For my first visit to Sizzler ever, expectations were far exceeded. I will stick to the only $15 salad buffet next time I find myself here again. I regret ordering the the steak because it prevented me from diving deeper into the bounty of the salad bar. The salad bar itself has all the staple greens (think of a paired down Fresh Choice). The chicken noodle soup tasted like a blend of Campbell's and Progresso. Hot bar has nachos, potato wedges (better than KFC), wings, and spaghetti. Ordered take out today at the restaurant. This location doesn't have outdoor seating, only take out and delivery. We called beforehand to see if they would accept their anniversary coupon for a free Malibu chicken entree and they said they would. So went to order at the restaurant and also asked if we could order their special this week which is the steak and Malibu chicken entree for $9.99. The server was friendly and said we could. They are not letting anyone inside the restaurant right now, orders are taken at the door as well as picking up food. Food was ready in about 15 minutes and the server knew we were waiting in the car, she waved us over when the food was ready. Food was hot and comes with the famous cheese bread. We got fries as our side which they put in a paper bag inside the container, which I think makes the fries soggy faster. The steak was actually cooked medium, the way we ordered it. Before COVID-19 we used to come to this Sizzler once in a while, often on holidays because it's one of the few places open. We enjoy their Ayce salad bar although the hot food choices have lessened over the years. The chicken wings are still delicious though! We usually ordered one of their small plate items because adding the salad bar to these meals is a little less and we usually take the entree item home to eat another day since we can get full off the salad bar. Although they only give you foil to pack your entree to go, most likely due to people taking items from the buffet. If you're looking for a good steak, I wouldn't recommend going to Sizzler. However, we have always liked their Malibu chicken entree even though it's nothing special. It's a processed chicken patty with ham and cheese on top but it tastes yummy. They got my order wrong so I called the restaurant. At first, the person who answered the phone said no, they never got a Grubhub order from me. I insisted and gave the confirmation number so he went back to check with his cashier. Turns out they did indeed forget the main portion of our order, 3 teriyaki chicken bowls. The guy offered that I could come pick it up. Excuse me? The reason I ordered through GrubHub was so I wouldn't have to drive out. I want to start off by saying that I am very grateful to all restaurants that are continuing to serve the community right now by offering delivery and take-out. I haven't had Sizzler's in a VERY long time, so I have to admit I felt rather let-down by the disappointing portion size of the included side dishes. We ordered the Crispy Shrimp Family Meal for 4, which included crispy shrimp, two side dishes, and toast. We received plenty of perfectly prepared shrimp and four slices of toast, just as great as I remembered! However, as you can see in the pictures, the loaded mashed potatoes (which was nothing more than steamed potato) and mushy veggies were barely enough for one person, much less four. This Sizzler is tucked away hidden by several fast food places. I initially was going towards one of the fast food places but my boyfriend suggested we eat here. I walked in and was ready to order steak and lobster (my usual anywhere that serves it) and added the salad bar to my meal. My boyfriend just got the salad bar. I went to wash up before eating and noticed they had a woman and men's bathroom along with a gender neutral bathroom that is one stall only. I grabbed my plate and loaded it with all the greens and vegetables of choice. I was disappointed with several of their vegetable choices like the broccoli that was coarsely chopped into small bits as were other vegetables. I looked around the rest of the salad bar and saw taco shells, nacho bar, soups, chicken tenders, pasta, and fruit. When I got back to the table we had several more plates to go back and forth to the salad bar. My salad was good. Could have been better if the vegetables weren't cut so small. I went back and tried the fruit (pineapple was delicious) the rest of the fruit didn't taste like anything. I tried the chicken noodle soup and it was watery lacking any real flavor. I grabbed a taco shell to make a taco and decided to just make nachos but the cheese was watery and tasted like goop. After several plates at the salad bar my steak and lobster arrived. I thought it was an appetizer at first because it was so small. The baked potato was larger then the portion of lobster and steak. The lobster tasted watery and the steak barely had seasoning. The baked potato was warm because it did not melt the cheese I grabbed from the salad bar to put inside it. I will definitely skip on this plate in the future. The ice cream was very watery and tasted like freezer burn. I got full with just the salad bar so a $20+ steak and lobster plate can definitely be skipped. Unlimited salad and soup is the reason for me to stop by for lunch here. This place is pretty close to my work so I wanted to give it a try. I really liked their salad and soup bar, however, Sweet tomatoes has more options and is also lesser in price. The servers are very polite, they kept checking on us, made sure my friends who had ordered the entrees are satisfied. Good for what it is. Came here on a Monday night. Super quiet. Ordered a tri tip medium rare and the wife got a rib eye med. Rare. Both cooked better than usual today, maybe because it's slow today. But both steaks were delicious and not dried out or chewy. Had to put a little salt on mine but that's because I like my food salty. I got a side of a baked potato and it was baked nicely with a dab of butter and a side of sour cream. Tried to clam chowder and I dont know why but there was just something I liked about it. Maybe because it taste like it's from a can and reminds me about my childhood hahaha. So when I come here I always look forward to their cheese garlic bread. I have loved sizzler since I was a kid. It's made me sad for several years to see them all closing. After today I feel much differently. I ordered a one trip salad and my favorite steak and all you can eat crispy shrimp. I ate half my salad, most of my steak and a few shrimp plus my garlic bread of course, I didn't feel right and decided to leave. I vomited all the way home, I haven't been able to get out of bed or off of the toilet since. This is the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had in my life. This was the cleanest salad bar I've seen in a while. There were people constantly refilling, wiping down and monitoring the bar. It reminded me of the Wendy's Super Bar of the past. The stuff on the salad bar was all fresh. The hot food was even fresh and the onion rings were still crunch. It was incredible. Our food came and the shrimp were excellent and the server ordered more for us right away. The steak was tender and flavorful. For an inexpensive steak it was expertly cooked. All of the food was great. When one of my friends went up to get a refill on her beverage, she was waiting for others. The manager came over and asked if she needed anything and she asked if they had iced tea. She started getting the flavored iced tea but didn't like it. He said he had it and would get her a fresh glass then take it to her table. She came and sat down then he brought it out to her. This was great service. This place didn't quite sizzle, but it certainly at least parboiled. I'm going to nickname it "Parboiler". Our parboiling experience started when our group of 9 dudes decided to do dinner here. The ordering process is a bit unique for a sit-down restaurant: you order and pay upfront, then you get seated and your entree is brought to your table. Meanwhile you serve yourself from the salad bar if you ordered the unlimited soup and salad option ($11.99 standalone or $5.49 when added to an entree). Our waitress started us off with a complimentary basket of grilled cheese toast. The toast was warm and crunchy and overall decent as far as comfort food bread goes. I had ordered the Grilled Italian Herb Chicken ($9.49) with the salad bar option. My entree comprised a reasonably sized piece of grilled chicken breast and a baked potato. The chicken breast was mildly dry but also infused with flavor, so the flavor nearly negated the dryness. The potato was cooked well - soft on the inside with a crispy skin. The salad bar has your standard ingredients like lettuce, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, corn, olives, carrots and cheese. I enjoyed the corn and clam chowder soups, though they were a bit salty. The salad bar also has a "make your own taco" section with hard-shell tacos, but I was unfortunately too full to try any. For dessert, there is a dessert bar with brownies and chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream. This is pretty middle-of-the-road dessert in terms of taste, but it's as good as expected for all you can eat items. Overall, the price was reasonable for the amount of food. If you're looking for good salad bar and soup options, Sweet Tomatoes is probably a better choice. But if you want a little more protein in your diet, "Parboiler" a.k.a. It was a interesting style of food service for a restaurant. 1. You stand in line to order and pay for your food. They hand you a tray with all the utensils you need for your meal and a cup for drinks. Don't give them tip yet, you leave it on your table. 2. You sit yourself and fill up your own drink & a waitress will come by to serve you bread (house buns or garlic bread) 3. Your meal gets serve to you and the waitress watches over you. 4. If you have a salad plate you can go to the salad bar. They also have a mini ice cream dessert bar. The dessert bar is free and you can get as much as you want. I had the shrimp scampi & steak combo. It was OK. The steak was very rough and hard to cut into. The pasta was a little cold, my cheese didn't even melt. The food here tasted very OK nothing special or nothing to die for. Went to have steak lobster for 2. I was not happy with a small $5 lobster that tasted like rubber. Also, the steak had some seasoning that was making me choke.
