The wait service is good. The food is excellent. Lots of different choices that are consistently good. If you're hungry, get the burrito. If you want something hearty, it the spud deluxe. Snooze is a large chain bunch restaurant with many different locations. I've been to the San Diego location a few times, but this was my first time at the Tustin location. I don't think there's anything special about Snooze, but they are very consistent so you can't go wrong with choosing to grab brunch here. FOOD: My friend highly recommended their Shrimp and Grits, but I almost exclusively order benedicts at brunch places if they're available. They didn't seem to have a "normal" benedict option here, so I ended up going with the Barbacoa Chili Verde Benny as it sounded like an interesting mix for me. Overall, it was a solid pick, but I think I prefer the more traditional benedicts. DRINKS: A few of us ordered mimosas. I got their summer special, the Strawberry Martini Mimosa, which was super refreshing. Highly recommend this one over some of the other mimosas! SERVICE: Pretty mediocre service. Brunch places can get very busy so this was somewhat to be expected. We ordered mimosas shortly after receiving our food, but it took so long to receive them that we had to actually stop eating for a quite few minutes so that we'd still have some left to eat while we sipped on our drinks. PARKING: This specific branch is located in the huge Tustin Marketplace, so there will pretty much always be parking. GENERAL: It can get busy during peak hours so I'd recommend joining the Yelp waitlist to save time. Since it's located in a huge plaza, you can always browse other shops if you'd like while waiting. One gripe I had about this place was that their card reader calculates tip percentage based on the post-tax total rather than the pre-tax total. I always find it shady when places do this, but then again I've never worked in the food industry so I'm not sure if the card reader even has the option to change this. I was very disappointed with my food this morning. I ordered their chilaquiles on their spring menu. The portion was so small and the price was high compared to what I got. I don't think I got a good value. The chips weren't fresh but chewy. Service was great however! I thought the music was too loud. Usually I would sit outside but the weather seemed too cool to go out. I'm sure they have heaters but didn't think it was outside weather. They do have a Yelp waitlist which helps with long lines and offer water at the waiting area. The strawberry shortcake was mid. My cousin also had the pumpkin pecan pancake (seasonal) which has a good crunch to it because of the pecans. The tacos was mid and had a lot of eggs! Portions are not as big as other breakfast/brunch spots, but I did like their pancake flight selection. You can either have it pre-fixed or pick 3 pancakes of choice. Service was good but I did feel like the server was rushing us out to make space for other customers who patiently waited. My friend and I arrived at 2 pm, knowing the crazy brunch rush this restaurant gets would have died down by then. That ended up being the right call because we were seated right away after checking in. The ambiance here is definitely a vibe, especially on the patio, with their bright orange colors and plastic chairs - think casual but fun and lively. Onto the food- if you're like me and you love benedicts, then do yourself a favor and order the Smashed Avocado Benny. It's basically an English muffin topped with fresh tomato and smashed Avocado, poached eggs, parmesan cheese, smoked hollandaise, and everything bagel spice. I also added pico de gallo, because why not. Anyways, it was delicious and worth trying. Overall, Snooze was pretty awesome and I can't wait to return. Though it will probably have to be in the late afternoon again, because who wants to wait an hour plus just to eat? Just goes to show how popular they are I guess. read more

They use the best technology in ordering and paying. The best feature that we love is the online Yelp ordering they provide. While reading the headlines in the morning, I can check the line and put my name in when I plan to be there. They send me a text, we show up, and our table is ready. Easy-peasy! Personally, I dislike waiting in line for breakfast. The servers have gotten to know us over the years, so there is a friendly connection they have with their customers. This is not true of the other breakfast places where you line up to order. I like to old fashioned way that the servers get to know you. The food is good. The prices are decent. There is only one suggestion I have and that is with their musical choices. Sometimes it's blaring rap or hard rock type of music, which is not my favorite. We have to shout to be heard. Can you please tone it down a notch? What about something more neutral? Like Frank Sinatra? Classic Rock? Or just turn down the volume. On a recent visit our server, Daniel was outstanding.
