This is the first of my top three restaurants at City Centre on all fronts - service, food, and price. The ambiance is a little dark but the rest make up for it. Don't come here if you're wanting the hot new resto vibe. Don't come here if you're into molecular gastronomy and the like. The kitchen here delivers the flavors of the ingredients without over-complicating or over-salting their ensemble. The portions are small by Houston standards - or sensible. Those two things alone may make you wonder why you'd eat here and not just make something simple at home, but the execution is precise, and the service is impeccable, both of which form an enjoyable dining experience. We love Jessie and Jacob. We start with the crab and shrimp-stuffed mushrooms. It's simple and delicious. The Patagonian toothfish (that we all call Chilean sea bass even though it's really a cod) on a bed of wild rice here is a steal and is cooked to perfection. I specifically ask for the ginger sesame sauce on the side so that I'm not over-sweetening the dish. The lamb was also decent albeit a little charred. The desserts are also sm.. I mean, sensible. And my husband consumes water like a hippo but his glass stays full here, which isn't always the case at other establishments. Overall, Seasons52 provides a healthy and delicious dining experience where you leave feeling good. Definitely a favorite. read more

If you are debating booking their event room for a special occasion, PLEASE DON'T!!!!! RUN! This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, and I think this place should close down bc how are they still operating? I should've known when I came in at 5pm on a Friday and the place was virtually empty. I came for a family member's wedding dinner. Such a bad choice! WORST FOOD IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Food is extremely bland! Nothing seasoned or tasty! They arranged to have a 3 course dinner for $58- My first issue was when they would not let me order off the regular menu besides drinks. Makes no sense seeing that I'm still spending $ with the restaurant. THEN they had an extremely limited 3 course that was not worth over $25, let alone $60 plus gratuity. I had to choose between a small filet steak and a chicken breast. Steak with COLD mushrooms and bitter sauce, non-seasoned potatoes, non seasoned string beans; 1 word: DISGUSTING!!! Why would you even think to serve that? Why don't they season their food?! Omg! They made an exception to served me Mac and Cheese.. Some of the worst I've ever had! No taste. Even the salad was extremely underwhelming. Only thing that was fair was the dessert cups. My drink was also strong, but not tasty. I will say that one of the waiters, Issac provided great service & was super accommodating. He was the best part of the restaurant experience. At some point when the check came, we were all pretty confused-at $58 pp our total came to around $1400. Management came in and told us there's a 2k minimum for the room and we have to spend more money on their DISGUSTING food bc someone signed the contract and they have the pay their staff for bringing us the food (understandable, but are y'all not paying your staff? Why guilt your guests?) At that point we're all confused. Maybe, just maybe it would be more feasible if the food was better quality and we were full- but that's not that case. We asked MOD/bar manager Chris Hence (I believe) to bring us the contract that we supposedly signed saying that we had to spend $2,000 on their poor quality food. His demeanor and attitude is another story. He was dismissive and closed off and just unwilling to help overall, and was defensive the entire time. Does not seem like a person that should be in the hospitality space. When he could not find the contract that was supposedly signed, he let us close out with what we ordered plus 22% gratuity I believe. Cant even believe this place is even in business, the food was literally horrible and I will never be back. Had the opposite experience at Flemming's down the road, I recommend starting there! read more

Ambiance: came around 6PM and there was plenty of seating (although we made reservations). I would say the restaurant was a step above casual, but not quite upscale. Very intimate dining experience though. Service: I will say that our waitress Olivia was the bomb.com! Her service was exceptional, she gave wonderful recommendations and was just an all around sweetheart! A+ for the service! Food: I ordered the lobster flatbread and the Pepperoni/ tomato flatbread for our starters. The lobster flatbread was okay but the crust was a little too crispy- baked, almost literally like a saltine cracker. The pepperoni flatbread was really good but the tomatoes were a Little too big for my personal Liking. For my meal I got a surf and turf ( lamb chop and added a lobster tail). The lamb chops were good but the lobster was just okay, it just had a burnt after taste. For dessert I got the raspberry cannoli mini and it was just okay as well. My friends got the pecan pie mini's and really enjoyed it. Overall we had a nice experience with amazing service but I wouldn't rant and rave about the food I tried. It was our anniversary so we figured we would try something different. The restaurant is located in a really nice area with shops and restaurants. Valet parking was cheaper than expected and right in front of the restaurant door ($5). I loved the atmosphere of the inside. It was romantic, quiet and dark. Very intimate and perfect for our occasion. Staff was extremely friendly. Food was ok. There was definitely flavor missing in the stuffed mushrooms appetizer and Mac and cheese. They were both very bland. Mac and cheese texture was perfect though. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. The gravy over the potatoes made that dish 1000 times better. Absolutely loved everything here! From the wine to the flatbreads the specials and the dessert. I was just here for a company dinner in which they placed us in a private room area, loved it! The jam jar red wine is so delicious and they truly do have some of the best flatbreads I have ever had. The service was great and I loved the team effort approach with the staff that speaks volumes. I got their lobster tail, scallops, and Chilean sea bass special, and just WOW so much flavor I was very satisfied. After the experience here I am considering having my book launch here since they have private dining areas, I really liked that. I also loved how much they offered on their menu and all the wine and beverage options. There's for sure a little for everyone. They do have large plates, but that seems to be a very typical American thing ha-ha. But no complaints as I was very happy to have leftovers the next day :) I would say always make reservations to avoid waiting as it is in a busy area of town. The food was not heavy at all and we all enjoyed our time, we spent about 3.5 hours here but for sure the server made out. I am looking forward to my next dining experience here. read more

First time at Season 52 and it was a great experience. Our waitress suggested the Philly Cheese Steak Flat bread for an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Kona Crusted Lamb Loin for he's main course and it was so flavorful and had me wanting the switch entrees with him. I ordered the Filet and it was cooked perfectly but I really suggest the Lamb Loin if you are undecided. Great experience! Can't wait to return. read more

The service here really is amazing. Each staff member is so polite and patient, very forgiving and friendly. I came here for a birthday meal and was pleasantly surprised. The Lump Crab and Shrimp-stuffed Mushrooms were very flavorful. The shrimp was crispy and balanced out the mushroom and crab well. The gnocchi dish was tangy from the tomatoes, but wasn't something that I couldn't make at home. A pretty large portion size though! The lunch special flatbread and soup/salad deal is pretty worthwhile - the flatbread was very crispy and the asparagus soup was very creamy. The naked burger seemed pretty sad to me. read more

I was taken here as a celebratory dinner for my recent graduation and was not impressed. I am familiar with Seasons 52 as there is a Seasons 52 in my home state and I have hosted my birthday dinner here a few years ago. I'm not sure if there was an off night for the chef but my food was dry and the scallops was slightly over cooked. It was not bad at all, just wasn't what I was expecting as far as taste wise. The valet parking outside is always busy but they move fast to get you in and out. The waiter was very nice and attentive and gave us his recommendations. I even got a complimentary dessert to celebrate my graduation which was really nice and thoughtful. Although, this night wasn't the best, I will return because I know how the food has tasted in the past. read more

Kendra, the bartender, waited my wife and my table during off hours. "Perfect" falls short in complimenting her professionalism and affability. I asked for her recommendations at every step, drink, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. I also took every suggestion and was delighted with having cooperated with her. I strongly advocate that you visit Season 52. I more strongly encourage you to stop by the bar and meet Kendra. Tell her that Yelp sent you and that you read wonderful things about her. Folks, we live in an era when customer service is waning and entitlement is prevailing. Kendra deserves kudos, props, and tips! Kendra deserves the respect and appreciation that I am gushing into this post. Kendra makes you want to dine out. Chris, the manager, stopped by our table. He was gracious, elegant, and admirable in decorum. It is no surprise that Kendra works for him. In fact, its easy to see that excellence flows through staff at this store....at least the hostess, Kendra, and Chris but its not reasonable to believe that they are all three anomalies. It is only sensible to believe that Chris and management runs the entire store as I experienced it. The food is excellent, but hey, great food is everywhere. I hadn't visited Seasons 52 in years, and my recent visit was fantastic. I had the lamb loin, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mashed potatoes and broccolini paired well with the lamb, and I was really impressed that the whole meal (along with all other menu items) was under 520 calories. Additionally, I had the turtle cheesecake for dessert and it was also great. The only downside is that the desserts are comically small (which is probably how their respective calorie counts are kept low). read more

"Sweet Caroline Good times never felt so good" "Oh no, no...." Went on karaoke night, for another group that was right next to our meeting space.... Very interesting experience at Seasons 52. Went for a meeting that was in the Napa Room. As part of a series of unfortunate events, our room shared a wall with the Sonoma Room and their AV seemed to overshadow our speaker. We were able to sing along with all of their songs as there seemingly was no soundproofing between the two rooms. So our poor speaker struggled to speak over their singing as the AV went out in our room, her mic went mute and the AV screen went up and down as if it was possessed. At some point in the night, our group even burst into song. Dinner was okay, but not great. The flatbreads, the garlic pesto chicken and the four mushroom, were reliably good. The spinach salad with caramelized Bosc pears toasted walnuts and Gorgonzola cheese was delicious. The entree order, however, never was placed for myself and my friend which our servers realized as the other entrees orders were being served. So we got our main meal, chicken with a Yukon mash and roasted vegetables, right before dessert was presented. And so, we took our entrees to go. By the time the dessert flights were placed on our tables, the staff was so flustered that they forgot to let us know which "dessert shot" was what and so a guessing game began. Signature desserts, like the s'mores, key lime pie and pecan pie, were easy to figure out, but the rest, who knows. Date night last Thursday with a remarkable woman in my life, so I decided to take her to Season 52. Season 52 I City Center was a nice place to have dinner. The host(s) were charming as they sat at our table near the win bar. The server came over; I wish I had recalled her name. She was amazing as she attended to us and the other 2 tables. She visited us, ensuring we were good with the food and other things we may have needed during our meal. The food was incredible and fresh. We started with grilled artichokes and a crab cake. The artichoke was presented with a side of lemon hummus - both good starters. The wife was feeling a little full, so she went with asparagus soup and a sharable chipotle potatoes skillet, and I then had brick oven sea bass over wild rice...both dishes were perfect in portion and tasty. We had a bottle of Silk and spice red blend wine; I know red wine with fish, but we wanted red tonight. Desserts were hard to pass--dessert was served in a shot glass. We tried a tiramisu and a cinnamon crunch. It was excellent. We decided to order 2 other desserts (key lime mini and pecan pie) after we paid our bill, and our server comped us; that was a pleasant surprise to end the night. Season 52 changes the menu every season and tries to keep the dishes under 500. They also valet for $5, making it easy to find parking. Next, I will remember to take pics. read more

We had a really nice large-group dinner here recently where we rented out the private room at the back. Service was very efficient, attentive, and friendly and the food was great quality. I enjoyed their sirloin option with the mushroom sauce as my main plus the standard house mixed greens salad to start. The little dessert "shooters" were also a light and sweet way to end the meal. The private room is very spacious and has good sound proofing, which I assume works both ways so that the large party doesn't disturb the main room guests and vice versa. All in all, definitely recommend coming here for a nice evening or group meal. read more

We were looking for a nice dinner near Memorial City and came across Seasons 52. The prices seemed fair and there wasn't a long wait. We ordered martinis that were perfect and started with the crab cake. It was so good we ate it before we could take a picture! Then we got the Chilean Seabass and it was unbelievable. I have been coming here for many years when I lived nearby. I recently returned to have dinner with friends during the Covid Pandemic. Despite the Current situation with the service industry, I was pleased to see that this restaurant was affectively observing social distancing. There were hand sanitizers every where, at the bar and all the waiters and managers wore face masks. The food here is a good combination of a lighter version of continental cuisine. Most of their items are grilled or baked, and the entrees are all under 700 calories. Their service was quick and friendly. I am especially pleased to see that there was not huge increase in prices on their menu. The ahi tuna tartar, caramelized grilling sea scallops, lump crab cake and shrimp stuffed mushrooms, asian glazed Chilean sea bass, the wood fires grilled pork tenderloin and the truffle mac and cheese were all a hit with our small group. Food quality was good and the portion sizes were decent, not too small and not too big. I highly recommend this establishment. This has become my favorite spot when I want some really good food, with great prices for the quality. Everything seems so fresh. I got a medium rare lamb loin and the lamb was AMAZING. Some places lamb may have a strong, flavor, here it was so smooth and just fell apart so well!! I love the fact that their calories are listed and they have a lot of good options that are low calories. Not just salads! Last night I had dinner with 2 friends. Reservations were made for 7:30 PM. We arrived at 7:30 and were escorted by the hostess to our seats. Our server was Noah. He got our water and menus to look at and answered our questions. We each ordered a beverage and shared the grilled artichoke and hummus platter. Delicious. Noah took our meal orders. Caramelized scollops, filet of beef and Kona crusted wood grilled lamb Loin were our choices. All 3 were prepared well and the lamb loin was the right temperature for medium rare. Our company Christmas party was held here. Got there on time and had a drink at the bar to wait for everyone and was seated at the Time of our reservation. Mariah B was our waitress and she was phenomenal. She gave great recommendations on the entire menu, we ordered flat breads for appetizers and they were all great. My scallops risotto and broccoli was everything!! I didn't get dessert but I did have a couple of the vodka basil cocktails and they were delish. Love that everything is of low calories. We went to IKEA the day before my birthday, and my husband suggested leaving the kids at home and grabbing dinner out as an early birthday celebration. We didn't realize they closed 30 minutes after we got there, and they didn't tell us. They seated us with a smile. Oh my goodness, the best birthday dinner in years. Nikita was a super sweet server; I had the scallops and my husband had the steak. We shared and it was all amazing. The risotto... no words. My mouth still waters. The portion sizes were excellent, and it was all lower calorie compared to most restaurant food. They also had an excellent gluten friendly menu (which I am), as well as a menu for those dairy free or vegan. I can't say enough good things. We will be back! On an unrelated note... We shouldn't have to inhale and taste the perfume or cologne on individuals 10 feet or more away from us while at a restaurant trying to eat. Use less, people... seriously. read more
