Daily specials menu as of March 2025. The classic fish tacos are bomb, I always get 3 and so filling!

Great solid neighborhood staple! Their poke bowls are fresh and tasty. I usually take advantage of their daily specials, including the $2.22 Tuesday fish tacos-- large fresh fried fish and i like the green sauce it comes with, 2 tacos are filling for lunch. Also tried their Cajun salmon burrito and found that to be hardy and tasty. Free parking in the garage (entrance next to the restaurant, parking can be hard during lunch hours), also meter street parking and free parking on small side street around corner. Service is fast and friendly. Easy to order for pickup thru their website, including the daily specials. Highly recommend!

this review is for the poke bowl only. price looked decent at $13.99 for a small bowl and has a build your own option, but was not worth it. the cucumbers were pickled which added a sour taste to the bowl, most of the poke bowls I've had don't have pickled cucumbers. the fish did not taste fresh to me. the crab meat was also straight up from the can, unshredded. would not recommend. parking is rough in Culver city, I always recommend parking in the neighborhoods and walking over. paid parking garages are around for convenience

I ordered the fish and chips and a small clam chowder for delivery with one of the food delivery apps. The chowder was delicious and it came with a bag of oyster crackers. The fries were phenomenal and still crispy when I got them. The fries have some sort of seasoning/coating on them which make them even more delicious. The fish was good, mine were a little over fried because the batter had this light burnt taste to it and they were really golden in color. You get three big fish pieces and a lot of fries so a lot of bang for your buck. The fish and chips came with tartar sauce and a shrimp cocktail like sauce. Tartar sauce was really flavorful. The fish and chips also comes with a side of coleslaw. The slaw has some sort of sweet dressing it's not the mayo kind of coleslaw. This side is a nice bite of freshness to balance out the heaviness of the fried fish and fries. The slaw was packaged underneath the fish and chips...as in the coleslaw was placed in a cardboard to go box and then a piece of foil on top with the fish and chips. I would expect the coleslaw to come in its own little container so that was a bit unusual. Not great for delivery since if the box tilted the juices from the slaw would get everywhere but mine arrived unscathed. Overall, good food and priced well!

Don't sleep on Sea Salt Fish Grill! So many great options, speedy service, fantastic portions, lovely prices and super tasty grub! For real this spot made my day! The California Poke bowl had them flavors that just stick nicely to the tongue and the Cajun Salmon Burrito (Monday's special) had the mondo size and presence to make yea say "yuuuuum". Get over there, you couldn't be disappointed no way no how.

This place was totally a hit in one for seafood and the entrees we had were fantastic. Just coming from a car service in the area I was in The mood for fish and looking at the pictures they had on google maps and I was hooked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was nice and small, the service was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My partner and I got two different dishes and both were amazing! The fish was fresh and flavors of everything were great. The portion size is definitely worth the price that we were able to take some home. Definitely would recommend

This is one of those restaurants when they say "when you know you know!" Because of the delicious fresh food. Fast and friendly service with smile. I came after the lunch hour rush. It'd been years since I last visited the restaurant and the sea food is just as delicious as the last time I visited. There are six different seasons from the off the grill menu. I had the salmon with Cajun seasoning with sea salt rice and sea salt slaw. Their sea salt slaw is unique and tasty. Their tacos are a customer favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is indoor seating and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are high chairs with a neat bar if you want to seat and people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You will not disappoint. If you like some spice in your life? I recommend you try the Cajun seasoning.

So delicious, no garlic or onion in the Cajun seasoning surprisingly, which was nice because I was attempting low FODMAP. Love the daily specials they have, what a great deal!

Absolutely love this place for so many reasons. The first is the service, the staff are friendly and helpful with all the menu selections. There are many choices and fusions, there's something for everyone. Including the kids. Fun options like churos, and chicken for those picky kids like mine. My son said write a review mom, this place is 5/5 stars!! And he's 7! There's inside and outdoor seating options, with a big glass door that opens between the areas. Really nice for those sunny days and afternoons. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Friend and I came on a Saturday to satisfy a seafood craving. One great thing about this place is it doesn't get overly crowded with plenty of seating. It's actually not that big, but the mirrors make it looks very spacious. There is also free parking in the garage. The ceviche here does its job if you're looking for a refreshing way to kick of your meal. We ordered the Southern Fish Fry, which we thought was a great fish and chips entree. We paired it with sweet potato fries. If fish and chips is your thing, this wouldn't disappoint. I also ordered the Mahi Mahi from off the grill menu with the half garlic butter half cajun seasoning. It was the most aromatic seasoning of all the dishes and takes the crown of everything we've ordered. Overall we had a pretty decent meal with lots of leftovers. I ordered plenty of veggies on the side as well.

If i ordered build my own tuna poke, does the ahi tuna come already tossed in sauce? is it possible to get it with sauce on side instead?

Hi, Our Poke is the Hawaiian style marinated. But if you call the store when you order we can give you "raw tuna cubed" sauce on side most times. Depends on availability.

I live in Del Rey and I travel often on Venice Blvd at Sepulveda. Tamix is parked right in front of of the Shell station on Venice. You can see their bright lights from a 1/4 mile away. I'm always in a rush, so I never stop. Well tonight is my night. It was a bit cold and windy, but who cares - I get TACOS! There is always a line and folks sitting at the provided tables and seats in front of their truck. They have all your favorites, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gringas and even fajitas! My favorite and default tacos are always going to be the carnitas and carne asada. Right after that will be Al Pastor and Chicken. They also have lingua, tripe, cabeza as well as chorizo! While they take cards, bring cash, that's the best price. Card prices are a bit more. Their prices are clearly marked on the huge menu. Orders come out quick and help yourself to the condiments bar filled with limes, pickled onions, red and green salsas and sauces, radishes, and pico de gallo. The guys behind the grill are friendly and fast. They do a great job of keeping the area clean and keeping the condiment bar stocked. They have trucks all over LA. Check out their locations on their website or here on Yelp! I am coming back and want to try their burritos and tortas!

The atmosphere was relaxed, with full table service and great chips and salsa. We ordered a plate of fajitas to share and a shredded beef taco. Funny enough, I thought I was ordering a taco platter, but one lonely taco arrived on a bed of shredduce. Thankfully, it was excellent. I had ingested several bites of it, (with hot sauce), but I couldn't take another bite. The meat was chemically contaminated & I got sick not long after for the whole night. It was important for me to tell the person that runs the stand. I had the best of intentions to help this business and wanted nothing in return. I walked up to the stand & asked the woman who takes the cash, (with the sharp eyebrows), if I could please speak to the person in charge, (or owner). At first she ignored me & then said, "I don't understand - no speak English." I asked who speaks English and she sent me to the back of the line by the cooks. I stood there for another 10 minutes and no one wanted to talk to me or answer my question. I told them that there was a big problem with their meat the night before & had brought back the entire meal, so they could try the meat. No one did anything except talk to each other in Spanish, (which I understood). The cook graciously offered me a replacement meal & tried to problem solve. The tall man, who spoke English, (as shown next to cashier Karen in the photo), was going to give me a replacement meal. I waited 15-20 minutes. I asked for the chicken quesadilla, and the vitriol that came out of cashier Karen, who said she didn't speak English was unbelievable. She refused to give me any food and said I had to pay $6 for the replacement taco. I tried to tell her that it was a replacement and she kept yelling aggressively at me and said, "no - you pay $6. You're not getting anything " and that I, "never bought any taco." She became angry and verbally abusive because I was getting a replacement meal, as a solution to my getting chemically poisoned. She was a bully and aggressively yelling at me to humiliate me in front of the other customers & personnel. By this time she had no problem speaking English. (A group of young ladies started talking to me, felt bad that I was the focus of cashier Karen's rudeness. They complimented me & wished me a good night.) The guy next to cashier Karen handed me the bag with the quesadilla. I asked cashier Karen for her name and she ignored me. Then I asked the guy next to her what her name was and he put his hands together like duck lips and rudely opened and closed his hand at me, (meaning that I'm talking to much) This was extremely inappropriate & as soon as I left, I threw the food out, because I didn't trust or hold it past any of them to have put something nasty in my food. By the way, there was never a possibility that I would be refunded. By this time I was so upset, I was sorry that I had generously tipped them the night before. Even cashier Karen's response to the tip had been of surprise; but then I remembered she had not even acknowledged it or said thank you, after receiving it. What this staff does not, is that I owned and operated a successful fine dining restaurant & wedding venue for 17 years. I have done consulting for small restaurant businesses, pro bono, in order for the businesses to financially thrive. I know how food is cooked, how it should be stored, when the oil needs to be changed, marketing, accounting, et al., as well as the health dept's requirements, in order to keep the public healthy and well. What I believe happened to the meat and reason I took my food back to the taco stand; is because they had been out of chicken. Since there was a meat shortage, more carne asada needed to be barbecued quickly. An abundance of lighter fluid was used to quicken the process & it possibly got on the grill, where the meat is placed; and the cooking process started well before the coals were ready. It shouldn't matter whether you go to a restaurant, food truck or taco stand, customers should be treated with respect, kindness & consideration - and it's called customer service. A customer shouldn't be lied to, yelled at, insulted and humiliated by any employee of the business. It should be run in a transparent and professional manner. I'm 64 yrs young & have never written one negative comment or review about any restaurant. Nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect, malice and ill intent. I felt it important to tell my story because nobody should experience what I did; in eating compromised food and then being made to feel like I did something bad. This is what bullies do and I've never had a problem in clarifying right from wrong, as well as responsibility and accountability. I didn't have a choice and had to give a star.

It was fresh, incredibly flavorful, and beautifully presented. The watermelon aguachile was equally impressive, with bright, refreshing flavors that were perfect for a warm afternoon. Prices are what you'd expect for a rooftop hotel restaurant, but the quality and execution make it money well spent. The setting is what really makes Butterfly special. The covered outdoor dining area sits next to the rooftop pool, creating a true resort atmosphere. Once you're up on the sixth floor, it's easy to forget you're in the middle of Culver City. You can disappear from the city below for a few hours and just enjoy the atmosphere. On Sunday morning, after my daughter's wedding, our family gathered there for breakfast before everyone headed home. I had the open-faced omelet with wild mushrooms, poblano peppers, Monterey Jack, salsa macha, queso fresco, avocado, and micro cilantro. It was outstanding. I also sampled my daughter's pancakes and ordered a side of the smashed fingerling potatoes, both of which were excellent. The only hiccup came when the server accidentally dumped my side of breakfast potatoes into my brother-in-law's lap after the chrome fry basket tipped off the tray. He had already eaten elsewhere and had just sat down to visit with us, so it was an unfortunate way to say hello. The staff immediately apologized and brought out another order of potatoes, which was appreciated.
