My friends and I came into eat here a few nights ago. The food was good but the service was not so great. The first time our server went through our order, he forgot the takoyaki so we let him know. But it was weird because when I said takoyaki, he wrote something down at the same time but I guess it wasn't the takoyaki haha. We ordered the cheesy sizzling chicken cutlet. All my friends heard me say it, but when he repeated our order back to us he said chicken cutlet and I thought he heard me say cheesy sizzling, I guess not. We had never been there before so I didn't know there were two separate chicken cutlet dishes. It came out as a regular chicken cutlet and when we told a different server, she called our actual server and he basically blamed me and said he repeated our order and that's what he heard me say. So okay, whatever, we didn't want to be THOSE customers so we decided to take it and just eat it. Because they just stared at us not offering to remake it but asking us if we wanted it to be redone in a "do you really want us to remake it for you" type of way. We ordered spam kimchi fried rice and when it came out, we didn't see any spam. So before touching it, we called a server and asked because we didn't see any spam. He was rude and very short and said, "yeah it's in there." So we were like okay, whatever. All four of us dig in the spam kimchi fried rice and I mean we searched like EVERYWHERE in it and there was NO SPAM. At all. So I rang the bell 4 times... because no one came over to us the first 3 times I rang it. So the 4th time the rude server comes over again and we're like, "we searched everywhere... and theres literally no spam" so immediately he's like okay we'll go check in the kitchen. Like... what?? Why do you have to check? Do you think we're blind and lying? Haha so he comes back and he's like okay so they put spam in it, but it's chopped up really small so that's why you can't see any.... so the kitchen is going to put more in for you. And I was blown away by his response haha basically making putting fault on us again. I ordered SPAM kimchi fried rice, not a lil bit of spam kimchi fried rice. And mind you, there was literally no spam in there. We all tasted it too and you couldn't taste any spam. So I told him we didn't want it anymore and I wanted it to be taken off our bill. Because that whole situation just pissed me off and I didn't want little invisible pieces of chopped up spam. They gave us the check and we paid but left no tip. I love leaving tip because I'm a server as well so I always tip big for servers who are nice. But they basically handled the situations that came up during our time here very poorly, and I felt like it was our fault that he didn't hear us say cheesy skillet and our fault that there was no spam anywhere in our fried rice when I ordered a spam kimchi fried rice. The food we had was good, the girl server that came to our table once was very sweet and accommodating. Maybe if she was our server the review would've been different but the guys that came and helped our table were rude and displeasing. Overall, food was average and good. Great place and had a great time! The only downside was that there were only the two of us. Both of us were first timers, but will definitely come back. We ordered the grilled garlic squid, takoyaki, and pork belly/seafood okonomiyaki. The takoyaki was good and had the crunch I was looking for. The okonomiyaki was amazing, AND it wasn't crowded with just veggies. We came in when it was just opening for the day so the there was no wait and service and good. Have come here for the first time as a family-friend holiday reunion, but the wait time for the food was over a good 30 mins, while the staff told us we had an hour to eat at the two tables we occupied. It is totally reasonable for the time restrictions considering our large headcount, but trying to wave the waiters' attentions was a struggle (the place is possibly understaffed), especially when we were seated and did not have enough menus. I ended up going to the front desk and took some for the group, and when the food finally came, two orders ended up being wrong, and one did not arrive at all. On the flip side, what was cooked was very delicious and the business had compensated, telling me that the mixed up orders were on the house. read more

I went to this place after watching Mission Impossible: Fallout. This place was located in a small to medium sized strip mall. There was not much of a wait and we were seated promptly. Granted we did go on a Saturday night, the music was BUMPING. It reminded me of a club. They did however have a quieter part of the restaurant where my friend and I were ultimately sat. The food itself was pretty good. Little bit on the pricey side and pretty generic I think for this type of joint, but still tasty nonetheless. Word of caution: when they said their specialty sauce was hot, IT WAS. Strangely enough, it wasn't an overbearing heat, it was sweet and sort of tangy, it just so happened to melt your face. My main complaint would be that (at least when my friend and I went) there was a promotion that went along the lines of "give us a good review and you'll get a free bottle of beer or a soda". I really liked the yogurt soju (peach)! :) we ended up ordering another more traditional sausage dish that had cheese on it and it was better. They have happy hour 5-7pm (not sure if it is every day), and everything on the menu is 30% off. You are given a little bowl of popcorn with your menus, which was a nice freebie. We shared a fish cake soup (+ ramen), ddukbokki (+ ramen), and the cheese blanket chicken. The soup really hit the spot and was really comforting, and the ddukbokki satisfied our craving for something spicy. Chicken was not bad, but I prefer dry fried over sauced. Ordered the ddukboki and it was dark red. Obviously, the cook over used the chili powder. We didn't mind the heat, but there was no flavor watsoever. The Whole chicken should be called a whole chick!
