One of the best bowls of Pho I've had in the US. I've had great Pho in Oakland and San Jose, but this Pho was better. The depth of flavor in their broth was on a different level and the fresh noodles were fantastic. I'm not sure why they only have a 3.5 star review, but my guess is it's not because the Pho. This is one of my favorite spots. The inside is very beautiful and reminds me of Vietnam. Pho was good and flavorful. I like the bowl that they serve pho in, the broth was hot and tasty. Pho comes with a lot of condiments and sauces on the side for you to choose. I'm so glad that they included pho hanoi on the menu, which is hard to find at other pho restaurants. Pho hanoi came with a side of banh quay (fried dough stick) . Service was quick and decent. I haven't had a chance to try their Bun Bo Hue which is my favorite dish. This place does a really good job at doing Hanoi Pho. If you want something that has a trendier atmosphere, along with a unique dish like Hanoi Pho, Sit Lo is a good place to eat. The only con I can think of is the pricing. Although both the Hanoi Pho and Saigon Pho were delicious, I felt that it was a tad overpriced compared to other pho places. This spot it probably the best place in the Elk Grove area for your quick fix if you aren't ready to head out to the little Saigon area in south sac. This place does stand out from traditional pho restaurants in this area as they offer Hanoi style pho. This style is not common in this area but it's definitely interesting to try as it has sautéed beef with a bunch of green onions and a lighter broth than the traditional Saigon style. I also like this place because they serve savory fried doughnuts and have pickled onions on the side which I also haven't seen before. This time around I ordered a regular rare beef and meatball pho Saigon style. It definitely fulfilled my cravings and the services was super fast even though they get very busy on the weekends so I was very pleased! New best pho place in Elk Grove. When you enter there is a big sign informing you how to order. It's pretty much grab menu, order, pay, then sit down, and wait for your order. Pho bowl sizes are regular or large. Options are Saigon or Hanoi pho, pho ga, or bun bo hue. Comes with two different noodle options: default fresh noodles or thin typical pho noodles. Tried the Saigon and Hanoi. Saigon pho is the typical combination you get anywhere else. Comes with tripe, meatballs, and tendon. Broth is delicious. Came with less tendon than I like. Hanoi pho broth tastes about the same as Saigon. Difference is there are more green onions and less variety of meat. I believe the only meat in this pho is thin sliced beef. Order also comes with two Asian donuts. Condiments are fish sauce, black pepper, hoison, sriracha, chilli oil, and pickled peppers and jalapenos. The pickled peppers are awesome because they're spicy and flavorful and you usually only find it at Thai restaurants. Lastly, water is self served which is awesome because I hate waiting for water. Only complaint was both times, the oxtail and beef balls in the pho was cold when you bite inside...yes, still cold!!!....i know they are premade in advance them put in bowl when ordered. I can eat pho but I never crave it. My fiancé & I decided to try this place out & let's just say I came back 2 days later to eat it again. I'm definitely going to be craving this pho often. So flavorful and fatty. Their steak literally melts in your mouth. Their rib bone is delicious. We weren't really fond of the lemonades that we got so I probably won't purchase that again but I'll definitely have to come back for the Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea. I suggested her letting the employees know, but she was rather understanding that this kind of stuff happens at a restaurant, so we didn't say anything. After finish eating, we cut up the meat and tendons off the bone along with the soup and took it to-go. After almost finishing this as dinner, I discovered this metal scrub thingy in the soup. When I say I literally gagged, trust and believe. I felt so disgusted! Now I've read some other reviews on finding all sort of things in their orders, makes me feel like this happens often and they've been/ became so unsanitary. I don't understand the hype unfortunately. The Asian girls with blonde hair have ruined the experience for me, especially most recently. I've been here two or three times now on a weekend. It gets busy and the line can take long. They have very limited seating and have grown in popularity these past few months. You have to order first and they give you a number. With that number, you find a seat/table and the staff brings you the food to your table. I don't really mind their system, and it's whatever to me. As it was my party's turn to order, one of the male staff members reminded the (blonde hair) cashier to let the customers know it'll be at least a 15 minutes wait. She rolled her eyes hardcore and failed to do so. I had a bad feeling as it reached my party's turn to order. We ordered three phos. There are only four soups on the menu, so it wasn't a difficult decision. I stood on the side as my boyfriend paid for my party. The menu is overpriced. $14 for a bowl and the drinks are $4 - $7. I noticed that they only had iced coffee, but I was interested in something hot. I asked the cashier if their coffee is available hot. She said no. Then, I asked how their coffee is made. She replied, well, we brew our coffee... and she paused. I didn't want to explain to how coffee is usually made because I'm sure the menu is out of her control, so I stopped her and said never mind. My party's order did take a while. Probably 15 - 20 minutes. As mentioned, there wasn't much seating. There were single seaters inside and outside tables. I didn't feel like sitting outside, so I sat in the single seaters closer to the restrooms. As 5 minutes went by or so; an inside table left, and the staff was bussing and cleaning it. There were onions spilled on the floor too. I asked the busser if I can claim this table as she's cleaning it, and she said sure. I sat on the cleaner side as she continued to clean it (not the side with spilled onions on the floor). The rest of my party sat at the single seaters as the table was cleaning. Now the real kicker of the story is when one of the staff members (also with blonde hair) asked me to move out of the table I'm sitting at (which is now cleaned). Keep in mind I was looking down on my phone and didn't realize the table was cleaned, so I didn't call the rest of my party over. I asked her why I should move. She rudely explains that I need to pay first before I sit down at a table and proceeds to ask if I paid (shouldn't that be your first question, girl???). As she's arguing with me, there is a pair of customers behind her (did she guarantee them the 4 seater table I am sitting at?). I told her I paid already and I tried explaining that as the busser was cleaning, I asked to claim and sit down as the busser was doing so. Then, she again, rudely explains that she needs to ask the cashier about this. I asked her why??? Then, she repeated herself audaciously that I need to pay before sitting down with a higher tone in voice. I look over to the cash register as she falsely assumes that I lied about a story paying over a silly table, and the rest of the staff is staring at us. She walks back and talks to the rest of the staff obviously to update them what happened. I apologized the couple waiting for the table that was still waiting behind the blonde hair girl staff and said that I was waiting here. Instead, we swapped places with the rest of my party at the single seater table and the rest of my party came asking what happened. Guess what? They also brought the table number too. Despite the misunderstanding, I am still getting stares from the female Asian blonde hair girls from the cash register. I doubt she recognized me too because I didn't pay for my party. I think the real upsetting thing is that instead of offering an apology to the couple waiting and I, I just get stares. Unprofessional. Later on I got my food. The Ha Noi pho had a lot of scallions on top - not sure if that's for aesthetics or not, but I wish they omitted half. Broth itself is flavorful, but some my meat was also shriveled or I got bits that looked like ground beef. I recommend getting the regular noddles over the pho fresh noodles because I thought they absorbed the soup quick. I don't know what makes pho fresh noodles "fresh." I think this place is gaining popularity because of it's trendiness (modern decor and music) and pho broth. But it's overpriced and quite frankly, I'm still upset about my service. So that was disappointing. 3/10 Pho Ga( Chicken Pho): It was good but really really salty (I don't put any condiments on my pho). This review is purely for the ease of purchasing. Besides opening for limited hours I called to place an order and was inconveniently told That orders were not accepted over the phone. The only way to place my order would be to do it online and then come in and pick up, place online for DoorDash, or come in person and order in person. Sit Lo Saigon is a newer pho restaurant in Elk Grove located near Target Laguna and I had to try. I went on a weekday at night so it wasn't crowned. It was raining when we went and they didn't have the heater on so my family and I were freezing our butts off :,). The menu is very limited so if you want other vietnamese food besides pho I wouldn't suggest this place. The pricing is on the higher end for pho ($14 per bowl), so if you wanted more affordable pho I suggest heading over to stockton blvd. It looks like they use to have bun bo hue on the menu but when I went it was crossed out (so either they ran out for the day or decided to no longer offer this). They have three pho favors to choose from, Hanoi Pho (Beef Flank Pho), Saigon Pho (Combination Pho), and the Chicken Pho. I usually go with combination pho but my moms friend recommend getting the Hanoi Pho instead.
