This was our first time at Smashburger, and we couldn't have had a better experience! The facility itself was clean and an incredibly comfortable despite the heat outside. The ordering process was smooth and timely. By far, however, the most pleasant part of our experience was Dwonya. Her service was prompt, friendly, informative, and accommodating. I was we lived closer so we could visit all the time! The food was delicious, and the burger was as gourmet ad any steakhouse: flavorful meat, great texture, and fresh ingredients. Smash my burger and call me full, this place is awesome!!!! It's pretty uncommon to get so much flavor infused into a quick griddled burger but they've found a way. I had never been to a Smashburger and did not realize it was fast food. I called in my order and thought I was being punked. I hung up, called back, and realized it was just a disaster. My food was ready when I arrived. The burger did not look like the picture-at all! It was basically a McD's dollar burger with toppings. Glad to see a Smashburger in the Boston area. I haven't been to a Smashburger since I moved to MA. I find them comparable to Shake Shack for a fast food burger place. Love the burgers and tater tots. The milkshakes are also pretty good though I didn't try one as I ordered my food for delivery. read more

This smash burger is so ghetto. The staff are rude and no matter what time you walk in here it looks as though the whole restaurant could use a good cleaning... This Boylston street location has been under poor management for a little over a year and no matter how much the employees change and the management changes , it seems as if they can never get it right .. The employees cuss like sailors, depending on when you come in here there is rap music blasting and I've literally seen employees roll up weed in the lobby .. I stop coming to this location for all these reasons . Noticed after not coming here for two months that it seemed the staff and management had changed hands within those two months . Decided to give it a try but I see nothing has changed .As of today employees are still cussing loud . I spend $10 on tenders only and employees are cutting them in half because they've accidentally dropped four instead of the five I paid for . An employee asked another employee to fill my fries because they were under filled and the response was " they get what they get " . I will not be back , I've had my last meal from here indefinitely. I'm not even sure how this restaurant is still standing because it really needs to be shut down indefinitely.. the customer service here is garbage. Mix that with the food not consistently being great and you have a bad business. This can't be a representation of smash burger stores everywhere and I hope change comes to this location soon .. The saddest part of this all is mostly adults work at this store but the work ethic's are giving children vibes . read more

Had their great burger today at the Copley Sq. location. Menus only show double burgers for some strange reason so you have to ask for a single if wanted. Unless owner got a fantastic rent deal, it will be tough competing next to Wendys. The location is next to GNC has had a ton of failed restaurants. Door & windows are set back from front of bldg. making it easy to miss as you walk by. Out door signage is high & easy to miss so they really need a illuminated sign in the window. From across street sign lettering is too close together making it less readable. The restaurant is spacious and well laid out, but unless they can attract more foot traffic inside, it will be difficult. BTW the building being renovated a few doors down the way is the new home of Chik-fil-A. Sincerely hope they succeed because they have great burger. read more

I love me some cheeseburgers and Smashburger did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some cheeseburgers, fries and a milkshake all of which were delicious. The milkshake was awesome, to no surprise because they use Haagen dazs ice cream. Lots of delicious burger options in Back Bay, and this is another good one. read more

Staff was not very friendly. They are very short staffed. So, I will hive them a break, but fries were not fresh and really salty. My friend ordered a plain hamburger. She got a cheeseburger with everything. She got a second and got a cheeseburger. They got it right by the third time. My cheeseburger was good. I would like to give 1.5 stars but it is not an option. My first experience with Smashburger ever and they messed up my order- only delivered 1 burger - we had ordered 2 total burgers. SO my spouse got a burger and i had to make other arrangements. Mistakes do happen but what really pissed me off was when i phoned to say this to the store. FIrst some guy from the kitchen answered and i explained my situation. He was uncertain as to what to say to me after asking me my name etc. Then after 2 minutes of talking gave the phone to another girl who said that they could just refund for the burger that they did not send. Totally insensitive to the fact that this was supposed to be someones dinner and now that person has to organize food from elsewhere. When i asked this girl why they could not just send out the burger she said that maybe i could just come pick it up or send out postmates or doordash or whoever to pick it up. I ordered my food through Smashburgers website so i would expect the store to fix their error and send out the food if they missed something. I was going to order again but just phoned the store - Rachel the manager gave me a refund and that was that! i just didnt want to hassle placing another order after the first 2 imcompetant peolpe i spoke to at this store. Rachel the manager seemed more confident speaking with me over the phone and had she spoken to me on my first call instead of the 2 incompetant people i spoke with, id have probably ordered again but i didnt feel confident that this place was organized enough and did not want to deal with a hassle of another order. My advice to management is to train their staff to deal with these issues. I really did not want my money back- All i wanted was my food sent out if they missed something - without me hassling over it. read more
