Walked in at 12:20 PM on a Tuesday for lunch during Xmas week, and the place was almost empty - but the lunch specials are a great deal. Margherita pizza and eggplant parmesan were tasty if nothing too special. Service was good.

This is obviously a neighborhood favorite. Place was packed and buzzing with patrons. We were seated immediately and our waitress popped by instantly. Food also arrived really quick and was so yummy. Pizza and pasta both were very yummy. Caesar salad was one of my favorites I've had. If you don't like loud music and noisy environment then skip this spot. It's very lively. My only complaint was our server never brought our water. She started off strong but we had to flag her down every time we needed anything. However, she managed to visit with our neighbors table at length. Perhaps they were a regular but we left a little annoyed with the service. Pizza was great though!

food was soooo good. idk why i was expecting to be average/touristy but it exceeded my expectations! service was quick. only con about this place is that it's super crowded. they really pack the tables in. feels like you're sitting on top of/part of your neighbor's conversation

Came to eat here on a work outing. Tight fitting with the seating but I think that's expected in NY. Service was a bit slow after initial ordering as well but the place was packed so seems expected. The food itself (got the Primavera pizza) was really good and I'd recommend it. But price to taste, I'd say I'd rather hit up those dollar pizzas you can get walking around. I also can't give 5 stars at this place cause randomly it turned into a club with loud music for some bday people. I guess cool for the bday folks cause they looked like they were having fun but I'm sensitive to loud noises so couldn't stand it and was relieved when they killed the loud music. I saw a lot of takeout happening for it so if anything I'd recommend that.

Pizza Parmigiana & I think the Porcini?

I've been on a gourmet pizza hunt in recent weeks, so I've made it a mission to try some of the best NYC and even Jersey City has to offer. Unlike some of the fancier spots, I was able to secure a reservation easily at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. The place is pretty cute in both the interior and exterior. Definitely gives the vibes of a pizzeria in Italy, definitely Naples. Knowing the style of pizza and the sizing, we opted for two pizzas. We got the pizza parmigiana and what I believe is the Porcini, but could easily be wrong. It's the white pie with mushrooms and I guess some basil. Pizzas were awesome. Very easy to eat as the pies were very light. The pizza parmigiana was one of my favorites as eggplant is my favorite gourmet topping. Marinara sauce was also wonderfully tasty. The white pie was good too. I just think I butchered the actual item I ordered. The service is relatively fast once you place your order too. I think we finished in just under an hour. Pricey, but worth a visit once (or a few times if you can)

Very very good neapolitan pizza like that crust is fluffy af omg. Got the margherita just as a litmus test but saw they have a deep fried crust which sounds interesting so I may return to try that. Also tried the White Truffle Cream Gnocchi which was veryyy rich but so yum. Also even dipping my pizza crust in that truffle sauce was bombastic like yummmmmmm

Truffle (Tartufata) and Napoletana (with anchovies)

3.5 stars Got the Truffle (Tartufata) and Napoletana (with anchovies) pizza + calamari. Skip the calamari as it's very dry and napoletana (not because of anchovies but because the anchovies are extremely salty)! The crust/dough is AMAZINGLY fluffy and soft. Cute tourist-in-Napoli vibes, good for date night!

Pizza Burrata, black truffle, prosciutto & porcini mushrooms amazing.

Hands down the best Italian restaurant! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff makes you feel like family. A true Italian experience--can't wait to come back!

Very good Neapolitan pies paired with slightly clubby vibes ostensibly geared towards the NYU crowd. (Read: birthday celebrations entail the lights being shut off and "In Da Club" being played at top volume.) The best components of the pies we ordered were the dough (naturally) and the succulent mashed eggplant on the parmigiana pie. Those two items alone are enough to warrant a return visit!

My favorite restaurant and location to eat at! The vibes and quality of the food are all there. Food is super authentic and reminds me of home. I literally bring all my friends and family here. I highly recommend it!

Awesome Naples style pizza in NYC. The crust is crispy but the rest of the dough is very soft. It feels authentic. The pizza could feed two, but I could easily eat a pie. Good attentive service too.

The food was recommended to me by a NYC pizza expert. It did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and fresh. And the decor is super fun--I felt as if I were back in Naples.

Seventeen months ago, this establishment graced me with the most precious moment. Eating Margherita pizza with guttural noises of approval from my compatriot Jackson, we spotted a girl no older than six roaming the restaurant with immense comfort. Hugging workers legs and peering onto the open kitchen counters. We thought this was surely blood to the owner, but it was cuter than that. Every Sunday this little girl would join her father for lunch at Song E Napule. She'd been coming here for hundreds of Sundays! Our waiter brought her over like the celebrity she is and introduced this little legend. Initially shying away, I asked to hear her favorite slice. In very American English she says "cheeeese" and then in very Italian English "and Margherita!" I affirm her by saying (in American English) that Margherita is my favorite too. Her response (in very Italian English) was "No! Mar-guh-reeta!!" Cute, adorable, sweet, all of the above. Shoutout that dad too, you rock. Our party came to share a Margherita pie and was met with the same familial hospitality. When your waiter hits you with a "there you go family" while he sets down a circle of oven-fired heaven then you've made it. Savor that moment and any future seat in this place. A final anecdote, tummies were a bit shambolic after a lot of previous restaurant stops. The lemon baking soda concoction that coats mustaches and drips onto your shoes single-handedly revived my guy Dom's stummy. Song E Napule deserves your time. Much love!

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. We went in December night of 2024 so some aspects of the menu have changed however, most of the dishes still appear to be on their menu as of now, June 2026. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified. We told them the time of our show, food was out quickly, nicely presented, still hot and very tasty. The restaurant was not noisy and had space between the tables. It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!
