The complimentary bread was the best part of my visit. I got the salad bar and couldn't bring myself to get up for more food. The soup was decent, but the chicken was rubbery and the ice cream was watery. Pretty big letdown since the Saturday lunch salad bar was the same price as their weekday dinner salad bar. Might've been better off getting a burger which was cheaper and LOOKED more appetizing. Not coming here again by choice. read more

This is a really nice location with typically very fresh food and also very clean and a well maintained salad bar. The food is fine for a chain style place, but what really sets it apart are the team members. I've been in on several different times and a few people consistently stand apart because of their outstanding service and very friendly demeanor. Both Maria and Fidel are really good at what they do and never seem to be just going through the motions- they are truly kind and decent people. I like to get the smaller plate which not only costs less, but as a senior comes with a free beverage! I always leave full and with a smile on my face due to their great staff. read more

I could have sworn that I have a review for this place, but I guess not? I have been to this Sizzler a few times. You can get a good steak at a reasonable price here, but yeah there's no atmosphere (to me it's kind of depressing lol). The service has ranged from okay to excellent. The salad bar is really, really small and while I love salad bars, this one isn't worth the $$. I did once pay the extra $$$ to get the one trip to the salad bar thing where the workers toss it for you and it was a pretty good salad. I do think generally Sizzler is a bit overpriced for their salad bar considering how small it is. They also have these tacky signs everywhere at the register, at the salad bar, and elsewhere saying things like "1 trip to salad bar doesn't include hot food or dessert", "no sharing", etc. It's a bit much imo. They also now give you a tiny bowl to get a salad if it's the 1 time salad thing (it looks like a tin dog bowl). read more

We found this location while we were lost and it's become our favorite sizzlers. The customer service is amazing and they are so clean. They are constantly checking the temp of all foods, cleaning and replacing food non stop. They remove plates quickly and keep checking on you. Love this place and the employees!! read more

Love Sizzlers but not this one. I ordered the steak and all you can eat shrimp, the steak was cooked well on the inside but lacked the nice char on the outside. I didn't send it back in fear of it being overcooked on the inside. It seemed as if the steak was microwaved and then iron with a skillet to get the grill marks. The Sizzler in Culver City is on point, they should have their cooks from there train the cooks here. Servers are not very attentive, they only came by once. read more

My husband and I decided to go for dinner here tonight. We haven't been to a Sizzler in quite some time. We ordered each the 8oz tri-tip steak dinner. We each got a one time trip to the salad bar and we each got a drink. The bill came to $47. I can't believe that 1 trip to the salad bar was 6 bucks when we ordered a dinner. That just seemed way over priced. I asked the waitress if we get their dessert which consisted of yogurt and some toppings. She said "NO" as we would have needed to get the endless salad bar. Celebrated my husband's birthday at Sizzler's in Chatsworth @ 5pm today had a party of 20. They don't accept reservations on the weekend, but they accommodated our large party. We arrived early and set 3 large tables together in their smaller dining area. The manager and lady at the register were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt great. The food was very good especially the steak. Claudia our server was so sweet fast and attentive. She was amazing and made sure we were taken care of. She went above and beyond. Nothing is really cheap. $14 for a no-frills salad bar seems pretty high. But, one can have a steak and baked potato for about $20, and that beats the price at a steakhouse. read more

This place sucks... It's got this cafeteria vibe and not a true comfortable Sizzler restaurant vibe, almost like a fast-food restaurant. The entire layout is so inconvenient. The stupid salad bar, which the food sucked btw, is placed in the middle of the establishment, but it's just feet away from the register counter, bathrooms, kitchen entryway, and of course the seating tables. Way too much foot traffic people! Bottom line is, the place is way too small to fit all that shit in, especially a traditional Sizzler restaurant! Most importantly, the employees there show no interest in making things right or answering questions the professional way, when not offering to get a correct answer to a question or problem. We did mention that the steak was over-cooked, after realizing when asked to check it, to see if it was cooked right when the plate was brought to the table. The damn employee didn't even bother to offer to take the steak back, instead just stood there with a stupid blank stare as if they showed they didn't care or didn't want to do anything about it. It's fine, we'll eat the damn steak like that, but what's the point of cooking a steak the way the customer wants it, when it's not gonna be cooked the way they want it?!! But the main thing that really pissed us off is when we ordered another entree to go, (Steak and AYCE Shrimp), we used a gift card that only had like $8-$9 left on it. When we gave it to the cashier, she scanned it and looked confused as if she didn't know what she was doing. The screen display then showed the remaining balance of the total bill, thinking the gift card was applied... Wrong!!! After some seconds or so go by, the cashier seemed to again look confused. Hesitantly, pressing buttons on the register and scanning the gift card again, she then replies that the gift card had a zero balance on it. Of course it does, since you already scanned it and applied it to the bill, idiot!!! She obviously didn't know what she was doing, but instead of asking management or another employee, she still insisted that the gift card had no balance on it! We decided that, instead of arguing about it and asking to speak to the manager, it got to a point to where we realized that not coming back here to eat again, is a good enough reason not to complain. Looks like we'll be going to the Sizzler in Lake Balboa, where it feels like a real restaurant! read more

This was a first visit for my wife and I. Was pleasantly pleased with this location. The food was standard Sizzler fair, I got the malibu chicken dinner and my wife got a steak dinner and it was what we expected from Sizzler. Not the best ever but decent enough. Nothing bad about it. We also added on a salad bar for both of us. The salad bar was pretty standard and had a decent selection. My wife wanted tacos though at the salad bar and all they had was ground turkey meat and no regular ground beef for tacos. I found that very odd. Also I noticed a thing of melted cheese (I guess intended for the chips?), but there sadly wasn't any steak fries at this location's salad bar. They need to keep a better eye on and pay attention to the chicken at the salad bar better. I went up twice only to find cold chicken wings & strips at the salad bar with the chicken tray almost empty and no fresh hot chicken in it. That was a bit of a let down. Otherwise this place was pretty good and the rest of the food at the salad bar was satisfying and the service was just fine. Much better than the recently closed location we use to go to on Sherman Way & Balboa. That place was always horrible and I wasn't surprised it finally closed. About the only thing that took me back a bit at this location in Chatsworth was the price for the 2 of us. The total cost was well over $50 just for my wife and I, and we only ordered one drink. I think the salad bar "add on" with a dinner price for seniors should be lowered to a way more reasonable price like $4.00. Especially after ordering two full meals. All the other cheaper options for the salad bar included a small bowl or a "one trip" deal which turned me off. So, all in all, if or when we can afford to go back we just might. It was good enough to go back but the price was a bit of a shocker to us for being a Sizzler. read more

Came here Sunday night - they close at 9, but who knew they would take away the ice cream and toppings at 8:45pm. Ridiculous. If they close at 9pm they should start cleaning up at 9, not 8:45pm. I was hungry when I passed by & got a sudden craving for Sizzler steak & shrimp. Been eons since I ate at a Sizzler; l remembered it as a pretty good value for the money -- not top notch, but pretty good for a chain restaurant. Well, my dreams were dashed. Ordered steak & 2 skewers of grilled shrimp w/baked potato w/butter, sour cream & chives. (I normally go for lower carb options, plus now I need to watch my sodium intake; but I had a hankering, so what the hey). First, the garlic toast. It was oddly limp, like soggy without actually being wet. Also very salty. Next, the steak. I ordered medium (not medium well), making sure it would be pink inside. Nope, brown. The toothpick said medium, but it was clearly well done. Still, it was edible & not dry. But also over-salted (should've requested no salt but as I'm not used to that, I didn't. My bad). Now the shrimp was the best part, but even so, just ok. Yes, a tad too salty. It was served on a bed of rice pilaf... odd given the potato, but whatever. It was fine, except now it was doused in the lemon juice I'd squeezed onto the shrimp. Fine, I love lemon; weird for rice though, lol). That leaves the potato. How can you go wrong with a baked potato w/the works? I don't know, but it wasn't great. Instead of being buttery-yummy, it was kinda oily & just disappointing. Maybe my memories failed me. Maybe I dared to dream too big. Meh. Your $20 would be better spent elsewhere. read more

LOVE Sizzler!!! I was just at this location last week. It's WAY too small for how busy it gets! But the food is great!! They have an awesome salad bar selection (including tacos, spaghetti, ice cream & soup & salad). And if you haven't tried the MALIBU CHICKEN, it's incredible!!! It's basically fried chicken with ham, Swiss cheese and this delicious dipping sauce. Don't rat me out (LOL!), but I always order the Malibu Chicken with SOUP & SALAD BAR. I save the chicken for the next day. That way I get two-three meals out of dinner. It's a great deal! read more

My son had to leave before his meal came out (a burger?). We asked for a box and that didn't even come soon enough for my son to take his burger with him. My husband went up to Cashier, told her what happened and asked again for a box. She said "sorry". We then asked to speak to the manager. We waited another 15 minutes and the manager never came to our table. While we were waiting for the manager, another couple asked for their money back because they had been waiting 30 mins. The table in front of us was dealing with the waitress because their order was all wrong. The manager did speak to the couple that wanted their money back but ignored us, never came to our table. Well, I was really excited that Sizzler opened up close by us, we decided to finally go tonight after that just opened rush was finally over. Meal for two with tip: $50.00, Italian Herb chicken and a Steak W/ Shrimp, 2 unlimited salad bars and 2 soda's. Our food was 4 star, fresh and tasty. But it's the little things that turned us off, the space is very small, and I didn't really care for the salad bar arrangements. Also, it's set up half buffet half restaurant, it was all just a little bit awkward and confusing. However, I enjoyed Velvet, our salad hostess. When we got up to get food, we came back and others had taken our table, if I had seen that coming I would have done something to prevent it. It also bothered me more than I would have ever thought it would, was the upfront payment before your even seated, there is a space where it says TIP, well I put zero, tip who? the cashier or our server with whom I have no idea even deserves a tip or how much? cant imagine alot of people are tipping in this way. Our first time here it looked like everything was pretty much self serve, but they have waitresses who bring your food, get you refills, and anything extra you want or need and rarely do they get tipped it seems, I handed her $7.00 before we left and she was definitely shocked, I said to her, "by the way they have this place set up u don't get tipped very often do you?" Her reply was a sad face... Please tip the waitresses they really do deserve it. Suggestion to the franchisee owner: when a waitress comes to a table she should be provided with a stand to put the receipt in or a little something to let others know the table is taken while the customers check out the salad bar and get initial drinks. Also, you need to figure out how the staff can get better tips... Run the other way!!! Inexperienced and poorly trained staff, poorly up kept and stocked salad bar (even though this location is brand new), cold baked potato, overcooked steak. Worst dining experience we've had for a very long time. When one of the only things you're actually "cooking" is steak, one would think it would be well executed, right? WRONG! I ordered a steak cooked medium rare. It came out and right away our server asked me to cut it open to make sure it was cooked correctly (ok, red flag #1). It was completely overcooked-not a smidge of pink in it. I said, unfortunately no it was not. She apologized and promised another would be right out. 20 minutes later, my husband is now finished with his meal and still no replacement steak. The server finally comes over to check on us and when we ask about the steak, she says "oh yes, it's coming right up." (Yeah right) Finally, after another 10 minutes, the manager brings out the new steak. You guessed it, still overcooked. The manager apologized and offered to comp my meal which was the right thing to do but at that point I just wanted out of there (my husband had been finished for 30 minutes at this point). I will only give this establishment 1 star because I can't give it 0. I have never had such a bad overall experience that I wasn't willing to try something a second time...until now. We were so happy when they opened up the Sizzlers in the place of our favorite Carrows. I have to tell you we always walk in 20 minutes before they're ready to close and they're always very welcoming. They have the best staff from managers to service people to waitresses and Waiters everyone always has a smile and always seems genuinely interested in how our day is going remember Russia's us out and we'll actually talk to us while they're cleaning and we just keep coming back here cuz we love it. I took my wife and my 88 year-old father to this Sizzlers tonight. We spent @ $85 for nice salads and very BAD steaks. I expressed that I wanted the most tender cut of beef (they had) for my aged father...cooked Medium. The management recommended their New York Strip (for his teeth). I wondered but agreed and made sure they understood why it was for my father in the Wheel hair. So...it came to the table as Tri-Tip WELL Done. Huh??? I even had to pay for the switch from TriTip to NYstrip!!! Then it took them "forever" to cook another one, while my father's food got cold. (Mine was all wrong and cooked too much as well). Beware! We just left after having our entire check for our family of 5 refunded. Our first steaks were well done after asking for rare and medium rare. The second steaks that arrived were green and rancid. No joke. Never in my entire life have I ever seen steaks that color. We immediately told our kids to stop eating anything on their plates. I'm so disgusted and feel sick to my stomach over the whole thing. The manager did refund our bill, but didn't seem overly concerned that I was telling him that we were served rancid meat. I saw great reviews and I saw poor reviews so decided to try it myself. So incredibly disappointed. We got our steak which was to be medium rare and it was well done. We showed the server and said is this medium rare? He looked at the stick in the steak and said yes see it says medium rare---huh? Just have to laugh. Food cold overdone, salad bar had many empty spaces and what was there i.e. Taco fixing did not look appetizing. Girl taking out order was very rude. If you are a senior and order a small plate meal you get a free drink. If you are a senior and order a regular meal you have to pay for your drink. Now does that make sense??
