I knew this was going to be a good place when the line on Sunday morning was out the door. We waited maybe 15 minutes to be seated. The food was all great and tasted homemade. I especially loved the huge, fluffy biscuits! I also loved my ham - it tasted smoky and sweet and juicy - not at all overcooked. My husband got an omelet with a side of hash and ate everything on the plate. He really liked the homemade salsa that came with his omelet. I would definitely go back here. As a huge foodie, I enjoy trying out the local eats. Beats IHOP and Waffle House any day! At first glance, we were a little bit concerned with the amount of cars in the parking lot at about 945am on a Saturday, but the line went so fast - we were seated in about 5 minutes. I can't say anything about her CFS, but the fries were pretty unimpressive- medium thickness, no discernible crunch or saltiness. My waffle was overly dense (even the syrup just kind of sat on it) though the sausage was good. This place is really awesome! We go quite often. I recommend coming before 8 on Saturdays so you'll have the pleasure of CiCi to wait on you. Have been going to this place for years and have never had a bad experience. Something for everyone but highly recommend getting the Greek food. Best homemade Greek salad dressing that they actually sell by the bottle- my family pretty much buys it by the case. My personal favorite meal here is the gyro plate but as a kid I loved their French toast (they sell breakfast all day). Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I got the gyro sandwich, which I would assume at a Greek restaurant would be on point. It absolutely wasnt. They use the shitty frozen gyro meat that has a weird rubbery taste, wrapped in a pita w uncomfortably thick tomato slices and onions and some tzatziki. That's its. No feta. No cucumber. No leafy greens. No olives or pepperacinis. Nothing delicious. It looks and tastes like something a sad old bachelor would make that's only eating for sustenance and not for a delicious meal. A burger has more vegetables than their gyro sandwich. It also had an uncomfortable amount of gyro meat- like have some balance. The fries are also uninspired, saltless and prolly the cheapest they could get from their food distributor. To make a very unsatisfying meal worse was the server who ate in front of us and only came when she was called. the hostess/busser girl was the only one that asked us if we ever needed anything (props to her- she should prolly be a server instead). read more

My husband and I are in disbelief because of how we were treated on 9/4/16!! After going here today, Sunday, after church we fully expected a reasonable wait. We had our 5 yr old daughter with us who ended up being so patient. After being seated, a nice lady came over and took our drink orders and brought the drinks right back. A different lady came over and took our food order. She was less than pleasant and was very irritated towards me, since I was inquiring about breakfast options for children (since they do not have a kids menu) or so I thought that was the reason. She had an attitude and would not even look at me, however when my husband spoke she looked at him and seemed nicer to him. She was also much nicer to the tables around us. We placed our order within 5mins of sitting down and waited about 50mins to get cold pancakes, soggy undercooked French toast and a cold bacon egg sandwich with cheese that wasn't even melted. My husband asked about our food order only after 40mins of waiting and seeing two different families who came in after us, get seated, eat and then leave. One family had 3 people in it and the other family had four people. We also saw several people who were already seated near us, order after us and get their food before us. The response the waitress gave when my husband asked about our food was, "food orders get placed in order of how they are taken and your order must still be towards the back". She seemed pissed that my husband asked about our food order, so he apologized and said he didn't mean rush her or bother her. Again, he wouldn't have asked but when we saw others who came in after us eat and leave before us something didn't add up. Plus, our bill was $40 for 2 pancakes, 1/2 order of French toast and a side of scrambled eggs and a breakfast sandwich. You can view the menu on their website and add those items up for yourself and see that it doesn't total $40. We couldn't even read the ticket waitress wrote up understand how our bill was $40. I didn't eat the French toast and he tried one bite of the pancake and that was enough for him. He stuck to his cold egg sandwich. We even had to ask for syrup for the cold pancakes and the waitress seemed inconvenience by that request. In all the only thing my husband and I could figure out was that she must have not like that fact that we were an interracial couple (he is white and I am black) and have a biracial daughter. Everyone else in the restaurant were white, including the waitresses. We don't judge or treat people different based on the color of their skin and hate when we feel like someone else is doing that to us. We won't be returning here and we will tell our friends and family to stay clear of this place. read more

They managed to squeeze us in the middle of a walkway. It was tight!!! I was an elbow away from the table next to me. I ordered an western omelette which was pretty good. This place is well known for breakfast and for good reason. I recently had the kielbasa sausage, biscuits and gravy and fried mushrooms. They have the best fried mushrooms I have ever eaten anywhere. The Kielbasa was cut opened and grilled which was excellent. The biscuits and gravy can be ordered with sausage in the gravy as it should be. They also were good but not as homemade. Home made gravy starts with a roux made from the oily residue left from cooking sausage. So the biscuits and gravy were on par with everyone else, but not the blow your socks off. They have some wonderful Greek things on the menu that I would love to come back and try. I'd like to try lunch or dinner there too. Definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Then she got upset when we politely asked if she could do our eggs over... the bacon omelet was over cooked and dry.... and the scrambled eggs were stiff. We could even hear her talk about us to the cook and other servers about us. We were very surprised to be treated so rudely when we had never dined here before and thought that if a customer is not happy with their food they should be able to tell them so they could correct it. Most food establishments want to make their customers happy so they will return but not this place. If anyone wants to have a meal at Skippers Cafe on Marina Bay Drive on Sunday be advised they do not adhere to their posted hours. They post that they are open until 2 pm, but today we were there and as we were leaving at 1:35 pm the door was locked and had to be opened to let us out. A couple came to the door and they were told that they just closed. In my opinion it you post that you are open until 2 pm, you should be able to enter and order until 2 pm. They obviously care more about going home early than taking care of their customers. read more
