Went here a few days ago with my sister for some boba and to our surprise, Happy Lemon is gone and Shibainc Cafe is in. I admit, I'll miss Happy Lemon but the vibe and menu seem pretty similar. They seem to have revamped the interior with merch, more couches and overall it feels a lot more inviting than before. I ordered a strawberry smoothie with boba and my sister got an Oreo milk tea with boba. Staff were polite and service was prompt, and our drinks were delicious. And we even got 10% off since they were still in their soft opening era. What a cute Shiba themed boba spot right in the heart of South Sac. It took over Happy Lemon. This was my second time visiting.They have unique drinks and new flavors and snacks added to their menu. You can buy merchandise and have a kiosk for self service and even a cute photo op for selfie. Super adorable and quaint. Great for small groups, friends, and they even have festive kpop music playing. Board games are available too if you want to use it. I tried the strawberry cheese foam and it was delicious! They also sell miscellaneous t-shirts, plushes, Pokemon cards, and toys in the middle. There's ample seating and some card games if you want to chill with friends. I ordered the mango matcha with mango boba. The drink came out pretty quickly and it was pretty sweet. I didn't adjust the sweetness, but even mixed, it tasted like I was drinking almost pure mango puree. It was a solid drink for a mom and pop shop vs. the chain options available. Found out about this new boba shop from a friend, so I had to go check it out. I went there around 5 PM yesterday and it was not busy. The interior of the store is adorable because they have big images of their shiba character everywhere. They have cute seating areas with different kinds of tables and chairs available. There used to be a Happy Lemon here and I thought they rebranded because their menu is similar. They don't offer as many options as other boba places. I wanted something that's non caffeinated, but from what I can see only their slushy drinks or smoothies would be suitable for that. They have a buy 2 get 1 free deal on Wednesdays, so I ordered three different drinks to try and share with my family. Service was quick, but when they called out my order, the slushy was already separated at the bottom. I had to constantly shake and mix it. To be really honest, the drinks were not that good. The slushy was way too sweet and chunky. It is premade from their slushy machine, so it is not possible to adjust the sweetness. The taro milk tea with sweet cheese foam was watery and did not have much taste. The regular milk tea was okay because I could taste some tea and it wasn't that sweet, but my brother thought it was bland. read more

Out of all three drinks two were missing some toppings and the sugar and ice levels were not satisfactory. I saw this place on good day and decided to check it out since I'm a huge dog lover with two great dogs. What a great place for the community! This is just a lovely café to bring your dog and have some great Vietnamese coffee or Boba. the service was great. They were extremely welcoming. They even gave us a treat bag for our dog. Everything looked clean and the seating was very comfortable and cute. I loved the atmosphere. We got a strawberry Boba and I've never had Boba before, but it was delicious. We also got some of the Shibuno treats. They were very yummy and fresh tasting. I would highly recommend this café if you would like to take your pup out for a good time. We went on Sunday and the traffic was very busy in the parking lot, but there is a very big parking lot with plenty of space. I can't wait go back again. read more

I was surprised to see this cute cafe that has taken over the previous boba shop here which was Happy Lemon. Sad to see Happy Lemon go but this new cafe does have some similar drinks with the cheese foam. I got the strawberry green tea with cheese foam and my bf got the mango green tea with cheese foam. Make sure to mix the drink bc all the sugar is at the bottom. Prior to mixing, it's not really sweet. I do like Happy Lemon better bc you don't need to mix the drink for the sweetness and still be able to enjoy the cheese foam on top while sipping. I've been here 3 times with my spouse to try different drinks while getting Huong Lan sandwiches nearby, and have not really been wowed. The pricing is good and the merchandise is very cute, but the flavor in the drinks were not balanced well. For example, the taste was not strong enough in the oreo milk tea, or the tea was bitter in the oolong milk tea. The fruit teas were very syrup-tasting. They have cute merchandise for purchase, Pokemon/BTS cards machine, and other random items. They got decent seatings including long tables, small round tables, and lounges. I can see people come here to chill/study. You order via kiosk and drinks come out promptly. I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with brown sugar boba at 50% sweetness. There is a small merch area when you walk in, and you can buy a wide range of cute merch from keychains, pens, dog beds, tshirts, and chopsticks just to name a few. There are several tables, chairs, and couches so if you want to just hang with some friends, this is a cozy spot to do so. There are board games available for you to use while you are there. There is also an origami folding tutorial at the front of the store near the pickup counter. I ordered with the cashier because I wanted her recommendations since it was my first time there. There is a kiosk that you can place your order too. I ordered original egg waffles with sweet cream custard and Oreo custard for dipping. This was a good snack. These do take 8-10 minutes to make to order, so if you are in a hurry, you may want to just stick with drinks. The drinks were made promptly. I ordered a strawberry matcha tea with boba with 50% sweetness. I am always weary of boba drinks being made to sweet, so I started there and now I can only go up, right? I was good with half the original sweetness. I typically prefer less sweetener so that I can taste the flavors more, and the strawberry and tea flavor was a bit in the bland side. The boba was fresh and had perfect texture. I loved the cool merch, the clean adorable interior, and quick service. I will give the drinks another try, but with all of the competition in boba tea houses in Sacramento, this is a spot that I will come to if I am in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the boba drinks unless there is some drastic recipe changes. read more

Great atmosphere to work and study. Now that Gong Cha is closed, this will probably be the spot. I like how the chairs are comfortable and it seems to be a local hotspot especially with sac state students. The drinks are decent, but then again, there's not a lot of good drinks in Sacramento anyways. I'd just get the Lemon Slushy and call it a day. The drinks are decently priced too, as long as they're not like $9 like at HeyTea then it's good enough. Having a Shiba Inu myself, I just HAD to check out this spot. Apparently, Shibainc is a licensed brand in Hong Kong that sells merch, and this cafe uses their branding as the theme. And boy did they take their assignment seriously! Their branding is on point, from the wall decors, the their seatings, to their cups... truly a Shiba paradise! They are dog-friendly and even have a photo wall of all the furry friends who visited. They also sell official Shibainc merch. I was surprised because the quality was top notch and prices were good. It was much cheaper than buying from the official online store. I had their Vietnamese coffee affogato is STRONG. I love my coffee strong, but this was a definite standout for me. The vanilla ice cream was really good, but did nothing to dampen the coffee strength. Definitely a once in a while treat. I was bouncing off the walls well through midnight (and enjoyed every minute of it). My husband had a taro milk tea with boba. He didn't adjust the sweetness so it was at 100%, but it wasn't sickly sweet surprisingly. The boba had a nice chew and they honey coating made them taste like candy. Pretty good! Their service was friendly and fast! We went on weekend, so they were pretty busy, but I only had to wait for a couple of minutes for our drinks. The ingredients tasted fresh, so it's not like they're making their drinks from powders or premade mixes. They're just amazing at what they do! I will definitely be back! read more
