Gyro was good. Spicy Feta Fries left much to be desired. $30 seems like a high price point for a Gyro and Fries yet here we are. Can't get around and find value pricing. Liked the little outdoor patio area and the fact that I could put in a food order via phone (instead of just DoorDash). If I was in the area I probably wouldn't tab it on my go-to places but overall a decent but pricey lunch.

Great food and excellent service always from Aime and Nick, the owner. Please do not judge this business based on the negative reviews from some grumpy customers. Every time that we eat at Sofreh we enjoy the best Mediterranean food in Los Angeles. Today is the 26th of June and we are at Sfreh once again. We cannot wait to eat their delicious food. Edit: HEALTH SCORE is C... I didn't know that before coming. Definitely not coming back!!!!! I was really looking forward to Sofeh because Persian food is one of my favorites and since we were already in Monterey Park it was an easy drive to their Los Angeles location. The reviews were strong so I went in with high hopes. Parking was the first headache because it's extremely limited around the area and we ended up walking from a few houses away after circling for a while. When we arrived, we realized it's all outdoor seating with no indoor option and on a warm sunny day that definitely made things uncomfortable. We approached the lady at the window to figure out how to order since there were no clear signs and the setup was a bit confusing. She wasn't outright rude but she wasn't friendly either, and that lack of warmth made the first impression feel cold. We ordered the lamb chops, chicken, and beef mix plate which came out to around sixty dollars for two people. The food took about twenty minutes to come out and you could tell it was freshly grilled by the smell, which I appreciated. When the food arrived it looked great and the portions were fair. The lamb chops were juicy and flavorful, the chicken was tender, and the beef was average. The rice had good texture and the salad was fine, but the sauces were laughably tiny, barely enough for a few bites. Unfortunately the biggest issue wasn't the food but the bugs. There were flies and bees constantly landing on the table and buzzing around our plates which made it impossible to relax. We tried to enjoy our meal but spent most of the time swatting them away. The fans they had running helped a little but not enough to make a difference. Another major disappointment was the lack of a restroom. For a restaurant serving food that you eat with your hands, that's a serious problem. They had hand sanitizer available but it's not the same as being able to wash your hands properly. Overall I would give Sofeh three out of five stars. The food itself was tasty, especially the lamb chops, but the overall dining experience fell short. Between the bugs, lack of shade, confusing ordering system, and no restroom, it's not somewhere I'd dine in again. It's better suited for takeout because while the food has potential, the atmosphere just doesn't make it worth sitting down for.

First time visiting, and we had a great experience. We were greeted with a smile, and our food arrived quickly. The portions were generous, and we really enjoyed the patio seating. The décor is eclectic and adds to the restaurant's unique charm. We'll definitely be back again!

Ordered the lamb chop + chicken lule combo, some fries. Fries were delicious, but the lamb + chicken were rather dry, which was the main course of the meal. Portions are very generous. We definitely over ordered. Overall, a nice decently cheap meal. Good to stop by if it's convenient and you're hungry, but not worth a trek. Theres no indoor dining, but the patio area is pretty nice.

This is a small place with a very cute outdoor seating. There's not much shade from the sun though so bring your sunglasses or a hat. I got a plate of food. The chicken was flavorful but a bit dry. I'm not sure what the other meat was as it tasted funny. I really liked the salad though.

Celebrated my boyfriend's work anniversary here! It's a bit pricey (and their hummus portions are very small) but the portions make up for it. Everything's always fresh, service is quick and attentive. There's and indoor outdoor side patio with lots of seating. Parking can be a challenge to find sometimes. Overall a great spot to fill all your Mediterranean cravings!!

This new place that opened up in East Los is a welcomed addition to a location that has seen several eateries come and go. Ordered several dishes including the luleh (various kabobs), lamb chops, humus, and they were all delicious with generous helpings. Been there twice and service was super friendly (thanks, Angelica!) and willing to accommodate day-ahead order for a summer get together I had on the weekend. We will definitely be going back and hope the good peeps of East Los and surrounding area will patronize this business. read more

5 stars for service & delicious food. We picked up the Sofreh kabob plate & it is definitely plenty of food for 3-4 people. Came by on a Thursday evening, they were nice enough to substitute the tzatziki sauce for hummus, all of it was fresh. This spot is definitely a regular on our list from now on. Ordered the Persian curry, 5pc lamb chop plate, shirazi salad and babaganoush. Enjoyed the lamb,, salad and baba but the Persian curry was disappointing- Didn't notice anything "special" about the rice ‍ three 1 inch slices of eggplant, couldn't find the chunks of beef and about a cupful of yellow split peas with white onion slivers surrounding it all. I would not recommend and don't feel like it was worth the $$. Everything else was okay. If You enjoy lamb, get the lamb :) read more

I've been wanting to try this place. I like Mediterranean food and here's a restaurant in ELA. The parking is a problem which is probably why it took me so long to try it but I was told that people could park across the street without worry. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken was delicious. The only think i didn't like about it was the pita bread it came with. Usually pita bread is warm and soft but this one wasn't. Still everything else it came with was definitely worth the 14.99. Will go again soon. read more

I had been craving Mediterranean food forever. I happen to drive by a few days ago and noticed Sofreh took over the chicken joint. This place hits the spot. The beef lule was delicious. This is hands down one of the best mediterranean meals I have ever had. We got the sofreh platter, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything from the beef kebab to the chicken to the most delicious lamb you're ever taste. The atmosphere is immaculate, and the workers are the sweetest and kindest people ever. 10 STARS!!!! From the amazing customer service from Angelica and staff to the mouthwatering food! The smell itself was intoxicating but when I actually ate the tender juicy meats I knew I had found my new spot! I ordered the chicken kabob mix and my brother ordered the chicken lule wrap. It was so good. So refreshing, great flavors and the chicken was very soft. I enjoy eating Mediterranean food and I'm glad there's one, walking distance by my home. My brother enjoyed his wrap as well. The plate orders is enough for two people. Rarely do I leave reviews, nor read them. However, after three visits to Sofreh, I can very objectively state that the chicken is very flavorful and moist, the salads that I've enjoyed, crisp and fresh, and the service very attentive. Also, the patio area is quaint with nice ambient music. I'd have no reservations about dining here in the future. And to truly demonstrate the quality of our experience here, Sofreh is catering our wedding in June. You can't go wrong with good food and good people, and Sofreh has these both in abundance. read more

Great place for Mediterranean/ Persian food we tried the chicken kabob plate which came with rice, chicken a bit of the Shirazi salad and pita bread. Overall everything tasted great but the standout was the chicken which was juicy and flavorful not dry at all. We also tried the beef wrap which was also delicious. I am upset that I didn't discover this place as soon as it opened. I was doing some work around the house and I started getting hungry. In my hunger-induced state, I ordered the Sofreh Kabob plate for me and my dad. I tried a bit of each meat and they were tender and delicious! I usually hate chicken breast because it's dryness makes eating it a chore but theirs were a goddamn delight! We both had our fill for lunch but we definitely have enough leftover for dinner (and maybe breakfast tomorrow). My only complaint is that the rice was a bit hard/dry but that could be a bad batch. Decided to try something different in which landed us here at Sofreh. Was a little skeptical at first because it was dark out. So glad we stayed. The food was exquisite! The chicken was my favorite. The portions are large and tasty. The service was phenomenal. Angelica was amazing. Very personable, very welcoming. She topped off the night with her great service and smile.
