Roast duck isn't too gamey, in fact this place is the only place I'd eat duck meat. Chasiu is a do not order here, meat is so hard and very difficult to chew. Sesame ball is not great as I preferred a crispier and less thick mochi so I would not eat this here again. Service is not too friendly but I think they're just tired so ok I can live with this. Came here after Happy Together had a 40 min wait and older folks were in town from China were hungry. 7 of us with $2 @ for tea, 16 dishes of dim sum, roasted meats, veggies, chow fun, fried rice came to $270. It was a lot of food and really just average food with high prices, nothing stood out except for the bad service. We needed more tea and the lady said ask the men yet no men were around. The wait was very long, almost an hour and a half for brunch (but we were a table for 7). There was also some confusion on when our table was ready because they would call our table and then we waited another 20 mins to be seated. But the food was good. The green beans were delicious and the dim sum tasted fresh. I would've liked the option to have soy sauce on the side like other places do. But overall, food came out relatively fast. It was nice to try, but it was chaotic and at times overstimulating because it was semi-crowded inside. I would go again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there for dim sum. We had a big family dinner here just recently in a separate private VIP room. We weren't here during the Dim Sum hours, but were here during the lunch and dinner time which had a different menu and selection of food. The Chinese dishes were prepared with quality. The presentation for each dish was beautiful and creative. Keep in mind, this Chinese restaurant is mainly known for their seafood, especially lobster and crab. It's pretty bomb. We ordered the Geoduck clam and it was probably my favorite. You would eat it sashimi style. It has a nice calamari texture and it tastes refreshing but has a little salty cucumber flavor. It's apparently very popular in Seattle. My other favorite dish was the crab legs. The meat was moist and sweet. Probably ate like 9 of them. Service was good and fast. Sea Harbor might just be my favorite restaurant to get dim sum. The wait was over an hour on Easter Sunday. Their steamed chicken feet isn't as good as Lunasia. Everything else was pretty good. Unsure if the Soy Sauce Chicken was actually the same as the Concubine Chicken, I asked a staff member--only to be mocked. I was just at Seafood Harbour, not too sure how to start this off. I was seat right away, I heard it can be busy, but it was just me, I'm in San Gabriel for work. The waiter placed the ipad on the table opened to the menu, the waiter never said a word to me. After looking over the menu for 20 minutes, I had decided on some Dim Sum, when the waiter came back, I was informed, NO Dim Sum at dinner time.... OK, that would be have been nice to know when you placed the iPad on the table, since it does not say that on the menu. The waiter returned a couple of minutes later. I ordered the BBQ Pork and Crispy Tofu. About 5 minutes later the BBQ pork Arrived, a healthy portion too. I figured my Crispy ToFu would arrive next, after waiting 20 minutes I finally got the waiters attention, I was informed Kitchen Busy, I pointed to the BBQ Pork, and said, they cant be too busy since I have my BBQ Pork. The waiter asked if I wanted it heated it, and I said yes, he came about 2 minutes later with my BBQ pork, it was heated up (probably in a microwave.) But no Crispy ToFu. I started to eat the BBQ Pork, and about 15 minutes later, my ToFu shows up. THe food was excellent, no complaints, but the service was plain horrible. NO ONE stopped and asked if I wanted more to drink, the waiter NEVER asked how my food was, not sure if its the fact I was none Asian, and did not speak Cantonese. But so many wait staff, and "owners" walked past my table and never once how things are. I waited over 20 minutes after eating, for my check, I finally stoop up and I'm guessing one of the "owners" stopped and I asked for my check. Very solid dim sum spot! The restaurant opens at 10am on the weekends and there's already a line out the door before they even open so come early! If you are looking for unique dim sum items, this is the spot! For example, they have chicken and bitter melon rice rolls in additional to the traditional ones such as shrimp rice rolls. The star of the show for us was the durian pastry - very crispy on the outside and amazing durian flavor on the inside! They also have a fairly wide selection of desserts including egg tarts. There is a separate window by the front entrance if you just want to grab BBQ items to go. Seafood Harbor always has a line out the door. I always see crowds waiting when I drive up and down Rosemead Blvd. While off on a weekday, my boyfriend and I seized the opportunity of no lines to have dim sum here for a late breakfast. Surprisingly they have a bib gourmand, which usually depicts good quality or good value cooking. I disagree cause this was one of the pricier dim sum spots in the area, and the quality was at best average. Service was consistently negligent or poor. No carts here. Sadly. I prefer the dim sum restaurants with the carts. You get a piece of paper to mark your order. And they use a key where the pricing key is on the bottle left of the paper, so as you mark, if you aren't aware you can be marking pricey items. The sneaky pricing creep. So we had our paper filled out and waited for so long I had to waive the sheet in the air until someone came and got it. Normally ordering by the paper gets your food coming out around the similar timing but our food came out slowlyyyyyy and in batches. 2 items never came out and we had to ask TWICE before they brought them out, while some tables after us starting getting their food. Seating was also uncomfortable. My boyfriend's chair was so close to the person behind him, they couldn't help but bump into each other getting in and out of the seat. And my seat so close to their side door that I could smell the smoke outside, and a cold breeze. None of this is feeling Michelin Bib worthy. The tea and condiment charge was $2/person. We got Jasmine tea, but interesting the receipt says condiment when I didn't get any condiments. When they dropped off the tea it was like a really careless drop with the tea spilling out from the spout. We shared the following items: Deep Fried Sesame Balls ($5.38) - Flavor was mostly okay but a tad overcooked. An essence of burnt after taste. Pork & Shrimp Dumpling w Truffle Sauce ($7.38) - Fancy shu mai gone wrong. It was juicy but the flavors were awful. The alleged truffle was oily in texture. I'm not a fan. Steamed Rice Noodle with Shrimp ($7.38) - Decent. The steamed rice noodle could be softer and more delicate but the shrimp was big. House No. 1 Baked BBQ Pork Bun ($6.38) - One of the better items for the day, but average. Milk and Egg White Custard Tart ($6.38) - They came looking oval like my tarts got squeezed. A less sweet to the point of blandness of an egg tart. Pass. I like the original version elsewhere. Shrimp Dumpling ($7.38) - My boyfriend liked this one the most it seems. The wrapper was a nice thinness and chewiness to him. Pan Fried Savory Pancakes ($10.98) - Awful. So oily. I tried to take a bite and I spit it out since the texture tasted undercooked and I didn't want to get cooked. Overpriced, mediocre, and poor service. I came here with friends and had a really disappointing experience. The service was already pretty bad the staff ignored us most of the time, and raising our hands didn't get anyone's attention. But the worst part was when we tried to leave. A server literally stopped us from walking out and pressured us to leave a tip, even though tipping is voluntary and the service was lousy. It felt uncomfortable and honestly a little sketchy. I've eaten at a lot of dim sum spots in the SGV and never experienced this kind of behavior. And when the first dish came out the condiments aren't even out yet. I had to asked 5 waiters just to get some condiments. She even had the audacity to ask if I don't want to tip more to stay and help her wash her dishes. That comment almost made me crashed out. It's been a while since I last visited, and I would recommend this place for 10 AM dimsum to anyone looking to decide between 5 Star Seafood Restaurant and Sea Harbour simply because the texture, taste and presentation here is a couple of levels higher than the other place. The dining area is also much more cleaner from the tea cups to plates to flooring, over ambulance is much more alluring along with the wait staff's uniforms, you just feel you're at the right place. Food was excellent and staff was attentive; we ordered a ton of food, and when the two of us left, for a smoke break, they were so attentive they put a reservation marker on our table to let the packed restaurant know we were coming back. Most dim sums were at the large price. Only a couple were small prices (ie sesame ball and herbal jello). The har gow and siu mai were good. They were kind and happy to help with anything. The steak and mushroom was my favorite dish. It was savory and seasoned well. We also had salted fish fried rice and beef chow fun that did not make it into the photos but were good too! Seafood was very fresh, they even brought it to the table to make sure these are the items we would like for dinner before. The cheung fun... ooh that sweet soy sauce and clear yet reflective noodle roll - I knew I had to have another plate! One unique item that I enjoyed here was their red noodle rolls; it contained shrimp inside an oil stick wrapped in a big sheet of rice paper.
