After walking in and standing at the counter for several minutes, all three employees looked directly at us multiple times and never said be right with you or acknowledged our existence. Absolutely no urgency when moving around in the back to prepare current orders. when I asked to speak to the manager, Brandy, the shift leader walked up and advised me that she had been working 12 hours and shared that they are currently understaffed and have undertrained employees. After getting my food, my burger was burnt and oversalted with grease running down my hand. My fries were cold and hard. By far the worst burger I've ever had anywhere, not here but anywhere. I stopped in for the YEE. I was greeted immediately by 2 of the employees. Nice to be welcomed. I ordered the Brisket cheddar bacon double, peanut butter shake and a large Smashfries. It took no more than 10 minutes. I brought it home to consume. The burger was wrapped up in a messy way. Maybe to-go orders can be placed in a box rather than a paper wrapper. It would avoid cheese all stuck. The burger was filling and was of good size but the meat was not seasoned at all. A tad of salt would probably do the trick. The shake had a nice taste of peanut butter but could have been thicker. The fries were pretty good and seasoned with rosemary and garlic. They were crispy. There is plenty of seating and the food came out fairly quickly even though it was peak lunchtime. The location is a prime spot and perfect to take a break from shopping at. Love that there's a ton of parking! What I got: Classic smash burger with no cheese, double patty, and grilled onions instead of raw. Even with pickles and mustard, you could taste every ingredient in the burger. Seasoned fries: Smashburger's seasoned fries have always been a favorite of mine. Burgers! Came here with my sister. Once entered, we were immediately greeted by Nata. Told him it was my first time and asked what he recommends. He recommended the classic smash since that is their classic. I wanted something with bacon so I went for smoked bacon brisket. My sister did go for their classic smash. Double smoked bacon brisket: I asked for no pickles/cheese. The meat was super juicy and savory. Perfectly cooked. The buns were buttery. Smash tots: just the right amount of crisp, fluffy and seasoned. Classic smash: it was loaded with tons of veggies. Meat was juicy and tasted fresh. Smash fries: super crunchy and just the right amount of seasoning. Peanut butter shake: tasted just like Reese's pieces. Everything tasted good and flavorful. Throughout the time my sister and I were there, Nata and Melanie checked up on us. They took super great care of us and other customers at the store. They were super sweet, nice and friendly. I gotta admit, "Smashburger" is one of my top favorite places to grab an authentic, juicy burger. And considering they have been in business since 2007 while serving up burgers in nearly every state in the USA as well as Canada, the United Kingdom, and several countries in Central America, they must be doing something right. I had the opportunity trying out their all-new location at the Howe Bout Arden shopping center during the afternoon of Sunday 5/29/2022. Those of you that remember that Smashburger used to be at Market Square (adjacent to Arden Fair Mall) for many years before relocating only 1/2 mile to this new location which opened its doors in April 2022. This is a great location since there are several other eateries, an ice cream shop, a coffee shop, clothing stores, and a movie theater. Parking for the most part can be relatively easy since this popular outdoor center was well-planned. The inside itself is quite spacious, inviting, and open that includes a TV, a self-serve fountain drink area, and two gender optional restrooms. During my visit which was around 3:30pm, it was not very busy as I was able to walk right up to the counter to place my order. I went with an order that I have not yet tried, their "Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger". The burger itself included certified Angus beef, aged Swiss cheese, sautéed crimini mushrooms, and truffle mayo on a toasted bun. I decided to make it a meal by including "Smash Fries" which were tossed in rosemary, garlic, and olive oil and a Dr. Pepper to wash that down with. Since it was such a beautiful spring day, I decided to dine outside. After placing my order, I was given a number, grabbed my napkins, filled my drink, and proceeded outside. There is quite a bit of outdoor seating (which actually is shared with several other neighboring businesses). My burger/fries are brought out to me by the same young woman that took my order. Overall, the flavor is on point which a generous amount of mushroom and melted swiss cheese. The only minor complaint is that the patty is a bit on the smaller side. No big deal but that's the only drawback about the burger. The fries were delicious though as the 'regular' size is perfect for myself. Overall, "Smashburger" is a very good, above-average place to grab a quality burger. Prices are a bit on the higher side in comparison to In-N-Out and The Habit but still very high quality with the meat, bun, and ingredients that are used. I definitely see myself dining here again in the future since I do spend a lot of time doing my shopping (at Nordstrom Rack & HomeGoods) as well as a great spot to eat before catching a movie. With that said and done, I am giving the new Arden Smashburger four solid stars. read more

Tasty! I went to checkout Smashburger recently while running errands in the Arden area. What used to be the domes, a nostalgic getaway for childhood movie dreams is now a modern shopping and entertainment center with a great selection of food! Smashburger has a great lineup of burgers, fries, and shakes! As soon as I walked in I immediately locked in on their Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger. Yes of course I made it a double with a side of Smash tots and a drink. This burger is massive! every bite comes loaded with Brisket, bacon of course certified angus beef! Served on a brioche bun, brace yourself for a food coma! I got about halfway through and I needed a break to recharge lol. the smash tots are great! tossed in rosemary, garlic and olive oil, These tots will have you savoring every bite! Not only is my order always made right and on time (I generally order ahead using the app) but no matter who is on staff they are always friendly, competent and courteous. If I have to criticize anything (and this has nothing to do with the workerbees) it's that Corporate changed the menu a while back and started charging for grilled onions. I'm glad there is a smashburger so close to work. Good place for a quick lunch and this location is very consistent. I love their smash fries and smash tots and I really appreciate their gluten free buns which are soft and actually taste good. The seating is clean and spacious. The service was very slow, and we were trying to get a quick bite before our movie show time. The fries are also terribly overpriced. They don't come with the burger. I love Smashburger, and I am happy to find out they have opened a new location close to my work. Smashburger already has a place not far away from my work too. But the old location's parking lot is always super busy. Sometimes it stops me from going there! But this new location doesn't have parking problems anymore. It is in HBA, a much bigger shopping center with hundreds of more parking spaces available! I guess I can have my lunch or dinner at Smashburger much more often with this new location. I like the wall decorations with the Sacramento landmark - Town Bridge. The dining room is spotless and comfortable. An outdoor setting is also available too. Came here when I was in Arden area. This place is located in the same shopping center as the Nordstrom Rack. I walked in right when they opened, and was greeted by a friendly staff. I told her this was my first visit at Smashburger and was a bit intimidated by the men because they had a lot of different options for hamburgers. I stopped here for lunch on the 7th at around 3pm. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger and my Dad ordered the Classic Smashed Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I opted for Onion Rings and he chose Smash Tots. We were the only people that were eating here at the time and it seemed to take awhile to get our food. I received mine and the young lady who brought it to us apologized but assured us the chicken sandwich would be up momentarily.
