Went here bc it waa close and last minute. First time ever trying a sizzle, so expectations weren't really high after reading the reviews. Everything looked good on paper but our steaks were over come, ordered a med rare, instead got a medium close to well. One side looked grilled as seasoned the other looked boiled....on top of it all, all I treated was char/burnt char, gross. We ordered kids cheeseburger with cheese, it came without cheese, told our waitress we specifically said we wanted it with cheese...she says it's $.50 to add cheese...ugh, whatever just add cheese, well now the burgers are overcooked bc they had to heat it with cheese. I have been going to this Sizzler since it opened a few weeks ago. Today I spoke to Benito about the horrible service. I ordered the same as I do every day steak and unlimited shrimp for 20.00 and always leave a 10.00 tip...-I waited a very long time for the meal and it took almost 20 minutes of sitting and trying to flag down the waiter, throwing up my arms waving .. to bring out an order of shrimp....it never came...so I went to the front and complained to Benito.. Well he was not helpful at all... he said he couldn't give any money back on the meal but a 20% discount when I come back.. Well I was not asking for a refund I wanted my dang shrimp.. I was very offended that he said he has to talk to the waiter and dismissed us.. We walked out..unhappy and disappointed. Went to this location because Black Angus had a long wait. Boy did I make a mistake. No AC so we were sweating. Ordered the salmon for my four year old and later that day she became sick. The Latina cashier on 5/25/19 around 5:30 pm is a crook! She told me the total for what I ordered was $20.79. I gave her $20.64. I told her I have the rest of the change in my car and I will bring it to her. So as I did, the place got busy. So my order was being cooked and eventually my order came. I got up and the cashier gave me my order. I gave her a quarter to pay the balance. I guess she decided that she didn't have to give me back the change. And so she kept it and left. walked in with 2 buds to try this new sizzler. My last experience at a sizzler ended up in food poisoning 2010 in a downtown wilshire blvd location. It was around 330 pm so it wasnt crowded. Paid for the buffet instead of ordering from the menu. Buffet had a lot more variety before when the tampa location next to el torito was in business. It was edible. $18.00 with drink included. I had the chicken wings (fried decent batter but lukewarm) The tossed salad section behind the main salad bar is better; toss your salad with dressing choice and then add more toppings at the main bar. Not everyone knows about this rather obscure section away from the main bar. Taco section has ground beef which looks like a turd swamp, carnitas which were ok, and turkey meat that I didnt touch. My favorite bar items were the clam chowder, the potato salad, the salads themselves tossed with dressing, and the wings would be good if hot--- but----they be not. Nothing great but if I have to pick these would be it. Other hot items such as onion rings, spaghetti etc. all depend on how long they have been sitting out, the heaters dont do a very good job of warming them up enough. Friend said he like the spaghetti. They had soft serve, only 2 flavors strawberry and vanilla (HELLO, donde esta chocolate?) And the strawberry literally smells like bug spray but tasted good. Yikes. Not kidding. Also have coffee, it wasnt bad. No really. They also serve you their famous garlic toasted bread, still so damn addictive. They have every possible condiment (ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, steak sauce, cholula, etc. all tucked away below the food prep area, why? I had to ask over and over for items. Just put them out bro. And napkins are at a premium as well, you get one whole napkin wrapped around your silverware. Then hunt for the rest like red october homie. Buffet meals usually require a stack of napkins. Tip: Grab some auto paper towels from the bathroom I guess.. Friendly service though, and the 3 of our jaws dropped when our server's shift was over, got outside and saw him get in his new hummer and leave. A fairly decent place to eat, adequate service. BUT this branch refuses to accept their own gift cards. The first time I was with a group and just paid cash instead. The manager said they were having some problem processing gift cards. Three months later I tried again. Same excuse. The manager just laughed and said go ahead and complain to corporate. I had been looking forward to visiting the new Sizzler in Chatworths - perhaps my expectations were high. I paid $15.00 for a piece of salmon that was the smallest I've ever seen. Now, every time me and my wife have been to Sizzler we have received nothing but good and friendly customer service. Tonight our server Maria went above and beyond and not because of what she did for us as a server but more for the genuine kindness she treated us with. We really felt as if she enjoyed her job which definitely shows with the service that is given. She gave great service and also made us laugh which we enjoyed. The food was also very tasty! RUN AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!! Suffered this place today. I got no garlic toast which is a sizzler classic. When I asked about it they wanted to charge me $.59 for each piece. They said they did not have the double Malibu chicken on the menu yet, but would add a second peice of chicken for almost 16$ total. I am new and 1st time visiting this restaurant. They were very busy, very friendly once the manager was on the scene it settled the problem of seating. They host a Democratic meeting on 3rd Thursday ea month, and it's loud so you might choose to avoid those nites. The food was why I quit going years ago to Sizzler. They went from fantastic to terrible gristly meat and honestly I am surprised they didn't fold. I'm glad they didn't because they're back to great again. A bit pricey for seniors note the cashier didn't point out the senior choices on the menu (I had to ask, and I am seriously silver haired LOL) I will go again, and can honestly suggest their steak and lobster as a very good meal... the steak isn't the highest quality but good enough and without gristle the flavor was there due to being well marbled. The lobster was spot on perfect. Presentation = high marks they know what they're doing. It ran about $30 as I added a soda and order of mushrooms and $10 for a tip made it $40 for 1 person eating a very upscale meal. (in comparison you're talking about $75 at a fine dining steak restaurant so $40 is quite reasonable). Aside from the food being overpriced, the service was non-existent. When I walked in I immediately noticed that everything had gone up in price (not surprised given the state of the world). I usually order the 6oz steak plate which comes with a side and a side salad - it used to cost $13.99, it now costs $16.99. I asked the woman taking my order (Frances) if I could make my own small salad - they let you do this at the Van Nuys location and I didn't want a plate filled with croutons, I wanted a healthy salad. She said, "No they're a corporate restaurant, we are a franchise. You'd have to pay $6.49 to make your own salad here." That was a no for me, I was already paying more for the steak than I wanted to. She then asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity and I said yes. She then said, "I'll make sure your server gets it." Again no, I prefer to leave a gratuity based on the level of service received. She seemed surprised that I wanted to handle it myself. My server Lulu eventually came over, reconfirmed my order and then left. She finally returned with the salad, it was lackluster. My meal was ready about 2 minutes later meaning her timing was off. She asked if I wanted any bread, I did. She brought one piece and then never returned to check on me. My steak was over-cooked. I also needed napkins and I had dirty plates on my table which were never cleared. I sat there for a good 15-20 minutes waiting to see if she'd come back, she didn't. I finished my meal and got up and left. I did see the manager taking up the first booth - I was going to say something but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. I fully understand that I wasn't dining at the finest steakhouse. However, if I'm going out, I expect service. Like everyone else, I work hard for my money and could have dined anywhere. This location was practically giving food away during the pandemic as they needed business. I highly recommend that if you're looking for the Sizzler experience, head to Van Nuys (you know.. the corporate restaurant) - they actually care about their clientele and they won't charge you extra to make your own salad. read more

In fact the entire staff was very friendly and customer service was 100% on point. The food is great and the salad bar is my favorite because everything was fresh. After waiting over 1 year for to restaurant to re model and open I had dinner there. As for a Sizzlers it is no better or worse than other Sizzlers. The restaurant was clean and servers were friendly. Two problems I had was my meal was serviced just when I sat down. After having a great salad from the bar my food was cold. The air conditioning was barely working. After asking why is was so warm inside Iwas told the AC was not replaced or upgraded. I don't think cold food and a hot room is doing good. Get the rib eye! you won't be disappointed! It is one of my top faves! The potato i do give a fail tho'. Even if you put all the fixings on it, it's still dry, but the rib eye is to die for and keeps its flavor the day after. The cilantro rice is great tho. I have yet to try the other sides. The staff is mostly friendly. I have dined in twice, once on a date and the other time by myself because I was given a coupon for buy one/get one free entree but for dine in only. So...I went and dined in by myself around 3:30pm on a weekday. Ordered one ribeye to eat now and another to take home. Of course I knew i wouldn't be able to eat the whole ribeye at the restaurant. My daughters go to this location all the time and one night when we were in the area we ended up here. The set up was not the usual Sizzler style but I liked it. Service was fast and friendly.
