    Repaired Garage Disposal
    Kay W.

Scott Harrison plumbing and heating is the number one plumbing service and the Long Beach and surrounding area. Please ask for the best technicians that are Alex & Javier This amazing company has repaired my shower and today came to the rescue to fix my garbage disposal. I initially assumed that I needed my garbage disposal replaced, but this honest company did some troubleshooting and only needed to remove something that was stuck in the garbage disposal. Any other company would have replace the garbage disposal just to get a quick buck but these guys are the most professional and honest plumbing company I've ever used. If you're looking for an honest company that is truly professional and provides excellent customer service, please look up Scott Harrison plumbing and heating 10644 Rose St, Stanton, CA 90680 (714) 695-5566

    Damage done by the plumbers
    Mao T.

I used Scott's services once before for a leak in an exterior pipe at my home. I liked their services so when I discovered a leak coming from one of the walls in my garage, I called them again. I'm not sure what happened between the first time they came out and the second, but the quality of their service was absolutely horrible. We were sent Jaymes and his assistant. They arrived sometime around noon and started searching for the leak. Jaymes was SO convinced that the leak was coming from the second story so he cut a hole in my living room ceiling. That was fine since the flooring in the living room was completely damaged at this point so it was a logical cut. He didn't find anything in the ceiling but then came to the conclusion that the water was likely coming from the master bathroom toilet. He said it was necessary to remove the toilet so I approved. It turned out, nothing was leaking there but the flange was not installed correctly so he ended up fixing that for us. All this was fine but it seemed like Jaymes wasted so much time running around the house sort of scatter brained and flustered. He had his assistant keep searching for the source of the leak and told him to cut a hole in my garage wall next. He somehow forgot that the garage walls are fire rated so there's a sheet of plywood behind it. His assistant didn't know either so he was stumped on why it wasn't an easy cut. They were unable to cut the drywall and just left a mess behind in the end. While all this was going on, they had the water line running so the leak started to seep through the garage wall again. The assistant and I saw where it was coming from and let Jaymes know. I'm not sure why but he didn't cut anything in that area to look for the leak. After he ran around frantically some more, Jaymes told me that they needed to take a lunch but they would come back in about an hour. I ended up leaving as well since there was no plumbing at the house. At around 7:30pm, I finally got a call from Jaymes to tell me that they were unable to find the source of the leak and that they needed Scott's help and would reschedule to come back another day. I did not hear from the office the following day so I reached out to set up another appointment. I was told that Scott was unavailable until the following week. We wouod be without plumbing for more than four days so my boyfriend and I decided to search for the leak ourselves. My boyfriend got a stethoscope and we turned the water on. About 45 minutes later, we found the leak coming from the same place the assistant and I originally thought it was leaking from. We removed the cabinet ourselves and cut the piece of drywall. What took Jaymes over seven hours, we found in less than an hour. Neither of us have any kind of plumbing experience. The next day, I called Scott's office to cancel the next appointment since there was no need to search for the leak anymore and was treated with a condescending tone. I was told that Jaymes is one of their top technicians (really??). Then they charged me close to $2,000 anyways for work that was not completed. They completely destroyed my walls and overcharged me for the work on the toilet, yet someone who no plumbing experience found what they couldn't find after 7 hours of searching. I would be pretty embarrassed if I were them. Can't say I will ever work with them or recommend them to anyone ever.

They charge a $189.00 fee to come out on the weekend to pay their workers overtime. Way to take advantage of people. Horrible company.

Truly an Honest Review -…read more First off, The Water Heater Company fixed the issue with the pilot light on our Rheem Professional water heater, which had been going out after hours or days of use. This had happened in the past when we first purchased the unit about four years ago. At that time, I replaced the burner assembly and control valve, and the problem was solved. I never found out the exact cause, but it was fixed. Fast forward to today, and the same issue started happening again. Unfortunately, I was away on business, and my wife was home with the kids, getting tired of relighting the pilot every morning and sometimes multiple times during the day. We called The Water Heater Company, and their service and communication were excellent. After diagnosing the issue, they contacted Rheem and ordered replacement parts under warranty: the burner assembly and control valve. They gave us three options: replace the two parts under warranty, replace the entire water heater, or install a tankless water heater. Because this is a very expensive unit that otherwise works well, we chose to repair it. Here's my honest opinion. As a fellow tradesman, I understand that skilled work is expensive. Still, the labor charge of $800 felt very high for what was essentially a warranty part replacement. The first visit took about an hour, and the second visit took around 50 minutes. I understand there's drive time, phone calls, office staff, insurance, tools, and scheduling overhead, but it still seemed excessive. Maybe I'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who usually handles these kinds of repairs myself, but I was away for an extended period and needed the problem resolved. So I'm torn on the rating. Quality of work: 10/10. Professionalism: 10/10. Price: 4/10. In the end, though, I paid for peace of mind and have the issue fixed correctly than save a little money and end up with a possible poor repair.

She spoke…read moreto one of their plumbers to see, then gave me the number of that plumber and said I could call to coordinate and explain the issue better. I called and spoke to Matthew. He was super kind, courteous, and empathetic. I told him about how the previous plumber came in with a special wand tool, told us we had major gas leaks, that we needed to take care of it immediately, and quoted us $17,000 for it ($15,000 with "discount"). He also said "I normally have to report you to the gas company so they can come shut it down, but I'm not going to. You just have to make sure to take care of it right away." I knew that sounded insane, so that's why I looked for a second opinion, while also doing due diligence in case there was an actual leak. Matthew was apologetic, saying that's unfortunate. He asked straight up if it was Prodigy Plumbing, which it was! He said he doesn't like to bad mouth other companies, but that he's heard of similar situations from other people. He said he wanted to help me out, and would be there in 30. He was super warm. I asked if he didn't mind wearing the boot covers, that I had some in the home, and he pulled them out of his pocket because he was already prepared. He took his time to thoroughly explain what the process looked like. He also said they would do the leak test for free because he wanted to make the bad situation better and knew I needed help. We discovered that one of the shutoff valves was behind the stacked washer dryer, and the only way to access it was to pull them out. He said he'd likely need another guy to help with that, but they could come the following day. We booked. Matthew was joined by Richard and Robert, who were also excellent. Together they got everything done in a short time. Full leak test revealed NO LEAKS! I asked Matthew what the charge would be and he reiterated it was no charge, he just wanted to make sure I got this taken care of. I insisted but he stuck by his original offer. Needless to say, I have found my new plumbers. The absolute best experience I have had with a plumber thus far. Oh and as a bonus, after they cleaned everything up, Matthew took me to the main gas meter and pointed out a few issues. The earthquake shutoff valve wasn't properly mounted, and the pipes on the city side were hand tight. He told me exactly what I needed to do and who I needed to call for that, and gave me a rough estimate on price. Could not be happier with Beach Plumbing, they are the real deal.
