    a donut on a counter
    Rozele L.

I always drive past here and say I'm going to try them one day well Y'all today was that day I went in and I was greeted as soon as i came thru the door the young lady at the counter was fast, friendly and courteous. As I'm waiting to get my order, the whole time I'm thinking these donuts better taste good, I couldn't wait to get home, as soon as i got in I popped open that box grabbed that glazed donut ( I have 15 assorted) and y'all I must admit it was delicious, moist, soft and the way I like them not too sweet. I will definitely stop by again oh and the establishment is nice and clean you can sit for awhile to socialize if you like.

Super cute bag with tasty treats inside

Came in here because most other donut places are closed on Mondays for some reason. I'm glad to have found this place. The people were super nice to us. Picked up 3 donuts, 3 kolaches, a french vanilla cappuccino and some donut holes. Everything was good but the original glazed donut holes were definitely our favorite. The service was really fast. I would definitely come back and try the drive thu next time.

This location just opened but the fritters and donuts taste like you would expect from Shipley's. The staff was happy and very busy, but were running low on certain items for being 8:30 am. However, we checked it again today since it is within walking distance of my home and it was well stocked. A good start to a new location and glad we have a family policy of once a month.

Great little place for a quick bite of coffee and donuts (and maybe diabetes too). Their prices are great. Their mocha cappuccino was pretty tasty! The donut holes were kind of delicious but dry and cold for my liking, however they didn't coat my mouth with a weird oily feeling like some donut glazes do. I also tried the jalapeño sausage and cheese Kolache too, and I had no complaints! Warm fluffy and spicy! I appreciated the fact that there was a drive thru that was fairly quick.

This what their version of a kolache is here! Absolutely ridiculous! 1 tiny piece of rolled up lunch meat!

They are kind of unique as far as I know, a yeast based dough that causes them to be pretty light and airy.

I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. And the toppings of Nutella, cinnamon, and strawberries adds dimension & the perfect story. There is plenty of patio seating and lots of parking outside. There can be a line on the weekends and they tend to sell out so keep that in mind. The staff is friendly and service is quick!

When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. Next note- I feel like this is a low key meet up spot. Like the way they tried to make the first train cars on the MTA the singles car? There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. With the little IG ready love seats and doughnuts made for sharing, you could walk away with extra sugar.

The audacity Story time, Today I went to the original Round Rock location, downtown Round Rock, to buy my son's birthday donuts, It's tradition. Every year on his birthday he gets a dozen half glazed and half chocolate frosted donuts. Then I get a kolache and a dozen donut holes for myself. Well when I pulled up today the line was wrapped around all the way to Mays street. So I just followed the line of cars and got in line. You'd think that a line that long would take a long time but.... Round Rock donuts has this process down to a T. It took less than 10 minutes to get through that line and get my order. And those donuts came out hot and fresh. So did my kolache. Anywho, Don't let the lines scare you away, Just jump in and know they're going to move quickly. Also, If you're planning an office event or any type of event and you want donuts and coffee or kolaches donuts and coffee, Round Rock donuts offers a great menu for large orders and also they have a cake menu for custom cake orders. If you don't want to stay in line in your car you can also park wherever you can find a spot and go to the walk-up ordering window, It's shaded and there's plenty of space to hang out while your order is being made and brought out to you. All this to say, It's a Round Rock Donut, Happy Birthday to my Son!

Today I showed up about 6:20 am and bought 9 dozen glazed. Per habit, I opened a box before driving off, anticipating the melting in your mouth experience I treasure. But the donut I chomped was ... COLD. I checked my other boxes too--every donut cold. Shockingly, a store employee told me it's the bakery's practice to give chilled donuts to customers because that preserves them longer. That's not for me, I replied, and the store swapped out my coldies for delightfully warm replacements. I hope the employee was wrong about this cold donut "practice."

The donuts themselves were a bit of a letdown, though. Ours were a little stale -- now, in fairness, we did roll in later in the afternoon, so that might've played a part. But here's the thing: I'm a HUGE donut person. I can eat a donut basically any time of day, no matter how long it's been sitting out. So for them to fall a little flat, especially at the prices they're charging, I was expecting a bit more. That said, it was a nice place to sit and take a break while we were wandering around downtown. Would I make it a regular stop? Probably not -- but if you're on vacation and want to check it out for the experience, it's worth a peek.

Why am I going to one in Austin? Well, it's because I am a completeist and I try to go to as many Voodoo Doughnut locations as I can. Austin has two locations but Steve was only willing to tolerate going to one location so we went here. The doughnuts are going to be about the same as any other location however I did come across one that I haven't seen before. I am not sure if it was limited edition or what but I liked it. It was kind of take on a Black Forest Cake but it wasn't cherries that were on top of the doughnut and cream. It was more like blueberries. It was good and I am glad I tried it! I was really hoping to see the Ring of Fire Doughnut as it's my favorite but I didn't see it here. I got more of a powdered doughnut too as I do like their more basic doughnuts too. Steve got something that almost was like a Dubai-esque Chocolate Doughnut. It had pistachios on it and was a chocolate cake. That one was good too! Atmosphere is weird and quirky like all of their locations try to be which I can appreciate. So if you are addicted to Voodoo Doughnuts or have been wanting to try them but don't plan any PNW trips then definitely swing by the Texas locations. More and more locations are popping up all of the time!
