Updating my review because the staff has definitely gotten better at moving people through the line and taking orders! When this Sharetea location first opened, the staff felt disorganized and inefficient. I no longer get that feeling. They messed up my friend's drink (took down the wrong order), but quickly fixed it when my friend had politely informed them. I really needed a sugar rush today so got the classic pearl black milk tea @100% sugar and less tapioca. I thought it was the perfect combination of tea flavor and sweetness. Less tapioca is a personal preference that I think everyone should try out at least once to gauge how they like their tapioca/drink ratio! This place would be a perfect 5 but man is the service SLOW!!!! I've been here three time and each time no lie I've waited close to 20 minutes or more to get my drink. I feel like opening maybe 2 registers would really benefit this place as the line gets super long. My favorite bubble tea in the city. With so many selection of drinks, it's going to be hard to try everything on their menu. The points system is nice for getting free toppings once in a while. We order sharetea online, but the delivery fee gets kinda pricey. My go to is always Almond milk tea + egg pudding, but at Sharetea it's Almond Oat milk tea (+ egg pudding, less sugar). Sharetea is a pretty good place for a boba tea. They generally have WAY less of a line than Boba Guys will and definitely have more locations around the Bay Area. I have only been to the location at the Metreon though. I really like the kiwi green tea and I add lychee jelly and tapioca. It is a little pricy but come on, what bubble tea place isn't pricy around the Bay these days. I definitely love that you can pick your sweetness level and the baristas seem to be pretty consistent. What can I say...I love boba tea!!! When I learned they were opening a store in the Metreon, I was ecstatic!!! I've tried many different flavors here and they are all pretty tasty. Although some flavors can be a bit sweeter than the others, you will still be able to taste the "tea flavor." I always order mine with 30% sweetness, sometimes 0%. I think 100% sweetness is way too sweet for any flavor. Also less ice costs extra 15 cents, which is kinda ridiculous in my opinion. Additionally, they do the point thingy with FiveStars (App). Overall, this is a decent boba place in the city. I particularly enjoy their mango green milk tea (it is my go to drink). I don't particularly like their basic black milk tea though (not creamy enough for my taste). However, I do tend to have hiccups with the metreon location a lot more often than Sharetea locations outside of the city. This includes frequent small mistakes with my order such as asking for no ice and getting half a cup of ice or getting no sugar in a drink by accident. I recently placed an order through their website for pickup and scheduled it for 2:20 pm. I arrived there at 2:20 and called per the instructions provided, but was told they just received my order, so I informed them I actually scheduled it over an hour earlier to be picked up then; they said to give them a couple of minutes to get my order ready. I only got my order 20 minutes later. That is quite a long wait. The lady standing nearby was also calling them regarding a late order scheduled for curbside pickup as she didn't want to get a ticket. In addition, when I got my order, it was lukewarm which meant I had to refrigerate it for a bit, deteriorating the quality of the boba. read more

Well, what can I say about sharetea, It's probably my favorite go to bubble tea spot. When I went there they were running a pretty cool deal, if you brought 2 drinks and 1 of them being a sesame or almond drink, you get a scratcher with a few prizes you could win. Kind of a cool promo eh? Anyways we ordered the qq, which is basically bubble tea with all the toppings and a hot almond tea. The qq sounds like a crazy idea but it was soooo good, no boba complaints here it was cooked perfectly, even though I got 80% sweetness it was still pretty sweet, also I was really clear that I wanterd very little ice and 1/3rd of my cup was filled with ice :(. The hot almond tea was exquisite, it even had almond pieces in it. Can't wait to come back here and redeem the prize I won on my scratcher. read more

This is a solid spot with consistent quality in a relatively convenient location. It's a small shop in the Metreon, so there's not much by way of decor or ambience. It's more of a quick grab & go spot. Because of it's location, there are times when it can get crowded, especially during lunch hours, but if you time it right, you can order/get your drink incredibly quickly. The employees have always been cordial, patient, & helpful. Also for such a small setup, they have a pretty wide variety of options, so anyone should be able to find something they like. I've never had problems with the quality, after coming on quite a few occasions, & I'm one who especially appreciates consistency in service. I got the mango passionfruit green tea boba with less ice and 80% sweetness, but I wish I got it at 50% because it was still too sweet! This Sharetea is definitely better than the one in Berkeley. In this location, my friend ordered Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea while I ordered QQ Happy Family Milk Tea. They were both equally yummy and had toppings! I liked the Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea better so I decided next time I go to Sharetea, I would get that instead. A few weeks later I was at the Berkeley Sharetea and I ordered the Okinawa. It tasted murky. I came with three other friends who ordered different things and we tried each others and came to a conclusion that they all had this murky, bitter flavor. Taste-wise, this location is better. Unlike the Berkeley Sharetea, each drink has a unique flavor. It's also more clean and friendly. I've been to Sharetea for some time now and I like their whole selections of Milk tea. My friends and I got the Taro Milk tea w/boba, Honey Milk tea, and Oolong Milk tea with lychee jelly. Taro Milk tea w/boba: 9.5/10; The taste of the Taro tastes kind of off. I can't tell if they used the actual Taro or if they used powder. It tastes like powder but at the same time, it tastes like actual Taro.. (It wasn't a disappointment though; I liked it). So why the extra .5? They gave me a lot of Boba which I really liked (: Honey Milk tea: I took a sip from my friend's Honey Milk tea and I would rate it 8/10; The Honey Milk tea tasted something similar to Grass Jelly.. So, no further comment on that. Oolong Milk tea with lychee jelly: I also took a sip from my friend's Oolong Milk tea with lychee jelly and I'd give it a 8/10 also; I do however taste the real Oolong tea so I'd say I liked it more than the Honey Milk tea. The have a sorta wide selection and it is good. The milk tea is good and I like that you can choose how sweet you want your drink to be,but it is really upsetting that if you want a specialty cup that you only have a choice of 3 drinks. Came here twice on a Saturday (before and after a wedding across the street at St. Patrick) around 1PM and then at 4:30PM. 1PM - there was no line and just walked up and ordered. Got a peach green tea with no boba. It was pretty quick! It was very refreshing because it was a little hot outside. 4:30PM - the line only had about 8 people in it, but there looked to be a lot of people waiting for their drink. I ordered an Okinawa milk tea with egg pudding. The lady at the cash register told us it'd be a 20 minute wait. We actually only ended up waking about 10 minutes... Why is this place so expensive? It's good. Very good. Maybe it was the drink I ordered, but I felt slightly cheated out of my money. The queue wasn't very long for a Friday afternoon, post-work hours. I came here at around 4pm out of convenience. I had heard quite a lot about Sharetea, and I can see why. Their menu is extensive and their drinks are innovative, I'll give them that. There were about four people in line and it went fairly quickly. I couldn't decide between normal bubble tea, matcha red bean, or handmade taro fresh milk. When I approach the cashier, I felt kind of rushed. There were lots of people lined up behind me and I hate stalling, so I just ordered with what felt right. I decided on the latter, and paid an amount more than I should have for this delicious drink. When I asked them for 30% sweetness and 30% ice, they told me that the drink was blended. She offered to blend with less ice if I wanted, and I said no thanks. I gave them my name and waited in the small area on the other end of the counter. Apparently, they were calling out both names and patron numbers, which confused some people, but I guess that's the way they work. My drink came out and I had expected it to be more of a slush, rather than a milky consistency. Same old 30% sweetness. With less sugar (and possibly more milk), it tasted like fresh taro and just regular whole milk mixed in. I wonder about the mechanics of how it was made, because it wasn't a smoothie, but it wasn't a tea either. There were fresh taro chunks on the bottom and it was satisfying. I have no complaints about it, except for the price. I can definitely see why this place advertises as Taipei's #1 bubble tea. This place isn't very conveniently located; I won't go out of my way to come here. But, I definitely want to try that matcha red bean drink next time. read more

Located INSIDE the METREON food court (across from Inay Filipino food, near AMC ticket line). This place can be tricky to find if you're not too familiar with SF area. I had to try ShareTea, because it is supposedly "Taiwan's #1 tea" (per it's advertised slogan). And I have to agree, this place is a MUST TRY. They have a great selection of drinks... From your typical milk tea, brewed tea, and ice blended drinks... and some unique, refreshing options such as Fresh milk (fresh!), creama, and Yakult drinks. Another thing that ShareTea does well is allow customization of your drink to your liking. Many places let you add toppings (they've got plenty to choose from... Including my fave coffee jelly), you can also add more/less ice depending how you like it.. And the best part is choosing sweetness level between 0%, 30%, 50%, 80%, 100%... And even 120%. I ordered the 'QQ Happy Family Milk tea' (large size only, $4.85)... 5 out of 5 stars). The black milk tea, with 30% sweetness per my request, was perfectly balanced by the other sweet additions (mini boba pearls, herb jelly, pudding, lychee jelly, and red bean). Average drinks which are kind of pricey but it's expected since this Boba shop is located in downtown. A milk tea with Boba comes out to be 5.25. The price isn't really the problem that's starting to deter me away from this place. It's the lack of consistency in the drinks and how it's only subpar compared to other Boba shops. The milk teas I have ordered on numerous occasions have tasted watered down or not the right sweetness as the level I requested. Today I asked for 80% sweet but could not taste the sugar at all.
