I came to Smokey Joes to try it out after watching a movie. I ordered the French dip with fries and can I say it was the best French dip I had? No, but it was decent. While the meat was unseasoned, it was moist so it had that going for it. The fries were nicely seasoned and portions were right for the price. Service was good.

    Meatlover's breakfast special

Great small-town feel, welcomed and seated right away. Our waitress/host was really friendly and always checked on us throughout. When we asked about the giant cinnamon roll, she did warn us how big it was lol. Coffee was always topped off. Huge serving sizes! We ordered their meatlover's breakfast special, split a giant cinnamon roll, plus two eggs meal, and a side pancake. We couldn't finish it all. Great tasting breakfast! We will have to come back to try their dinner menu.

Stopped in as I had not been to Sam's Town in years. It used to be a steakhouse. The restaurant was not busy at all. You could count on one hand how many people were there. It was very quiet but in the Mystic Park where the laser light show is. I ordered the taco salad. It was great. It was heavily filled with lots of meat, beans, cheese and lettuce. The tortilla bowl was not greasy at all. The dressing was a cilantro salad dressing and had tons of flavor. I really liked that the pico de gallo, salsa and sour cream were on the side My fiancé had the turkey club abs the fries were crispy. The only drawback was that the restaurant seemed deserted and was kind of humid.

Proximity to home makes Sam's Town a good choice. Celebrating two birthdays; daughter and dad. Server Francisco top notch. Friendly and quick. Her pot roast and my salmon were delicious. Would recommend restaurant to family and friends.

    Hangover Burger*

We were seated right away, and our waiter was very nice and took our order promptly. We got the Hangover Burger and the dinner special, which was spaghetti and meatballs. I added a side salad, but it didn't come out until after our entrees arrived. The food took a bit to come out, and overall it was just okay. Nothing beyond your typical burger or spaghetti. My pasta was a bit heavy on the sauce, and I probably should have asked for it on the side. The inside of the restaurant is nice, with plenty of seating. The theme gives off a cozy national park vibe, which we really liked.

My hubby and I ate here for lunch today and it was amazing. I got the smoked brisket bbq sandwich which was the best brisket I had and it was melt in your mouth and so flavorful. The seasoned fries were amazing and reminded me of an old school diner, so good. My hubby got the BBQ Ranch burger, seasoned fries, and the best hot wings. We were really impressed. The food was so good and the service was great!!! Felt so nostalgic and old school! We loved it! We highly recommend!

    Brisket sandwich with potato salad

I dont review alot, but i read them, and thats why i was skeptical about Smokey Joe's....I DONT GET IT.......I was greeted promptly, seated right away, waitress acknowledged me almost immediately, and because it was my first time in, explained specials and favorites. I chose the brisket sandwich, and it did not disappoint.....tender flavorful, great bbq sauce, high praise. I love the ambiance of this place. Like i said, i dont understand yhe reviews so thats why im leaving this.

First time here with a friend on a last minute dinner decision. The staff was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was relaxed. The seating is comfortable. We both ordered the fish and chips. They came out nice and hot and at the same time. The fries tasted great. The fish had a great texture, but no flavor. Prices are reasonable

I'm sorry other reviewers didn't have a great experience here We were in Las Vegas from 4/4/25 through 4/11/25. We spent 3 nights at another property before checking in at Sam Town. My husband and I ate at Smokey Joe's three times during our stay and we loved their food The first day we ate lunch there. My husband had fish. It was either halibut or cod. He loved it. The fish was flakey and the sauce was delicious. He ate all of it I had the chicken sandwich with the potato salad. The chicken sandwich was really good. I just think there was too much bun. The potato salad was delicious. I ate all of the salad it was that yummy. The next day we had breakfast there. I had the ham steak and scrambled eggs with crispy has browns The ham steak was moist and not dried out. My husband snuck a few pieces of ham off my plate and he really loved it. We both loved their hash browns. They were crispy and crunchy. My husband had two eggs with extra crispy bacon. He enjoyed his breakfast but said next time he would get the ham steak We also had dinner there on our last night. My husband had the pot roast. He really liked it a lot. The meat was really tender and seasoned well. The only thing missing that would have made the dish perfect was if he could have had rice instead of mashed potatoes lol I had the brisket dinner. They gave a lot of meat. The brisket was tender with just the right amount of fattiness to it. I loved their hash browns sweet bbq sauce they served with it. The baked beans were awesome! The staff provided great service. Just great guys and gals I hope they're still there when we go on our next trip

    Best crunchy onion rings
    Veronica A.

One the best onion rings we have had, pot roast was amazing. The restaurant was a little outdated and cold, our server was amazing, Ashley was attentive and courteous, my hubby got heartburn from his hangover burger, but he states it was delicious, we will def be back

We were greeted right away and led to our booth. He took our drink orders while we waited for the rest of our party, and once they arrived, we were told about their cinnamon rolls. 2 people in our party were vegan so we skipped it, but I will be trying it when we come back. I got the orange juice to drink and the french toast with a side of grits (because I feel like it's rare to find a place that does just straight grits in Vegas). Orange juice was a good size for the price, and the side of grits was a hefty portion, I was super excited for that. The french toast had cream and fresh berries on top. The french toast was soaked and griddled to perfection, thick bread that takes on the moisture very well. And the berries kick it up a notch! They have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian food, which our friends loved! When we finished up, we were offered complimentary cookies. They were warm and sooooo good! The service here was phenomenal. Our waitress was so nice and we were having quite a laugh with her, we had a great time. It wasn't too busy in here and this place is kind of tucked away, but more people need to check it out! I will absolutely be coming back to try a savory breakfast along with that cinnamon roll!

I'd call it a medium size venue with a decent amount of seating. Most definitely has that mom and pop, small business vibe to it, along with that old fashioned diner feel. You don't have to worry about parking, the lot in the plaza has plenty of spaces. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. #JUSTGOODFOOD: ~ HOUSE SPECIALTIES: JERK CHICKEN HASH - 3.5/5 Thought I'd give this a try. To me it was more like 3 *** rounded up to 3.5 **** While the dish was tasty, and prepared just like I ordered. There was hardly any "Jerk Chicken" just a few pieces of shredded chicken underneath. If this had more "Jerk Chicken" it would be a 4.5 ***** in my book. ~ Complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5 This was RIDICULOUS! They present you with a complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert when you are done. The Cookie has a good amount of Chocolate Chips and had a thin layer of something on top, possibly condensed Milk. AMAZING! Soft, warm, gooey, chewy... basically a perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie. I would buy this by the dozen! I'd come back...

So they have a sign up that says if you give them 5 stars on Yelp and show them the review within 3…read moredays, they will give you a free coffee. But I have been here three times and every time I have tried to order, it took SO DAMN LONG to get my coffee, that I just can't in good faith, leave a 5 star review. Every time I have gone in, there's one person doing everything, taking the orders, making food and making coffees. That's certainly not fair to your staff for one, who probably don't make much money and it's STRESSFUL when you're working as fast as you can, but people are waiting who haven't had their coffee. I spent 25 minutes waiting the first time and almost 40 minutes the second time (40 minutes!!!) and the last time I walked in, saw a packed cafe and NO ONE had coffee in front of them - so I just walked out. The coffee was just okay too, it wasn't hot enough the second time I went and my friends coffee had the wrong milk in it and she couldn't drink it. You can be 2 of these things to be successful: if your coffee is expensive, you need fast service and delicious coffee. You can have slow service, but it needs to be well priced and tasty. But you CANNOT have high prices, mediocre coffee AND slow service. This explains the 'give us a 5* review and show us' trick they need to do, because otherwise people like myself aren't going to go back. There are so many other great coffee places around - if you're in a rush don't go here. The atomosphere is too quiet too, you can hear everyones conversation if anyone is having a conversation. There's no music/background lofi on or anything and it's a TINY cafe. It's a little uncomfortable actually, although it does look beautiful and whimsical and cute. I can't speak on the food, I never got to try and and based on my previous experiences - I won't be either.

A special shoutout to Bailey, who took the time to explain the menu and helped me select the perfect chocolate bar to take on my flight home. Ezra made the experience feel surprisingly personal, ensuring everything was taken care of and somehow always appearing at the right moment to refill my water before I even thought to ask. I was the VIP for my hour visit. That level of attentiveness is rare. The coffee was exceptional. My mocha latte with an extra shot was perfectly balanced--rich espresso, smooth texture, and just the right amount of chocolate without overpowering the coffee. Damian was absolutely working magic with the portafilter and steam wand. Every drink coming out looked like it belonged in a specialty coffee magazine. The pastry case deserves its own mention. It was filled with an impressive assortment of sinfully tempting baked goods, and judging by what I saw coming out of the kitchen, there isn't a bad choice on the menu. I was only in Las Vegas for a few days, but finding PublicUs was one of the highlights of my trip.
