I love seafood and tend to wait until I'm in Santa Barbara or San Diego for less expensive seafood- however, this is probably the best quality seafood with the best prices in LA! This time, I got the Cajun fish and chips combo and the north shore shrimp plate. This was about $38 which was not bad for the size! There are also daily specials, like Taco Tuesday or burrito specials on Mondays. This specific location is in Culver City in a pretty busy area. I paid on the street but I think there may be a validated lot nearby. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and staff was kind. Will definitely be back! read more

Seasalt Fish Grill is not very good. We will never be back. You order at the counter and you either pick it up or they will bring it to you. We ate there. It is pretty clean, but ever so uncomfortable. All the chairs are metal and that is not enjoyable in any way. They also have take away and delivery. They are not open for dinner. Most of their food is fish. My husband had fish and chips and it made him sick. They took clearly frozen fish, dipped it in batter and cooked the heck out of it, leaving the batter hard and the fish burned in some spots and raw in others, also part of the batter was still raw. He had 2 bites and in the trash it went. He still got sick from it. Now, I know they use frozen fish and that is fine, but you need to let it run under hot water or let it thaw before you batter it. The fries were not good. The cole slaw was okay. I had calamari and it was just awful. It also went into the trash. It was the cheap type large ring calamari and the batter was okay, but the calamari was ever so touch. I needed a knife and fork just to cut it. The service is average. read more

I usually take advantage of their daily specials, including the $2.22 Tuesday fish tacos-- large fresh fried fish and i like the green sauce it comes with, 2 tacos are filling for lunch. Also tried their Cajun salmon burrito and found that to be hardy and tasty. Free parking in the garage (entrance next to the restaurant, parking can be hard during lunch hours), also meter street parking and free parking on small side street around corner. I ordered the fish and chips and a small clam chowder for delivery with one of the food delivery apps. The chowder was delicious and it came with a bag of oyster crackers. The fries were phenomenal and still crispy when I got them. The fries have some sort of seasoning/coating on them which make them even more delicious. The fish was good, mine were a little over fried because the batter had this light burnt taste to it and they were really golden in color. You get three big fish pieces and a lot of fries so a lot of bang for your buck. The fish and chips came with tartar sauce and a shrimp cocktail like sauce. Tartar sauce was really flavorful. The fish and chips also comes with a side of coleslaw. The slaw has some sort of sweet dressing it's not the mayo kind of coleslaw. This side is a nice bite of freshness to balance out the heaviness of the fried fish and fries. The slaw was packaged underneath the fish and chips...as in the coleslaw was placed in a cardboard to go box and then a piece of foil on top with the fish and chips. I would expect the coleslaw to come in its own little container so that was a bit unusual. Not great for delivery since if the box tilted the juices from the slaw would get everywhere but mine arrived unscathed. Overall, good food and priced well! read more

Mushy fish, mostly the fry and even that was soggy. The salsas are boring too. Bit flavorless. My son liked his though and really loved the salmon taco. My husband got Baja chowder (underwhelming) and a Po Boy he said he did enjoy. We all shared parmesan fries which were delicious. Maybe it was just me or the day but I get the same fish taco at Rubio's, Baja Catch and Grill, Ensenada Surf n Turf, Best Fish Tacos in Ensenada, to name just a few and all are superior to these IMHO. This is a Service Shout Out! Ive been coming here often for their $2.22 Taco Tuesday Special. You get a very big piece of freshly fried fish with all the trimmings, slaw salsa and crema. I ate 4 the first time and was StuFFed! I just get two now and it is an incredible value and extremely tasty taco. Today I walked in and a customer was complaining about the wait for his food, (10 minutes!) and apparently asking for a refund. The owner was trying to explain the timing, but customer had a Drs appt and didn't "want to argue". The owner refunded his money, but mentioned it didn't seem fair. Now I didn't hear the whole story, but I was impressed the business did the right thing, even if the customer demanded the wrong thing. He later walked through the dining room , gave a couple smiles and a hello to some regulars. The last time i was here it was Packed at lunch. Sea Salt is doing something right for most of the guests! The fish and chips I saw today looked stellar. Ive had the calamari and its decent. A couple of beers on tap. Its all good. There are several tables inside and out, a few bar seats along floor to ceiling windows, a clean restroom and they bus your table for you. I was really excited to try this place. I live a few minutes down the street (literally) and was right on time to pick up the order when they said to come by. Drove 5 minutes home after pickup and the food was barely warm to the touch. The packaging for the Togo steamer with shrimp, potatoes, and sausage was in a Togo box (the plastic kind you'd imagine a burger to be in) and the plastic bag (like a grocery plastic bag) therefore no matter how steady I held the bag, it was bound to spill the seasoning and all the good stuff straight out the sides of the Togo box. I can't speak to in-house service here. But what I can say is that when I've shopped at other seafood boils and taken the order Togo, they've had a much better way of packaging the order to keep it hot and hard to spill before consumption. read more

I am only reviewing the Cioppino, everything else i've had here has been excellent. Ok, to start, the flavor of the base was extremely watered down which was a let down. They also added red potatoes in large chunks, which disintegrated and made the stew grainy, I got it served over fettuccini which made the carb load much too excess with the potatoes. This could have been a good dish, it needs to be reevaluated and I hope hey work on a better base. Other than that, I still live this place and will continue to come here.
