Tyrone and Jamal came back 48 hours after installing dehumidifier and air scrubber... this equipment worked really well except for now it's raining harder than they can remove the moisture nonetheless both of these men were very good listeners and I feel very effective at their job. I would definitely call Servpro again, although I definitely need my condo to fix the issue so that they don't have to be called. read more

ServPro was recommended to me to do the work on my leak in my downstairs bathroom which was caused by water damage from upstairs to downstairs. The demoed the project correctly found mold and treated it. Then came the bomb: someone urinated on my toilet seat. I was absolutely disgusted. ServPro sent Kelvin to come and clean and disinfect the area. Urinating on my toilet seat should never have happened. Common courtesy could have been followed. As such for the final work I chose another, more respectful company. More later after job is completed. read more

This review is long overdue...we had an electrical fire in our home...and Billy, Heather and their fabulous team came to the rescue.....they were very nice, patient, and helpful and were there to help us comb through all the things we collected over the years and cleaned the things that we could salvage from the fire...and let me tell you there was a lot of things And with all the delays as a result of Covid, we finally moved back home 4 yrs later. From our ice maker hose there was a pin hole leak, and water had gotten under our flooring and flooded the whole flooring and the first company that I came across was Servpro. I had called and talked to Josh and he assured me that they worked with our home owner insurance company in the past and that if we did have insurance that it should be covered. Right after talking to Josh, Matt called and wanted to let us know that he was ready to come out as soon as we were ready to put in our home the dehumidifiers to dry out the floor and walls to prevent mold from growing in the walls. FYI It took 4 days for the dehumidifier to dry out our 500 sq ft house. So make sure u have another place to stay in cause it was tooo hot and loud (not livable) to live in. Brandon and his crew came out after the house was dried and helped with taking out our furniture from the house. They had options for our furniture, they would have taken it to a storage place, but we had very little so I asked if it can be covered if we stored it in the garage. so they moved it into the garage and wrapped it with some felt and covered it with plastic. Then they went in and tore out the flooring and baseboards and hauled it away. The only problem I had was when they were removing the flooring they did not score/cut along the baseboards before removing the baseboards. So it tore off some of the drywall (see pics). It was just more $ and work for us to do ( fixing the drywall and repainting all those areas) cause insurance only covered replacing the flooring and baseboards. It didn't cover the damage that was done to the drywall that Servpro did when they tore out the flooring. (so if u don't know anyone it will cost u more $$) And at the end Josh had to come out to have the check signed that the insurance company sent to them with our names on it. (I thought it was a good idea, cause if the job was not done then don't sign it.) so I asked if they could also put the furniture back into the house and they did. If it weren't for the additional damage it would have been 5 stars Overall I was happy with the services!! read more

Had a sewage leak in my house. Not pretty. Josh was my first contact. Had staff there pretty quick to start the long clean up process. Very efficient. He was great with updates. At first, they were very helpful and willing to help in any way they could. However, after promising me that they would redo the estimate, which they did incorrectly, by the way, they went back on their word and refused to redo the estimate UNLESS I would hire them to fix the flooring. Of course, they waited to tell me this until the job had been completed and they were paid for the repairs I hired them to do. They told me this decision wasn't up to them that management made the call and they couldn't do anything about it. The receptionist tried to fix the situation by offering to pay for 20 square feet of closet flooring as if that would be sufficient for the work that needed to be done in my living room, dining room, and bathroom. I'm not here to bad mouth anyone, but someone's true colors come out when they don't need you anymore. I will NEVER support, recommend, or go to any Servpro ever again and if I were you, I'd find someone with integrity and loyalty that matches your beliefs. read more

We live in a condo and unfortunately that means we are susceptible to all kinds of mishaps. Last week a fourth floor washing machine broke and it leaked all the way down thru our floor (2nd) to the basement. I woke up earlier than I usually do on my day off and was surprised by a bathroom floor completely flooded. There was water coming thru the tiles in the ceiling and it was just NOT what I wanted on my DAY OFF!! After my landlord found out about the leak and was told that Servpro would be coming we decided to get a head start on soaking up some water from the floor. Thankfully, the water was stopped quickly and I was able to mop up all of the water on my own. When Servpro finally arrived (because they had to work their way down the floors, they determined with their moisture monitors that a wall was completely saturated on the INSIDE, and there was moisture in various parts of the bathroom ceiling and other walls that were covered with tile. They set up 2 blowers and a large dehumidifier machine and sectioned off that part of our house with plastic to contain the dryers and the heat. We lived with those machines for 4 days. It was loud, and HOT and ran continuously because it had to dry that wall. We were worried about our electric bill but we were told that the insurance would cover it. When they returned to check on the wall, they were satisfied that it was dry...BUT, the walls inside the tiled areas of the bathroom were still wet and there was no way for them to pull the moisture out thru the tiles. So Andy came up with the idea to place dehumidifiers in the bathroom and he let it run for 2 days. It worked. They came and collected the equipment today and I wanted to scream, 'Hallelujah!!' (Sitting on the john, next to a large dehumidifier is a strange experience). Here's why they received 4 stars: Workers: Very patient (especially with tenants like myself who have very little time for nonsense, lol); pleasant; informative; flexible. My husband and I work at night and sleep during the day. I asked if they could come later in the day and they were very accommodating. The owner, Andy, is very knowledgeable and works quickly. He seemed to be training some other guys who came with him, and he was very patient with them, too. Job quality: They set equipment up in the best way possible that would not disrupt our daily routine too much. I appreciated their efforts. They worked quickly and were inside our home no more than maybe 10 mins each time. They constantly kept us informed about the progress being made and also kept in touch with our landlord. Why did they lose a star? Not that major, but we are a crazy busy household. We like to be told WHEN you are arriving. Several times they just knocked on our door but didn't even call us first. Another time they said they'd be by in 30 mins and came more than an hour later. I mean, I get it. This is not an easy job especially with all that big equipment. But we still would appreciate a heads up about when to expect you. I'd like to at least brush my hair and teeth before you show up. ; ) read more

Had a refrigerator ice maker line water leak that damaged our laminate flooring. Our insurance company chose Servpro and they came out within an hour. Seth was the technician assigned to us and he was very professional, informative, and made what I thought was a stressful situation calming. He used excellent equipment to vacuum the remaining water up and fans/dehumidifier. Day 1 they cleaned up the water. Day 2 they boxed/packed up any personal items we had in the affected rooms and removed the laminate flooring and used their fans and dehumidifier to make sure there was no water in the kitchen cabinets and drywall. Seth always called me to see how things were going and was prompt when he said we would arrive at a specific time. The whole drying process took 6 days. With all the fans blowing and windows closed, it did make the house very hot and kitchen unusable. We just had to adjust to the process and Servpro was very helpful in informing us what the process was going to be like and answered any questions and concerns we had. During the removal process, however, there was some damage done to our kitchen marble flooring as well as a minor drywall/paint damage. Servpro was able to solve the problem and in the end, we were pleased with the results. It was assuring to hear that they will take care of the problem and that we should not have to stress out. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! If I could rate them lower I would. Strongly NOT recommend them!!! The job they did was nothing less than amateurs. Showed up late mornings and left early afternoon. Extremely poor work ethics. Eugene portrayed himself as the "contractor". After asking him about it 3 times he came out and said he was a "project manager". Totally misleading me from the beginning! The floor he put in squeaked. NOT acceptable!!! It has to be REDONE! The paint job was also extremely poor quality. It too has to be REDONE! Costing me TIME AND MONEY. TWO other licensed contractors viewed EUGENE'S/SERVPRO'S work and said it was poor quality. I asked the OWNER "ALAN" to come view the job his subordinates did under HIS license. PLEASE AVOID USING SERVPRO! It has been nothing short of a nightmare trying to deal with Servpro over the last several months on my project. (1) Terrible communication -- left project incomplete with ZERO communication for more than a month. No updates during the project or questions about how to proceed when big decisions had to be made. (2) Poor workmanship -- I am by no means a handyman but even I can tell the MANY areas they've messed up. Not leveling the floor, sever minor mistakes, incomplete work, left trash, no respect for homeowners' belongings. If you want quality work and workers who care that your home looks nice, do not recommend. (3) Last but certainly not least they have created DANGEROUS CONDITIONS in my home, including leaving sharp nails exposed and leaving mold exposed for weeks. We share an adjacent wall. Tomoe Clancy had major water leak from her toilet upstairs causing water damage upstairs and downstairs. They called your company Servpro to help dry up the place. Though I'm just a neighbor in charge of letting in your work crew in and out of the Clancy home, I was totally interested in your dry up process. I mentioned to Jomar I had a problem too. He agreed to come over to my home and access the water damage. He also took a moisture reading. Jomar was helpful in explaining what the process was and how the process works with machines. He also reported that your company will follow through whether it took 2 weeks or more.... the dehumidifier and blowers would run until the moisture readings were correct. He has been here 3 different times to monitor and evaluate my neighbors house. Today he removed remaining equipment. The Clancy job is now finished. I had a leaky water heater in a condo I listed that was in escrow. It was at the same time as the east Honolulu floods and I couldn't find ANYONE to come out and help me and inspection was in 3 days. Had a water-line leak inside of a wall; and the drywall, carpet, and wood flooring adjacent to it was wet. After overcoming our panic (on New Year's Eve no less), we called or contractor/handy man who came out to fix the leak. I called my insurance company to discuss the clams process and they arranged for SERVPRO to come to do clean up. They came and set up dehumidifiers and other equipment to dry up all the water and moisture. It took several days and they came by each day to check the progress. SERVPRO sent Seth and Adam... and these guys are great. Very professional, took the time to explain things to us, especially the process and what type of info they provide to the insurance company.
