First time coming here, met up with some friends for breakfast. The menus is very diverse...little bit of everything definitely something for everyone. Coffee was good and the staff was really nice. I had the chicken and waffle (chicken wrapped in waffle batter) it was really tasty. We were disappointed that the flavored pancakes didn't have anything inside. I'm giving The Shack 4 stars, because of the horrific wall decor, the childish scribbles and misspelled words on the walls were really annoying, but the food was good. read more

Went there for brunch, and it was packed so did have to wait for a little while to get in. My french toast was definitely worth it! The was brioche french toast rolled in cornflakes and made for an incredible combination of salty and sweet! My boyfriend also loved his chorizo burrito with hash browns. We tried a boozy milkshake, the captain crunch one, and I didn't love it, it would have been better with just the Kaluha, the Captain Morgan was a little too much. I ended up ordering a mimosa instead. The food was amazing though and I would definitely go back. The only thing I wish is they would use the NoWait app. I know it's a popular place so it will always be busy, but using NoWait would just make a better customer experience for everyone. read more

One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Great service, delicious food, great vibe and atmosphere. I had a Bloody Mary that used a beef stick as a straw! That's amazing! Great breakfast spot with lots of healthy options. There is a good mix of sweet and savory plus vegetarian and non on the menu. Their coffee is from a local roaster, which was very good. Meh... the server was very nice, the food didn't take long. My hubs ordered the meatloaf sandwich and said it tasted like a burger on an English muffin, and the fries were basic crinkle cut. I ordered an omelet called "Witness Protection". It had tomatoes, mozzarella and avocado in it. It came out folded in half with very little of anything in it and it was all crammed in one little corner. BLAND AS ALL HELL. Even putting a little salt on it did nothing for it. All it really turned out to be was over cooked scrambled eggs. The hash browns were over cooked and nearly burnt. The Samoa pancake special was okay. So, first some good things. I just love the childlike sense of wonder you get from coming into this restaurant. I adore the drawings on the walls and remind me of my own childhood. Second, the food is pretty good if I say so myself. The country fried steak is really good, although I do need to season it a bit more with salt and pepper(that's probably just for me). I feel as if the flavors in each dish do blend together most of the time. There are some dishes I dislike that will remain unnamed, but overall it is a great place. Thirdly, I was completely astounded by the menu item names. I especially got a laugh out of the "make a grown man cry". The names are funny and oh so amusing, I got a laugh out of almost every dish's name. Lastly, the friendliness of the waiters just adds tremendously to the whole experience. Every single time I come, I feel like I have been going there since I was young. Now for some bad things. I noticed that service can get kind of bad at times because once I ordered my usual and asked for my side, but they forgot the side. I called a waiter for my side and they said it would be coming. I patiently waited, but the side never came. All names of people will remain anonymous because I do not want others to be discredited for a minor error, although this scenario has occurred with many of my friends and family. My second bad thing is minor, but sometimes in my dishes, I find a small piece of an unwanted or unordered side or dish, and it kinda confuses me. It is sorta confusing just because I did not order this small piece, but yet it ended up in my dish. Overall this is a very good restaurant, if you can overcome minor flaws. read more

The shack is great. I wish I wasn't working half the time I come here or I'd be slamming boozy shakes and mimosas left and right. Always enjoy the Meg Ryan for breakfast. I love the chicken sausage. Simple but good. Every once in awhile my eggs are overcooked. That's an execution thing and is understandable as long as it's not constant. My friends often get huevos rancheros or other skillets that they always rave about. Love the staff. Tattooed and authentic. Great folks. Love the service here! The food here are amazing! You can write your name, etc. on their wall, which is really unique! It's really packed on the weekends but I don't mind the wait. Been a while since I've eaten here. I don't know if this place was having a bad day or if it's gone downhill. The service has been excellent in the past. Our server/bartender made us feel unwelcome. She was clearly unhappy about something, and it was reflected in the lack of service. Had to ask twice for water, and she never offered us a 2nd round of beers during our entire lunch. When my food arrived it looked like it was just thrown together. I've ordered the same sandwich before and it's really good. This one had a tiny dab of condiment and a spoonful of coleslaw on it. I flagged the bartender down to let her know, and asked for some extra of each so that I could improve it. She didn't seem overly concerned, but brought it. A few moments later the manager came by to say he was taking it off the bill, unnecessary, but nice. Would rather just get food that seems like there was a little care put into it. Will probably give another try, but really hope to get a friendlier person to help us. read more

The healthy options menu is incredible for those on a diet, and their regular menu looked incredible as well. The big negative aspect of the visit was the incredibly long wait times in order to get a table. Luckily, there is coffee available in the waiting area, but they could do with a bit more seating for those waiting as well. read more

I've been here several times. We've also stopped by many other times but the place is always so darn busy that we don't want to wait in line so we leave. The food is good so if you want to go there, either go early in the morning or after the breakfast rush... or you will be waiting at least 45 minutes for a table. Great place. Love the food and the people. Servers range in quality though. I've had one really attentive and funny server and one that didn't care about us and actually forgot about our food. Had a credit card issue here as well. My friend and I split the check and they charged my credit card for the entire meal and her card for her meal. Just found that really odd. read more
