Sizzlers, Never again! Rating you a minus zero. The steak was so dried and shaped like a small banana, the mashed potatoes "O God!" They were literally clay dough texture. Not to mention the waitress burned my buns. And for the first time I wasn't able to finish my food. The salad bar looked dirty, food here and there. I got so grossed out. They serve a very small amount of hot food when you order you plate, charges an absurd price for a full portion of food, and the a/c for winter time freeze your bones while you eat. Long line to place your order and only one cashier, so the first impression is not the best, after about 10 minutes to place the order the cashier seemed like she really didn't seem familiar with the menu, got our order placed (two salad bars) and then went to our table, the hot bar was out of chicken wings and stay out for most of our visit. The soup of the day that was advertised at the cash register was not what was available, the meatball soup was almost empty and had no meatballs and stayed that way for the whole visit, clam chowder was acceptable. Waitress came by once at the beginning to get our drink order and ask if we wanted bread but we didn't see her again for the whole night, had to track down another employee to get new bowls and plates for the second trip to the salad bar. Food was ok but the attention given to customers was lacking. Real rating is 2.5 stars but I will round up and give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

I went here for a late lunch after work today because I didn't eat any lunch during my normally scheduled lunch break and didn't eat anything after that either. I signed up for the rewards program yesterday so they sent me a coupon for a free burger no purchase necessary. You can't beat that. So I went and ordered that which was a $8.79 value. I got a side of steamed vegetables instead of a baked potato or fries to try to keep it more healthy and not too heavy so I would t ruin my appetite for dinner later. The waitress lady also asked me if I wanted a cheesy bread with my burger and I asked if it came with it which she said it did so I got that too. They also gave me a big water with ice for free which was nice. When she brought me my burger she brought it with ketchup which I don't really like too much usually so I asked for mustard which she brought right over for me no problem. The steamed veggies were served super hot and fresh broccoli carrots and zucchini and they were delicious. The cheesy bread came out super fresh and warm and was delicious I had forgotten about that it had been so long since I had been to sizzler but now I remember it and it brought back nice fond memories of going their with my family in manhattan beach when there was one on Sepulveda I think way back when. They asked me how I wanted the burger cooked to which I replied medium and that is how it came out. It was a one third of a pound burger which was nice and it had a nice char flavor. Not too juicy like some artisan burgers but still good better than a fast food spot. The bun was fresh and delicious and unique in its own special way and way better than a store bought generic type one. It came with a big hunk of super fresh iceberg lettuce a bit of red onion and a thousand island type sauce which was all good. No tomatoes I don't think but that's ok. On the side there were some pickle slices which were nice and yummy too. The burger and cheesy bread were also served on metal trays with like a wax paper over it which said funny nice things on it which was a nice touch and I really like. Better than another boring plate to me. All in all a great experience. Great customer service, the waitress even came back to check on me to make sure everything was ok which it was which was super nice and the guy at the register was super nice and helpful and had great positive energy and a friendly welcoming attitude and was accommodating as well. Very nice. The restaurant was clean and quiet with some nice and interesting and unique music on the radio. The clientele was also nice. Definitely impressed with this sizzler better than I remembered and expected and for sure recommend to anyone thinking about checking it out. Hopefully I will be able to come back again sometime soon and check out some of their other menu options like the salad bar, and soft serve bar etc. read more

Have been to this location several times. Went for the HG 6oz steak (Very Rare) for my wife and HG Endless Salad bar for me. Went to cashier for some napkins to wipe the dirty chairs. Sat at table and a person came and asked cheezy bread or dinner rolls. I answered cheezy bread. A second person asked if everything was ok. I responded that I would like to talk to the Manager. The first person came with the bread and rolls and asked which we wanted. I told her bread. The manager came and I explained what had happened so far and then pointed out we didn't have any silverware. He went to get some. He came back and the steak arrived. I cut it and it was medium. I asked the manager how was it cooked. His response was Medium. He took it back. The first person told us the steak was almost ready. After a wait she brought it out. I cut half of it for my Wife and it was barely warm. The manager returned and I told him about the cold steak and that it seemed like it had been cooked earlier and then placed in a warmer. He said he saw the cook put it on the grill. He then took the half and went to the kitchen. I finished my salad and had to go to the cashier for another plate, soup bowl and napkins and had to wait for soup spoons. The steak came back and was ok. Third time is the charm. Went to the cashier for another plate for fruit and some napkins. The dining area was never full but there were people in line to pay and place their orders. The cashier (1) had to look for napkins and try to set up the trays. Finally before we left there was a second cashier. The manager was filling the ice dispenser. This site is very dirty, tables, chairs and carpet. The staff is extremely disorganized and work as individuals. It appears there is no supervision and minimal training. I would recommend the owner close this place, hire a professional cleaning company to deep clean the entire facility, hold training by Sizzler to explain what is expected/required and reopen after all is accomplished. read more

WOW! I am so surprised to read these bad reviews! I LOVE Sizzler! My dad eats there everyday! I eat there every Sunday! They have a special going on right now. The steak including a salad bar is only $9.99. The Malibu Chicken is also $9.99. The Malibu sauce is so good. I think its a mixture between mustard and mayo. I use the Malibu sauce with my steak too. The salmon including the salad bar is $11.99. Make sure you order the salmon cooked medium because sometimes they make it too dry. My favorite is the FREE garlic/cheese bread which is also good dipped in the Malibu sauce. I use that Malibu sauce for everything! I like to go there on Sundays because they have a person making omelette and waffles. read more

Sadly, this was not a great visit. My husband's steak was well done when he asked for medium rare. Mine was too rare and I could not even chew it....there is only margarine, not butter, and I am not sure if the sour "cream" on the baked potato is really a dairy product. In Sizzler's defense, their order computer crashed right before we ordered and the manager and waitstaff were frantic. The salad bar offerings were fresh and plentiful. Years ago, eating at Sizzler was a treat and a delight. This was not the case today. The manager processed a refund on our entire meal. I don't think we're going to try Sizzler again. read more

For what its worth, the place isn't bad. The specials are decently priced and the lobster tail, although small, is pretty good.

The only complaint I have is that they've raised the prices so much that it's really not worth it any more. You're better off getting the steak and salad bar for $2.00 more and taking the steak home for sandwiches than getting just the salad bar. Although the prices may have gone up again. read more

I agree with previous customers who commented on this place. Service here can be a hit or miss now. Back in the day you almost always had great customer service. This place used to have so many nice waiters and waitresses back in the good old days but a lot of them (one of them a high school friend of mine) have quit or left. The new ones aren't so great and need to learn a lot about customer service. Their cooking here is not so great anymore either. Their steaks...well Sizzler just calls them "steak" aren't really steaks but just bland cuts of beef. The more cooked you get them--the tougher and more awful they are!!!! Never get medium or well done--it's like eating a piece of wood or charcoal if you do!!! I never order "steaks" here but my parents do and I took a bite once and it was horrible. Yeah, their beef and chicken cuts here are just like those meats in microwave dinners!! Their hamburgers are okay or pretty good though. I always order the bacon cheeseburger and the patty is delicious, really tastes charbroiled. The only thing I do not like though are that the portions are so small now. The patties used to be thicker and bigger and they used to give almost a pound of french fries back in the good old days. Their hamburger patties now are like the size of Mickey D's and more bun than meat now and they only give about a quarter of a pound of french fries now. Bummer--that's why I always have to order extra side of fries now. The salad bar is getting so boring too--same old same old. And they have dropped some good choices too like onion rings and many others. Their New England clam chowder and fried chicken wings are the only ones left that are really delish. They really need to come up with new desserts--and I mean infinitely more variety of desserts. For years, it's only ice cream that's worthwhile to get. They need to add like peach cobbler, apple pie, cookies, brownies and other dessert options. I like going to this Sizzler. I think it's better and cleaner than the PCH/Lomita Sizzler and the Sepulveda/Torrance Sizzler. I went there recently and had the 6oz. steak and salad bar and satisfied. I also really like the waitress there. She says honey/darlin/sweetie. I LIKE that. She is a very cute black waitress. The one thing I was pissed off about was a boy came in soliciting for money. THIS bothered me after the end of a nice meal and nice service. They need to watch who comes in the door. You mean to tell me this guy just walked in off the street and somehow got past the register without paying, and when he left he could have grabbed a chicken wing or something. Well here we go. I hate this location and have not visited it in MANY years. But with the closure of the poorly maintained location in El Segundo, and a craving for all you can eat shrimp, off we went. This location is clean I will give them a 5 for that but really that is where it stops. It is so old and the lay out is just not customer friendly. On a buffet type salad and drink bar you should be able to access plates and soda at will. But not here. They have the staff running there butts off trying to deliver luke warm steaks not cooked to order. While at the same time bring drinks(in a new glass, which they would avoid if they had self service beverages)making them bring salad plates each time you beg for a clean one. Then they have these divider walls all over the place making the whole buffet look like an after thought. Chef Robert and Restaurant Impossible really need to stop by and straighten this place out. So lets get to the food because it is easy to see I have nothing positive to say about the physical place at all. Ordered 2 steak and all you can eat shrimp and a salad bar. Both rare so that they could be taken home and we just eat the shrimp and salad bar while we are there. That is the only way this place even comes close to being affordable for a family. The salad bar, looks OK selection is very limited. Only one kind of nasty lettuce, Ice Berg. The Romaine was only available with the Cesar salad all ready mixed of course. topping for the salad were limited but appeared fresh, I forgot my thermometer so I could not take temperatures as I usually do. The soup vessels were near empty and the chicken noodle had (at the bottom) only chicken and no broth. So off to the hot food bar, everything again looked OK only tried the boneless chicken with Franks hot sauce dumped over it. It was OK and chicken was warm. Spaghetti noodles were cold, meatballs looked like from a can. let me not forget the meat for the tacos, some where between Jack n the Box and Taco Bell. Oh, the steaks almost forgot. Ordered RARE so they could be reheated the next day to med rare, both steaks came out med rare, still works but the point is not what I ordered. The waitress did not offer a choice of dinner rolls served with their over sweet butter or their bad cheese toast. She just brought us rolls. Will I go back, I am on the fence on this. We went in for dinner and we had 2 coupons for a free salad bar with the purchase of an entree. We ordered an entree from the "Honored Guests" menu and were told that the free salad bar was not available with the "Honored Guests" menu as it was a discounted meal.
