noodles and chicken in a container

If you look at my history, I only give good, positive reviews. Unfortunately, this food was so awful I am trying to warn others. Chicken and vegetables tasteless. Pot stickers bizarre in texture and taste like pure garlic. Pad Thai had so much overpowering tamarind that it was completely inedible. No typical ingredients either like peanuts, bean sprouts, lime, cilantro anything that would give it the common ingredients/flavors of this dish. Who is making this food?!?! Awful!

Ordered take out. Pad Thai was a disappointment. They used super thin noodles instead of the regular thicker noodles. Taste was very bland. I've had much better making my own using bottled Pad Thai sauce. Noodles also very overcooked. Will never order this again. The type of order that truly warrants wanting your money back or getting a different order if you're dinning in. Pad See Ew was wonderful, tasty, lots of vegetables, everything cooked to perfection. Something I'll definitely order again.

Ooops....the food was so delicious....I didn't snap photos of my entire meal Papaya Salad Clear Noodle Salad Tom Kah with Chicken Lard Na with Shrimp Veggie Potstickers Panang Curry with Chicken Free Egg Rolls 4 Thai Coffee The food was delicious, colorful, clean quality fresh ingredients....excellent food each time I've been there...very consistent and well portioned meals....thank you very much for a delicious meal ** Please, it's really unnecessary to add a processing fee for a called in order....your prices should already factor in your "processing fee" of $2.01 ($0.01???)

Best Thai food around suburbs. I see many negative reviews for this place and they are unfounded. I have eaten here 15 times minimum. The food is great. I have never had issues with the quality. The drunken noodles are one of my favorite dishes. Always tasty, cooked properly, and fresh. I like the basil fried rice a lot. The beef and broccoli is excellent too. I have never had an issue with any employee, I usually interact with a male.

Tom Kha Soup shows vegetables, none were included

Pouring rain outside, decided to order from Simply Thai in Northbrook. Placed the order from the car while waiting for a order from the Chinese joint next door. So i ordered the Tom Kha soup and an order of Chicken Pad Thai. Soup had absolutely no vegetables in it all, only Chicken. The same with the Pad Thai, no vegetables at all only noodles and Chicken. The noodles were so dry I thought they were a week old.

Enormous amount of dressing for the papaya salad.

We drive past Grill House all the time, it has been in Northbrook for a long time (I just found out…read morethat it's been here for 9 years), however, this was the first time that we ever visited, and I am happy that we finally did! My husband and I wanted a quick and good dinner one Sunday recently, and we picked Grill House after I read some good reviews on Yelp.  Although it's a casual, fast-food-style restaurant, the menu is surprisingly extensive, with a wide variety of healthy Greek dishes. It was definitely helpful to look over their menu online before we visited, because the menu board inside could be a bit overwhelming.  I guess I still looked quite confused when I saw 2 kiosks in front of the ordering counter.  A staff behind the counter offered to help, and I just ordered directly with him.  Later of the evening I discovered that he's the friendly owner Gus. After placing our order at the counter, we were given a table number, and our food was delivered promptly.  I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Plate ($17.50 at the time, it's now listed online for $18), while my husband ordered a Filet Mignon Souvlaki Plate ($25.50).  Each souvlaki plate included a soup or salad, rice and potato (1 piece), a side of veggies, and pita bread in a paper bag.  It was a generous amount of food! We both chose the lentil soup, which was served piping hot in a nice ceramic bowl with a lid. It was flavorful and comforting. My chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy, never dry, and both the rice and potato were delicious. We were both impressed with the quality and value of the meal. I ordered a lemonade, which is considered a fountain drink ($4.00) and comes with free refills, though I couldn't even finish my first glass. My husband would have ordered a glass of wine if we hadn't had plans afterward, so we were happy to see that Grill House also serves beer and wine for a future visit. The service was another highlight. Everyone was warm and welcoming; a special shout-out to Kevin, who was very attentive and checked in on us several times.  When I was taking photos around the restaurant, the owner Gus greeted me again, which was a nice personal touch. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and inviting. There's also a pleasant patio for those who prefer to dine outdoors. We will definitely be back to try more dishes from their extensive menu.  I am glad that we finally gave Grill House a try!

The place is crawling with attractive people. Hot Asian women, hot white yuppies, groups of people dressed like they're either heading to a rooftop bar afterward or quietly ruining somebody's marriage. Whatever demographic algorithm they're running in Wheeling, it is producing statistically irresponsible results. Then I discovered the button. There is a button on the table that summons the waitress. A button. Dangerous! For centuries, men had to make eye contact, raise a hand, or sit there dehydrating while pretending not to be annoyed. New Village has eliminated all that with one glowing little piece of technology. Press button. Hot waitress appears. This is either the future of hospitality or the beginning of the collapse of civilization. Possibly both. And the food is great. Not as good as the scenery. But... good. The kind of food that keeps you ordering more than you intended because somewhere between the second drink and the third plate, financial judgment completely left the building. The whole experience feels like somebody combined a Korean drinking hall, a suburban gastropub, and the Korean Red Light district. Great food. Nuclear P.O.A. Index. Dangerous button. I went in for dinner and left wondering why every restaurant in America doesn't let me summon service like I'm a minor feudal lord.

The Megrulian Khachapuri is traditional Georgian flat bread, made from a yeast dough and baked with a savory cheese filling, and a second layer of cheese baked on top. It was served right from the oven cut into wedge shaped slices and was delicious. Our shared lamb Kebab was a very generous portion of large chunks of grilled lamb. Served in a bowl with its natural juices topped with thin sliced onions, it was perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to a perfect medium rare as we had requested. A side of the Georgian version of ketchup was an excellent accompaniment, tart, tasting of garlic and herbs with just a bit of heat. Service was very good, prices are reasonable, and the dining room spacious and attractively decorated. I recommend Kitchen House Cafe, and we look forward to coming back to try more of the Georgian dishes listed on their menu.

There appeared to be a private party going on, and to be fair, they seemed to be having a fantastic time. I, meanwhile, mostly felt like an NPC in the background of their celebration. Service was a little off-putting -- not outright bad, just the kind that makes you wonder if you somehow interrupted something important by ordering food. I tried the Chkmeruli (garlic chicken) and khachapuri. Both were decent enough, but at around $45 total, I kept waiting for the "wow, this is worth it" moment that never really arrived. The khachapuri was fine, the chicken was fine... everything was just aggressively okay. To be fair, your mileage may vary. I may have caught them on an off night, and clearly other people there were enjoying themselves. But based on this visit, it felt less like a cozy culinary discovery and more like paying cover charge to awkwardly attend a party I wasn't invited to.
