We are skeptical of 'smokin' places because we dont like 'liquid smoke'. This place doesn't use that. They make everything in house. All the food was so good and fresh. This will be our regular spot going forward. Make sure you also get some chicharrones! They were so nice and helpful whem we couldnt decide what we wanted. Great tasting brisket and grilled pork belly bowls! They make everything in the restaurant, smoke their meats, make delicious egg rolls with shredded pork. We split one bowl with noodles, portions are generous. Very friendly service, the owner explained all the choices and said they will have smoked pastrami soon. Stopped in for a quick lunch today on the recommendation of a friend. This place is FANTASTIC. We ordered the chopped brisket sandwich w/ spicy BBQ sauce and tots, the grilled teriyaki chicken rice bowl and a side of jalapeno cheese sausage. The brisket sandwich was loaded with fresh, chopped brisket that was moist and tender. The bun was substantial enough to hold the meat and not fall apart and the sauce was perfectly spicy and sweet. The chicken in the teriyaki chicken plate was the stuff dreams are made of. And I mean that literally, I have been dreaming of this exact chicken and being disappointed at other restaurants for over a decade. Perfectly grilled, deliciously marinated boneless, skinless chicken thigh meat. Served with white rice, yummy garlicky noodles and two amazing, crispy spring rolls. The jalapeno sausage was grilled, skin bursting it was so crispy. You could easily tell this was a house made sausage, with lots of jalapeno and pepper. They offered us samples of the regular and BBQ pork rinds and we bought a bag of the spicy to bring home. As someone who does not generally care for them, these are great! Crunchy and fresh, I would definitely pick up a bag again. The owner stopped in and checked on us several times. You can tell how much he cares for the food and the customers. Took the family to this new spot that popped up when we were looking for new places to try for lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very nice young man unsure of his name. After we ordered our food he offered us a sample of their homemade pork rinds that come in spicy and bbq. Both were delicious . My husband got the hot link sandwich and a side of fries while my son and I shared the smokin rice bowl with the teriyaki chicken which I'm glad we did because it was a huge portion. My husband said the sandwich was great and very flavorful. My son and I both agreed the chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Rice was fluffy and noodles were great as well. Pulled Pork - Pulled from the butt as ordered, which retains the juices. pork flavor up front, followed by a nice smoke from the bark. Jalapeño Cheese Sausage - a hefty sausage that would definitely fill a sandwich. juicy and just the right amount of heat for my taste (flavor, not burn). Found this place based of the reviews. It did not disappoint. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and were told about their best sellers. I got the brisket sandwich which was good, my friend got the bbq sandwich which said it was the best he's had. My other friend ordered the pork belly and said it was phenomenal. The gentleman at the counter gave us some pork rind samples as we waited and they were also good ( I liked the spicy better). I was expecting the pork belly to be a little more sweeter like Filipino bbq style but it wasn't! 7/10 . There's nothing special with the noodles 6/10. The eggrolls 6/10 ... would I go back?
