Beautiful furnishings and service was on point. Food was equally on point. We had a burrata and rucola salads as appetizers that were delicious. Also had the fungo maitake which sounded good but was surprisingly the only "mistake" this night! It was just bland, unremarkable it needed something to make it flavorful or savory but was MIA. All Pasta is made in house! We had bolognese spaghetti, gnocchi, bucatini carbonara and salmone e lenticchie that were all very good. Cioccolato fondente and blood orange tart for dessert with cappuccino was great end to the night. And you have to order the "Who framed Roger Rabbit" special cocktail! The BOMB! read more

I went in with an open mind after seeing the reviews. I do not recommend at all. My pasta dish was not edible. I got the linguine and clams in wine sauce. There was no sauce, no flavor, very dry. Serena Pastificio is just amazing. Elevated Italian that is so fresh with a really interesting and fabulous menu. The manager shared with us that they even use organic ingredients when possible. The decor is beautiful, somehow, equally perfect for a romantic dinner or meeting with a group of friends. The service is knowledgeable and perfectly paced. We went for happy hour which had beautiful food, (smoked mozzarella is outstanding!!!) and well priced, well made drinks. We enjoyed ourselves so much that after our movie we came back for dinner, the sea bass is phenomenal, ditto for the focaccia served upon sitting. We bought a bottle of the private label Pinot Noir to take up to our movie and it is honestly the best Pinot I have ever had. I honestly do not understand why they are not on an hour waiting list every night. I don't want to speak negatively about other businesses while glowing up this one, but you can throw a stone from here and hit five Italian restaurants that are mediocre and yet busy. This is not your middle of the road meatball house but a truly elevated coastal Italian dining experience. Do yourself a favour, skip those others in the neighbourhood for a night and give Serena a try. You will be amazed how good it is. read more

This review id for the Boca Raton site, we were there a couple of days ago. It is a very nice restaurant, well designed, good atmosphere, excellent acoustics, but this was all inherited from the various previous venues that operated at this place. Besides that everything was very disappointing, drinks were off, food (we ordered the most basic pasta, spaghetti bolognese) was cold and tasteless, I requested salt and pepper, trying to give my food some flavor, the waitress acknowledged but never brought them!?? When the food came 15 minutes after ordering, we didn't have utensils or napkins, had to ask for them and it took some time for the waitress to bring them. My mom and my son and I recently enjoyed Sunday brunch at Serena Pastificio. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and super comfortable! The food was fantastic and the plating was beautiful! The menu items are very authentic and everything is freshly made from scratch. We had such excellent service from Mia and Elvira! They were both so kind and hospitable. Very disappointed with this restaurant. I have been excited to give it a try since it opened from their emails and marketing. When we arrived at 6pm there were a few people at the bar and only one family seated at a table. I should have known better from there. My husband and I sat at the bar in hopes of having a fast experience before catching our movie with iPic. We ordered the meatballs and 2 pasta dishes. It was so incredibly slow it took a full 45 minutes to receive our food. Not a smart location inside of an iPic when the service is that slow. Meatballs were good, but not the best. The bolognese pasta was okay but not good enough for me to recommend anyone to try. I ordered a gnocchi dish and there was a large piece of plastic in my food!! I ate it and it was stuck in my mouth and when I pulled it out I was in complete shock!! I could have choked. After that I refused to finish my dish. Will not go back. I wasn't going to compare this place to Tanzy (the previous restaurant) because Tanzy was my absolute favorite and I was so bummed to learn it permanently closed. Decor here is similar, just brighter. Bartenders and staff are friendly. Everything else was meh. The arancini was good, just more gooey inside than I'm used to for this dish. The insalata italiana needed a more flavorful dressing. The trenette al pesto was also lacking in flavor. Just bland. I appreciate it's made in house but I wasn't blown away to make me want to come back and try other dishes. The cocktails are limited as well as my margarita was way too sweet. read more

The ceasar salad tasted like it was one step below the Olive Garden, the broccoli rabe was hard and unflavorful, and the portions were meager. I will start off by saying the staff is very nice and attentive. I like the updated, fresh look compared to Tanzy but the food falls short. We started off with the octopus appetizer which lacked flavor and was very chewy. The arancini also lacked flavor and the outside was so crispy that is was tough to chew. For the main we split the truffle pasta which I wouldn't called truffle by any means. I buy canned truffle Alfredo at Whole Foods which is better. It has these crispy onions and leaks on top which didn't go at all. Also, there is no choice to upgrade with a protein. I asked for blackened shrimp and the server said you can only add ONE prawn. The dish was also very small for the price. I would rather pay more and get more. I wish we had just gone to Louie Bossi. At least you spend $200 there and leave full. read more

I've been a Boca Raton resident for 25 years and I loved Tanzy's. Everything about it was awesome. The food was good and the service was excellent. I hated to see it go. This new restaurant called Serena Pastificio is now my least favorite restaurant and I will not recommend it to my enemies. The prices are extremely high and the portions are extremely small. I ordered the $50 dish with 1 shrimp with the head attached, 1 scallop, 1 small lobster chunk, 1 fish cube and mussels. They left the head of the shrimp on so the dish looked bigger. It was basically one of each on a bed of the saltiest risotto I've ever tasted in my life. The service was great but the food was horrible. Even the dessert came out cold when it was suppose to be a warm apple tart pastry. Please bring Tanzy's back!!! I don't think this restaurant will last long. Oh yeah, the restaurant was very extremely empty for a Saturday night sold out movie premiere but Tanzy's was always packed and had lots of positive energy!!! PLEASE BRING TANZY'S BACK AND TAKE SERNA PASTIFICIO BACK TO WHERE IT CAME FROM!!! read more
