    Breakfast buffet plate
    Rachel Macie H.

Heyy everyone let's all go down to the lobby restaurant and have some breakfast because why not! So our coming here was because the hotel messed up and gave us breakfast vouchers to come here and let's just say I wouldn't pay for what they call a breakfast buffet! Well let's start off with the orange juice they gave me I don't know why but it smelled and tasted like metal so bad that I couldn't drink it nor wanted to drink it thankfully there was some V8 in the refrigerator so I was able to enjoy that! The breakfast options were your basic sausage bacon eggs and bread pudding so it was what it was everything was ok nothing to write home about. The bacon was the best part as you can't go wrong with it so I grabbed a few slices and then when I went back to get a few more that's when I found the sushi bacon which turned me off to it so I just got over it and had another piece of their bread pudding which was actually kinda yummy as it was mixed in with chocolate. Our server was very nice and friendly so that was a plus but let's just say that I would have been very disappointed had we actually payed for this. Overall if you get it for free don't complain but if you pay for it by all means don't save your money and go somewhere else because they breakfast buffet was not worth $25 per person!

Stayed in the hotel for a conference and didn't want to walk in the rain to a nearby restaurant. Ate here twice, once with customers having drinks late - wings were great, fries were good, margharita flatbread was meh. Second time was for lunch, burger tasted like it was battered in salt, fries were good. Beer was cold...

Getting a bill on the table before I actually even managed to start eating and then finding out the avocado toast was completely burnt, making it cancerous at a maximum level is not what I would expect at such a place... staying at the hotel for a few more days makes me now worried about the future breakfasts.....

Quality food in a hotel when I travel is important. The local beer was cold, salad crisp, wings properly cooked and dessert was the way to top off the evening. Well done Sheraton!

Good place to grab a bite if you are staying in the hotel. We grabbed an appetizer and sandwich. The bartender was friendly and we enjoyed talking to her. The bar and restaurant are clean and have plenty of room. Gave them a four stay because the second day the service for lunch was super slow.

Just stop in for drinks. Had a nice selection of brew on tap and a full bar. Service was a little slow but it was late at night. Has a pool table and bags inside.

Churros with salted caramel tequila ice cream. So yum.

Tucked at 435 S Tryon, this spot feels like stepping back in time while still enjoying modern elegance. The building itself is the star before you even sit down: a beautifully preserved 1929 Mediterranean Revival gem (originally Ratcliffe's Florist Shop) with original floors, red-brick walls and those stunning decorative Tiffany-style stained-glass windows. The arched ceilings and historic details make the whole room glow -- it's romantic, warm, and full of old Charlotte charm without feeling stuffy. You can literally feel the history while you dine. The menu has that perfect "olden take" I was hoping for -- classic fine-dining favorites done with fresh, New American flair. Think herb-crusted rack of lamb with rosemary jus, pan-seared Chilean sea bass, local shrimp & grits, or a perfectly grilled filet mignon; not leave out the duck, elk and emu. Everything is beautifully plated, and the portions are generous for this level. (Pro tip: add the lobster tail upgrade if you're celebrating!) Service was polished and friendly -- our server knew the wine list and the building's backstory, which made the night even more special. The whole experience felt special-occasion worthy but not pretentious. Whether you're coming before a show at the Knight Theatre or just treating yourself Uptown, Bernardin's delivers on atmosphere, history, and food. Easily one of my new favorite spots in Charlotte. Can't wait to go back!

Warm bread and soft butter is the ultimate pair. I got the escargot to start and was impressed at the texture of them. Usually they tend to be pretty tough but these weren't! The sauce they come with was very good but lightly spicy, so I would watch out for that if you have an aversion to spice. For my main, I got the filet and added in a lobster tail. The only thing I'll note is that the menu says it comes with fingerling potatoes and I don't think that's what I got. Not a huge issue obviously. I liked that the tables were a good distance from each other and the servers were very kind and knowledgeable. Everything was amazing and if I lived in Charlotte, I would be going here often.

We had reservations but it wasn't overly busy so I don't think they were necessary for that day and time but I would definitely recommend on busier times. I love the fact that this is more of a tapas style restaurant so you can order and taste a ton of options. Plates are generally around $14-22 per plate and they have enough for three or four (tapas style). We started with crab dip and oysters on the half shell (raw). The crab dip was rich and creamy and served with buttered crusty, buttered bread. The oysters were amazing too but a little nuance about these: they are listed by region (e.g. West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, etc.) and not listed as they type of oyster. Oysters vary greatly within a single region so I would encourage you to ask what specific oysters they serve for each region (they will look it up and tell you) to make sure you know what you are getting. We also ordered the calamari, small salad (unlisted option for the salad listed on the menu) and poke bowl to share. We went in hungry and probably ordered too much because this was all to start off. Everything was really good and worth ordering. For my "entree" or ordered the trout which comes with lentils and broccolini. This dish was fantastic and highly recommended. The trout was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was amazing and did a great job. Additionally, this is the perfect spot for a "dinner and a show" since it is right beside the Knight theater. Parking is easily accessible at the Green Garage right across the street.

Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.

My husband and daughter both enjoyed their steaks and had no complaints about their meals. Unfortunately, my experience was quite different. I ordered the scallops. After taking a few bites of the first one, I noticed something tasted off but initially thought it might just be me. I cut into a second scallop and while the first taste seemed normal, the more I chewed it, the stronger a chemical-like flavor became. The only way I could describe it was that it tasted like cleaning products. When I mentioned it to our waitress, she immediately asked if it tasted like ammonia. I said yes, exactly. She told me that sometimes this happens but assured me it wasn't because the scallops were bad. She offered to replace my meal and suggested lamb, which I don't eat, so i choose the chicken dish she suggested instead. By the time the replacement arrived, my husband and daughter were nearly finished with their meals, and honestly, I had lost my appetite. The chicken was somewhat dry, although the potatoes were very good. I only ate a couple of bites. What disappointed me most was the lack of management involvement. At no point did a manager visit our table to discuss the issue, apologize, or check on the situation. After the replacement meal, we were simply presented with the bill. We weren't asked if we would like to look at the desert menu and I was charged for the chicken replacement that I took two bites from. After getting home, I researched scallops with an ammonia taste and found that it can indicate handling or freshness issues. Thankfully, I haven't become seriously ill, though I did experience an upset stomach for the entire evening afterward. I'm glad my husband and daughter enjoyed their meals and I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for quite some time. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I won't be returning.
