Moo shoo vegetables was shredded cabbage like other takeout shops, though low on non-cabbage ingredients. But the cold noodles w sesame were downright terrible. We go along with the 3.5-4 star reviews. It's a typical take out / delivery place with a few tables for those that want to eat there. Plastic forks and styrofoam plates. It's not a restaurant with much heat in the winter, so you'll probably need to wear your winter coat. Our food was fresh and they accommodated our requests. We weren't a fan of the styrofoam plates, though. Styrofoam is very cheap but they are really bad for the environment. Plastic forks too. They should find better alternatives on that front. read more

Sometimes I like to engage in activities that make me extra hungry for food, and even with that, this food tastes so bland! I know I'm paying for cheap Chinese food, but add a little more soy sauce, even MSG, something! I won't be coming back here again. So I am extremely picky when it comes to take out Chinese food in NYC because sometimes it just taste like trash mixed with grease. My husband told me about this place he stumbled upon on the East Side that reminded us of our fav place back home in St Louis. We ordered Beef Lo Mein, Shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything stayed hot for a 20 mins drive home. Everything tasted fresh and not over seasoned. We waited only about 10 minutes for our food and the staff was friendly as well. This is a solid place and a great place for takeout. Usually I'm leery of the hole in the wall Chinese food restaurants as we have all had our "bad experiences" from them. Luckily for me, this neighborhood spot is not one of them. They actually cook up some great food at very reasonable prices. While I still prefer my Chinese spots in Chinatown, this does a great job at filling the void especially at prices that won't break the bank. Fast forward 3 months and ordered food for pick-up; my first order there of substance. Everything I ordered - noodle dishes and dumplings were just so.....nothing. Really nice woman who is always behind the desk every time I'm there so good service but I'm not sure about the food. I always get the sesame bean curd because it seems like anything else I get is usually pretty bad. Worst sesame noodles I've ever had- really watery and pretty bad spring roll.
