Honey walnut shrimp, string beans chicken, salt and pepper pork chop
    Frankie L.

This is one my favorite local gems. For the price and taste, you can't beat it. I highly recommend the 3 dishes set menu where you can choose any three dishes from their vast menu. The salt and pepper pork chop is really good, and the string bean chicken is really tasty with rice. Portions are big, food tastes good for the price you pay. The dinner set comes with soup and rice. This is such a good deal for a family of 4. This is a no frills and casual joint, service is good for fulfilling the essentials. It helps if you speak Chinese but staff is friendly , don't expect them to check up on you though. I love this establishment and am a frequent customer.

We stopped by to try this Hong Kong style cafe restaurant which serves a mix of western and Chinese rice and noodle dishes before shopping at the Ranch 99 market. They offer a breakfast, afternoon tea, and late night menu between 10am-11am and 3pm-6pm daily including weekends. Since we arrived shortly after 10am we ordered a wonton soup noodles ($8.75) and a Singapore fried rice noodles ($10) to share. The Singapore fried rice noodles came fairly quickly even they seemed to be working on a lot of to-go orders and a large catering order. It was fresh and good especially for the price we paid! We were very happy with it but were a bit disappointed with the wonton soup noodles that came later. The noodles were too doughy for our taste so we only ate the wontons and the Napa cabbage. I asked the staff for some red vinegar for my wontons and she asked me to get it from her at the counter as she was too busy. I was fine with that as I don't mind walking so don't expect much service from this place. This is a cash only place so make sure you bring cash with you when you come to try this place. The name of this place is Daly City Sky Cafe, so Skyline's Cafe must have been its former name.

Got our usual dishes for lunch. We came around 1pm after the lunch crowd and enjoyed our meal. There's plenty of seating and also smaller seating area in the back. Nice painting on the wall.

First time here and enjoyed my dinner. Ordered chefs special "wor choy" meal of picking three dishes includes house soup and rice. Fast, efficient and gets crowded fast. Food is good Cantonese food! Can taste the "wok hay" of the seasoned woks! Big menu to order noodle dishes, or rice plates...comfort foods and drinks. Something for everybody. Solid!

I'm not sure of what we ordered if mathing!

We always go here if not ones or twice a month. The food is already reliable, dishes are well prepared, seasoned and definitely worth coming back to. We ordered 3 items for $37 + 0.50 cents for any item with beef. We ordered eggplant with chicken and salted fish, salt pepper pork chop, beef with string bean and HK crispy noodles with beef. The whole totaled should be around $50-52. I guess tax really gets you about $6. I mean if they update the prices will be greatly appreciate and a proper receipt so we know how much everything really is. Service is always fast, food seemed to be ready within 10-15 minutes. Good for dine in and take out but the restaurant is always weird, not clean or a storage of everything else.

My friend and I were on a late night grocery run next door at 99 ranch, and we were looking for a quick casual restaurant nearby! A few tables were seated at 9:00PM, but by 9:30PM it was just us left. The wall street-style artwork referencing various pop culture was interesting. We wanted to order the Beef Chow Fun, but we were a little disappointed that all the Chow Fun had sold out for the day. We decided to go for the classic Beef Bitter Melon on Crispy Noodle and the baked Pork Chop. For Hong Kong styled cafes, the food was about average and if anything a little under seasoned. We got a very generous amount of bitter melon. Keep in mind it's cash only!

Classic Chinese food for cheap and you get what you paid for. The perfect yelp rating of 3-4 stars indicates the best, authentic Chinese food. They have lunch deals for rice dishes for $8-10 and noodle dishes $10-12. I ordered: 1. Tomato beef Chow fun: Delicious! I liked the beef and the flavor of the sauce with the noodles. I wish the noodles were a bit more crunchy but either way it was still delicious. Lots of beef and the portion size was quite large for $10. 2. Scrambled egg seafood chow fun: One of my favorite dishes and they were so generous with the amount of shrimp! I did feel it needed a little more soy sauce but I guess it's better to be more bland and you can make it more salty rather than the other way around. Overall, Delicious and cheap. What else do you want in a Chinese restaurant. Lots of lunch and dinner deals. Good portion size. Decent service. I'll definitely be back!

If you want comfort Chinese/HK food at a no frills place, this would be it! The prices are very affordable (esp in the SF area) and the portions are generous. I really enjoyed the beef and black bean entree, beef was very tender. Chow fun had the classic wok taste, which made it extra tasty. The interior walls are covered with cartoon and anime murals, really cool vibe in here. Staff was great too, super attentive and nice with any of our requests! Highly recommended!

Really cheap (compared to most of today's establishments). Service is okay. Condiments are not cleaned. Hella dirty :( One time they gave us our tea and it smelled like they used a dirty rag to dry them.... Needless to say, just drank from water bottles we thankfully had in the car. I love coming here to try out the different things on their menu. So far, I've tried: Beef Chow Fun, Deep Fried Flounder, Scrambled Egg Prawn Chow Fun (Wet), Garlic Yu Choy, Salt and Pepper Pork Spareribs, Green Onion Pancakes, Soup of the Day (had celery and carrots), String Beans with Beef, Honey Walnut Prawns, Seafood Tofu Clay Pot, Chow Mein, Chicken Wings, and their milktea. Out of everything I've tried, I like the scrambled egg prawn chow fun (wet), seafood tofu clay pot, and salt and pepper pork spare ribs. Everything else is okay as well, but I'll keep ordering other things on the menu for now. Looking forward on trying their baked pork chop.

Happy hour meal- all of this for about $50 with tips (as of Nov 2023)

Good Chinese food for cheap! Just like many HK cafes, the workers do not have the best services in terms of attitude and mannerism but they are super quick! All of our food and beverages came out in less than 10 minutes! Our favorite was the salt and pepper tofu. My husband and toddler were munching on those non-stop at the restaurant! Everything else was standard for Chinese food and tasted good. Skyline Cafe has deals throughout the day! We came during the evening happy hour (before 6pm) and got a full meal for around $50 after tips and taxes. Totally worth it! The customer services are slightly better in person than over the phone and most of their customers are Cantonese speaking. One of the servers was kind and even helped us pack our leftovers. The cashier lady needs to be a bit more patient though. She seems to always be in a rush even when it is not busy. Unlike traditional HK cafes with the bright white lights, this place is filled with colorful artwork like Pokémon and Mario World. Super random but the paintings kept our one year old toddler entertained throughout the whole dinner. Note: cash only!

    Braised tofu with seafood
    Eric B.

We came by for dinner and this place is cash only. The restaurant isn't the cleanest or fanciest but gets you filled up with good food. They have a 3 item special that comes with rice and a soup for about 35 dollars, which we normally go for. This time around, I also got a baked spaghetti dish on top of the deal. The staff was okay overall, we had to wait to see if we should seat ourselves or have them seat us. Three different people took orders from us but one lady was a little rude and I didn't get good vibes from her. At the end of the day, I came here for a meal to fill my stomach up. The braised tofu was pretty tasty and flavorful, it soaked up all the sauce it was cooked in but I didn't try out the seafood because I'm not too big of a fan for seafood. The soup was delicious and refreshing to start off your meal, it was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The baked spaghetti was pretty mid to be honest, I didn't expect it to be like how it is in Hong Kong but it lacks in comparison to a lot of places in the Bay Area. The sauce was clumpy and almost tasted like flour, and there wasn't enough seasoning in the sauce but the pork chop was tender and delicious! The Peking sparerib was the definite winner here. It hit all the marks in what you would expect in a Peking sparerib, sweet, savory, tangy, and tender!

Authenticity where you least expect it.   Heck, their satay Beef noodle is better than authentic.   I'm almost never in this part of town, then I finally visited, and I'm hooked. My friends as well.   And you know you're getting authentic Hong Kong CCT food when you look around and there's not a single simplified Chinese character in sight, and the dedication page of the menu is written in colloquial Cantonese.   Basics: The milk tea is good and they also have yin yeung AKA coffee milk tea. Both served in the standard coffee cup of HK.   To prove the authenticity, their brisket stew that I got with their thin noodle. The large pieces of soft brisket with its melting connective tissue expressing deep notes of soy, star anise, and other warm spices. A mundane description to any of us Cantonese, yet something few know of outside our culture, and as my friend said, the best in the bay area. The only way for the brisket to get this tender flavorful throughout is hours of slow cooking on the stove, and few competitors come close, or feel as healthy. (There's another good brisket stew shop in San Bruno, but I feel guilty eating there.)   And the noodle. These aren't chowmain noodles. It's got a springy bite to it that I haven't experience in any other food.    And any time you order a noodle soup here. I fully recommend that you order their fried fish skin as well. Crispy, crunchy, delightful, and perfect for dipping in the soup and soaking up the flavor. You can enjoy them as is too of course, just that, you know, oil.   My girl wouldn't stop talking about the rice rolls in the appetizer combo, and while the entire bowl is good, and fundamental to the culture, the slipperiness of the rice roll is quite addictive.** The black pepper beef stir fried macaroni, a recent invention out of HK, was well recreated here, with lots of wok-hey. Well approved by my friend.   And in a world of abundance, the little details make a world of difference.   Their wontons, for example. Not the biggest, but the wrapper was thin, translucent, and silk. The filling was very shrimpy, with a chef's touch: powdered dried seafood. I believe it was dried and roasted flounder.* That twang made for everything. I get it as an add-on whenever I'm there now.   And to see them dressed with yellow chives in the wonton noodle soup, +100.   My phatarse couldn't hold back against trying the stuffed youtiao on one of my visits, and while the youtiao was very crispy and guilty, the masago elevated the dipping mayo and the twang of wasabi really made the day by cutting down any oil that managed to stay behind.   And then there are items that's better than authentic.  Try the satay beef noodle here, then have it again in HK. Yes, the instant ramen noodles are authentic. The rich yellow broth is not. That's not kurry, that's their satay, which is full of peanuts, and a far cry from the average diswasher-esque presentation you'll get in HK. --------- So, the big bad elephant in the room. Parking, and reasons to be in the area. For dinner at least, this is not an issue. There's usually parking across the street just outside the Trader Joe's. You could try to park upfront, but mind you, get trapped and you'll end up in Oakland.  We wouldn't want that now, would we. Don't be stupid, park across the street.  The 8, 12, 19, and 27 are blocks away. Costco is nearby, there's Sightglass, as well as (again) Trader Joe's.   * Could be dried shriimp roe though. (Japan has kazuobushi. Korea loves their dried anchovys. These and dried shriimp are our answer to Japan.)   ** No. Cantonese rice roll/豬腸粉 is nothing like Korean rice cake. It's not chewy.

The service was quick and efficient! I ordered the iced HK milk tea and from the first sip I could tell this place would be good. Perfect amount of milk to tea and not too sweet :) For an appetizer I got the spicy sesame chicken or in Chinese we call it mouthwatering chicken. I do wish it was a bit spicier or numbing but the flavor was great and I enjoyed the cucumbers that were included. They provided a good contrast in texture. For the main I got the spicy Szechuan beef noodle soup with wide egg noodles and added wontons. You cannot miss the wontons here, they are big, plump, and juicy. Props to them for not skimping out on the shrimp. The wonton wrapper was also delicately thin and perfectly cooked. All signs that the kitchen knows what they're doing. Their chili crisp is good but maybe as a spicy lover I wish it was even spicier!! All and all, these might be my favorite wontons in the city thus far :) I will definitely be back!

Cheesy, tender, egg fried rice was flavorful. Portion kinda small, as the dish was very shallow. Not a lot of rice. Kinda off tho when it was the first dish that arrived to the table and it was lukewarm. I find a baked dish is typically always last since it needs time to bake, and is served scalding hot imo. That's when you know it's done right. This wasn't that. Suss The baked pork chop with cheese and tomato sauce was so disappointing and super greasy/heavy. The meat was chewy and had an unpleasant flavor. The tomato sauce was not good either. The shrimp wonton noodle soup I sadly cannot recommend, the filling was not good. Had more pork than shrimp consistency. I did not enjoy the flavor. Not aromatic. I will say, the noodles were great quality. Thin, bouncy, correct texture. What you would hope for. The soup was not good. The roast duck was good, with tender meat and fatty skin. Flavorful with the plum sauce. The fish congee was good, though a bit too runny imo once cooled down. The fried donut (you tiao) was crunchy and very doughy. Would be nice if they could slice it. I can agree with everyone about their thoughts on the 18% mandatory tip fee, it's crazy lol. Mandatory service fee for hk service (which is minimal service). It was so hard to flag down the waiter for refilling water, or to get more napkins. The place was empty and they were on their phone the whole time. Waiting for that automatic tip. Whatever man.

There's only 8-10 tables, with one large table. I was told this place only has one waiter/ cashier. So you need to bring your patience when you eat at Suily's Cafe. I spotted something on the menu I just had to try......"Hong Tao Yee Won Ton Soup." It is rare to find this style of Won Ton Soup in a Chinese restaurant. But Suily's Cafe has a unique way to serve it. They serve the hot soup and the deep fried won ton dumplings separately. You add them as you eat, and they stay crispy. The thick soup was loaded with egg, tofu, cilantro, mushrooms, and green onion. OMG, the soup was boiling HOT! I had to gently sip it. Then gradually I added the crispy won tons. Wow, the ten dumplings loaded the bowl. These plump won tons and the thick soup made for a satisfying meal. Price: $12.00, serves 1-2 ppl. Yes, I would definitely return if I was in the area. Note: The restroom is way in the back, pass the kitchen. Meter parking on the street. There's a Walgreen's shopping plaza across the street. Located at San Pedro Rd & Reiner St, near the Colma BART Station,

For years, I've been curious about Suily's Cafe, so we decided to stop by on a weekday for lunch…read morearound noon. The place only holds about 8-10 tables, give or take. It's your typical, no frills Chinese restaurant. The guy who served us was quick, efficient, and bilingual (English and Cantonese). *** O U R P I C K S *** BLACK BEAN SAUCE CHICKEN WITH CRISPY CHOW MEIN NOODLES (Hong Kong style) ~ noodles were crispy, fried well, and covered with gravy and chicken. Chicken was tender but tasted plain without seasoning. The gravy was well seasoned with fermented black beans. 4/5 STRING BEANS WITH CHICKEN ~ ordered this dish not knowing it had the same gravy as the crispy noodles. This was good, but the chicken was like the other dish, unseasoned. 4/5 SALT AND PEPPER PORK CHOPS ~ we got a mound of pork chops! But there's a lot of crispy, crunchy batter on it. And the meat was also pretty plain, seasoned with maybe only salt and black pepper. 4/5 You get a generous portion of food for $10- $15 a plate, but I feel the meat would taste better if it was properly seasoned prior to cooking. Other than that, the amount of food will carry you through for a few days! So if you're looking to stretch the dollar, this might be your go-to spot!

We got it with the black truffle sauce ( I highly recommend that one). It tasted so good, not like a normal fry. more squishy inside and very crunchy on the outsides. Popcorn chicken: super crunchy exterior, juicy interior, everything you want in a popcorn chicken! Seafood Tom Yum Cream Pasta: it was pretty good! a slight kick of spice but nothing I couldn't handle. The seafood was also pretty good, not too fishy/seafood taste (which was perfect for me!) Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop Noodle: the pork chop was nicely fried and breaded. The noodles had a sweet soy sauce kinda of flavor and overall was very yummy. After every $20 spent (I think), with your bill, you get a restaurant scratchers that has some sort of coupon or prize associated with it. We got $2 off the next order AND a free drink! Super slay!

They have scratch cards where you could get the chance to win free food or a cute blind box. The service was also good! My friend and I got a tofu pudding each - I got the signature one and she got the sweet red bean one. We also got the popcorn chicken to share! Overall, the food was pretty decent snack food, and I'd come back again to try new items :)
