by as they're pretty speedy and efficient. It's no comparison to "Sophia's" but I'm glad it's around as i'm always supportive of local businesses. read more

I was told they were cleaning a booth, then asked if my whole party was there. we were waiting on one who was 10 minutes away. we were told they could not seat us until everyone was there. I informed the waitress my sister was 5 mins away at that point, I'm pregnant and my toddler was in my arms. I asked can we please sit down at the table we will order right away. i was told no again and not offered a seat elsewhere. My family and I left since I was treated so poorly. I think they could have made an exception knowing the situation and also informing them we were ready to order right away. It also was not their usual busy since Ive been there before. I've lived in the Southtowns for over a year now and had never heard of Savory's. My girlfriends suggested we meet for breakfast there and I was excited to try something new. This place is hoppin. On a weekday morning it was packed. People constantly coming in and out. Happy customers entering and exiting, one after another. Their menu is impressive. Lots of specials. But of course being me, I ordered basic eggs, toast and hash browns. Despite the crowds, we were seating quickly and the service was spectacular. My food was delicious. (My only complaint is that my hash browns were too crunchy. Next time I'll get the home fries) Worth mentioning that my toast was awesome. Wow what a pleasant surprise. Stopped in to grab a quick lunch at what seemed to be, from its exterior, a simple small town diner. Boy was I in for a treat! This place is like going to grandma's house for lunch. As you walk through the doors you are greeted with the aroma of fresh baked pies and a large chalk board which displays the daily specials which are in addition to the regular menu. The staff here is extremely friendly and engaging to the point where you begin to wonder if you are family. I started with a cup of ham & white bean soup. Delicious! I decided on one of the daily specials the Kielbasa & Pierogis with sautéed onions. This particular polish traditional dish was authentic and far surpassed my expectations. Afterwards, I couldn't resist the urge to try the blue & blackberry pie that just came out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of fresh whipped cream to top it off. All the specials are written on huge blackboards on two walls, they're usually featuring 3-4 varieties of Eggs Benedict. They'll keep you coming back to try new things--like the many varieties of eggs benedict--and they seem to do a good job (especially for the price) with what they cook. :) I had the corned beef, eggs, and home fries with a biscuit and side of sausage gravy. The corned beef was homemade and fantastic. Hash browns were alright. Biscuit was nice and dry (technically that's how a good biscuit is done in the south) and gravy was good too. I met a friend and her boyfriend here for breakfast yesterday around 9. We were able to find a table right away. The server was nice. They had many breakfast options and specials to choose from. I ordered the salted caramel banana bacon waffles. There was bacon inside of my waffles, sliced banana on top of my waffles, and salted caramel sauce on top. I ordered a side of hash browns. They were just okay. The coffee was regular diner coffee, nothing to write home about. (I prefer much stronger coffee.) There was a mistake with my bill. The server was very nice about it and refunded my money. (I should've looked at my bill more thoroughly before I had her run my card. She accidentally charged me for an extra coffee. This was after I asked for a separate check.) There isn't a waiting area. Once you're in the restaurant you're waiting right on top of people, or you're waiting in between the inner door and the outside door, or you can wait outside. I stopped in the the 1st time today. It was 20 minutes before closing time. I ordered the pot roast and it arrived in 5 minutes. It was delicious and melted in my mouth. It was perfect and even better than my Mom's and she is a great cook. I've never had such tender roast beef. The gravy was delicious and homemade. Mashed potatoes and carrots were also great.
