I have been going to Snuffer's for years. Burgers are great, but it Is the destination when you are craving some cheese fries. Plus you can take the family out and still catch the game on the many TVs. But the latest experience was all about the service. Our server April was amazing. Best we have had anywhere in a while. Just the right amount of attention, friendly, and asked us if we wanted dessert before bringing the check (we didn't, but we have been noticing in restaurants they don't ask even when we are contemplating it). Shaun the bar tender assumes things are done the way he thinks instead of listening to the customer. I was here on Sunday and JC listened when she was told the way I wanted my shot done and did it perfect every time. Without a doubt the worst restaurant experience we have had in the last 20 years. We came in late after a practice and asked the host if the were open. They said "yes, absolutely" and that is where the good portion ended. The waiter was beyond a doubt the worst we have ever had. We ordered a food and drinks immediately. The drinks took 15 minutes to arrive. The food order was completely screwed up. Normally this would be an understandable mistake. My wife pointed out the error and the waiters response was, "well the kitchen is closed you'll just have to deal with it". Then he walked away as we were talking to him. Honestly, they don't need the business. They don't want the business. I'm fine with going to the better options that are closer .... Katy trail, brick house, etc. read more

We came in Saturday mid lunch time for some burgers and left feeling terribly sorry for the workers. We were seated near the kitchen, where we could hear everything. I have never experienced such a disrespectful person as the manager. I believe her name is Brittany, based on the conversations I heard. I was in absolute shock at the way she spoke to her employees. She ordered them around like they were animals. It took everything in me not to pull her aside or walk out. We were on verge of leaving because of her. There is not one person walking on this earth that deserves to be spoken to the way she spoke to her employees. One of her servers walked out of the kitchen in tears and pulled herself together in the corner of the restaurant before attending to her table. I have been on a fried pickle craze this summer and sampled them everywhere. Snuffer's absolutely RULES in the fried pickle category!!! They are the only place where you get a deep battering on the pickle, so it's a half pickle/half batter bite. Most places do a super light dusting of batter which hardly even covers the pickle or generates taste. These are little nuggets of pure joy!!!! I am a loyal Snuffers cheese fry lover. But the service at this restaurant this week was infuriating. They were very understaffed. We waited 30 min. for 2 burgers. At which point, we had to ask the server for the third time about our large cheddar fries. She handled it well, owning the issues in the kitchen. 10 minutes later, the manager brought us a small or medium cheese fry. I tell her we ordered a large, she said it in a snarky response 'well it's on us' and quickly walked away, knocking my husbands credit card on the floor (waiting on the bill) and stepping over it to make her way back towards the bar. No sorry, no pick up. Had this been my restaurant, I would seriously monitor her. No empathy, never made eye contact, just really couldn't care less. I don't come to Snuffers for the burgers. I come because it reminds me of my college days on Greenville and for the cheddar fries. I can excuse an error by a waitress or cook, but an apathetic manager who has no use for her customers sticks with you. To the owner of this establishment- I'm sure we weren't the only customers treated this way. Tables on either side of us were asking about orders or issues with their order. I come in almost every weekend and get the exact same thing every single time, Original chicken strips with fries. The fries are cooked golden brown every single time, and the strips are crispy to perfection. Staff is so nice and friendly and very attentive and the managers are so happy and helpful. We used to go to the Addison location and the greenville location before and it was much better. Had the cheese fries and the mushroom Swiss burger and my husband had the classic. Tasted just okay. Eating a late lunch. Arrived at 2:00 and our fries and straws were delivered before the burgers... ( we did not request this.) ...burgers got to the table at 2:25. My second bite had a dime sized piece of cartilage in it which made it undesirable to eat.. Gave our waitress the gross object and the manager stopped by to apologize. Put in a new order for a hot dog and waited another 15 minutes or so.. They did comp the burger and then only redeemed 1/2 of the $5 off coupon, by that time we had enough, paid, and left. Had never had Snuffers until visiting this location. It's now one of our go-to spots! They have a great happy hour, awesome burgers and a comfortable environment. Came for dinner....Hubby had the swiss mushroom burger and declared it one of the best burgers he's had. I had the wedge salad....it was HUGE! Kind of weird having ranch on a wedge with blue cheese crumbles...I like the traditional blue cheese dressing but I thought I would give their way a go. The place smelled funny...like it needed a good scrubbing. Kind of like old grease, cigarette smoke and somebody that might have gotten sick ...probably will not go back because of that. read more

My wife and I have been coming to Snuffers for a couple of months now. It's a once a week outing for us and we love the food. We normally sit with our waitress Dei A. She is delightful, engaging and funny. We make it a point to sit with her but sadly we were informed she wasn't there that day. We got another waitress named Cas B who at first was not too bad, except we never saw her again once she took our food order, which FYI came out entirely wrong. We were trying to get her attention but she was too busy on her phone or talking to another waiter as we could see from our table. We have never had this problem before but we finally managed to get another waiters attention after 25 minutes of our food being brought to us and just asked for the check. We did not even eat the food but we paid for our tab and left. For once we were highly disappointed in the service. Managers are just hiring anyone regardless of their ability to do their jobs by the most basic means. Pathetic! read more

My fiancé and I like to come here for the cheese-fries and somewhat quiet nice place to have dinner and watch the games. On our visit tonight the workers at the bar were being so loud. A server got upset for getting an extra table as he wanted to go home making it very clear to everyone around. A lady in black shirt was using profanity and being extremely loud walking around all over the place telling customers, I assume regulars, at the bar that the server was being a p**** for getting upset at more tables. The lady doing the takeout orders had to YELL at everyone to be quiet as she was unable to hear someone making an order that was standing right NEXT to her. When we asked for a manager and explained the situation, to our surprise, one of the people being so loud and using profanity was a manager. Plano off of Park Blvd. I am always greeted by the staff and they have the best cheese fries ever! Fried pickles are amazing too! Great atmosphere. Service was very slow with a 30 minute wait on the food, no knife for me to cut my steak strips till I waved the waitress down, AC freezing everyone out, (noticed others putting coats on), husband's chicken fried steak crust was bad and greasy, and my fries were easily the worst ever....overcooked, primarily tiny bits, greasy, and over salted. First, let me say that I used to be able to eat a whole burger there but have had stomach surgery. My husband and I went to split one because I remember them being so amazing a few years ago. I am sure they still are. However, I am among MANY adults that cannot have seeds due to restrictions. I asked for a bun with no seeds because it can literally put me in the ER. My kid refused to eat her chicken tenders after the first bite because they were "too salty" and she never turns down chicken nuggets or chicken strips fried in any form. The cheese fries were tasty, but if we were to do it all over again, we would have gotten the smaller portion to share and not the large (because it really was huge). 12:45pm Tues. Walked in. Told to sit wherever. Yet the bartender informs us the tables by the front Windows are dirty. So we walk down toward the back and FINALLY find a clean table. Look at the drink menu. No prices.. ask our waitress. She doesn't ķnow. Ask for a mojito. Don't have. Girl was training. Her trainer not to nice. Sweet potato tots came out. A little greasy but tasty wish I would have had a side of dipping sauce. Was going but nobody ck on is. 112 and I realized we hadn't received our food just I was about to ask our food came out. They definitely makeup in their food department was it I got the patty melt. And the wedge salad. Wedge salad huge and a good value for the price. Patty melt was definitely juicy and I like the three cheeses. Mom got the lunch hamburger special and the chili. I'm not a fan of chilly but this tasted pretty good. Didn't like how they clear the table the second you were done with something even before the bill came. Felt a little rushed even though our food took a while to get there. I definitely recommend they need to add to the menu chili spaghetti that would be a hit. Overall I've had better and I've had worse. read more

Snuffers is a Dallas institution and we are lucky to have one up in Plano. We went there after softball, the first day it was open. The staff was very friendly.
